A novel mixed-mode biquad circuit is presented. The circuit uses six single-output- and one dual-output-operational transconductance amplifiers, two grounded capacitors; and can realize lowpass, highpass, bandpass, notch, lowpass-notch, highpass-notch and allpass responses from the same topology. The circuit can be driven by voltage or current and its output can be voltage or current. The parameters ωo and ωo/Q o enjoy independent electronic tunability. This paper describes a new electronically tunable three inputs and single output voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter based on simple CMOS operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) and grounded capacitors. The proposed configuration provides lowpass, highpass, bandpass, bandstop and allpass voltage responses at a high impedance input terminal, which enable easy cascadability. Additionally, the circuit parameters ωoωo and Q   can be set orthogonally by adjusting the transconductances and grounded capacitors. The filter also offers an independent electronic control of parameters ωoωo by adjusting the transconductance through the bias current/voltage of the OTA. For realizing all the filter responses, no critical component matching condition is required, and all the incremental parameter sensitivities are low. PSPICE simulation results are performed to confirm the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

The circuit can be driven by voltage or current and its output can be voltage or current. The parameters ω0 and ω0/Q 0 enjoy independent electronic tunability. Applying the determining equation proposed by Chua and Tang (1982), a frequency sensitivity problem in RC op.-amp. based oscillators is considered. A new expression for the sensitivity of oscillation frequency, ωo, to changes in any oscillator parameter is developed. Then, the condition for this frequency to be insensitive to changes in the gain-bandwidth products (GB) of the op.-amp. used in the oscillator is formulated. Examples of two circuits exhibiting a zero sensitivity of ωo to the GB changes (a very desirable feature) are presented. The first example represents oscillators with a single op.-amp. whose slew-rate effect is the only oscillator non-linearity. The second example concerns oscillators with a so-called composite amplifier where non-linear elements included in the oscillator feedback network are responsible for amplitude stabilization.  相似文献

This paper introduces a versatile current-mode biquadratic circuit using second generation current-controlled current conveyors (CCCIIs). The circuit is constructed with two plus type multiple current output CCCIIs (MO-CCCIIs) and two grounded capacitors. The circuit can realize low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, band-stop and all-pass transfer functions by choosing appropriate input and output terminals without any component matching conditions. Additionally, the circuit parameters Q and ω0 can be set orthogonally by adjusting the bias currents of the MO-CCCIIs and grounded capacitors. The biquadratic circuit enjoys very low sensitivities to the circuit components.

A current-controlled multivibrator using operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) is proposed and the circuit operation is described. The frequency of oscillations ?o is calculated (both bipolar and MOS OTAs are treated). The circuit allows operation with a low voltage power supply. An example describes the experimental results for the multivibrator realized with CA3080 OTA integrated circuits. Linear control of ?o over a two decade range (500 Hz–50 kHz) is obtained with the minimum rated power supply voltage of ±2 V.  相似文献

Energy change of an electron beam is studied numerically when it transits a rf field gap of width L. For a premodulated beam, the transit time L/<v0> for maximum energy extraction is shortened to 0.475 T (T=2π/ω, <v0> is the average velocity of the electrons) when the modulation frequency ωm is matched to the rf field frequency ω. Enhancement of the extraction efficiency ηo is dependent on the modulation coefficient h1 and h2. For a uniform beam with V=500 kV, ηo is less than 2%. ηo reaches 11% for a prebunched beam with h1=0.7 and h2=0.1 and will surpass 20% for an ideally modulated beam.  相似文献

