This paper is concerned with the design of a robust adaptive tracking control scheme for a class of variable stiffness actuators (VSAs) based on the lever mechanisms. For these VSAs based on the lever mechanisms, the AwAS‐II developed at Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) is chosen as the study object, and it is an enhanced version of the original realization AwAS (actuator with adjustable stiffness). Firstly, for the dynamic model of the AwAS‐II system in the presence of parametric uncertainties, unknown bounded friction torques, unknown bounded external disturbance and input saturation constraints, by using the coordinate transformations and the static state feedback linearization, the state space model of the AwAS‐II system with composite disturbances and input saturation constraints is transformed into an uncertain multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) linear system with lumped disturbances and input saturation constraints. Subsequently, a combination of the feedback linearization, disturbance observer, sliding mode control and adaptive input saturation compensation law is adopted for the design of the robust tracking controller that simultaneously regulates the position and stiffness of the AwAS‐II system. Under the proposed controller, the semi‐global uniformly ultimately bounded stability of the closed‐loop system has been proved via Lyapunov stability analysis. Simulation results illustrate the effectiveness and the robustness of the proposed robust adaptive tracking control scheme.  相似文献

The goal of this paper is global disturbance rejection in nonlinear systems. An output feedback controller with disturbance rejection is developed for a class of nonlinear multi input-multi output (MIMO) systems. The availability of state variables and the bound of disturbances are not required to be known in advance and reference tracking will is guaranteed. By the aid of designing an adaptive observer, a robust adaptive nonlinear state feedback controller using the estimated states is proposed. For tracking problem, an adaptive pre-compensator is used. The control methodology is robust against both constant and time varying bounded disturbances, maintaining effective performance. The adaptive laws are derived based on the Lyapunov synthesis method, therefore closed-loop asymptotic stability is also guaranteed. Moreover, for chattering reduction we use a low-pass filter. Consequently, small gain theorem is adopted to prove the stability of the closed-loop system. Simulation results are employed to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed controller.  相似文献

This paper investigates the problem of output feedback attitude tracking control of a rigid spacecraft in the presence of external disturbances. Two optimal control laws with a disturbance estimator are developed to deal with this problem. An adapted extended state observer is used to estimate the angular velocity tracking errors and to allow for compensation for the total disturbances. The proposed control can be expressed as the sum of a nonlinear optimal controller and an estimated disturbance. For the optimal controller, the state‐dependent Riccati equation and optimal Lyapunov techniques are employed to solve the infinite‐time nonlinear optimal control problem. The developed controllers can minimize a performance index and ensure the stability of the closed‐loop system and external disturbance attenuation. On the other hand, using the adapted extended state observer, the asymptotic convergence of estimation error dynamics is proven. An example of multiaxial attitude manoeuvres is given and simulation results are included to demonstrate and verify the usefulness of the proposed controllers.  相似文献

In this article, committed to extending the robust integral of the sign of the error (RISE) feedback control to the working condition of output feedback, a novel output feedback controller with a continuously bounded control input which combines the adaptive control and integral robust feedback will be proposed for trajectory tracking of a family of nonlinear systems subject to modeling uncertainties. A novel adaptive state observer (ASO) with disturbance rejection performance is creatively constructed to derive real-time estimation of the unmeasured state signals. Moreover, a projection-type adaption law is integrated to handle parameter uncertainties and an integral robust term is employed to deal with external disturbances. It is shown that asymptotic estimation performance and meanwhile asymptotic tracking result can eventually be derived. Simulation validations are implemented to demonstrate the high tracking performance of the presented controller. Notably, the synthesized control algorithm can be readily extended to the Euler–Lagrange systems. Typically, it can be extended to practical electromechanical equipment such as three-dimensional vector forming robots to improve the real-time forming accuracy.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the problem of output‐feedback tracking control for a class of nonlinear SISO systems in the strick‐feedback form, which are subject to both uncertain delay‐related functions and disturbances. A reduced‐order observer is first introduced to provide the estimates of the unmeasured states. Then, an output‐feedback controller is recursively designed based on the backsteppng method. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional, we prove that all the signals in the closed‐loop system are bounded. The tracking performance is guaranteed by suitably choosing the design parameters. Finally, a simulation example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm. In this paper, an observer‐based output tracking controller for an SISO nonminimum phase discrete‐time system is proposed. When the disturbances between two consecutive sampling instances do not vary significantly, the observer algorithm can simultaneously estimate the system states and the unknown perturbation, and can render the estimation errors of system states and perturbation constrained in a small bounded region. The control law, including a feedforward term and a feedback input, can make the tracking error constrained in a small bounded region with guaranteed system stability. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed control scheme.  相似文献

