This paper outlines the scope and importance of model-based measurement in physiology and clinical medicine. The nature of model-based measurement is discussed, describing the basic methods for modelling and the criteria to be adopted when choosing models for use in clinical measurement. Having reviewed the underlying principles and approaches, the authors present two case studies. The first illustrates the potential role of model-based measurement in on-line instrumentation schemes for controlling the level of blood glucose in the diabetic patient. In contrast, the second case study illustrates the role of model-based measurement, implemented in an off-line computer scheme, in the management of patients suffering from a form of thyroid disease. 相似文献

Control of MEMS vibratory gyros and angular rate estimation form the challenging problem which is the focus of this paper. To this end, the model-based and non-model-based sliding model control (SMC) approaches are presented, and a chattering elimination method called regulated SMC (RSMC) is invoked to improve tracking control of the drive and sense modes of the uncertain vibratory gyroscope. The force-balancing method is employed to estimate the unknown rotation rate and quadrature error term using two desired trajectories for conventional mode with the same amplitude and different frequencies. Finally, effectiveness of the regulated model-based and non-model-based SMC scheme even in the presence of significant uncertainties is demonstrated through simulations. 相似文献

Lightweight design of production machines results in a problematically high inclination of vibration. Existing control techniques can avoid those vibrations based on the knowledge of the instantaneous system behavior, which is highly nonlinear and dependent on the machine’s pose. One possibility is to calculate the machine behavior using a model of the machine on the control device. By this, additional and expensive sensors in the machine structure are avoided but it requires a fast and efficient algorithm of model-based system behavior identification calculated online on the control device. In this paper, we describe a new approach for model-based system behavior calculation on the control device for the vibration reduction. Emphasizes lies on the integration of the method into the engineering process, which is shown in the fact that standard models out of the engineering process are used. 在工业生产过程中,为了有效监控各种有害气体的浓度,设计了一种以DSP芯片为核心的气体报警控制器。该控制系统由工控机、DCS、气体报警控制电路、触摸屏显示、联动装置和探测器组成,具有以太网、CAN、485通信接口,采用了本安电路的设计思想,实现了有害气体浓度超限报警并给出控制信号的功能。运行结果表明,该系统性能稳定,抗干扰能力强,可以推广使用。 相似文献

传统涡轮流量计需要铺设电源线和信号传输电缆,使用起来极不方便。而现有的无线通信方式繁多,特点不一,为了实现计量点分散情况下流量计的远程实时报警、监测流量等功能,对主要无线通信方式进行了简要分析。给出了以ARM单片机为核心处理器,集成无线通信模块的流量计设计方案,并对涡轮流量计的软硬件进行了具体设计。该方案能够实现流量测量、数据存储、流量显示、远程实时报警、远程监控等功能。 相似文献

The elements of scheduling, a decision methodology which is appropriate whenever competing activities must be assigned resources over time so as to achieve desired performance objectives, are outlined. The key difficulty of such problems, namely their characteristically high combinatorial complexity, is reviewed and the range of approximate as well as exact methodologies which have been advanced for their solution are highlighted. Batch process scheduling problems are shown to be highly structured and resource constrained and thus not readily amenable to the full range of generic solution approaches. Model-based optimization approaches, validation using detailed simulation models, are proposed as the most appropriate decision support technologies for this domain. The optimization models use simplified product recipes, time discretization constructions, linear material and other resource balance constraints, and application specific economic objective functions. The core solution methodology consists of mixed integer and linear programming methods, specialized to exploit model structure. The role of combined continuous-discrete simulation models is to allow adjustment of the scheduling information obtained from deterministic, linear models to account for the detailed recipes, fine grained representation of time, nonlinear state dependent effects, and stochastic operational and order information, which are characteristic of plant operations. It is proposed that the model-based optimization and simulation approaches are inherently complementary and offer the best prospects for the routine creation and validation of robust and economical operational schedules for the batch environment. Work in progress to integrate these methodologies is noted and some open issues discussed. 相似文献

This paper deals with the important question of structural safety after extreme loadings like an earthquake. The structure investigated here is the so-called ‘Steelquake’ benchmark structure, a two-storey building which was subjected by an artificial seismic loading causing cracks at three locations. The aim of the method is the identification of multiple damage. It is based on the changes of the measured eigenfrequencies and normal modes before and after the pseudo-seismic event. The measured changes of the modal quantities and the physical structural changes are linked together by means of a computational model. This leads to an inverse problem. Four different model-based approaches are discussed and applied to the benchmark structure. The ability of these approaches to find the damage is investigated and it is shown that all three cracks could be identified. 相似文献
