Hierarchical layered hydrous lithium titanate and Li4Ti5O12 microspheres assembled by nanosheets have been successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal process and subsequent thermal treatment. The electrochemical properties of the two samples have been investigated by galvanostatic methods. The former, with the obvious layered structure and a large surface area, delivers a reversible capacity of 180 mA h g−1 after 200 cycles at 200 mA g−1. As for Li4Ti5O12, with the intriguing and unique sawtooth-like morphology, it presents exceptional high rate performance and excellent cycling stability. Up to 132 mA h g−1 is obtained after 200 cycles at 10,000 mA g−1 (57 C), proving itself promising for high-rate applications.  相似文献

A novel three-dimensional (3D) porous structured Co3O4 was prepared by electrodeposition combined with thermal-treatment method. The electrochemical properties of as-prepared 3D porous Co3O4 were closely related to its morphology and structure which can be modified by various thermal-treatment temperatures. The 3D porous Co3O4 prepared at 300 °C exhibited smaller crystallite size and higher capacity compared to 400 °C as well as 500 °C. As used in lithium-ion batteries, the porous Co3O4 anodes delivered a high reversible capacity of about 1100 mAh g−1 with no obvious capacity fading up to 50 cycles and exhibited higher rate capability compared with Co3O4 foil anodes. The enhanced electrochemical performances of 3D porous Co3O4 anodes are attributed to its unique 3D porous structure which can offer a large materials/electrolyte contact area and accommodate the strain induced by the volume change during cycling.  相似文献

Li4Ti5O12/carbon nano-tubes (CNTs) composite was prepared by sol-gel method while Ti(OC4H9)4, LiCH3COO·2H2O and the n-heptane containing CNTs were used as raw materials. The characters of Li4Ti5O12/CNTs composite were determined by XRD, SEM, and TG methods. Its electrochemical properties were measured by charge-discharge cycling and impedance tests. It was found that the prepared Li4Ti5O12/CNTs presented an excellent rate capability and capacity retention. At the charge-discharge rate of 5C and 10C, its discharge capacities were 145 and 135 mAh g−1, respectively. After 500 cycles at 5C, the discharge capacity retained as 142 mAh g−1. It even could be cycled at the rate of 20C. The excellent electrochemical performance of Li4Ti5O12/CNTs electrode could be attributed to the improvement of electronic conductivity by adding conducting CNTs and the nano-size of Li4Ti5O12 particles in the Li4Ti5O12/CNTs composite.  相似文献

Cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanotubes have been successfully synthesized by chemically depositing cobalt hydroxide in anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates and thermally annealing at 500 °C. The synthesized nanotubes have been characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrochemical capacitance behavior of the Co3O4 nanotubes electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge-discharge studies and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in 6 mol L−1 KOH solution. The electrochemical data demonstrate that the Co3O4 nanotubes display good capacitive behavior with a specific capacitance of 574 F g−1 at a current density of 0.1 A g−1 and a good specific capacitance retention of ca. 95% after 1000 continuous charge-discharge cycles, indicating that the Co3O4 nanotubes can be promising electroactive materials for supercapacitor.  相似文献

In order to get homogeneous layered oxide Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 as a lithium insertion positive electrode material, we applied the metal acetates decomposition method. The oxide compounds were calcined at various temperatures, which results in greater difference in morphological (shape, particle size and specific surface area) and the electrochemical (first charge profile, reversible capacity and rate capability) differences. The Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 powders were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), charge/discharge cycling, cyclic voltammetry and SEM. XRD experiment revealed that the layered Li[Ni1/3Mn1/3Co1/3]O2 material can be best synthesized at temperature of 800 °C. In that synthesized temperature, the sample showed high discharge capacity of 190 mAh g−1 as well as stable cycling performance at a current density of 0.2 mA cm−2 in the voltage range 2.3-4.6 V. The reversible capacity after 100 cycles is more than 190 mAh g−1 at room temperature.  相似文献

A simple approach to synthesize Co3O4 in mass production by using hexamethylenetetramine (HMT, C6H12N4) as a precipitator via hydrothermal treatment has been developed. The samples were calcinated at different temperatures ranging from 300 to 600 °C and characterized by XRD and SEM. The structure became agglomerative and collapsed with an increase in calcination temperature. Evaluation of the electrochemical performance in combination with SEM and BET analysis suggests that there is an optimum calcination temperature for Co3O4. It is found that the retention capacity of well crystallized Co3O4 hollow microspheres has a higher specific surface area at 300 °C and is almost above 94% after the 5th cycle at different current densities of 40 and 60 mA g−1, which shows good long-life stability and favorable electrochemical behaviors. Using EIS analysis, we demonstrated that lithium-ion conduction inside the SEI layers and charge transfer at the electrode/electrolyte interface became hindered with an increased calcination temperature, which was in good agreement with the electrochemical behaviors of three Co3O4 electrodes. It is proposed that drastic capacity fading and the variation of resistive components (SEI layers and charge transfer) can be influenced by morphologies due to the calcination temperature.  相似文献