An event‐triggered observer‐based output feedback control issue together with triggered input is investigated for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems subject to unknown external disturbances. Two separate event‐triggered conditions are located on the measurement channel and control channel, respectively. An event‐triggered extended state observer (ETESO) is employed to estimate unmeasurable states and compensate uncertainties and disturbances in real time while it is not required for real‐time output measurement. Then, combined with backstepping method and active disturbance rejection control, an output feedback control scheme is proposed, where an event‐triggered input is developed for reducing the communication rate between the controller and the actuator. The triggered instants are determined by a time‐varying event‐triggered condition. Two simulations, including a numerical example and an permanent‐magnet motor, are illustrated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed schemes.  相似文献

The problem of output feedback model predictive control of discrete time systems in the presence of additive but bounded state and output disturbances is considered. The overall controller consists of two components, a stable state estimator and a tube based, robustly stabilizing model predictive controller. Earlier results are extended by allowing the estimator to be time varying. The proposed robust output feedback controller requires the online solution of a standard quadratic program. The closed loop system renders a specified invariant set robustly exponentially stable.  相似文献

Asymptotic output‐feedback tracking in a class of causal nonminimum phase uncertain nonlinear systems is addressed via sliding mode techniques. Sliding mode control is proposed for robust stabilization of the output tracking error in the presence of a bounded disturbance. The output reference profile and the unknown input/disturbance are supposed to be described by unknown linear exogenous systems of a given order. Local asymptotic stability of the output tracking error dynamics along with the boundedness of the internal states are proven. The unstable internal states are estimated asymptotically via the proposed multistage observer that is based on the method of extended system center. A higher‐order sliding mode observer/differentiator is used for the exact estimation of the input–output states in a finite time. The bounded disturbance is reconstructed asymptotically. A numerical example illustrates the efficiency of the proposed output‐feedback tracking approach developed for causal nonminimum phase nonlinear systems. In this paper, we consider a class of MIMO nonlinear systems with fast time‐varying parametric uncertainties. First, the tracking problem of general nonlinearly time‐varyingly parameterized systems is solved. Then, a Lyapunov‐based singularity free adaptive controller is proposed for the considered system. Specifically, an estimation approach with a proportional plus integral adaptation scheme is utilized to update the estimations of the unknown parameters under a mild assumption that the signs of the leading minors of the input gain matrix are known. The asymptotic stability is achieved with full state feedback. Furthermore, we design an output feedback controller by utilizing a standard high‐gain observer and achieve uniformly ultimately bounded convergence. Simulation examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.  相似文献

This paper presents an approximation design for a decentralized adaptive output‐feedback control of large‐scale pure‐feedback nonlinear systems with unknown time‐varying delayed interconnections. The interaction terms are bounded by unknown nonlinear bounding functions including unmeasurable state variables of subsystems. These bounding functions together with the algebraic loop problem of virtual and actual control inputs in the pure‐feedback form make the output‐feedback controller design difficult and challenging. To overcome the design difficulties, the observer‐based dynamic surface memoryless local controller for each subsystem is designed using appropriate Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functionals, the function approximation technique based on neural networks, and the additional first‐order low‐pass filter for the actual control input. It is shown that all signals in the total controlled closed‐loop system are semiglobally uniformly bounded and control errors converge to an adjustable neighborhood of the origin. Finally, simulation examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed decentralized control scheme. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper considers the tracking problem of a delayed uncertain first‐order system which is simultaneously subject to (possibly large) known input delay, unknown but bounded time‐varying disturbance, and unknown plant parameter. The proposed predictor adaptive robust controller (PARC) involves prediction‐based projection type adaptation laws with model compensation and prediction‐based continuous robust feedback such that the closed loop system has global exponential convergence with an ultimate bound proportional to delay, disturbance bound, and switching gain. Further, if there are only delay and parameter uncertainties after some finite time, then semi‐global asymptotic tracking is guaranteed. The proposed design is shown to have significant closed loop performance improvement over the baseline controller.  相似文献

Optimal tracking control (OTC) for discrete time‐delay systems affected by persistent disturbances with quadratic performance indexes is considered. Optimal tracking controller is designed based on a sensitivity approximation approach. By introducing a sensitivity parameter, we transform the original OTC problem into a series of difference equations without time‐advance on time‐delay terms. The obtained OTC law consists of analytic feedback and feedforward terms, and a compensation term, which is the sum of the infinite series of adjoint vectors. The compensation term can be obtained with an iterated formula for the adjoint vectors. A simulation example shows that the approximation approach is effective in tracking the reference input and robust with respect to exogenous persistent disturbances.  相似文献

