在不增加或尽量少增加硬件的前提下,提出了两种新的双机或多单片机问数据交换方法。其中纯软件方法采用四根连接线和相应的时序实现,节约了硬件资源;而采用增加串行RAM的方法,通过分时访问串行RAM,任何一个MCU对串行RAM访问过程中不需要其他MCU的参与,从而提高各MCU的实时性。并针对多机分时串行RAM访问中可能出现的竞争风险提出了有效的解决方法。 相似文献

Though the ubiquity of CAD tools in state-of-the-art VLSI design has forced the issue of user interfaces for CAD to prominence, one type of user interface that has not been investigated hitherto is the naturallanquage interface. The CAD domain is substantially more complex than the domains for which previous natural-language interfaces have been built. This implies that a natural-language interface for CAD cannot be based on previous approaches to language understanding; a new approach is required. Our approach emphasizes flexibility, parallelism, and redundancy, and is embodied in an interface called Cleopatra. Ultimately, Cleopatra will be an interface for an ?integrated design environment.? As a first step towards that goal, but also as a useful tool in its own right, Cleopatra currently deals with circuit-simulation post-processing. 相似文献

Technology offers substantial benefits to the many people with some form of cognitive disability. But the power of technology
often comes in a package whose complexity is a barrier to many users, leading to calls for designs, and especially designs
for user interfaces, that are “simple”. This paper analyzes the idea of simplicity, and suggests (a) that simplicity in a
user interface is not a unified concept, but rather has distinguishable facets, and (b) that simplicity must be defined in
terms of the cognitive capabilities of a user, so that what is “simpler” for one user may be “more complex” for another. Despite
(b), the prospects for universal design in this area are good, in that interface technology with the flexibility needed to
produce “simple” interfaces for a range of users with different cognitive strengths will be of value in addressing the overall
design space of interfaces for a broad audience. While it is possible to sketch the outlines of a useful theory of simplicity,
the sketch reveals much that is not fully understood. It also reveals opportunities to rethink the architecture of user interfaces

Powerful microcontrollers are used as parts of most home and office appliances of today. Integrating web servers to these intelligent devices will aid in controlling them over the Internet and also in creating effective user interfaces in the form of web pages. Assigning multiple functionalities to a single button on an appliance help manufacturers economize user interfaces, but, this can easily create confusion for the users. Since the cost of web-based interfaces is considerably low, they can be used to provide the infrastructure for the design of simple and more user-friendly interfaces for household appliances. Also, a web page based interface is much easier to change, when needed, as compared to a hardware interface. This paper presents a novel approach to control devices with embedded web servers over the Internet and to form device networks such that their components can make use of one another's services and functions while improving the user interfaces. The main benefits of this approach include its lightweight design, automatic configuration, and, utilization of widely available and tested network protocols of TCP/IP and HTTP. The validity of the approach has been verified through a prototype system working with real appliances. 相似文献

User interface adaptation has been proposed in recent years as a means to achieve personalized accessibility and usability of user interfaces. Related user interface architectures, as well as a variety of related development method and tools, have also been elaborated. Admittedly, however, despite the recognized validity of the approach, which has been proved in practice in a series of prototype systems, the wider adoption and uptake of user interface adaptation approaches are still limited. One of the identified obstacles is the complexity intrinsic in designing such interfaces and the need of radically revising the current user interface design practice to account for (a) the alternative designs required for adaptation, (b) the parameters involved in driving adaptations (i.e., selecting among alternatives at a given point during interaction), and (c) the logic of adaptation at runtime. This article proposes a twofold tool-based support strategy for user interface adaptation development, based on (a) an adaptation development toolkit and related widget library, which directly embeds lexical level adaptations into common interactive widgets, and (b) embedding such a library in a common integrated development environment, thus allowing designers to define and view alternative adaptations at design time and create adaptable user interfaces through traditional prototyping. The aforementioned approach has been implemented in the domain of adaptable applications for older users, producing tools that are currently in use in the development of a large suite of interactive applications in various domains. The approach presented in this article is claimed to be the first and so far unique supporting rapid prototyping of adaptable user interfaces, thus minimizing the divergence between typical development practices and user interface adaptation development. 相似文献

Geometric modelling is the basis for design and technological planning. The integration of these tasksis the goal of the Norwegian-German APS project (Advanced Production System). In this project, the geometric model is created as a module within a solid model that handles analytic and nonanlytic geometry. The module has two interfaces: to the object-oriented operational database and to applications via a geometry-definition interface that will be enlarged to become an application interface. The geometric module can be integrated into vendor environments which normally have two-dimensional capabilities. The functional capabilities are based in COMPAC and the GPM-sculptured surface system.