Monoclinic Li3V2(PO4)3 can be rapidly synthesized at 750 °C for 5 min (MW5m) by using microwave solid-state synthesis method. The refined cell parameters and atomic coordination of the sample MW5m show some deviations compared with those of the sample synthesized in conventional solid-state synthesis method, especially the coordinate of Li atoms. Compared with the electrochemical properties of the carbon-coating sample Li3V2(PO4)3, the carbon-free sample MW5m presents well electrochemical properties. In the cut-off voltage of 3.0-4.3 V, MW5m sample presents a specific charge capacity of 132 mAh g−1, almost equivalent to the reversible cycling of two lithium ions per Li3V2(PO4)3 formula unit (133 mAh g−1), and specific discharge capacity of 126.4 mAh g−1. In the cut-off voltage of 3.0-4.8 V, MW5m shows an initial specific discharge capacity of 183.4 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C, near the theoretical discharge capacity. In the cycle performance, the capacity fade of Li3V2(PO4)3 is dependent on the cut-off voltage and the preparation method, more capacity lost at relatively higher charge/discharge voltage. The reasons for the excellent electrochemical properties of Li3V2(PO4)3 rapidly synthesized in microwave field are discussed in detail.  相似文献

To investigate the crystal structure and electrochemical performance of samples synthesized under different microwave solid-state synthesis condition, a series of Li3V2(PO4)3 samples has been synthesized at five different temperatures for 3-5 min and at 750 °C for various time. The as-synthesized Li3V2(PO4)3 samples are characterized and studied by ICP-AES analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Rietveld analysis, scanning and transmission electron microcopy (SEM and TEM). At relatively lower temperature (650 °C) and very short reaction time (3 min), pure phase of Li3V2(PO4)3 could be synthesized in microwave irradiation field. The crystal structure and Li atomic fractional coordinate present a significant deviation upon the change of microwave irradiation temperature and time. Relatively, the diffusion ability of lithium cations and the electrochemical performance are affected. Under the proper reaction temperature and time, the carbon-free samples MW750C5m and MW850C3m show the best specific discharge capacity 126.4 and 132 mAh g−1 at the voltage range of 3.0-4.3 V, near the reversible cycling of two lithium ions per Li3V2(PO4)3 formula unit (133 mAh g−1). At the voltage range of 3-4.8 V, the sample MW750C5m presents the best initial specific charge capacity of 197 mAh g−1, equivalent to the reversible cycling of three lithium ions per Li3V2(PO4)3 formula unit (197 mAh g−1). The initial discharge capacity, the samples MW750C5m and MW850C3m present high specific discharge capacity 183.4 and 175.7 mAh g−1, respectively. The relationship among microwave irradiation condition, crystal structure, lithium atomic fractional coordinates and the electrochemical performance have been discussed in detail.  相似文献

Three dimensionally ordered macroporous (3DOM) Li4Ti5O12 membrane (80 μm thick) was prepared by a colloidal crystal templating process. Colloidal crystal consisting of monodisperse polystyrene particles (1 μm diameter) was used as the template for the preparation of macroporous Li4Ti5O12. A precursor sol consisting of titanium isopropoxide and lithium acetate was impregnated into the void space of template, and it was calcined at various temperatures. A macroporous membrane of Li4Ti5O12 with inverse-opal structure was successfully prepared at 800 °C. The interconnected pores with uniform size (0.8 μm) were clearly observed on the entire part of membrane. The electrochemical properties of the three dimensionally ordered Li4Ti5O12 were characterized with cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge and discharge in an organic electrolyte containing a lithium salt. The 3DOM Li4Ti5O12 exhibited a discharge capacity of 160 mA h g−1 at the electrode potential of 1.55 V versus Li/Li+ due to the solid state redox of Ti3+/4+ accompanying with Li+ ion insertion and extraction. The discharge capacity was close to the theoretical capacity (167 mA h g−1), which suggested that the Li+ ion insertion and extraction took place at the entire part of 3DOM Li4Ti5O12 membrane. The 3DOM Li4Ti5O12 electrode showed good cycle stability.  相似文献

Graphene nanosheet (GNS)/Co3O4 composite has been rapidly synthesized by microwave-assisted method. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy observation reveals the homogeneous distribution of Co3O4 nanoparticles (3-5 nm in size) on graphene sheets. Electrochemical properties are characterized by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. A maximum specific capacitance of 243.2 F g−1 has been obtained at a scan rate of 10 mV s−1 in 6 M KOH aqueous solution for GNS/Co3O4 composite. Furthermore, the composite exhibits excellent long cycle life along with ∼95.6% specific capacitance retained after 2000 cycle tests.  相似文献

