The morphology and crystallography of phases in the Cu-0.12% Zr alloy were investigated by scanning electron microscope(SEM), transmission electron microscope(TEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscope(HRTEM). The results show that the as-cast microstructure of Cu–Zr alloy is mainly Cu matrix and eutectic structure which consist of Cu and Cu5Zr phases with a fine lamellar structure. The disk-shaped and plateliked Cu5Zr phases with fcc structure are found in the matrix, in which habit plane is parallel to {111}a plane of the matrix.Between the copper matrix and Cu5Zr phase, there exists an orientation relationship of [112]a|| [011]Cu5Zr;(111)a||(111)Cu5Zr. The space structure model of Cu5Zr phase can be established.  相似文献

The precipitation process of aged Cu-Ni-Be alloy was investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), trans- mission electron microscopy (TEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The tensile strength, yield strength, and electronic conductivity of this alloy after aging were also studied. The precipitation sequence of the C17510 alloy aged at 525 ℃ is supersat-urated solid solution→G.P zones→ γ″-γ′→ γ. This transformation can be achieved by the accumulation of Be-atom layers. The G.P zones are composed of disk-shaped monolayers of Be atoms, which are formed on (001) matrix planes. The intermediate γ″ precipitate is nucleated in the G.P zones. The γ″ and γ′ precipitates have the same orientation relationship with matrix, e.g., (110)p||(100)M,[001]p||[001]M. The tensile strength of specimen shows a maximum during the aging process and then continuously decreases if the specimen is over aged. The strengthening effect of γ′ phase precipitated in aging at 525 ℃ for 4 h is calculated to be 436 MPa according to the Orowan strengthening, which is quite consistent with the experimental data.  相似文献

The precipitation behavior of different phases in a high-silicon stainless steel (6 wt%Si) during aging at 600–1050℃ for24 h was investigated. The morphology, crystal structure and composition of various precipitates were detailly characterized using optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.Four phases were mainly identified:χ-phase,M_6C carbides,σphase and a new type of fcc-phase.During aging at 600–900℃,the main precipitate was(Cr,Mo and Si)-richχ-phase which was directly precipitated fromγmatrix.Theχ-phase was calibrated as bcc structure with a lattice parameter of 8.90?.The peak temperature for the precipitation ofχ-phase was 800℃,and it was dissolved when aging at temperatures above 1000℃.Theσ-phase was observed only at 700℃ and grew next toχ-phase.Above 700℃,a new fcc-phase was found to be precipitated along withχ-phase,with a space group of Fd3c and a lattice parameter of 12.56?.The M_6C carbides started to be precipitated at 700℃ in the vicinity ofχ-phase.And its amount basically increased with the increasing of temperature. An orientation relationship between M_6C/γwas found:[100]c//[100]γ,(001)c//(001)γ,i.e.,the cube-on-cube relationship.  相似文献

The microstructural evolution of Ni–42Ti–7Al and Ni–41Ti–7Al alloys as a function of solution and aging heat treatment was investigated using transmission electron microscopy(TEM), electron probe, and X-ray diffraction(XRD). The results reveal that the volume fraction of Ti2 Ni phase as well as its composition does not change significantly after as-solution treated at 1200 °C and aged at 850 °C. At the early stage of the aging treatment at 850 °C for 1 h, the cuboidal β' precipitate keeps coherency with the matrix; further aging, β' precipitate coarsens, and the semicoherency between the β/β' two phases are observed. The shape of coarsened β' precipitates changes to the globule, and the interface dislocations are introduced accompanied by the occurrence of semicoherent precipitates. Under the same heat treatment, compared to the Ni–42Ti–7Al alloy, the lattice misfits of the Ni–41Ti–7Al alloy between the β and β' two phases are larger, so the β' precipitates in Ni–41Ti–7Al alloy are coarsened severely and easily lose coherency with the matrix. The thermal stability of Ni–41Ti–7Al alloy is much worse when aging at 850 °C.  相似文献

