The Mg0.9Ti0.1Ni1-xPdx (x= 0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15) hydrogen storage electrode alloys were prepared by mechanical alloying. The main phases of the alloys were determined as amorphous by X-ray diffraction(XRD). The corrosion potentials of the alloys were measured by open circuit potential measurements and the values are -0.478, -0.473, -0.473 and -0.471 V (vs Hg/HgO electrode) for x=0, 0.05, 0.1, 0.15, respectively. The corrosion currents of the studied alloys were obtained by non-linear fitting of the anodic polarization curve using Bulter-Volmer equation and Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm, which were obtained after different cycles. The initial corrosion currents of the alloys are decreased with the increasing of Pd content. The increasing of Pd content in the alloys inhibits the corrosion rates of the electrode alloys with the progress of cycle number. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS) was conducted after open circuit potential of the alloys stabilizing. The impedance data fit well with the theoretical values obtained by the proposed equivalent circuit model. The corrosion resistances and the thickness of surface passive film of the alloys, which were deduced by the analyses of EIS, are enhanced with the increasing of Pd content in the alloys, which are consistent with the results of corrosion rates obtained from anodic polarization measurements.  相似文献

Based on the polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in the case of four commercial dental alloys (Wirolloy, Heraenium, NicromalSoft and VeraSoft) maintained in 0.1 M NaCl solution, it was established the type and the intensity of the corrosion process by means of the corrosion currents value. The passivation of all the samples occurred spontaneously at the open circuit potential. The corrosion currents value decrease after the alloys maintenance in the corrosive medium due their passivation. The corrosion currents have values of nA order for all the samples and decrease with the increase of the immersion time. The alloys Heraenium and Wirolloy are in the optimum corrosion resistant condition. The VeraSoft and NicromalSoft alloys presented a dangerous breakdown potential (about 200–300 mV). The EIS results show that all NiCr-based alloys exhibits passivity at open circuit potential. The Heraenium and Wirolloy alloys with dendritic microstructure show the best electrochemical behaviour in 0.1 M NaCl solutions  相似文献

Electrochemical corrosion behaviour of the studied Ni47.7Ti37.8Nb14.5 (NiTiNb) shape memory alloy was investigated for dental applications. An equiatomic NiTi alloy was used in some tests as reference material. Electrochemical techniques such as anodic potentiodynamic polarization, open circuit potential and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were employed. Experiments were carried out using artificial saliva. Very low passive current densities were obtained from the anodic polarization curve, indicating a typical passive behaviour for NiTiNb alloy. Over the surface of the NiTiNb alloy uniform corrosion appears, while in case of the NiTi alloy surface pitting corrosion is developed. The role that Nb plays as an alloying element is by increasing the resistance of NiTi alloy to localized corrosion. The EIS results exhibited high impedance values (order of 106 Ω cm2) obtained from medium to low frequencies which are indicative of the formation of a highly stable passive film on NiTiNb alloy in the artificial saliva.  相似文献

采用电化学阻抗、动电位极化、开路电位监测和X射线光电子能谱(XPS)等手段,研究了环氧涂层中锌铬黄颜料对镁合金的腐蚀防护作用,并分析了其防蚀机理。结果表明,锌铬黄防锈颜料均匀分散在涂层中,增强了涂层的屏蔽性能以及涂层与镁合金基体的结合力;在3%NaCl水溶液中,锌铬黄是一种阳极型缓蚀剂,它依靠铬酸根离子的阳极钝化作用形成钝化膜,阻滞了阳极腐蚀过程,造成涂层试样开路电位正移,使涂层试样的阳极极化增大。  相似文献

The corrosion behavior of Ti–5Ag–xFe alloys (x = 1, 2.5, 5 wt%) in neutral saline solution was investigated by the open‐circuit potential (OCP), potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and potentiostatic tests. The microstructural observation indicated that β‐Ti phase was retained by the addition of Fe into Ti–Ag alloys. Compared with commercially pure (CP) Ti, Ti–5Ag–xFe alloys exhibited higher corrosion potentials, lower current densities, and larger impedance, these suggested that Ti–5Ag–xFe alloys have nobler electrochemical corrosion behavior when compared with CP Ti in neutral saline solution.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of two kinds of artificial aged Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys in two intergranular cor-rosion (IGC) solutions were studied using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and open circuit potential (OCP) at steady-state. EDAX result indicates that different artificial ageing methods change the composition and content of Cu and Zn in different zones. Zn/Cu depleted precipitation-free zone that plays a very important role in IGC is formed by heating the solubilized Al alloy for 135℃ at 16 h. All impedance spectra of the two alloys in two IGC solutions can be divided into three types. The two different states A1 alloys takes on one time constant and two capacitive arcs at high-mediate frequency and low frequency in the NaCl (NH4 )2SO4 solution respectively; but in the NaCl HCl solution, impedance displays one capacitive arc at the high-mediate frequency and an inductive loop at low frequency. OCP results show that more micro-galvanic cells in the NaCl (NH4)2SO4 solution than that in the NaCl HCl solution results in more potential fluctuation amplitude, and long-term drift of OCP is due to the long-term variation of the cathodic and anodic corrosion processes.  相似文献