In this study, a new current-mode current-controlled universal filter with single input and three outputs is presented. The proposed circuit uses single-output current controlled conveyors (CCCIIs) and can simultaneously realize lowpass, bandpass and highpass filter functions all at high impedance outputs. Realization of notch and allpass responses does not require additional active elements. The circuit enjoys independent current-control of the parameters ω0 and ω0/Q without disturbing the gains of the lowpass, bandpass and highpass filters. A new single-element-controlled sinusoidal oscillator circuit that incorporates two second generation current conveyors (CCIIs), two grounded capacitors and two resistors is presented and analysed. The circuit is beneficial to monolithic integrated circuit implementation by the use of grounded capacitors. In addition, a new current-controlled sinusoidal oscillator using only two second generation current controlled conveyors (CCCIIs) and two grounded capacitors can be achieved by replacing CCIIs and resistors series at X terminals with CCCIIs. The oscillators provide extremely low passive ω0-sensitivities and good frequency stability. Moreover, the oscillation frequencies of the CCII-based and the CCCII-based oscillators can be controlled, respectively, by a grounded resistor and by an external bias current. Experimental and SPICE simulation results that confirm the theoretical predictions are given.  相似文献

A new universal current-mode biquad with two inputs and three outputs or three inputs and two outputs using only two second-generation current conveyors and four grounded/virtual-grounded passive elements is proposed. The proposed circuit has the following advantages: simultaneous realization of five generic current-mode filter signals from the same configuration; no requirements of any cancellation constraints; employment of two grounded capacitors ideal for integrated circuit implementation; employment of two grounded/virtually grounded resistors suitable for voltage control; orthogonal adjustment of ω0/Q and ω0 through two separate grounded/virtually-grounded resistors; high output impedance good for cascadability for the current-mode circuits; and low active and passive sensitivities.  相似文献

This paper presents a current-mode biquadratic filter based on ZC-CFTAs. It employs only three ZC-CFTAs, one resistor and two grounded capacitors. It can simultaneously realize not only highpass and lowpass filtering functions but also two different forms of bandpass ones; one has a pass-band gain of Q, the other, a pass-band gain of unity. Its ωo and Q can be tuned orthogonally through adjusting bias currents of ZC-CFTAs. Moreover, the proposed circuit can also be modified to be a current controlled four-phase quadrature oscillator with small distortion. Non-ideal analysis and sensitivity analysis are provided. The results of circuit simulations are in agreement with theory.  相似文献

In this paper, a versatile three‐input five‐output universal capacitor‐grounded voltage‐mode filter is proposed. The circuit employs two differential voltage current conveyors as active elements together with two grounded capacitors and four resistors as passive elements. The proposed configuration can be used as either a single‐input five‐output or three‐input two‐output. Unlike the previously reported works, it can simultaneously realize five different generic filtering signals: lowpass, bandpass, highpass, bandreject, and allpass. It still maintains the following advantages: (i) the employment of all grounded capacitors, (ii) no need to employ inverting‐type input signals, (iii) no need to impose component choice, (iv) orthogonal control of the resonance angular frequency ωo and the quality factor Q, and (v) low active and passive sensitivity performances.  相似文献

A new multifunction voltage-mode biquad filter topology having three inputs and one output is described. The filter consists of a single operational amplifier (OA), a single capacitor, and two resistors and supports LP, BP, HP, AP and Notch filtering signals from the same topology, without requiring additional components besides being devoid of component matching constraints. The filter uses OA pole and has thereby acquired suitability for extended frequency operation. The natural angular frequency ω0 and the Q can be separately tuned. A novel gm –RC quadrature oscillator using operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) and grounded passive elements is proposed. The circuit provides two quadrature outputs of equal magnitude and the oscillation frequency is insensitive to temperature. The oscillation frequency can be linearly and electronically controlled without affecting the condition of oscillation. The active ω0-sensitivity has been shown to be small. Experimental and simulation results that demonstrate the performance of the proposed oscillator are also included.  相似文献

A new realisation scheme for third order lowpass Butterworth filter function (BFF) using two CFA devices and few RC components is presented. The design equations utilise the transadmittance elements of the devices. The maximally flat response at select frequencies in the range 5 MHz ≤ f o ≤ 30 MHz had been verified with PSPICE macromodel simulation and by hardware circuit implementation using the AD-844 device. The active sensitivities are quite low. The simulation result and the measured responses are included for f o = 5.1 MHz and 22.2 MHz.  相似文献

