A new type of Li1−xFe0.8Ni0.2O2–LixMnO2 (Mn/(Fe + Ni + Mn) = 0.8) material was synthesized at 350 °C in air atmosphere using a solid-state reaction. The material had an XRD pattern that closely resembled that of the original Li1−xFeO2–LixMnO2 (Mn/(Fe + Mn) = 0.8) with much reduced impurity peaks. The Li/Li1−xFe0.8Ni0.2O2–LixMnO2 cell showed a high initial discharge capacity above 192 mAh g−1, which was higher than that of the parent Li/Li1−xFeO2–LixMnO2 (186 mAh g−1). We expected that the increase of initial discharge capacity and the change of shape of discharge curve for the Li/Li1−xFe0.8Ni0.2O2–LixMnO2 cell is the result from the redox reaction from Ni2+ to Ni3+ during charge/discharge process. This cell exhibited not only a typical voltage plateau in the 2.8 V region, but also an excellent cycle retention rate (96%) up to 45 cycles.  相似文献

The high voltage layered Li[Li0.2Mn0.56Ni0.16Co0.08]O2 cathode material, which is a solid solution between Li2MnO3 and LiMn0.4Ni0.4Co0.2O2, has been synthesized by co-precipitation method followed by high temperature annealing at 900 °C. XRD and SEM characterizations proved that the as prepared powder is constituted of small and homogenous particles (100-300 nm), which are seen to enhance the material rate capability. After the initial decay, no obvious capacity fading was observed when cycling the material at different rates. Steady-state reversible capacities of 220 mAh g−1 at 0.2C, 190 mAh g−1 at 1C, 155 mAh g−1 at 5C and 110 mAh g−1 at 20C were achieved in long-term cycle tests within the voltage cutoff limits of 2.5 and 4.8 V at 20 °C.  相似文献

A nanocrystalline Li4Ti5O12-TiO2 duplex phase has been synthesized by a simple basic molten salt process (BMSP) using an eutectic mixture of LiNO3-LiOH-Li2O2 at 400-500 °C. The microstructure and morphology of the Li4Ti5O12-TiO2 product are characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The sample prepared by heat-treating at 300 °C for 3 h (S-1) reveals dense agglomerates of ultra-fine nanocrystalline Li4Ti5O12; with heat treatment at 400 °C for 3 h (S-2), there is a duplex crystallite size (fine < 10 nm, and coarse > 20 nm) of Li4Ti5O12-TiO2; at 500 °C for 3 h (S-3), a much coarser and less-dense distribution of lithium titanate (crystallite size ∼15-30 nm) is observed. According to the results of electrochemical testing, the S-2 sample shows initial discharge capacities of 193 mAh g−1 at 0.2 C, 168 mAh g−1 at 0.5 C, 146 mAh g−1 at 1 C, 135 mAh g−1 at 2 C, and 117 mAh g−1 at 5 C. After 100 cycles, the discharge capacity is 138 mAh g−1 at 1 C with a capacity retention of 95%. The S-2 sample yields the best electrochemical performance in terms of charge-discharge capacity and rate capability compared with other samples. Its superior electrochemical performance can be mainly attributed to the duplex crystallite structure, composed of fine (<10 nm) and coarse (>20) nm nanoparticles, where lithium ions can be stored within the grain boundary interfaces between the spinel Li4Ti5O12 and the anatase TiO2.  相似文献

Cl-doped LiFePO4/C cathode materials were synthesized through a carbothermal reduction route, and the microstructure and electrochemical performances were systematically studied. Cl-doped LiFePO4/C cathode materials presented a high discharge capacity of ∼90 mAh g−1 at the rate of 20 C (3400 mA g−1) at room temperature. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltamperometry indicated the optimized electrochemical reaction and Li+ diffusion in the bulk of LiFePO4 due to Cl-doping. The improved Li+ diffusion capability is attributed to the microstructure modification of LiFePO4 via Cl-doping.  相似文献

Olivine-type LiFePO4 cathode materials were synthesized by a solid-state reaction method and ball-milling. The ball-milling time, heating time and heating temperature are optimized. A heating temperature higher than 700 °C resulted in the appearance of impurity phase Fe2P and growth of large particle, which was shown by high resolution X-ray diffraction and field emission scanning electron microscopy. The impurity phase Fe2P exhibited a considerable capacity loss at the 1st cycle and a gradual increase in discharge capacity upon cycling. Moreover, it exhibited an excellent high-rate capacity of 104 mAh g−1 at 3 C in spite of the large particle size. The optimum synthesis conditions for LiFePO4 were ball-milling for 24 h and heat-treatment at 600 °C for 3 h. LiFePO4/Li cells showed an enhanced cycling performance and a high discharge capacity of 160 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C.  相似文献