利用电化学极化曲线方法和电化学阻抗(EIS)技术研究了非晶合金Zr55Al10Cu30Ni5在3.5%NaCl溶液中的电化学行为。极化曲线测试结果表明,非晶合金Zr55Al10Cu30Ni5在3.5%NaCl溶液中具有很好的耐蚀性能,阳极过程表现出钝化特征,当极化电位很高时,非晶合金出现了点腐蚀。电化学交流阻抗测试表明,在阴极极化,开路电位和钝化电位下,非晶合金的Nyquist图由单容抗构成,具有很高的电荷转移电阻,表现出优良的耐蚀性,在点蚀电位附近和点蚀电位区EIS分别有两个时间常数和三个时间常数,非晶合金在3.5%NaCl溶液中浸泡12h后,耐蚀性能有所下降。  相似文献

通过极化曲线与电化学阻抗谱(EIS)等技术对LY12铝合金表面形成的BTSE硅烷膜在NaCl溶液中的性能进行了研究.结果表明,硅烷膜的存在,一方面很大程度上增大了铝合金的耐蚀性,另一方面并不影响合金电极在腐蚀介质中的电极动力学.这意味着BTSE膜对侵蚀粒子仅起到阻挡层的作用.提出了硅烷化试样在测试溶液中的合理等效电路,并对EIS数据进行了拟合.采用正交设计方法对硅烷化工艺参数进行了优化,其中采用电极体系的极化电阻(由EIS拟合得出)来量化硅烷膜的耐蚀性.文中还对各因素对膜性能的影响规律进行了初步探讨。  相似文献

The inhibiting effect of 2-mercaptobenzimidazole (MBI) against Cu-30Ni alloy corrosion in aerated 3% NaCl polluted by ammonia, has been developed. Potentiodynamic and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements have been applied to determine the corrosion rate. scanning electron microscopy (SEM) studied surface morphology has been used to characterise electrode surface. The obtained results indicate that MBI acts as a good mixed-type inhibitor retarding the anodic and cathodic reactions. An increase of MBI concentration leads to a decrease of corrosion rate and inhibition efficiency increase.  相似文献

The corrosion behavior of aluminum and aluminum silicon alloys in 0.1 M NaOH solution in the absence and presence of gelatin was studied using potentiostat polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), cyclic voltammetry and potentiodynamic anodic polarization techniques. The percentage inhibition efficiency increases with increasing the concentration of gelatin and with decreasing temperature as well as Si content. This was attributed to a lower affinity of the inhibitor to adsorb on Si than on Al. The inhibitory action of gelatin was explained in terms of adsorption of gelatin on the surface of Al or Al–Si alloys forming a barrier of mass and charge transfer leading to protect the metal surface from the aggressive ones. The adsorption of gelatin on the metal surface follows Freundlich isotherm. Some activated thermodynamic parameters were calculated and discussed.  相似文献

Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) has been widely used in the study of corrosion processes and data interpretation is often via simple equivalent circuits. However, such circuits often can not be used to model real EIS data obtained with film covered or corroded steel electrodes in near-neutral solutions, especially when interrelation between the various components of the equivalent circuit is allowed for. Electrochemical impedance spectra have been obtained at the corrosion potential for a mild steel rotating disc electrode (RDE) in chloride solutions with addition of zinc-polyphosphate inhibitor, which show clear evidence of mass transport through a porous layer. In addition, d.c. measurements show very low values of the steady state diffusion current, a significant effect of rotation speed of the RDE on the anodic reaction and evidence that the layer properties depend on the stirring conditions. Analysis of the impedance spectra with a general model previously proposed provides evidence that due to film-limited mass transfer the anodic reaction becomes reversible.  相似文献

