The paper discusses neutron research at the B. P. Konstantinov St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute in connection with the anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Brief results are presented on fundamental and nuclear physics and on the physics of the condensed state. Korea plans to build a new radioactive ion-beam accelerator RAON together with various experimental facilities. In particular, KOBRA(the Korea Broad Acceptance Recoil Spectrometer Apparatus) and LAMPS(the Large-Acceptance Multi-Purpose Spectrometer) will be constructed for the nuclear physics experiments.The primary goal of KOBRA is to study the structure of exotic nuclei near drip lines and various astrophysical processes at low energies. On the other hand, LAMPS will investigate the density dependence of the nuclear symmetry energy in wide beam energy range up to 2 times normal nuclear densities. This paper provides an overview of RAON and the experimental setup for the nuclear physics program.  相似文献

A method is developed for calculating those basic phenomena in a weak-focusing proton synchrotron which depend on the choice of the parameters of the accelerator. Free oscillations, variations of the orbit, resonances of free and phase oscillations, and injection theory, are considered. The theory is applied to the 10-Bev proton synchrotron of the Academy of Sciences, USSR.At present the proton synchrotron belongs to the Joint Institute for Nuclear Study (Ed.).In conclusion, I consider it my pleasant duty to epress my gratitude to V.