The as-cast multi-element Mg–4Gd–1Y–1Zn–0.5Ca–1Zr alloy with low rare earth additions was prepared, and the solution treatment was applied at different temperatures. The microstructural evolution of the alloy was characterized by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and corrosion properties of the alloy in 3.5% NaCl solution were evaluated by immersion and electrochemical tests. The results indicate that the as-cast alloy is composed of the a-Mg matrix, lamellar long-period stacking-ordered(LPSO) structure and eutectic phase. The LPSO structure exists with more volume fraction in the alloy solution-treated at 440 °C, but disappears with the increase in the solution temperature. For all the solution-treated alloys, the precipitated phases are detected. The corrosion rates of the alloys decrease first and then increase slightly with the increase in the solution temperature, and the corrosion resistance of the solution-treated alloys is more than four times as good as that of the as-cast alloy. In addition, the alloy solution-treated at 480 °C for 6 h shows the best corrosion property.  相似文献

The arc erosion behavior of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy after heat treatment was investigated experimentally by a JF04 C electric contact test system. The arc duration, arc energy, contact resistance and contact pressure of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy after solution treatment and aging treatment were analyzed. The arc erosion morphologies were contrastively observed by a three-dimensional measuring system and scanning electron microscopy. For the Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy in solution state and aging state, the maximum values of arc duration are 90 and 110 ms, and the arc energies are 15,000 and18,000 m J, respectively. The maximum value of the contact resistance of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy in different states is about 33 m X. The contact pressure of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy in solution state generally changes between 50 and 60 c N during whole make-and-break contacts, while in aging state, it has a larger fluctuation range. Moreover, the quality of moving contact(anode) decreases, while static contact(cathode) increases. The materials transfer from anode to cathode during make-and-break contacts. The total mass losses of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy in solution state and aging state are 3and 1.2 mg, respectively. In addition, a number of discrete corrosion pits, molten droplet, porosity and cavity distribute on the surface of moving contact and static contact. The arc erosion model of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy in make-and-break contact was built. The arc erosion resistance of Cu–0.23Be–0.84 Co alloy after heat treatment is closely related to the microstructure and the properties of contact materials. This experimental study is important to evaluate the anode or cathode electrocorrosion fatigue life.  相似文献

Study of δ-hydrides in Ti-2Al-2.5Zr and Ti-4Al-2V alloys   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The α alloy Ti-2Al-2.5Zr and near α alloy Ti-4Al-2V were hydrogenated to various levels. The morphology, orientation relation (OR), and habit plane of the hydrides were studied by means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was found that in the two alloys most of the precipitates are δ-hydrides which have fcc structure with the lattice parameter a = 0.44 nm. Two basic orientation relationships and habit planes of the precipitates are determined. Twin structure was observed in both alloys.  相似文献

Precipites in Cu-0.42%Cr-0.21%Zr alloy were analyzed by using scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDXS) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). After the solid solution was performed at 980℃ for 2 h, water-quenched and aged at 450℃ for 20 h, the precipite had a bimodal distribution of precipitate size. The coarse precipitates are pure Cr and Cu5Zr, the dispersed fine precipitate is CrCu2(Zr, Mg) and pure Cr ranging from 1 to 50 nm. The coarse phases formed during solidification and were left undissolved during solid solution. The fine precipitates are the hardening precipitates that form due to decomposition of the supersaturated solid solution during aging.  相似文献

Homogenization heat treatment of 2099 Al–Li alloy   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3
The microstructure evolution and composition distribution of as-cast and homogenized 2099 aluminum– lithium(Al–Li) alloy were studied by optical microscopy(OM), differential thermal analysis(DTA), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), energy dispersive spectrometry(EDS), area and line scanning, X-ray diffraction(XRD), and Vickers microhardness test methods. The results show that severe dendrite exists in the as-cast alloy. Cu, Zn, Mn, and Mg distribute unevenly from the grain boundary to inside. The low-melting point nonequilibrium eutectic phases dissolve into the matrix during the first-step homogenization, whereas the melting point of residual eutectic phases is elevated. After the second-step homogenization, most of the remaining eutectic phases dissolve into the matrix, except a small amount of Al–Cu–Fe phases. An optimized homogenization process of the 2099 Al–Li alloy is developed(515 °C 9 18 h ? 525 °C 9 16 h), which shows a good agreement with the homogenization kinetic analysis results.  相似文献

