The structure of undoped and europium-doped ZnGa2Se4 has been studied, and the interplanar spacings, the Miller indices of the observed reflections, and their relative intensities have been determined. The photoluminescence spectra of ZnGa2Se4 and ZnGa2Se4:Eu2+ crystals have been measured at temperatures from 77 to 230 K. The 566-nm band in the spectrum of ZnGa2Se4:Eu2+ is assigned to the Eu2+4f 65d→4f 7(8 S 7/2) electronic transition, and the bands at 591 and 646 nm are attributed to transitions of donor-acceptor pairs.  相似文献

The luminescence properties of Sm3+ ions in YAl3B4O12 were studied upon synchrotron excitation in the 3.8–11 eV region. In addition to the 4f → 4f excitation bands, the excitation spectra of the Sm3+ emission contain broad bands at 6.1 and ~7.0 eV. These bands are attributed to charge transfer transition in Sm3+–O2− complexes and 4f → 5d transition of Sm3+ ions, respectively. The optical absorption edge of YAl3B4O12 was determined at 7.3 eV. A comparison with the results of electronic structure calculations on YAl3B4O12 is also made.  相似文献

In this research, we reported the synthesis of Eu2+ and Dy3+ co-doped SrAl2O4 phosphor nanopowders with high brightness and long afterglow by urea-nitrate solution combustion synthesis (SCS) at 600 °C, followed by heating the resultant combustion ash at 1,200 °C in a weak reductive atmosphere (5% H2 + 95% N2). The broad-band UV-excited luminescence of the SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+ nanopowders was observed at λ max = 517 nm due to transitions from the 4f65d1 to the 4f7 configuration of the emission center (Eu2+ ions). The excitation spectra consist of 240- and 254 nm broad peaks. Finally, it was found that the optimum ratio of urea is 2.5 times higher than theoretical quantities for the best emission condition of SrAl2O4: Eu2+, Dy3+ phosphor nanopowders.  相似文献

Synthesis, X-ray diffraction, and photoluminescence (PL) investigations of SrZnO2 doped with Eu3+ were carried out in order to characterize the material. The emission spectra showed a broad band emission at 525 nm attributed to oxygen defect centers in the host matrix, along with peaks corresponding to the 5D0 → 7F j (j = 1, 2) transitions of Eu ion under 250 nm excitation. PL decay time studies were done to confirm these investigations. Time-resolved emission spectrometric (TRES) study was carried out to extract the emission spectra of the Eu ion which was buried under the broad band emission. After giving suitable delay times and by choosing a proper time gate, transitions due to 5D0 → 7F j (j = 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4) could be observed. Judd–Ofelt intensity parameters and other radiative properties for the system were evaluated from this emission spectrum and decay time data by adopting standard procedure. The color coordinates of the system were also evaluated and plotted on a standard CIE index diagram. The observations showed that the SrZnO2:Eu3+material has near white light emission (also considering the emission from host) whereas, the extracted emission spectrum due to only Eu ions has a near red emission.  相似文献

We have studied the optical absorption and luminescence spectra of 45Na2O · xNb2O5 · (55 − x)P2O5 glasses containing 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, and 35 mol % Nb2O5. The results indicate that the absorption band around 26000 cm−1, responsible for the yellow color of the glasses, is due to the [Nb(5+)--O] center and disappears upon secondary heat treatment. Heat treatment of europium-doped glasses increases the concentration of Eu3+ centers in an asymmetric environment, which is accompanied by an increase in luminescence efficiency. The reason for this is that the Eu3+ ions are located outside the niobate subsystem of the glass matrix. The europium in the glasses studied acts as a protector ion.  相似文献

Eu3+ activated CaSiO3, (Ca, Ba) SiO3 and (Ca, Sr) SiO3 have been prepared by sol-gel technique. Residual solvent and organic contents in the gel were removed by firing at 100°C for 3–4 h at 300 and 600°C for 2 h. Small exothermic shoulder around 850 to 875°C, as observed in DTA curve, corresponds to crystallization temperature of the doped calcium silicate. Influence of firing temperature on the luminescence of Eu3+ shows the maximum emission intensity in gel fired at 850°C. Photoluminescence emission peak is observed at 614 nm due to5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ ion in (Ca, Ba) SiO3 and (Ca, Sr) SiO3 phosphors, when excited by 254 nm. The (Ca, Ba) SiO3 material is proposed as an efficient red phosphor.  相似文献