V-doped LiFePO4/C cathode materials were prepared through a carbothermal reduction route. The microstructure was characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The electrochemical Li+ intercalation performances of V-doped LiFePO4/C were compared with those of undoped one through galvanostatic intermittent titration technique, cyclic voltamperometry, and electrochemical impedance spectrum. V-doped LiFePO4/C showed a high discharge capacity of ∼70 mAh g−1 at the rate of 20 C (3400 mA g−1) at room temperature. The significantly improved high-rate charge/discharge capacity is attributed to the increase of Li+ ion “effective” diffusion capability.  相似文献

LiFePO4, olivine-type LiFe0.9Mn0.1PO4/Fe2P composite was synthesized by mechanical alloying of carbon (acetylene back), M2O3 (M = Fe, Mn) and LiOH·H2O for 2 h followed by a short-time firing at 900 °C for only 30 min. By varying the carbon excess different amounts of Fe2P second phase was achieved. The short firing time prevented grain growth, improving the high-rate charge/discharge capacity. The electrochemical performance was tested at various C/x-rate. The discharge capacity at 1C rate was increased up to 120 mAh g−1 for the LiFe0.9Mn0.1PO4/Fe2P composite, while that of the unsubstituted LiFePO4/Fe2P and LiFePO4 showed only 110 and 60 mAh g−1, respectively. Electronic conductivity and ionic diffusion constant were measured. The LiFe0.9Mn0.1PO4/Fe2P composite showed higher conductivity and the highest diffusion coefficient (3.90 × 10−14 cm2 s−1). Thus the improvement of the electrochemical performance can be attributed to (1) higher electronic conductivity by the formation of conductive Fe2P together with (2) an increase of Li+ ion mobility obtained by the substitution of Mn2+ for Fe2+.  相似文献

Three different synthesis techniques (hydrothermal synthesis, modified Pechini synthesis and Pechini synthesis) were successfully used for preparation of Li2FeSiO4 samples. The obtained samples possess some differences in the morphology and in the particle size, as well as in the presence of in situ formed carbon. The best electrochemical performance has been obtained with the smallest particles embedded into carbon matrix. Such a Li2FeSiO4/C composite contains the highest amounts of impurities (Fe2O3, SiO2 and Li2SiO3) and only 68.8 at.% of iron is in the form of FeII as detected by Mössbauer spectroscopy, respectively. Despite the highest amount of impurities, the sample shows the highest reversible capacity (approximately 100 mAh g−1 based on whole silicate-derived material). With the proper structuring of Li2FeSiO4/C composites, utilisation of large part of capacity is also possible at current densities corresponding to C/5 and C/2 cycling rate. A lower amount of impurities was found in the samples that do not contain any in situ carbon after synthesis. Among them, the highest purity is possessed by the sample prepared at 900 °C, as determined using Mössbauer spectroscopy. The results obtained by Mössbauer spectroscopy and XRD analysis indicate on the differences in the crystal structure between the thermally treated samples and the sample prepared by hydrothermal synthesis.  相似文献

The spherical Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 powders with appropriate porosity, small particle size and good particle size distribution were successfully prepared by a slurry spray drying method. The Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 powders were characterized by XRD, SEM, ICP, BET, EIS and galvanostatic charge/discharge testing. The material calcined at 950 °C had the best electrochemical performance. Its initial discharge capacity was 188.9 mAh g−1 at the discharge rate of 0.2 C (32 mA g−1), and retained 91.4% of the capacity on going from 0.2 to 4 C rate. From the EIS result, it was found that the favorable electrochemical performance of the Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2 cathode material was primarily attributed to the particular morphology formed by the spray drying process which was favorable for the charge transfer during the deintercalation and intercalation cycling.  相似文献

Phospho-olivine LiFePO4 cathode materials were prepared by hydrothermal reaction at 150 °C. Carbon black was added to enhance the electrical conductivity of LiFePO4. LiFePO4-C powders (0, 3, 5 and 10 wt.%) were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). LiFePO4-C/solid polymer electrolyte (SPE)/Li cells were characterized electrochemically by charge/discharge experiments at a constant current density of 0.1 mA cm−2 in a range between 2.5 and 4.3 V vs. Li/Li+, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and ac impedance spectroscopy. The results showed that initial discharge capacity of LiFePO4 was 104 mAh g−1. The discharge capacity of LiFePO4-C/SPE/Li cell with 5 wt.% carbon black was 128 mAh g−1 at the first cycle and 127 mAh g−1 after 30 cycles, respectively. It was demonstrated that cycling performance of LiFePO4-C/SPE/Li cells was better than that of LiFePO4/SPE/Li cells.  相似文献