The microstructures of as-cast and as-solution Mg–12Gd–2Er–1Zn–0.6Zr alloys were investigated by optical microscopy(OM), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), highresolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM)X-ray diffraction(XRD) and selected-area electron diffraction(SAED) in the present investigation. The results show that the primary eutectic phase Mg_5(Gd, Er, Zn) and some flocculent features are found in the as-cast alloy; the SAED pattern indicates that these flocculent features are the dense areas of stacking faults. The 14H-LPSO structure precipitates in the temperature range of 673–793 K, and the volume fraction of 14H-LPSO structure increases with the extension of heating time; however, there is no precipitation of 14H-LPSO structure when the temperature reaches up to 803 K. In addition, the Mg_5(Gd, Er, Zn) phase dissolves gradually along with the precipitation of 14H-LPSO structure.  相似文献

Study on improvement of conductivity of Cu-Cr-Zr alloys   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The influence of alloying, heat treatment, and plastic working on the performance of Cu-Cr-Zr alloys was investigated. The precipitated phases were characterized as Cr, Cu51Zr14 and Cu5Zr. Cu-Cr-Zr alloys demonstrate combination properties of high strength and high conductivity after solution treatment, aging treatment, and plastic deformation. Precipitation course of Cr is the main factor that influences the conductivity of Cu-Cr-Zr alloys, while adding Zr in the alloys adjusts the orientation relationship between Cr and matrix, and tends to increase the conductivity of aged Cu-Cr-Zr alloys after deformation.  相似文献

The microstructure, mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of Mg–2 Zn–0.6 Zr alloy under the as-cast and asextruded conditions were investigated. Microstructure analysis indicated the remarkable grain refinement by extrusion, as well as notable reductions in volume fraction and size of precipitate phases. As compared with the as-cast alloy, the asextruded alloy exhibited better mechanical performance, especially in yield strength which was promoted from 51 to 194 MPa. Refined grains, dispersive precipitate phases and texture were thought to be the main factors affecting the improved performance in strength. The electrochemical measurement and immersion test revealed the corrosion rate of Mg–2 Zn–0.6 Zr alloy by extrusion decreased from 1.68 to 0.32 mm/year. The reasons for the enhanced corrosion resistance were mainly attributed to the decreased volume fraction and Volta potential of the precipitate phases, the refinement of the grain size, as well as the formation of more protective corrosion film.  相似文献

The formation of highly coherent double-shelled L1_2 nano-precipitates in dilute Al–Er–Sc–Zr alloys was investigated with the combined use of Cs-corrected transmission electron microscopy characterization and first-principles energetics calculations. The double-shelled nano-precipitates are primarily featured with an Er-rich core surrounded by a Sc-rich inner shell and a Zr-rich outer shell. First-principles energetics analyses based on the classic homogenous nucleation theory suggested that once forms, this double-shell structure can be thermally stable. The predominant formation of this double-shell structure has thus both profound kinetic and thermodynamic origins. Its formation and stability preference to all other possible L1_2 nano-structures would become more pronounced as its size increases, no matter what the solute ratio and aging temperature of interest.  相似文献

The effects of different Zr additions(0.05wt.%-0.5wt.%)on the structure and tensile properties of an Al-4.5Cu-0.3Mg-0.05Ti(wt.%)alloy solidified under a high cooling rate(18℃·s-1),in as-cast and T6 heat-treated conditions were studied. The as-cast structure of the alloy consists of equiaxed grains ofα-Al with an average size of 64μm which is unaffected by the Zr additions, indicating the ineffectiveness of Zr in the grain refinement of the alloy.Scanning electron microscopy, along with X-ray diffraction analysis revealed the presence of elongatedθ-Al2Cu at the grain boundaries;in addition, coarse Al3Zr particles exist in the intergranular regions of the 0.5wt.%Zr-containing alloy. After the T6 heat treatment, the elongatedθparticles were fragmented;however, the coarse Al3Zr particles remained unchanged in the microstructure. Also, the formation of fineβ’-Al3Zr andθ’’-Al3Cu/θ’-Al2Cu phases during T6 heat treatment was revealed by transmission electron microscopy. The results of the tensile tests showed that the Zr additions increase the strength of the alloy in both as-cast and T6 heat-treated conditions, but reduce its elongation, especially with 0.5wt.%Zr addition. The 0.3wt.%Zr-added alloy in the T6 heat-treated condition has the highest quality index value(249 MPa).Fractography of the fracture surfaces of the alloys revealed ductile fracture mode including dimples and cracked intermetallic phases in both conditions.  相似文献