The electrochemical behavior of Cu-Ni alloys in acidic chloride medium was investigated. Commercial Cu-Ni alloys were investigated using potentiodynamic techniques, complemented by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The influence of alloy composition, chloride ion concentration and immersion time on the electrochemical response of the alloys was analyzed. Results of present investigations with pure metals (Cu and Ni) are also considered in this paper for the sake of comparison. Potentiodynamic measurements reveal that the increase in nickel content decreases the corrosion rate of the alloy and when the nickel content exceeds 30%, an increase in the corrosion rate was recorded. Also, the corrosion current density increases with increasing the concentration of chloride ions up to 0.6 M.The experimental impedance data were fitted to an equivalent circuit model representing the electrode/electrolyte interface. The relevance of the proposed model to the corrosion/passivation phenomena occurring at the electrode/solution interface was discussed.  相似文献

用失重、线性电位扫描、交流阻抗、恒流放电等多种方法研究了AZ镁合金在1.0 mol/L Mg(ClO4)2溶液中的电化学行为,考察了它们作为镁电池负极材料的性能。浸泡与伏安实验结果表明,AZ21的自腐蚀比AZ31和AZ61严重;AZ21和AZ31的电化学活性优于AZ61,表现为阳极极化小,开路电位负。交流阻抗结果表明AZ21、AZ31、AZ61的Rct值逐渐增加。恒电流放电发现,AZ31的放电电位负且稳定;电流效率为82%,高于AZ21和AZ61;滞后时间2 s,小于AZ21和AZ61。可望用于Mg电池。  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, the influence of the tin content on the corrosion behaviour of copper alloys was investigated. Three different bicomponent bronze alloys were exposed to a natural urban environment. The kinetic corrosion processes and the patina properties were monitored using the open circuit potential, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and spectrocolorimetry. Results show that the bronze corrosion behaviour improves upon increasing the tin content. In addition, the mechanism of the patina formation is different for the three alloys.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to investigate the corrosion behaviour of three ZrTi alloys (denoted with Zr5Ti, Zr25Ti, and Zr45Ti) in 0.9% NaCl solution. For comparison, cp‐Ti was also investigated. In order to study the localized corrosion resistance and corrosion behavior at open circuit potential versus time, the open circuit potential (EOC) was recorded, and the cyclic potentiodynamic polarization (CPP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were performed. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations were made following the CPP tests. The Zr5Ti alloy was the most susceptible to localized corrosion. The Zr25Ti alloy presents a dangerous breakdown potential but have a sufficiently negative zero corrosion potential that the difference between them is sufficiently to provide a higher localized corrosion resistance in comparison with Zr5Ti. Among ZrTi alloys subjected to investigation, the Zr45Ti alloy had a much larger passive range in the polarization curve and was the most resistant to localized corrosion. For used test conditions, the localized corrosion was not found for the cp‐Ti. The EIS tests show that both investigated ZrTi alloys and cp‐Ti exhibit passivity after 168 h immersion in 0.9% NaCl solution, at open circuit potential.  相似文献

The corrosion behavior and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) features of 8090 AI-Li alloys in EXCO solution were investigated, and the EIS was simulated using an equivalent circuit. At the beginning of immersion in EXCO solution, the EIS is comprised by a depressed capacitive arc at high-mediate frequency and an inductivearc at low frequency, and the inductive component decreases and disappears with immersion time. Once exfoliation or severe pitting corrosion is produced, two capacitive arcs appear in the EIS. These two capacitive arcs are originated from the two parts of the corroded aUoy surface, the original flat alloy surface and the new inter-face exposed to the aggressive EXCO solution due to the exfoliation or pitting corrosion.Some corrosion development features of 8090 AI-Li alloys in EXCO solution can be obtained through simulated EIS information.  相似文献

Potentiodynamic anodic polarisation and dynamic electrochemical impedance spectroscopic (DEIS) measurements were carried out for 316L SS, alloy 33 and alloy 24 in natural sea water in order to assess their crevice corrosion resistance. DEIS measurements were performed from open circuit potential to dissolution potential. It was shown that the impedance measurements in potentiodynamic conditions allow simultaneous investigation of changes in passive layer structure. The impedance spectra of various potential regions were also discussed. The surface morphology of the alloys after crevice corrosion studies were studied using optical microscope and atomic force microscopy (AFM).  相似文献