Single-phase lithium nickel manganese oxide, LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2, was successfully synthesized from a solid solution of Ni1.5Mn1.5O4 that was prepared by means of the solid reaction between Mn(CH3COO)2·4H2O and Ni(CH3COO)2·4H2O. XRD pattern shows that the product is well crystallized with a high degree of Li–M (Ni, Mn) order in their respective layers, and no diffraction peak of Li2MnO3 can be detected. Electrochemical performance of as-prepared LiNi0.5Mn0.5O2 was examined in the test battery by charge–discharge cycling with different rate, cyclic voltammetry (CV), and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The cycling behavior between 2.5 and 4.4 V at a current rate of 21.7 mA g−1 shows a reversible capacity of about 190 mAh g−1 with little capacity loss after 100 cycles. High-rate capability test shows that even at a rate of 6C, stable capacity about 120 mAh g−1 is retained. Cyclic voltammetry (CV) profile shows that the cathode material has better electrochemical reversibility. EIS analysis indicates that the resistance of charge transfer (Rct) is small in fully charged state at 4.4 V and fully discharged state at 2.5 V versus Li+/Li. The favorable electrochemical performance was primarily attributed to regular and stable crystal structure with little intra-layer disordering.  相似文献

Carbon-coated LiMn0.4Fe0.6PO4 composites (LiMn0.4Fe0.6PO4/C) were synthesized for use as cathode materials in lithium batteries. The composites were synthesized by a mechanical activation process that consists of high-energy ball milling for 10 h, followed by thermal treatment at different temperatures. The structure, particle size and surface morphology of these cathode active materials were investigated by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) analysis, energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), high-resolution Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM). The firing temperature was observed to affect morphology, particle size, elemental distribution, structure of the residual carbon, and consequently the electrochemical properties of the composites. LiMn0.4Fe0.6PO4/C synthesized at 600 °C possessed the most desirable properties and it exhibited the best performance when used as cathode in lithium batteries at room temperature. The cell, comprising cathode of this composite, exhibited the initial discharge capacities of 144.5 mAh g−1 (85.0% of theoretical capacity) and 122.0 mAh g−1 (71.8%), respectively, at 0.1 and 1 C-rates. The cathode showed good cycle stability without substantial capacity fade up to 50 cycles.  相似文献

A simple method has been employed to prepare pillared layered Li1−2xCaxCoO2 cathode materials by cationic exchange under hydrothermal conditions. The synthesized materials were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP-AES), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM) and galvanostatic charge–discharge cycling. The XRD data of the products show that they are single phases and retain the layered α-NaFeO2 type structure. The FE-SEM images of the materials prepared by hydrothermal method show uniform small particles, and the particle size of the materials is about 200 nm. The initial discharge specific capacities of layered LiCoO2 and pillared layered Li0.946Ca0.027CoO2 cathode materials calcined at 800 °C for 5 h within the potential range of 3.0–4.3 V (vs. Li+/Li) are 144.6 and 142.3 mAh g−1, respectively, and both materials retain good charge–discharge cycling performance. However, with increasing upper cutoff voltage, the pillar effect of Ca2+ in Li1−2xCaxCoO2 becomes more significant. The pillared layered Li0.946Ca0.027CoO2 has a higher capacity with an initial discharge specific capacity of 177.9 and 215.8 mAh g−1 within the potential range of 3.0–4.5 and 4.7 V (vs. Li+/Li), respectively, and retains good charge–discharge cycling performance.  相似文献

In this study a modified solid state synthesis (auto-ignition method) is used to form nanosized spinel type material LiMg0.05Ni0.45Mn1.5O4. This material presents a high voltage plateau at 4.75 V vs. Li/Li+. Structural and electrochemical characterisations have been performed using a wide range of techniques (TEM, neutron diffraction, galvanostatic measurements, and impedance spectroscopy). Besides, in situ XAS has been performed to monitor the evolution of Ni and Mn oxidation state during Li intercalation. The material presents an ordered cubic spinel structure, good capacity retention upon cycling (131 mAh g−1 at C/10 and 117 mAh g−1 at 1C) and good electronic conductivity (10−6 S cm−1 at RT). The simultaneous presence of Mn3+/Mn4+ in the structure has been investigated and explained by inclusion of disordered nanodomains in the structure.  相似文献