An improved solid-state coordination method namely wet coordination has been developed to synthesize carbon-coated monoclinic Li3V2(PO4)3 rapidly at a low temperature of 600 °C in 1 h. The structure of the sample was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and energy dispersive analysis of X-rays (EDAX). The diffusion coefficient of the lithium ions was measured by cyclic voltammetry (CV). The electrochemical behavior of the sample exhibits a high initial discharge capacity of 130 mAh g−1, which is very close to its theoretical capacity of 132 mAh g−1 under 95 mA g−1 (0.67 C) in the range of 3.3-4.3 V (vs. Li/Li+). These results suggest that wet coordination is a promising method for large-scale production of carbon-coated Li3V2(PO4)3.  相似文献

Electrochemical and thermal properties of Co3(PO4)2- and AlPO4-coated LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode materials were compared. AlPO4-coated LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathodes exhibited an original specific capacity of 170.8 mAh g−1 and had a capacity retention (89.1% of its initial capacity) between 4.35 and 3.0 V after 60 cycles at 150 mA g−1. Co3(PO4)2-coated LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathodes exhibited an original specific capacity of 177.6 mAh g−1 and excellent capacity retention (91.8% of its initial capacity), which was attributed to a lithium-reactive Co3(PO4)2 coating. The Co3(PO4)2 coating material could react with LiOH and Li2CO3 impurities during annealing to form an olivine LixCoPO4 phase on the bulk surface, which minimized any side reactions with electrolytes and the dissolution of Ni4+ ions compared to the AlPO4-coated cathode. Differential scanning calorimetry results showed Co3(PO4)2-coated LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 cathode material had a much improved onset temperature of the oxygen evolution of about 218 °C, and a much lower amount of exothermic-heat release compared to the AlPO4-coated sample.  相似文献

Layered LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 materials were synthesized at different sintering temperatures using spray-drying precursor with molar ratio of Li/Me = 1.04 (Me = transition metals). The influences of sintering temperature on crystal structure, morphology and electrochemical performance of LiNi0.6Co0.2Mn0.2O2 materials have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and charge-discharge test. As a result, material synthesized at 850 °C has excellent electrochemical performance, delivering an initial discharge capacity of 173.1 mAh g− 1 between 2.8 and 4.3 V at a current density of 16 mA g− 1 and exhibiting good cycling performance.  相似文献

Synthesis, electrochemical, and structural properties of LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2 cathodes prepared by TiO2 nanoparticles coating on a Ni0.8Co0.15Al0.05(OH)2 precursor have been investigated by the variation of coating concentration and annealing temperature. TiO2-coated cathodes showed that Ti elements were distributed throughout the particles. Among the coated cathodes, the 0.6 wt% TiO2-coated cathode prepared by annealing at 750 °C for 20 h exhibited the highest reversible capacity of 176 mAh g−1 and capacity retention of 92% after 40 cycles at a rate of 1C (=190 mA g−1). On the other hand, an uncoated cathode showed a reversible first discharge capacity of 186 mAh g−1 and the same capacity retention value to the TiO2-coated sample at a 1C rate. However, under a 1C rate cycling at 60 °C for 30 cycles, the uncoated sample showed a reversible capacity of 40 mAh g−1, while a TiO2-coated one showed 71 mAh g−1. This significant improvement of the coated sample was due to the formation of a possible solid solution between TiO2 and LiNi0.8Co0.15Al0.05O2. This effect was more evident upon annealing the charged sample while increasing the annealing temperature, and at 400 °C, the coated one showed a more suppressed formation of the NiO phase from the spinel LiNi2O4 phase than the uncoated sample.  相似文献

Non-spherical Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 powders have been synthesized using a two-step drying method with 5% excess LiOH at 800 °C for 20 h. The tap-density of the powder obtained is 2.95 g cm−3. This value is remarkably higher than that of the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 powders obtained by other methods, which range from 1.50 g cm−3 to 2.40 g cm−3. The precursor and Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 are characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). XPS studies show that the predominant oxidation states of Ni, Co and Mn in the precursor are 2+, 3+ and 4+, respectively. XRD results show that the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 material obtained by the two-step drying method has a well-layered structure with a small amount of cation mixing. SEM confirms that the Li(Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3)O2 particles obtained by this method are uniform. The initial discharge capacity of 167 mAh g−1 is obtained between 3 V and 4.3 V at a current of 0.2 C rate. The capacity of 159 mAh g−1 is retained at the end of 30 charge-discharge cycle with a capacity retention of 95%.  相似文献

Carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material was prepared by a poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) assisted sol-gel method. PVA was used both as the gelating agent and the carbon source. XRD analysis showed that the material was well crystallized. The particle size of the material was ranged between 200 and 500 nm. HRTEM revealed that the material was covered by a uniform surface carbon layer with a thickness of 80 Å. The existence of surface carbon layer was further confirmed by Raman scattering. The electrochemical properties of the material were investigated by charge-discharge cycling, CV and EIS techniques. The material showed good cycling performance, which had a reversible discharge capacity of 100 mAh g−1 when cycled at 1 C rate. The apparent Li+ diffusion coefficients of the material ranged between 9.5 × 10−10 and 0.9 × 10−10 cm2 s−1, which were larger than those of olivine LiFePO4. The large lithium diffusion coefficient of Li3V2(PO4)3 has been attributed to its special NASICON-type structure.  相似文献

Pure-phase and well-crystallized spinel LiAl0.05Mn1.95O4 powders were successfully synthesized by a simple ultrasonic assisted rheological phase (UARP) method. The structure and morphology properties of this as-prepared powder compared with the pristine LiMn2O4 and LiAl0.05Mn1.95O4 obtained from the solid-state reaction (SSR) method were investigated by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The electrochemical properties focused on the LiAl0.05Mn1.95O4 by this new method have also been investigated in detail. According to these tests results, it is obviously to see that the newly prepared sample delivers a relatively high initial discharge capacity of 111.6 mAh g−1, presents excellent rate capability and reversibility, and shows good cycling stability with capacity retention of 90.6% after 70 cycles. Meanwhile, the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) investigations were employed to study the electrochemical process of Li+ ions with the synthesized LiAl0.05Mn1.95O4 electrode in detail.  相似文献

Li4AlxTi5−xFyO12−y compounds were prepared by a solid-state reaction method. Phase analyses demonstrated that both Al3+ and F ions entered the structure of spinel-type Li4Ti5O12. Charge-discharge cycling results at a constant current density of 0.15 mA cm−2 between the cut-off voltages of 2.5 and 0.5 V showed that the Al3+ and F substitutions improved the first total discharge capacity of Li4Ti5O12. However, Al3+ substitution greatly increased the reversible capacity and cycling stability of Li4Ti5O12 while F substitution decreased its reversible capacity and cycling stability slightly. The electrochemical performance of the Al3+-F-co-substituted specimen was better than the F-substituted one but worse than the Al3+-substituted one.  相似文献

LiNi0.33−xMn0.33Co0.33YxO2 materials are synthesized by Y3+ substitute of Ni2+ to improve the cycling performance and rate capability. The influence of the Y3+ doping on the structure and electrochemical properties are investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests. LiNi0.33Mn0.33Co0.33O2 exhibits the capacity retentions of 89.9 and 87.8% at 2.0 and 4.0 C after 40 cycles, respectively. After doping, the capacity retentions of LiNi0.305Mn0.33Co0.33Y0.025O2 are increased to 97.2 and 95.9% at 2.0 and 4.0 C, respectively. The discharge capacity of LiNi0.305Mn0.33Co0.33Y0.025O2 at 5.0 C remains 75.7% of the discharge capacity at 0.2 C, while that of LiNi0.33Mn0.33Co0.33O2 is only 47.5%. EIS measurement indicates that LiNi0.305Mn0.33Co0.33Y0.025O2 electrode has the lower impedance value during cycling. It is considered that the higher capacity retention and superior rate capability of Y-doped samples can be ascribed to the reduced surface film resistance and charge transfer resistance of the electrode during cycling.  相似文献

A carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material for lithium ion batteries was synthesized by a sol-gel method using V2O5, H2O2, NH4H2PO4, LiOH and citric acid as starting materials, and its physicochemical properties were investigated using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive analysis of X-ray (EDAX), transmission electron microscope (TEM), and electrochemical methods. The sample prepared displays a monoclinic structure with a space group of P21/n, and its surface is covered with a rough and porous carbon layer. In the voltage range of 3.0-4.3 V, the Li3V2(PO4)3 electrode displays a large reversible capacity, good rate capability and excellent cyclic stability at both 25 and 55 °C. The largest reversible capacity of 130 mAh g−1 was obtained at 0.1C and 55 °C, nearly equivalent to the reversible cycling of two lithium ions per Li3V2(PO4)3 formula unit (133 mAh g−1). It was found that the increase in total carbon content can improve the discharge performance of the Li3V2(PO4)3 electrode. In the voltage range of 3.0-4.8 V, the extraction and reinsertion of the third lithium ion in the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 host are almost reversible, exhibiting a reversible capacity of 177 mAh g−1 and good cyclic performance. The reasons for the excellent electrochemical performance of the carbon coated Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material were also discussed.  相似文献