The effects of heat treatment on microstructures and hardening response of Mg–6Zn–0.5Er–0.5Ca(wt%) alloy were investigated by optical microscope(OM), scanning electron microscope(SEM), and transmission electron microscope(TEM) in this paper. The results show that the Mg–6Zn–0.5Er–0.5Ca alloy contains Mg_3Zn_6Er_1 quasicrystalline phase(Iphase) and Ca_2Mg_6Zn_3 phase under as-cast condition. Most of the Ca_2Mg_6Zn_3 phases and I-phases dissolve into matrix during heat treatment at 475 ℃ for 5 h. After the as-solution alloy was aged at 175 ℃ for 36 h, a large amount of MgZn_2 precipitate with several nanometers precipitate. It is suggested that the trace addition of Ca results in refining the size of the precipitate, and the presence of the nanoscale MgZn_2 phase is the main factor to improve the peak-aged hardness greatly to 87 HV, which increases about 40 % compared with that of as-cast alloy.  相似文献

Granular precipitate that was a new kind of β-Mg17Al12 phase found in aged AZ80 wrought Mg alloy at all aging temperature was studied. The structure and precipitation behavior of this granular β-Mg17Al12 precipitate were studied by environmental scanning electron microscopy (ESEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The effect of the granular precipitate on mechanical properties of AZ80 alloy was also studied. The new precipitate that was granular and nucleated both on grain boundaries (GBs) and twin boundaries, has the same crystal structure and lattice parameter as those of the continuous or discontinuous precipitated fl-Mgl7All2. And the nucleation and growth of the granular precipitate are faster than those of the other two precipitates at higher temperatures (above 583 K), but are suppressed at lower temperatures (below 423 K). At lower temperatures, the discontinuous β-Mg17Al12 precipitates firstly and the granular β-Mg17Al12 precipitates after aged more than 40 h. The crack is easily nucleated on the phase boundaries of granular phase and matrix because of the weak binding force. As a result, the strength and ductility ofAZ80 Mg alloy are decreased by the granular β-Mg1TAl12 precipitate.  相似文献

The precipitation behavior of M2N and the microstructural evolution in a Cr-Mn austenitic stainless steel with a high nitrogen content of 0.43mass% during isothermal aging has been investigated using optical microscopy ( OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The aging treatments have led to the decomposition of nitrogen supersaturated austenitic matrix through discontinuous cellular precipitation. The precipitated cells comprise alternate lamellae of M2N precipitate and austenitic matrix. This kind of precipitate morphology is similar to that of pearlite. However, owing to the non-eutectoidic mechanism of the reaction, the growth characteristic of the cellular precipitates is different from that of pearlite in Fe-C binary alloys. M2N precipitate in the cell possesses a hexagonal crystal structure with the parameters a = 0.4752nm and c = 0.4429nm, and the orientation relationship between the M2V precipitates and austenite determined from the SADP is [01^-10]M2N//[101]γ, [2^-1^-10]M2N//[010]γ.  相似文献

In this work, a quaternary Ni–Cu–Nb–Ta system has been designed to obtain composite microstructure with spherical crystalline Cu-rich particles embedded in amorphous Ni-rich matrix. The alloy samples were prepared by using singleroller melting-spinning method. The microstructure and thermal properties of the as-quenched alloy samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and differential scanning calorimetry. It shows that the spherical crystalline Cu-rich particles are embedded in the amorphous Ni-rich matrix. The average size of the Cu-rich particles is strongly dependent upon the Cu content. The effect of the alloy composition on the behavior of liquid–liquid phase separation and microstructure evolution was discussed. The phase formation in the Ni-based metallic glass matrix composite was analyzed.  相似文献

Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) observations were carried out for examining the precipitation behavior in a Cu-Sn-Ni-Zn-P lead frame material. TEM observations revealed that the precipitate is hexagonal Ni5P2 and the orientation relationship between the Cu matrix and Ni$Pi precipitate is (111)fcc//(0001)hcp, [101]fcc//[1120]hcp, where the suffix fcc denotes the Cu matrix and hep denotes the hexagonal Ni5P2 precipitate. The Ni5P2 precipitate is ovoidal in shape at the beginning of aging at lower temperature. By prolonging the aging time or increasing the aging temperature, Ni5P2 precipitate grows and shows a rod-like shape. The Ni added Cu based lead frame material has a comparative mechanical properties with that of TAMAC15 which has been developed and used in electrical industry.  相似文献