Ce3+ doped SrZn2(PO4)2 was prepared by high temperature solid-state reaction. The phosphor was investigated by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscope, and FT-IR measurements. Spectroscopic properties of the phosphor were characterized by vacuum ultraviolet spectroscopy. According to the excitation spectrum, the five 5d levels corresponding to the 4f 1 → 4f 05d 1 transitions of Ce3+ ions were clearly identified. The observed excitation bands in the VUV region are due to the PO43− anion groups of the host, in which energy transfer to Ce3+ ions is rather efficient. The emission bands corresponding to the 4f 1 → 4f 05d 1 transitions of Ce3+ ions were analyzed. The barycenter of Ce3+ ions, host absorption bands, crystal field splitting, emission wavelength and Stokes shift were calculated and discussed.  相似文献

LiEu1−x (W2−y Mo y )O8:xBi3+ series red-emitting phosphors were synthesized by solid state reaction. The structure, morphology, and photoluminescent properties of phosphors were studied by X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and photoluminescence spectrum, respectively. X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that the as-obtained phosphors belong to the scheelite structure. The average particle size of the investigated phosphor was about 8 μm. The excitation spectrum exhibits a charge-transfer broad band along with some sharp peaks from the typical 4f–4f transitions of Eu3+. Under excitation of UV, near-UV, or blue light, these phosphors showed strong red emission at 615 nm due to 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+. The incorporation of Mo6+ into LiEuW2O8:Bi3+ could induce red-shift of the charge-transfer broad band and a remarkable increase of photoluminescence. The highest red-emission intensity was observed with LiEu0.80Mo2O8:0.20Bi3+. Compared with the commercial red-emitting phosphor, Y2O2S:Eu3+, the emission intensity of LiEu0.80Mo2O8:0.20Bi3+ phosphor is much stronger than that of Y2O2S:Eu3+ and its chromaticity coordinates are closer to the standard values than that of the commercial phosphor. The optical properties of LiEu0.80Mo2O8:0.20Bi3+ phosphor make it attractive for the application in white-light-emitting diodes (LEDs), in particular for near-UV InGaN-based white-LEDs.  相似文献

BaAl2O4:Eu2+,RE3+ (RE3+=Y, Pr) down conversion nanophosphors were prepared at 600 °C by a rapid gel combustion technique in presence of air using boron as flux and urea as a fuel. A comparative study of the prepared materials was carried out with and without the addition of boric acid. The boric acid was playing the important role of flux and reducer simultaneously. The peaks available in the XPS spectra of BaAl2O4:Eu2+ at 1126.5 and 1154.8 eV was ascribed to Eu2+(3d 5/2) and Eu2+(3d 3/2) respectively which confirmed the presence of Eu2+ ion in the prepared lattice. Morphology of phosphors was characterized by tunneling electron microscopy. XRD patterns revealed a dominant phase characteristics of hexagonal BaAl2O4 compound and the presence of dopants having unrecognizable effects on basic crystal structure of BaAl2O4. The addition of boric acid showed a remarkable change in luminescence properties and crystal size of nanophosphors. The emission spectra of phosphors had a broad band with maximum at 490–495 nm due to electron transition from 4f 65d 1 → 4f 7 of Eu2+ ion. The codoping of the rare earth (RE3+=Y, Pr) ions help in the enhancement of their luminescent properties. The prepared phosphors had brilliant optoelectronic properties that can be properly used for solid state display device applications.  相似文献

The luminescence spectra of LiY1 − x Eux(MoO4)2 (x = 0.0005, 0.001, 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1) scheelite solid solutions are measured under laser excitation at 337.1 nm. The effect of Eu3+ concentration on the luminescence behavior of the solid solutions is examined. The highest integrated emission intensity is offered by LiY0.5Eu0.5(MoO4)2. Eu3+ substitution for Y3+ has no effect on the symmetry of the emission centers involved. Eu3+ is shown to occupy only one site in the structure of the solid solutions. X-ray diffraction and luminescence data indicate that all of the solid solutions have an undistorted scheelite structure.__________Translated from Neorganicheskie Materialy, Vol. 41, No. 7, 2005, pp. 871–875.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2005 by Zaushitsyn, Mikhailin, Romanenko, Khaikina, Basovich, Morozov, Lazoryak.  相似文献

