This paper considers digitized Weaver modulators for single-sideband modulation that can be used in radio communications and telemetering. A system of 12 such modulators to process 12 analog signals digitally is replaced by six multiplex modulators at the cost of additional computation at the input but with an overall reduction in computation time and a higher degree of accuracy. A unique digital filter is developed that can interpolate and output samples at multiples of the input sampling rate and exhibits a passband that occurs above the Nyquist frequency with no apparent distortion effects. A discussion of the Fortran simulation of a combined modulator-demodulator structure is included to verify the effectiveness of this scheme. 相似文献

A combination of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and compatible single-sideband modulation (CompSSB) using a standard direct-detection scheme is suggested to overcome chromatic dispersion without explicit compensation. Since the proposed type of SSB modulation does not require a spectral gap between optical carrier and subcarriers, it is highly spectrally efficient and the complexity in the analogue part is reduced compared to known direct-detection schemes for OFDM. 相似文献

Considering the recovery of carrier phase and timing for optimum detection of a single-sideband data signal, a relation is derived for simultaneous optimum setting of these parameters. To find the optimum settings, it is shown that the mean-square error (MSE) of the demodulated signal, defined as the sum of the squared deviations of the received signal from the nearest possible level of an undistorted signal, is a useful measure of carrier phase and timing errors only near the optimum settings, so that a rough estimate of both carrier phase and timing must be available at the receiver. 相似文献

为了测试设计波长为1550 nm的液晶光学相控阵在633 nm波段的相位调制特性,采用泰曼格林干涉法和偏振光干涉法相结合的方法来进行测量。实验结果表明,液晶光学相控阵的相位延迟随灰度近似呈线性分布,在0~255的灰度范围内针对633 nm激光的实际相位调制在0~3.76π之间,在135~255的灰度范围内线性度良好,可以作为液晶的工作区域。由于液晶相位控制的准确性和精度是通过加载相应的灰度来实现的,因此测量相位延迟和灰度对应关系的研究对于液晶光学相控阵用于高精度光束偏转和跟踪有着重要价值。 相似文献

光学元件上不可避免地存在的缺陷会对传输光束产生局域振幅和相位调制。基于菲涅耳衍射积分,建立了高斯光束经局域相位调制后的传输模型,得到了高斯光束经有限多个小尺寸局域相位调制后的光强分布和角谱解析式,详细研究了相位调制尺寸与调制深度对光束光强分布和角谱的影响。结果表明,不同调制尺寸、调制深度对高斯光束在传输过程中的影响相似。且调制深度越大,产生的最大光强越大。相位缺陷尺寸越大产生的最大光强的位置离缺陷越远,随着调制深度、尺寸的增大和调制位置距光轴距离越近,低频区的角谱越小,中高频区的角谱越大。 相似文献

A new analytical model is presented to study nonlinear distortion due to cross-phase modulation in dispersive and nonlinear wavelength-division-multiplexing microwave fiber-optic links. The model is not based on the pump-probe approach. Hence, it can be used to analyze a larger variety of links, including, in particular, electrooptical upconversion links. Our simulations and experiments show that the model predicts the nonlinear distortion due to cross-phase modulation quite accurately, even when the modulating microwave frequency is in tens of gigahertz and the fiber length is in tens of kilometers. Detailed analyses of the distortion due to cross-phase modulation for links with optical single-sideband modulation are presented. Measured results for optical single-sideband are shown to match our theoretical predictions very well. Our results show that the nonlinear distortion due to cross-phase modulation can be a limiting factor for optical launch power in wavelength-division-multiplexing microwave fiber-optic links; moreover, the maximum possible nonlinear distortion level for a higher frequency may be lower than that for a lower frequency. A novel joint timing and phase-recovery technique is proposed for continuous phase modulation (CPM) systems based on Kalman filtering and an approximate representation of CPM signals with nonorthogonal exponential expansions (nOEE). Compared with existing techniques, the proposed synchronizer requires a less complex front-end processor, and can achieve reliable acquisition performance with a shorter preamble. The asymptotic stability and convergence of the proposed synchronizer is analyzed, including the effect of statistical channel-modeling errors on the convergence characteristics. The selection of suboptimal nOEEs and the design of triple-initialized Kalman filters are also discussed. Both theoretical and simulation results show that the proposed synchronizer is robust in acquiring and tracking both the time shift and the phase offset on either time-invariant or time-variant channels. 相似文献

提出了一种新的计算机图像处理光栅投影三维轮廓测量系统,该系统用一分二单模光纤耦合器产生正弦光强分布的投影光栅场;将光纤一臂绕在压电陶瓷(PZT)环引入相移。将该系统用于实际测量得到了满意的效果。该系统具有结构简单、体积小、重量轻、光栅条纹清晰并且光强正弦分布等优点,有很高的实用价值。讨论了通过位相调制对多灰度图像进行功率谱相减的原理,并提出了利用此原理实现多灰度多目标光学联合变换相关的新的实验方法。其中需对功率谱进行两次记录并进行相减。在第二次的记录过程中,利用位相板使参考图像产生半波位相延迟。将相减后的功率谱进行傅里叶逆变换,能够使相关峰得到明显增强,而且大大抑制了多目标间的相关及背景噪声间的相关。此方法特别适用于具有多灰度背景噪声的多灰度的多目标识别,而且方法简单,易于实现。 相似文献
