Power to gas is an attractive option for storing excess energy from fluctuating renewable energy sources. In recent years, the concept has gained great interest. An essential part of the process chain of power to gas is the methanation of CO2. Within this work the catalytic methanation of pure CO2 and of biogas is modeled in a three‐dimensional polytropic pseudo‐homogeneous flow tube and numerically simulated at different loads. The results represent axial and radial quantitative information about the reaction behavior under the different boundary conditions. 相似文献

Recycling of milled product particles in continuous fluidised bed spray granulation can lead to sustained oscillations in the particle size distribution. In this contribution, a model‐predictive feedback control scheme is presented that allows for stabilisation of unstable steady‐states. The feedback law is designed based on a population balance model, which describes the temporal evolution of the particle size distribution due to the particulate processes, and is compared with traditional design methods (PI, LQR). 相似文献

The design of industrial gas/liquid reactors such as bubble columns requires detailed information with respect to the flow structure and characteristics of two‐ or multiphase systems in the reactor. The contribution is focused on the evaluation of the simulation results obtained by a selection of models. The results are further compared with those reported in literature. The simulations have been performed with the CFD software OpenFOAM®. Sound‐absorbing mats consisting of cross‐linked Polyurethane (PUR) foam and metal reinforcements, door panels and centre consoles for the interior of vehicles became important products for automotive component suppliers. The leading technology for the production of foam on the base of PUR with noise absorbing properties is the application of powder insertion (e.g. metal) in the PUR spray. The numerical simulation (CFD) of the spray including the particle‐droplet interaction is presented. The theoretical background of the implemented models is explained and the experimental results achieved with a pilot plant are compared with the numerical results. The recycling of homogeneous metathesis catalysts is a big challenge in alkene metathesis. Within this contribution the recycling of these catalysts is investigated in the cross metathesis of methyl oleate and 4‐octene as model reaction. Fluid‐fluid separation technique and temperature dependent solvent systems allow the separation of the homogeneously solved catalysts from the metathesis products. The catalyst phase was successfully recycled in multiple recycling runs only with minor loss of yield. 相似文献
