针对各向同性热解石墨切削过程中刀具磨损过快的问题,采用聚晶金刚石(PCD)刀具进行了切削加工试验。研究了切削过程中PCD刀具的磨损形式、磨损规律以及刀具磨损对表面加工质量的影响。试验结果表明:PCD刀具磨损主要发生在后刀面上,磨损形式为磨粒磨损和氧化磨损。磨损区域可以分为平行沟槽和严重磨损两种形貌。初始磨损阶段,磨损带长度急剧增大,并在切削1200m后进入正常磨损阶段。切削过程中还出现了石墨切屑在磨损区域的黏附堆积和刀具崩刃现象。切削初期,随着切削距离的增大,加工表面粗糙度值急剧增大,切削距离为600m时表面粗糙度达到最大值1.7μm。 相似文献

应用国产小型可转位刀片刃口钝化机2MQ6712D对PCD刀具进行钝化,验证了该方法对PCD刀具钝化的可行性。采用特殊工艺进行钝化,可以得到光滑均匀的倒圆形切削刃。采用单因素法探究了PCD刀具钝化的影响,研究了不同切削参数下钝化对表面粗糙度的影响。实验结果表明,使用钝化刀具加工1060铝合金形成的表面粗糙度比未钝化刀具低,提高了表面质量,随着进给量的增加钝化对刀具的影响越明显。在切削深度为20μm时钝化刀具所形成表面粗糙度比同等条件下其他切削深度所形成的表面粗糙度低。 相似文献

Electrical Discharge Grinding (EDG) is an advanced machining process that becomes popular in manufacturing of Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tools. This research investigated the effects of wheel rotation as well as debris flow direction on the quality of PCD tools based on a series of EDG experiments. Experimental results showed the debris that flowed toward the cutting edge could significantly affect the edge sharpness and symmetry of the tool, which were critical for the smaller edge apex angle. Evidence of spark concentration caused by the debris accumulation phenomenon were found through microscopic analysis on the eroded surfaces. This research also revealed the unexplained phenomenon associated with the undercut that normally formed beneath the PCD cutting edge after erosion. By examining PCD samples using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy, the formation of the heat-affected layer caused by the high-temperature erosion process in the EDG was analyzed. Results also proved that the surface finish of tungsten carbide (WC) and notch width of the PCD tools, particularly on the tungsten carbide WC/PCD interface, should not be taken as the index to measure PCD tool quality. 相似文献

通过SiCp/2024铝复合材料的车削试验,阐述了刀具材料、切削用量(v0、f、αp)及颗粒增强相SiCp含量、粒度等因素对切削力的影响规律,发现了当增强相体积分数V1约为17%~18%以上时,用K类硬质合金刀具切削会出现切深分力Fp、进给分力F1大于主切削力Fe的现象,且SiCp含量越高差值越大,并提出用切削力系数K表述这一现象。认为K类硬磕合金可用于粗加工、半精加工,且加工表面会出现“熨平”现象。从切削力这一因素来看,PCD是精加工颗粒增强铝复合材料的最佳刀具材料。 相似文献

用三种不同晶粒尺寸的自制PCD刀具,在三种切削速度下进行了花岗岩的湿式连续切削试验。对刀具前、后刀面的显微形貌特征进行了观测,分析了刀具失效机理,比较了不同晶粒尺寸及不同切削条件下刀具的切削寿命。对刀具后刀面磨损的测量结果表明,在三种切削速度下,粗颗粒PCD刀具显示出更长的刀具寿命;随着切削速度的增加,三种刀具的寿命都有所下降。SEM二次电子图像显示,PCD010和PCD005刀具的磨损机制为硬质点的机械磨损,而晶粒较粗的PCD030刀具的主要磨损机制为机械磨损,同时伴有穿晶磨损。 相似文献

Tool performance of conventional tools is poor and a major constraint when used in milling titanium alloys at elevated cutting speeds. At these high cutting speeds, the chemical and mechanical properties of Ti6Al4V cause complex wear mechanisms. In this paper, a fine-grain polycrystalline diamond (PCD) end mill tool was tested, and its wear behavior was studied. The performance of the PCD tool has been investigated in terms of tool life, cutting forces, and surface roughness. The PCD tool yielded longer tool life than a coated carbide tool at cutting speeds above 100?m/min. A slower wear progression was found with an increase in cutting speeds, whereas the norm is an exponential increase in tool wear at elevated speeds. Observations based on scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDAX) analysis suggest that adhesion of the workpiece is the wear main type, after which degradation of the tools accelerates probable due to the combined effect of high temperature degradation coupled with abrasion. 相似文献
