VAX/LSI-11/CAMAC Nuclear Data Acquisition System under Development at the W.k. Kellogg Radiation Laboratory, Caltech

A CAMAC data acquisition system is currently under development at the W.K. Kellogg Radiation Laboratory which utilizes LSI-11 crate controllers and a 250 Kbyte/sec 7-computer Q-bus DMA network. The central network computer is a VAX 11/750 with Unibus and Q-bus adaptors. Processing is distributed between the LSI-11s and the VAX as required to meet input-output and event processing speeds needed by the experiment. Use of the Q-bus on all machines allows CAMAC controllers and tape drives to be moved as needed between the LSI-11s and the VAX.

本文对一套基于ARM的嵌入式数据采集系统的设计与实现作了介绍,该数据采集系统不仅能作用于温湿度等常规信号,而且能对核脉冲等快速变化的信号进行采集和处理.系统以S3C44BOX01为核心控制单元,加上ADS774的模数(A/D)转换功能,能够保持在较低功耗下实现对外来信号进行快速精确地获取.     

γ相机交互式图像分析软件系统

本文概略介绍了我们研制的GCCS—89γ相机交互式图像分析系统。它包括系统管理、数据管理、设备管理和临床应用软件等几个部分。由于充分使用了模块化设计方法,系统有较大的灵活性,非常有利于系统的修改和维护。本系统临床程序十分丰富,可以满足不同医院的要求。     

A VAX Based Data Acquisition Computer System at the Nuclear Structure Research Laboratory

The Nuclear Structure Research Laboratory at the University of Rochester is developing a VAX-11/750 computer system for use in a data acquisition and analysis system. The system consists of the VAX which is networked to two LSI-11/23's which are in turn connected to CAMAC branch drivers. The CAMAC branch drivers operate both parallel and 5 MHz byte-serial highways. The network is a high speed DMA interface and is identical to the system implemented at the W.K. Kellogg Radiation Laboratory[l]. The data acquisition system has been designed to allow the user to select standard program modules as building blocks to construct a system to suit the particular needs of the experiment. The division of the realtime analysis between the VAX and the LSI-11s is flexible. The LSI-11s are equipped with small array processors tlo permit high speed analysis on the satellite processors.     

Description and Performance of a VAX 11/750 - MBD Computer System at the University of Manitoba Cyclotron Laboratory

A data acquisition and analysis facility based on a VAX 11/750 computer interfaced to a CAMAC crate via a MBD-11 Branch Driver is described. Factors influencing the choice of the system and problems resulting from the specific choices, along with their resolution, are discussed. Finally, some performance figures for the data acquisition software, as well as an example of the type and complexity of the experiments which can be performed with the facility, are provided.     

An integrated data acquisition and analysis system at GSI

The GOOSY data acquisition and analysis system has been extended to handle experimental setups and data from heavy-ion experiments at high energies. A front-end system has been designed and built. It is a VME-based multiprocessor system connected to CAMAC and FASTBUS by a standard VME subsystem bus. The system allows preanalysis and filtering of the raw data. The architecture of the system is presented, and a status report is given. Particular attention is given to integration of the front-end processors, event processing in the front-end system, and the VME network processor. Event data transfer from VME to VAX, test procedures, experimental setup control, and software used for the VME processors are briefly considered

Real Time Global Tests of the ALICE High Level Trigger Data Transport Framework

The High Level Trigger (HLT) system of the ALICE experiment is an online event filter and trigger system designed for input bandwidths of up to 25 GB/s at event rates of up to 1 kHz. The system is designed as a scalable PC cluster, implementing several hundred nodes. The transport of data in the system is handled by an object-oriented data flow framework operating on the basis of the publisher-subscriber principle, being designed fully pipelined with lowest processing overhead and communication latency in the cluster. In this paper, we report the latest measurements where this framework has been operated on five different sites over a global north-south link extending more than 10,000 km, processing a ldquoreal-timerdquo data flow.     

利用PC/Linux处理BES实验数据的可行性研究及PC/Linux在BES粲介子物理研究中的应用

简要地介绍了利用ＰＣ／Ｌｉｎｕｘ实现对北京谱仪（ＢＥＳ）数据的离线重建、蒙特卡罗数据的产生和探测器模拟的可行性研究结果及ＰＣ／Ｌｉｎｕｘ在Ｄ／Ｄｓ物理研究等方面的应用情况,并就ＰＣ／Ｌｉｎｕｘ和ＨＰ工作站对ＢＥＳ数据的处理能力及处理结果的一致性进行了详细的比较。结果表明,ＰＣ／Ｌｉｎｕｘ完全可以用于北京谱仪数据的离线处理和物理分析工作,并在运算速度和价格上占有很大的优势。