The robust receding horizon control (RHC) synthesis approach is developed in this paper, for the simultaneous tracking and regulation problem (STRP) of wheeled vehicles with bounded disturbances. Considering the bounded disturbances, we firstly provide a robust positively invariant (RPI) set and associated feedback controller for the perturbed vehicles, which contribute to the foundation of the robust RHC synthesis approach. Then, by extending the tube‐based approach introduced in the article of Mayne et al (robust model predictive control of constrained linear systems with bounded disturbances in Automatica, 2005, vol. 41) to the STRP of wheeled vehicles, we employ the designed RPI set to determine the robust tube and terminal state region, and further construct a nominal optimal control problem. The actual control input is implemented by correcting the solved nominal input with the designed feedback controller. Following the contributed properties of the developed RPI set and extended tube‐based approach, a robust RHC algorithm is finally proposed with the guarantees of recursive feasibility and robust convergence, which can also be adapted for real‐time implementation. Additionally, due to the elaborate control design, the effect of disturbances can be completely nullified to achieve better tracking performance. The effectiveness and advantage of the proposed approach are illustrated by two simulation examples.  相似文献

In this work, a new robust nonlinear feedback control method with dynamic active compensation is proposed; the active control method has been applied to an integral series of finite‐time single‐input single‐output nonlinear system with uncertainty. In further tracking the closed‐loop stability and nonlinear uncertainty, an extended state observer has been employed to solve the immeasurability and nonlinear uncertainty within a nonlinear system. A singular perturbation theory has been used to solve for the finite‐time stability of the closed‐loop system; furthermore, numerical simulations showed that the robust nonlinear feedback controller tracked the uncertainty in a nonlinear Duffing‐type oscillator and has proven the effectiveness of the approximate finite‐time control strategy proposed. By using an approximate finite‐time control approach with active compensation, the uncertainty in a nonlinear system could be accurately estimated and controlled.

This article addresses the problem of global output feedback stabilization for a class of time‐varying delay nonlinear systems with polynomial growth rate. The systems under investigation possess two remarkable features: the output is perturbed by an unknown sensitivity function that is not differentiable but continuous, and the nonlinearities are bounded by a polynomial function of the output multiplied by unmeasurable state variables. The new full‐order observer is established by introducing a dynamic gain and filtering unknown nonlinearities and time‐varying delay. With the help of the transformation skill and the reasonable combination of several systems, this article proposes a linear output feedback controller with the dynamic gain and completes the performance analysis based on the construction of two integral Lyapunov functions. Finally, a simulation example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of control strategy.  相似文献

A novel anti‐windup design of active disturbance rejection control (ADRC) is proposed for industrial sampled systems with input delay and saturation. By using a generalized predictor to estimate the delay‐free system output, a modified extended state observer is designed to simultaneously estimate the system state and disturbance, which could become an anti‐windup compensator when the input saturation occurs. Accordingly, a feedback controller is analytically designed for disturbance rejection. By proposing the desired closed‐loop transfer function for the set‐point tracking, a prefilter is designed to tune the tracking performance while guaranteeing no steady‐state output tracking error. A sufficient condition for the closed‐loop system stability is established with proof for practical application subject to the input delay variation. Illustrative examples from the literature are used to demonstrate the effectiveness and merit of the proposed control design.  相似文献

The output tracking controller design problem is dealt with for a class of nonlinear semi‐strict feedback systems in the presence of mismatched nonlinear uncertainties, external disturbances, and uncertain nonlinear virtual control coefficients of the subsystems. The controller is designed in a backstepping manner, and to avoid the shortcoming of ‘explosion of terms’, the dynamic surface control technique that employs a group of first‐order low‐pass filters is adopted. At each step of the virtual controller design, a robust feedback controller employing some effective nonlinear damping terms is designed to guarantee input‐to‐state practical stable property of the corresponding subsystem, so that the system states remain in the feasible domain. The virtual controller is enhanced by a finite‐time disturbance observer that estimates the disturbance term in a finite‐time. The properties of the composite control system are analyzed theoretically. Furthermore, by exploiting the cascaded structure of the control system, a simplified robust controller is proposed where only the first subsystem employs a disturbance observer. The performance of the proposed methods is confirmed by numerical examples. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