This paper presents a possible usage of the voltage differencing transconductance amplifier (VDTA) for the design of an electronically tunable single-input five-output voltage-mode universal filter. The presented filter is constructed using two VDTAs, two capacitors and two resistors that are all grounded. The circuit simultaneously realizes lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP) filtering responses, without changing the circuit topology. The circuit is capable of providing an independent electronic control of the natural angular frequency (ω 0) and the quality factor (Q) through the transconductance gains of the VDTAs. By simply adjusting the transconductance ratio, a high-Q filter can also be obtained. Because of the high-input impedance of the circuit, it is advantageous for cascade connection. To support the theoretical analysis, the properties of the designed filter have been verified by PSPICE simulation results.  相似文献

An electronically tunable universal voltage-mode biquadratic filter with single input and four outputs using one differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DDCCTA), two resistors and two grounded capacitors is proposed. All the five standard biquadratic filter functions; lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP), can be obtained from the circuit configuration. The LP, BP and HP are simultaneously available without component matching condition. By imposing component choice, the BS and AP responses can also be realized from the same circuit configuration. In addition, the proposed circuit provides an electronic control of its natural angular frequency (ω0) and quality factor (Q) by adjusting the bias current of the DDCCTA. In this work, the effect of the variation in lateral straggle on TFETs performance is demonstrated. The ion implantation technique during fabrication process causes the extension of dopants from source/drain region towards the channel. Even though the use of non-zero tilt angle at the time of ion implantation is necessary to avoid the channeling effect, however, series resistance, threshold voltage roll offs, switching speed and effective channel length of the device get affected by the non abrupt doping profile at the source/drain-body junction. It is established earlier that TFET is very convenient for Analog/RF application owing to its below 60 mV/decade subthreshold swing and reduced short channel effects. In order to show the effect of lateral straggle on TFET’s performance, various Analog figure of merits (FOMs) such as drain current (Id), transconductance (gm), transconductance generation factor (gm/Id), output resistance (Ro), intrinsic gain (gmRo) and RF figure of merits (FOMs) like unity gain cutoff frequency (fT), transit frequency of maximum available power gain (fMAX) are investigated for the variation in straggle parameter from 0 nm to 5 nm in order to optimize the device performance. The circuit performance of the device for different lateral straggle is carried out using common source amplifier.  相似文献

Polymer solar cells (PSCs) based on the PBDTTT-EFT (polymer donor):N2200 (polymer acceptor) blend have been fabricated with the active layer processed with various solvents including o-dichlorobenzene (o-DCB), chlorobenzene (CB), chloroform (CF), and CF:p-xylene (PX) mixed solvent. A highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 5.37% is achieved with the active layer processed with CF:PX mixed solvent. The dependence of short-circuit current density (JSC) on incident light intensity indicates that the charge recombination is to some extent suppressed in the device with the active layer processed with the CF:PX mixed solvent and results in an enhanced JSC. Morphology studies disclosed that the domains are preferential face-on orientation in the active layers processed with o-DCB, CB and CF, while it shows a combined face-on and edge-on orientation in CF:PX-processed film. The long-lived trap-assisted charge recombination originated from the active layer morphological variance has been focused on and investigated. And the nanosecond transient absorption experiment further demonstrated that the PBDTTT-EFT:N2200 film processed with o-DCB shows obvious long-lived trap-assisted charge recombination, while the trap-assisted charge recombination is effectively suppressed in the PBDTTT-EFT:N2200 film processed with CF:PX mixed solvent. This implies that deep localized traps correlated with the PBDTTT-EFT:N2200 morphology are reduced by using the CF:PX mixed solvent to process the active layer. In addition, the domains with a mixed orientation in the active layer may also enhance the three-dimensional charge transport and hence improve the charge-collection efficiency.  相似文献
