CoMP的两种传输模式CoMP-JP与CoMP-CB在对回程容量需求以及提升系统性能方面具有不同的优势.针对回程容量紧缺问题,在传统以用户群为优化对象的模式选择基础上,提出了一种混合CoMP模式选择算法.该算法针对用户个体选择最佳传输模式,充分利用回程容量的同时最大化系统吞吐量.仿真结果表明,所提出的模式选择算法能有效提升系统性能,并且随着用户数的增加,其性能增益会更高.  相似文献

The general trend in the backhaul link technology arena is the increasing use of high-speed microwave solutions. The ever-rising demand for high capacities at low cost has recently enhanced the interest in wireless backhaul networks. Evaluating the connectivity of the wireless multi-hop backhaul networks is a significant task. Taking into account the high frequency of operation, a novel analytical and engineering propagation model is presented for the calculation of connectivity. Furthermore, the minimum required node density in order to keep the network connected is also calculated. The sensitivity of network connectivity on frequency operation, transmission power, and climatic conditions is also investigated. Finally, the error performance of the backhaul network links is finally presented, and some very useful conclusions are drawn.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate error free performance of a simple ring-based Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) architecture that supports truly shared LAN capability among users as well as a fully distributed dynamic bandwidth allocation DBA scheme. The proposed distributed architecture can also be utilized as a packet-based mobile backhaul transport network to backhaul emerging mobile services across the PON-based fiber infrastructure. The digital audio broadcasting (DAB) system which was originally designed for high quality audio transmission to mobile receivers is investigated for transmission of compressed digital video and multimedia signals. The bit error performance is considered using various levels of error protection provided by the DAB system. As a result, a net bit rate of about 1.5 Mbit/s can be achieved. With additional error correction coding, a bit error ratio (BER) of less than 10-10 can be realized. This is the requirement for compressed video signals. The SNR per bit is below 16 dB. Studies of digital transmission over typical urban and suburban mobile channels using simulations that employ a local area model for the time varying mobile channel impulse response are discussed. The digital transmission techniques of coherently detected and differentially coherent detected versions of quadrature phase-shift keying (QPSK), Gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK), and coherently detected binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) over example mobile channels are presented. Two measures of performance are considered; the mean bit error ratio (and irreducible bit error ratio), which is used to compare the robustness of the various modulation methods to delay spread, and the outage probability, which provides a measure of the overall transmission quality as would be perceived by a user. Emphasis is placed on results obtained for GMSK, which is the modulation scheme to be employed in the Pan-European digital cellular mobile system. The effects of RMS delay spread on the mean bit error ratio, mean irreducible bit error ratio, and probability of outage are considered for different channel types  相似文献

Heterogeneous networks (HetNets) have the potential to cater for the capacity requirements of mobile broadband services at reduced cost and energy consumption levels. One key aspect in HetNets is the role of the backhaul. More specifically, it is crucial for a mobile operator to understand the impact of specific technological and architectural upgrades in the mobile backhaul network on the capital and operational expenditure (i.e., CAPEX and OPEX). This paper proposes a comprehensive methodology that can be used to analyze the total cost of ownership of a number of backhaul options based on fiber, microwave, and copper technologies. The study considers both a Greenfield and a Brownfield scenario and takes into account the mobile broadband capacity requirements for the time period between years 2015 and 2025. From the results presented in the paper it can be concluded that even though microwave and fiber will be predominately used in the future, the possible migration paths leading to such fiber- and microwave-based backhaul scenarios might be different, depending upon factors such as spectrum and license costs, time to deployment, availability of equipment, and required quality of service levels.  相似文献

Turbo-codes which are applicable to speech transmission in digital mobile radio systems are treated. Three turbo-codes of different complexity are presented. Hybrid beamforming (HBF) technology becomes one of the key technologies in the millimeter wave (mmWave) mobile backhaul systems, for its lower complexity and low power consumption compared to full digital beamforming (DBF). Two structures of HBF exist in the mmWave mobile backhaul system, namely, the fully connected structures (FCS) and partially connected structures (PCS). However, the existing methods cannot be applied to both structures. Moreover, the ideal phase shifter is considered in some current HBF methods, which is not realistic. In this paper, a HBF algorithm for both structures based on the discrete phase shifters is proposed in the mmWave mobile backhaul systems. By using the principle of alternating minimization, the optimization problem of HBF is decomposed into a DBF optimization problem and an analog beamforming (ABF) optimization problem. Then the least square (LS) method is enabled to solve the optimization model of DBF. In addition, the achievable data rate for both structures with closed-form expression which can be used to convert the optimization model into a single-stream beamforming optimization model with per antenna power constraint is derived. Therefore, the ABF is easily solved. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed HBF method can approach the full DBF by using a lower resolution phase shifter.  相似文献

Mobile satellite communication channels are characterized by long transmission delays, variation of these delays, high bit‐error‐rates, shadowing and the multipath effect which severely reduce the quality of video services. Error control techniques including feedback mechanisms, error concealment methods, forward error correction techniques and error resilience schemes are examined in this paper for achieving a high‐integrity video transmission over a mobile satellite channel. The application of three different error resilience algorithms, namely Turbo codes, error‐resilient entropy codes and two‐way decoding using reversible codes is presented. Their joint performance is also examined. Furthermore, a low‐delay and low‐complexity video transcoding algorithm which fully interconnects two very low bit rate video communication standards: MPEG‐4 and H.263 is also elaborated. This transcoder works as a gateway tool which links two heterogeneous multimedia networks, such as a mobile satellite network and a land‐based network, with negligible processing delay and complexity.
