The single phase induction motors needs two stator windings to produce rotating magnetic field : one main winding and the other auxiliary winding. The aim of the auxiliary winding is to create the rotating electromagnetic field when the machine is started-up and is afterwards turned off, generally through the centrifugal switch coupled together with the shaft of the machine rotor. The main purpose of this document is to evaluate the influence that the two windings have on the external characteristics of the single phase induction motor . For this purpose , two different kinds of windings were carried out and simulated, with the proposal to obtain some benefits. The main winding and the auxiliary winding were prepared and mounted on a prototype. The simulation was done via software based FEM , to make the extraction and results analysis possible. In this paper, a flux search controller is proposed to increase the efficiency of a direct torque-controlled induction motor in full load range. The value of the flux reference is determined through a minimization algorithm. The amplitude of stator current is used as the objective function since it is shown that samples of the stator current have better statistical properties than input power. In addition, the stator current has more sensitivity to the flux variation than input power. These two properties allow implementing an adaptive algorithm to determine the proper flux step without waste of time. The minimum allowable value of the flux step has been determined based on this process to prevent the divergence problem. This adaptive algorithm set a large flux step for transient state to speed up the convergence process and a small flux step for steady state to minimize the flux ripple. Simulation and experimental results presented in this paper confirm the fast dynamic of the proposed method. 相似文献

针对传统多位分布式MEMS传输线(DMTL)移相器需要多个偏置电压控制的问题,提出了一种单电压控制多位DMTL移相器的设计方案。这种移相器的每一位具有不同的弹性系数,因此它们的下拉电压各不相同。给出了这种移相器的相关理论、设计实例及仿真结果。通过仿真结果可知,单偏置电压3位DMTL移相器低位到高位的下拉电压分别为19.73,40.49和74.89 V,低位发生下拉时高位相移偏移小于0.062%(10 GHz,2.925×10-4 rad)。单偏置电压4位DMTL移相器低位到高位的下拉电压分别为19.73,32.55,48.41和74.89 V,低位发生下拉时高位相移偏移小于0.094%(10 GHz,4.425×10-4 rad)。 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a nonlinear adaptive controller and an adaptive backstepping controller for linear induction motors to achieve position tracking. A nonlinear transformation is proposed to facilitate controller design. In addition, the very unique end effect of the linear induction motor is also considered and is well taken care of in our controller design. We also consider the effect of friction dynamics and employ observer-based compensation to cope with the friction force. A stability analysis based on Lyapunov theory is also performed to guarantee that the controller design here can stabilize the system. Also, the computer simulations and experiments are conducted to demonstrate the performance of our various controller design. 相似文献

Current source inverter (CSI) is an attractive solution in high-power drives. The conventional gate turn-off thyristor (GTO) based CSI-fed induction motor drives suffer from drawbacks such as low-frequency torque pulsation, harmonic heating, and unstable operation at low-speed ranges. These drawbacks can be overcome by connecting a current-controlled voltage source inverter (VSI) across the motor terminal replacing the bulky ac capacitors. The VSI provides the harmonic currents, which results in sinusoidal motor voltage and current even with the CSI switching at fundamental frequency. This paper proposes a CSI-fed induction motor drive scheme where GTOs are replaced by thyristors in the CSI without any external circuit to assist the turning off of the thyristors. Here, the current-controlled VSI, connected in shunt, is designed to supply the volt ampere reactive requirement of the induction motor, and the CSI is made to operate in leading power factor mode such that the thyristors in the CSI are autosequentially turned off. The resulting drive will be able to feed medium-voltage, high-power induction motors directly. A sensorless vector-controlled CSI drive based on the proposed configuration is developed. The experimental results from a 5 hp prototype are presented. Experimental results show that the proposed drive has stable operation throughout the operating range of speeds. 相似文献

This paper applies stochastic theory to the design and implementation of field-oriented control of an induction motor drive using a single field-programmable gate array (FPGA) device and integrated neural network (NN) algorithms. Normally, NNs are characterized as heavily parallel calculation algorithms that employ enormous computational resources and are less useful for economical digital hardware implementations. A stochastic NN structure is proposed in this paper for an FPGA implementation of a feedforward NN to estimate the feedback signals in an induction motor drive. The stochastic arithmetic simplifies the computational elements of the NN and significantly reduces the number of logic gates required for the proposed NN estimator. A new stochastic proportional-integral speed controller is also developed with antiwindup functionality. Compared with conventional digital controls for motor drives, the proposed stochastic-based algorithm enhances the arithmetic operations of the FPGA, saves digital resources, and permits the NN algorithms and classical control algorithms to be easily interfaced and implemented on a single low-complexity, inexpensive FPGA. The algorithm has been realized using a single FPGA XC3S400 from Xilinx, Inc. A hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) test platform using a Real Time Digital Simulator is built in the laboratory. This paper develops a novel pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy for application in uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and ac motor drive systems. The voltage/current harmonic spectra and other properties of this PWM scheme are thoroughly investigated. This modulation strategy is compared with other modulation techniques, especially with the commonly used sinusoidal modulation scheme, from the standpoints of simplicity, inverter switching losses, motor losses, and other output performance features. This novel modulation scheme produces an acceptable motor curent waveform while keeping the number of inverter commutations low. The single-chip microcomputer MC68701-based inverter gating system is proposed in this paper. The three-phase converter and inverter gatings occur independently and the current source inverter-fed induction motor controller with voltage feedback is also implemented in a single microprocessor. The accuracy of gating is about 1 deg in converter delay angle at line frequency 60 Hz and 0.19 percent in inverter frequency at output frequency 60 Hz.
