In this paper, a distributed parameter model for the evaporation system of a subcritical once-through, coal-fired, twin-furnace boiler based on 3-D temperature field reconstruction is developed. The imaginary wall surface was put forward to simplify the twin-furnace problem. The mathematical model was formulated for predicting the transient distributions of parameters, such as the heat flux, the metal-surface temperature and the steam quality; while considering the non-uniform distributions of the surface heat transfer coefficient and frictional resistance coefficient. The model was based on the 3-D temperature distribution got by a flame image processing technique. The model was validated by some measurable parameters of the evaporation system at three typical loads. The results show that the heat flux and the temperature which are located at the overlapping region of the two tangential flames are higher than those in other corners. This distributed parameter model on evaporation system reflects the in-situ operating status of the power plant boiler, which may lead to the subsequent research on a supercritical boiler.  相似文献

Radiographic image quality, which is quantified by radiographic sensitivity measurements, is significantly influenced by parameters such as scattering, effective attenuation coefficient and image contrast. In the present work, the Monte Carlo method has been utilized to simulate Gamma ray scattering and image contrast for double wall radiography of pipes and some experiments have been designed to determine the radiographic sensitivity and measure the effective attenuation coefficient. Wire type image quality indicators were simulated as artificial defects and the threshold contrast and minimum optical density difference for viewing each wire were investigated. It was found that the maximum allowable source to film distance for double wall exposure and single wall viewing technique was 1.4 times the outside diameter of the pipe and the image contrast and radiographic sensitivity were higher for this technique in comparison with the double wall viewing technique. The double wall exposure and double wall viewing technique is proposed to be used when the minimum source to film distance is higher than 1.4 times the outside diameter.  相似文献

Because the parasitic load on most polymer electrolyte fuel cell systems is dominated by pressure losses across the flow fields, understanding the flow channel dynamics has garnered significant recent attention. The current work is aimed at enabling advanced design of reactant flow channels by elucidating the details of the velocity fields within various reactant flow channel geometries. Gas-phase measurement is critical to ensuring that the results are valid for real fuel cell systems, and for application of this technique to the study of flow channels with two-phase obstruction phenomena. In the current research, gas-phase velocity fields have been measured using particle image velocimetry (PIV) in representative geometries, including a straight channel (for technique validation) and a 180° switchback with channel-to-land ratio of 1:1. The accuracy of the measurement depends on the ability of the seed particles to follow the flow. Numerical simulations have been performed to develop a criterion for identifying appropriate seed particles. The research presented is a first step toward measuring velocity fields in novel flow reactant channels in operational cells.  相似文献

This work studies the transport phenomena in a nonsaturated flow of a newtonian fluid through a rigid porous matrix. A mixture theory approach is used in the modelling of the fluid flow and the heat, transfer problem. The mixture consists of three overlapping continuous constituents: a solid (porous medium), a liquid and an inert gas, assumed with zero mass density and thermal conductivity. A set of four nonlinear partial differential equations describes the problem which is approximated by means of a Glimm's scheme, combined with an operator splitting technique, for the hyperbolic equations and a finite-difference scheme for the elliptic ones.  相似文献

利用图像处理技术,根据层流预混火焰稳定燃烧的条件结合预混火焰燃烧模型,设计了火焰传播速度在线实时测量系统,通过图像采集在线获取火焰的静态图像,然后自动对图像进行滤波,边缘提取,再进行计算得到火焰传播前沿面积,在线算出火焰传播速度,这种方法具有非接触式测量的优点,利用它不仅可以测量层流预混火焰的传播速度,同时还为层流火焰的燃烧机理的研究提供一种直接的手段.  相似文献