The photoluminescence (PL) spectra and Eu2+ excited state lifetime of EuGa2S4 and EuGa2S4:Er3+ have been studied in the range 78–500 K. The spectra show a band at 545 nm, due to the 4f 65d → 4f 7(8 S 7/2) transition. With increasing temperature, the full width at half maximum Γ(T) of the PL band of EuGa2S4 and EuGa2S4:Er3+ crystals increases from 0.15 to 0.22 and from 0.13 to 0.19 eV, respectively. Over the entire temperature range studied, Γ(T) is a linear function of T 1/2. The 545-nm emission intensity and Eu2+ excited state lifetime in EuGa2S4 and EuGa2S4:Er3+ vary exponentially with temperature. The luminescence quenching energies evaluated from the Arrhenius plots of I(103/T) and τ(103/T) coincide (0.10 eV) within the error of determination.  相似文献

A new series of Eu3+ ions-activated calcium gadolinium tungstate [Ca2Gd2W3O14] phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method. The X-ray diffraction patterns of the powder samples indicate that the Eu3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 phosphors are of tetragonal structure. The prepared phosphors were well characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), photoluminescence (PL), and mechanoluminescence (ML) spectra. PL spectra of Eu3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 powder phosphors have shown strong red emission at 615 nm (5D0 → 7F2) with an excitation wavelength λ exci = 392 nm (7F0 → 5L6). The energy transfer from tungstate groups to europium ions has also reported. Mechanoluminescence studies of Eu3+: Ca2Gd2W3O14 phosphors have also been explained systematically.  相似文献

A new efficient phosphor, Eu2+/Eu3+ and Ce3+ activated Na2Zn5(PO4)4 has been synthesized by solid-state reaction technique at high temperature. X-ray powder diffraction analysis confirmed the formation of Na2Zn5(PO4)4 host lattice. Scanning electron microscopy indicated that the microstructure of the phosphor consisted of irregular fine grains with a size of about 0·5–2 μm. Photoluminescence excitation spectrum measurements of Ce3+ activated Na2Zn5(PO4)4 show that the phosphor can be efficiently excited by UV-Vis light from 280 to 310 nm to realize emission in the visible (blue) range due to the 5d-4f transition of Ce3+ ions which is applicable for scintillation purpose, whereas Eu2+/Eu3+ activated Na2Zn5(PO4)4 phosphor emits blue, green and red emission spectrum shows at 487 nm, 546 nm with a dominant peak at 611 nm respectively, due to Eu2+/Eu3+ ions which is promising candidate for solid state lighting. Therefore, newly synthesised, by low cost and easy technique prepared, novel phosphors may be useful as RGB phosphor for solid state lighting application.  相似文献

Ba2LaV3O11:Eu3+ phosphors were firstly synthesized by the traditional solid-state reaction method at 1100 °C. Their luminescence properties were investigated by photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra. The excitation spectrum shows a broad band centered at about 275 nm in the region from 200 to 370 nm, which is attributed to an overlap of the charge transfer transitions of O2??→?V5+ and O2??→?Eu3+. The phosphors exhibit the red emissions of Eu3+ and the emission intensity ratio of 5D0?→?7F2 to 5D0?→?7F1 is dependent on the Eu3+ concentration due to an environment change about Eu3+ ions. Concentration quenching occurs at 30 mol% in the phosphors and exchange interaction is its main mechanism. Ba2LaV3O11:Eu3+ displays tunable CIE color coordinates from yellow orange to red depended on Eu3+ content, which may have a potential application for illuminating and display devices.  相似文献

We have identified general relationships between the spectral and kinetic properties of the IR Stokes luminescence bands of Y1 − xy Nd x Pr y PO4 solid solutions in the spectral range 0.86–1.40 μm under 0.810-μm laser excitation. The results have been used to formulate technical requirements for the purity of rare-earth oxides for the fabrication of efficient YPO4:Nd3+ IR phosphors and to develop a fast YPO4:Nd3+, Pr3+ IR phosphor that allows the decay time of the Nd3+ IR Stokes luminescence bands in the range 0.86–1.40 μm to be tuned from 50 to 170 μs by varying the ratio of the Nd3+ and Pr3+ concentrations.  相似文献

