The static characteristics of platinum resistance thermometers with different platinum purities were measured. It is shown
that in the 0–420°C range the ITS-90 method gives an error of less than 0.01°C, while in the 0–230°C range the error is less
than 0.006°C.

Proposals for a new Russian standard on the procedure for checking working resistance thermometers, connected with changes
in the international standards, in particular, in the last edition of the IEC 60751 standard, are considered. The need for
a transition when checking from an estimate of the error to an estimate of the uncertainties is demonstrated.

We describe how a simple two-point calibration of a platinum resistance thermometer can be used to deduce the resistance-temperature relationship in the range 4.2 K ? T ? 273 K. This relationship is established by comparing the unknown thermometer to two carefully calibrated platinum resistance thermometers. This technique produces an accuracy of (0.1 – 0.3) K. This accuracy should be adequate for many engineering applications. 相似文献

The systematic difference between the Callendar—Van Dusen function and the ITS-90 polynomial for working platinum resistance thermometers with different values of W(100) is analyzed and it is shown that this difference is not related to the purity of the platinum over a wide range of values of W(100), and depends considerably on the temperature range. A method of calculating the standard relations for platinum resistance thermometers is proposed based on a quadratic approximation of the ITS-90 function, and a method of constructing individual functions for platinum resistance thermometers in the 0–230°C range using a single calibrated point in addition to 0°C is described.Translated from Izmeritelnaya Tekhnika, No. 11, pp. 39–43, November, 2004.This is the last of the series of papers (of which the first was published in Izmeritelnaya Tekhnika No. 9, 2004), prepared from the proceedings of the Second All-Russia Conference on Problems of Thermometry Temperatura-2004, held in Obninsk in March 2004. 相似文献

Contributions to the thermal impedance of thick-film resistors (TFRs) are discussed. Measurements of the heat flow along the resistance layer, through the substrate and through the glass overcoating, are presented for commercial resistors mounted on a copper plate in the 30–170 mK temperature range. Because of the relatively good thermal conductivity of the film material (three orders of magnitude higher than that of alumina), the contribution to the heat flow of the resistance layer is never negligible in spite of the thinness of the latter. Suggestions are given for the best mounting of the TFRs as low-temperature thermometers. Less conventional uses of TFRs as thermometers in bolometers are also considered. 相似文献

A fixed point based on Ga-In eutectic alloy with a phase transition temperature of 288.798 K (15.648°C) is proposed and studied.
This temperature makes it possible to accomplish a phase transition without the use of external thermostat devices.

1. | Single relationships linking the minimum level of static crack resistance KIc with the conditional yield point and reduced test temperature Ttest-Td 50 are constructed on the basis of experimental results of the testing of steels of different strength and structural state. |
2. | The curves obtained make it possible to propose a simple method for calculating the minimum guaranteed level of static crack resistance KIc of structural steel on the basis of standard mechanical characteristics of strength (0.2) and cold resistance (Td 50), which can be used in selecting and working steels and also in optimizing regimes for their smelting and heat treatment. |
3. | The proposed method, which is used to calculate temperature dependencies of the static crack resistance of steels cast from experimental melts, has made it possible to select the optimal composition of a cold-resistant cast steel for the undercarriage of heavyduty quarry excavators. |

We report on the reliability of three carbon glass thermometers used in the temperature range 4.2 K – 50 K under high magnetic field conditions. In two of the three sensors we observed a serious lack of reproducibility (1.5 K at 25 K). These results indicate that in experiments requiring precise temperature measurements in the range 20 – 30 K, it is necessary to perform regular calibrations of carbon glass thermometers versus secondary standards such as platinum or germanium resistors. 相似文献
