推导了一种新的解决WCDMA系统长码签名序列盲检测和定时信息联合盲估计的算法.根据已知发送符号,利用长码生成式和WCDMA系统定时关系建立动态方程,给出了以观测量为条件,估计和检测状态量的联合后验概率的表达式,然后选取重要性函数和推导重要性函数的递推公式,使用建议的Rao-Blackwellised粒子滤波算法,结合长码序列的游程特性,实现长码签名序列检测和定时信息估计.Rao-Blackwellised粒子滤波算法复杂度比最大似然算法明显降低,仿真结果表明在有色噪声下获得了与最大似然算法相近的检测性能,定时信息的估计值收敛快,误差小.  相似文献

We consider the downlink of a Universal Mobile Telecommunication System terrestrial radio access-wideband code division multiple access (UTRA-WCDMA) system and we investigate the performance of the conventional RAKE receiver. A multipath slowly Rayleigh fading channel is assumed. For the purpose of channel tap weight estimation, a common control physical channel, that is either serial or parallel multiplexed with the dedicated physical channels, is used. The receiver sensitivity to imperfect knowledge of the path delays, to the number of pilot symbols, and to the power ratio of pilot to data channels is also investigated. The system performance is evaluated by means of bit-error rates (BERs) derived using quadratic forms and characteristic functions for a BPSK modulation. The mean-squared estimation error (MSEE) of the channel tap weights is also computed and compared to the classical Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB). The mutual interference between pilot and data symbols is taken into account  相似文献

A sliding window decorrelating algorithm is developed. It is shown to be near-far resistant both in AWGN and fast fading environments. The algorithm is of particular relevance to base stations in multiuser DS-CDMA mobile radio networks and is shown to alleviate the requirement for a complex power control algorithm to compensate for rapidly varying relative user energies.<>  相似文献

The average channel capacity (in the Shannon sense) assigned to each user of a spread spectrum system operating in Rayleigh fading is estimated when optimum operation of a maximal ratio combining RAKE receiver is assumed. As is shown, the derived expression fully conforms to the upper bound for the capacity of an ideal non-fading additive white Gaussian noise channel when the transmitted signal bandwidth tends to infinity, i.e. the Shannon limit, proving the validity of the presented analysis  相似文献

Previous studies showed that multiuser detection in code-division multiple-access (CDMA) communications can be performed without explicit knowledge of users' channel characteristics in a frequency-selective fading environment. However, the computations of these blind approaches are an order of magnitude higher than existing adaptive minimum output energy (MOE) receivers which require at least knowledge of the desired user's channel response. Although the high-complexity problem can be alleviated by constrained adaptive filtering, the tradeoff is a significant drop in receiver performance, especially when the multipath pattern is time varying. In this paper, we present an adaptive receiver for CDMA communications over frequency-selective, and possibly time-varying, wireless channels. A salient feature of the new receiver is that it has complexity and performance comparable to that of the well-known MOE receivers, and yet requires no knowledge of the desired user's channel characteristics  相似文献

The design of single-user decorrelating receivers employing finite-precision sequences for despreading is considered. The problem is formulated as a nonlinear bounded integer optimization problem which is shown to be network performance (NP)-hard. A branch-and-bound algorithm for finding the best finite-precision decorrelating sequence is described. Numerical examples demonstrate that the loss in performance between the optimum, infinite-precision, and the best finite-precision decorrelator is small even for large channel occupancies. Some suboptimum algorithms are investigated which greatly reduce the computational complexity associated with finding good finite precision decorrelator sequences  相似文献

WCDMA R5版本协议引入了高速下行共享信道用于支持高速业务,为此增加了高速下行物理共享信道(HS—PDSCH)、高速下行控制信道(HS—SCCH)以及高速上行反馈信道(HS—DPCCH)。其中,HS—PDSCH在不同的环境下可以采用16QAM或者QPSK两种调制方式,文中提出了RAKE接收机的接收方案,并在瑞利衰落环境下进行了仿真,同时对仿真结果加以分析。结果表明,此RAKE接收机的性能能够满足接收要求,且易于实现。  相似文献