The SrLa2?xO4:xEu3+ phosphors are synthesized through high-temperature solid-state reaction method at 1473 K with various doping concentration. Their phase structures, absorption spectra, and luminescence properties are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV–Vis spectrophotometer and photoluminescence spectrometry. The intense absorption of SrLa2?xO4:xEu3+ phosphors have occurred around 400 nm. The prominent luminescence spectra of the prepared phosphors exhibited bright red emission at 626 nm. The doping concentration 0.12 mol% of Eu3+ is shown to be optimal for prominent red emission and chromaticity coordinates are x?=?0.692, y?=?0.3072. Considering the high colour purity and appropriate emission intensity of Eu3+ doped SrLa2O4 can be used as red phosphors for white light emitting diodes (WLEDs).  相似文献

Monodispersed spheres (1–4 μm in diameter) of BaWO4:Eu3+ (hereafter BWO:Eu) red-phosphor exhibiting intense emission at 615 nm were synthesized via a mild hydrothermal method. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope, photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, and decay curve were used to characterize the properties of BWO:Eu phosphors. An intense red emission was obtained by exciting either into the 5L6 state with 394 nm or the 5D2 state with 465 nm, that correspond to two popular emission lines from near-UV and blue LED chips, respectively. The values of Ω 2,4 experimental intensity parameters (13.8 × 10−20 and 8.2 × 10−20 cm2) are determined. The high-emission quantum efficiency of the BWO:Eu phosphor suggests this material could be promising red phosphors for generating white light in phosphor-converted white light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

The heat capacity C p 0 of crystalline NaZr2(AsO4)3 has been measured in the range 7–650 K using precision adiabatic calorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. The experimental data have been used to calculate the standard thermodynamic functions of the arsenate: C p 0, enthalpy H 0(T) − H 0(0), entropy S 0(T), and Gibbs function G 0(T) − H 0(0) from T → 0 to 650 K. The standard entropy of its formation from elements is Δf S 0(NaZr2(AsO4)3, cr, 298.15 K) = −1087 ± 1 J/(mol K).  相似文献

Er3+ and Er3+ : Yb3+ doped optical quality, crack and bubble free glasses for possible use in making laser material have been prepared successfully through sol-gel route. The thermal and optical, including UV-visible absorption, FTIR etc characterizations were undertaken on the samples. The absorption characteristics of Er3+ doped samples clearly revealed the absorption due to Er3+ ions. On the other hand Yb3+ : Er3+ doped samples showed enhanced absorption due to2 F 7/22 F 5/2 transition. The absorption and emission cross-section for2 F 7/22 F 5/2 of Yb3+ were estimated. FTIR absorption spectra have clearly shown the reduction of the absorption peak intensity with heat treatment in the range 3700–2900 cm−1. The 960 cm-1 band also showed progressive decrease in the absorption band peak intensity with heat treatment. The result of the investigations with essential discussions and conclusions have been reported in this paper.  相似文献

A novel blue-emitting phosphor NaBa0.98Eu0.02PO4 was synthesized by conventional solid state reaction, and it exhibits efficient blue emission under near-ultraviolet (n-UV) excitation. The emission spectrum shows a single band centered at about 440 nm, which corresponds to the 4f65d1-4f7 transition of Eu2+. The excitation spectrum is a broad band in the wavelength range between 200 and 450 nm, which can match the emission of white light emitting diodes (LEDs) by the method of n-UV conversion. The Ca2+, Sr2+ and Mg2+ were co-doped into NaBa0.98Eu0.02PO4 respectively. Special attention was paid to the sample co-doped with Ca2+ that could possess a higher luminous efficacy than the analogs co-doped with Sr2+ and Mg2+. With the co-doping of Ca2+, the enhanced intensity of the excitation and emission band appears. The optimum co-doping concentration of Ca2+ is 7 mol.%. The emission intensity of NaBa0.91Ca0.07Eu0.02PO4 phosphoris about 1.68 times than that of NaBa0.98Eu0.02PO4 phosphor. The as-prepared phosphors are the potential blue phosphors for application in white LEDs.  相似文献