This paper focuses on the design and measurements of low-noise amplifiers (LNA) targeted for WCDMA base-station applications. In addition, various gain control techniques and the accuracy in noise measurements have been analyzed. Two different LNA designs are presented. Both LNAs can be operated in two gain modes, which are optimized for different base-station configurations. Both designs are implemented using the same 0.25-μm SiGe BiCMOS process, and both designs achieve the NF of 1 dB and IIP3 of ?5 dBm in high gain mode.  相似文献

We consider the problem of demodulating and decoding multiuser information symbols in an uplink asynchronous coded code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system employing long (aperiodic) spreading sequences, in the presence of unknown multipath channels, out-cell multiple-access interference (OMAI), and narrow-band interference (NBI). A blind turbo multiuser receiver, consisting of a novel blind Bayesian multiuser detector and a bank of MAP decoders, is developed for such a system. The effect of OMAI and NBI is modeled as colored Gaussian noise with some unknown covariance matrix. The main contribution of this paper is to develop blind Bayesian multiuser detectors for long-code multipath CDMA systems under both white and colored Gaussian noise. Such detectors are based on the Bayesian inference of all unknown quantities. The Gibbs sampler, a Markov chain Monte Carlo procedure, is then used to calculate the Bayesian estimates of the unknowns. The blind Bayesian multiuser detector computes the a posteriori probabilities of the channel coded symbols, which are differentially encoded before being sent to the channel. Being soft-input soft-output in nature, the proposed blind Bayesian multiuser detectors and the MAP decoders can iteratively exchange the extrinsic information to successively refine the performance, leading to the so-called blind turbo multiuser receiver  相似文献

Previously, we proposed a differential space-code modulation (DSCM) scheme that integrates the strength of differential space-time coding and spreading to achieve interference suppression and resistance to time-varying channel fading in single-user environments. In this paper, we consider the problem of multiuser receiver design for code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems that utilize DSCM for transmission. In particular, we propose two differential receivers for such systems. These differential receivers do not require the channel state information (CSI) for detection and, still, are resistant to multiuser interference (MUI) and time-varying channel fading. We also propose a coherent receiver that requires only the CSI of the desired user for detection. The coherent receiver yields improved performance over the differential receivers when reliable channel estimates are available (e.g., in slowly fading channels). The proposed differential/coherent receivers are decorrelative schemes that decouple the detection of different users. Both long and short spreading codes can be employed in these schemes. Numerical examples are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed receivers.  相似文献

Code division multiple access (CDMA) schemes allow a number of asynchronous users to share a transmission medium with minimum cooperation among them. However, sophisticated signal processing algorithms are needed at the receiver to combat interference from other users and multipath effects. A discrete-time multirate formulation is introduced for asynchronous CDMA systems, which can incorporate multipath effects. This formulation reveals interesting links between CDMA receivers and array processing problems. In this framework, linear receivers are derived that can completely suppress multiuser interference (decorrelating receivers). A criterion is introduced, which guarantees the decorrelating property, while providing optimal solutions in the presence of noise. Parametric FIR designs as well as nonparametric solutions are delineated, and their performance is analyzed. This paper deals with the problem of channel tracking for RAKE receivers in propagation environments characterized by closely spaced multipath components. After outlining why conventional single-path channel tracking algorithms fail in such scenarios, several new estimation algorithms are developed that are tailored to channels with closely spaced multipaths. This is achieved by removing or minimizing self-interference caused by multipath components. Other interfering users are treated as noise. Both timing tracking and phasor tracking and their interaction are covered in this paper. The derived algorithms are benchmarked against perfect channel knowledge on one hand and conventional tracking algorithms on the other hand, both in a UMTS test scenario. In moderate scenarios, the use of these new algorithms leads to performance improvements of up to 2 dB, in terms of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at moderate bit error rates, and even manages to track the channel in conditions where conventional tracking algorithms fail completely  相似文献

A matched filter (MF) based upon the cascoded class AB SI technique is presented for spread-spectrum communication receivers. Accomplished through both architectural and circuit developments, the filter's features include low power, high speed and compatibility with standard CMOS process inherent to SI signal processing. For performance assessment, a 31-tap 80 MS/s SI MF for despreading task in future high-speed WCDMA receivers is demonstrated.  相似文献

We propose a new scheme for multiple antenna transmission in the context of spread-spectrum signaling. The new scheme consists of using shifted Gold sequences to modulate independent information on the multiple antennas. We show that this strategy of using multiphase spreading (MPS) on different antennas greatly improves the throughput over currently known spread-spectrum multiple-antenna methods. We also find the optimal power allocation strategy among multiple transmit antennas for a fixed rate of channel state information, which might be provided via a feedback link, at the transmitter. We demonstrate the differences in optimal power distribution for maximizing capacity and minimizing probability of outage. When the transmission from the two antennas uses orthogonal spreading, we find that optimizing the power does not give much gain over the equal power transmission. However, when the transmissions are not orthogonal as in the case of MPS, then allocating power to maximize throughput gives considerable gain over equal power transmission. We also consider the effect of imperfections in the feedback channel on the optimal power allocation and show that our power allocation scheme is robust to feedback errors.  相似文献

在第三代移动通信WCDMA的最新通信标准[1]中,下行信道在保留时分复用导频符号的同时,新增了公共导频信道.本文针对WCDMA这一最新改变,给出了利用公共导频信道进行信道估计,实现相干RAKE接收的模型算法、性能分析及仿真结果.仿真表明,利用公共导频信道的RAKE接收机性能明显优于时分插入导频符号辅助的RAKE接收机的性能,尤其在高速及变速运动情况下,而且具有信道估计算法简单、信道跟踪实时性强的特点.  相似文献

This letter focuses on the performance analysis of the decorrelating receiver in multipath Rician faded CDMA channels. M-ary QAM scheme is employed to improve the spectral efficiency. Approximate expressions are first derived for the two performance indexes: the average symbol error rate (SER) and the average bit error rate (BER) when the decorrelating-first receiver perfectly knows the channel information of the user of interest. To achieve desirable closed-form expressions of the SER and the BER, we exploit results in large system analysis and make assumptions of a high signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) and/or a small Rician K-factor. To measure the receiver performance in the practical scenario, we further derive expressions to approximate the average SER and BER of the decorrelating-first scheme with channel uncertainty. Simulation results demonstrate that the analytical results can also be employed to evaluate the performance of the combining-first receiver.  相似文献

We propose and analyze new finger assignment techniques that are applicable for RAKE receivers in the soft handover (SHO) region. Specifically, extending the results for the case of two-base station (BS), we consider the multi-BS situation, attack the statistics of several correlated generalized selection combining (GSC) stages, and provide closed-form expressions for the statistics of the output signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). By investigating the tradeoff among the error performance, the average number of required path estimations/comparisons, and the SHO overhead, we show through numerical examples that the new schemes offer commensurate performance in comparison with more complicated GSC-based diversity systems while requiring a smaller estimation load and SHO overhead.  相似文献

Blind space-time RAKE receivers for classical DS-CDMA that cancel strong multiuser access interference while optimally combining the desired user's multipath are presented. The delay spread is assumed to be fraction of a symbol interval as in the IS-95 CDMA standard. The post-correlation symbol interval is segmented into that which encompasses the RAKE fingers and that away from the RAKE fingers. The signal-plus-interference and interference alone space-time correlation matrices are estimated during the former and latter, respectively. Reduced-dimension space-time RAKE receivers are investigated for alleviation of the computational burden of computing the largest generalized eigenvector of the resulting matrix pencil. Theoretical analysis and supporting simulations reveal that if the space and time compressing transformations are designed judiciously, reduced-dimension two-dimensional (2-D) RAKE receivers offer faster convergence at the expense of only a slight loss in asymptotic signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) relative to the full-dimension space-time RAKE receiver. A new second-order lowpass filter based on a single CMOS fully differential current conveyor is presented. Developed from the Sallen-Key highpass filter, the proposed filter is AC coupled and provides programmable gain. Moreover, the filter exhibits low noise, high linearity and low power, making it suitable for implementing the baseband filter of a WCDMA direct-conversion wireless receiver. A WCDMA filter having a programmable bandwidth around 2.1 MHz, a variable gain range of 50 dB and a DC notch below 2 kHz using passive components below 5 kW for resistors and 20 pF for capacitors is implemented.