The cathode materials Li1−x[Ni0.5Mn1.5]O4 prepared by coprecipitation from acetate solution by oxalic acid and annealing at 900 °C in air had the preferred disordered Ni and Mn on the 16d octahedral sites of a spinel structure. The coprecipitation method provides better crystallinity than the phase previously obtained by quenching from the melt. Polycrystalline octahedral-shaped particles with smooth surfaces contained trace amounts of a LiyNi1−yO impurity that introduced some Mn(III) into the spinel phase. Half-cells cycled at 0.2 C rate between 3.5 and 4.8 V versus Li exhibited a flat voltage V ≈ 4.7 V with a small step at x ≈ 0.5 and a capacity at room temperature of 130 mAh g−1 that showed no fade after 50 cycles. A small capacity fade was initiated with a cut-off voltage ≥4.9 V; a significant capacity loss between 2 and 5 C cycling rates was reversible to 134 mAh g−1 on returning to 0.1 C after 50 cycles at 10 C between 3.5 and 5.0 V.  相似文献

Cathode materials prepared by a co-precipitation are 0.3Li2MnO3·0.7LiMn1−xNiyCo0.1O2 (0.2 ≤ x ≤ 0.4) cathode materials with a layered-spinel structure. In the voltage range of 2.0-4.6 V, the cathodes show more than one redox reaction peak during its cyclic voltammogram. The Li/0.3Li2MnO3·0.7LiMn1−xNiyCo0.1O2 (x = 0.3, y = 0.2) cell shows the initial discharge capacity of about 200 mAh g−1. However, when x = 0.2 and y = 0.1, the cell exhibits a rapid decrease in discharge capacity and poor cycle life.  相似文献

Needle-like TiO2(B) powder was obtained from K2Ti4O9 precursor by ion exchange to protons, followed by dehydration. The charge and discharge characteristics of the TiO2(B) powder were investigated as a high potential negative electrode in lithium-ion batteries. It had a high discharge capacity of 200–250 mAh g−1 at around 1.6 V vs. Li/Li+, which was comparable with that of TiO2(B) nanowires and nanotubes prepared via a hydrothermal reaction in alkaline solution. It showed very good cycleability, and gave a discharge capacity of 170 mAh g−1 even in the 650th cycle. It also had a high rate capability, and gave a discharge capacity of 106 mAh g−1 even at 10 °C.  相似文献

Layer-structured Zr doped Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1−x/3Zrx/3]O2 (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.05) were synthesized via slurry spray drying method. The powders were characterized by XRD, SEM and galvanostatic charge/discharge tests. The products remained single-phase within the range of 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.03. The charge and discharge cycling of the cells showed that Zr doping enhanced cycle life compared to the bare one, while did not cause the reduction of the discharge capacity of Li[Ni1/3Co1/3Mn1/3]O2. The unchanged peak shape in the differential capacity versus voltage curve suggested that the Zr had the effect to stabilize the structure during cycling. More interestingly, the rate capability was greatly improved. The sample with x = 0.01 presented a capacity of 160.2 mAh g−1 at current density of 640 mA g−1(4 C), corresponding to 92.4% of its capacity at 32 mA g−1(0.2 C). The favorable performance of the doped sample could be attributed to its increased lattice parameter.  相似文献

Hierarchical structured Li4Ti5O12, assembling from randomly oriented nanosheets with a thickness of about 10-16 nm, is fabricated by a facile hydrothermal route and following calcination. It is demonstrated that the as-prepared sample has good cycle stability and excellent high rate performance. In particular, the discharge capacity of 128 mAh g−1 can be obtained at the high current density of 2000 mA g−1, which is about 87% of that at the low current density of 200 mA g−1 upon cycling, indicating that the as-prepared sample can endure great changes of various discharge current densities to retain a good stability. In addition, the pseudocapacitive effect based on the hierarchical structure, also contributes to the high rate capability of Li4Ti5O12, which can be confirmed in cyclic voltammograms.  相似文献

The monoclinic-type Li3V2(PO4)3 cathode material was synthesized via calcining amorphous Li3V2(PO4)3 obtained by chemical reduction and lithiation of V2O5 using oxalic acid as reducer and lithium carbonate as lithium source in alcohol solution. The amorphous Li3V2(PO4)3 precursor was characterized by using TG–DSC and XPS. The results showed that the V5+ was reduced to V3+ by oxalic acid at ambient temperature and pressure. The prepared Li3V2(PO4)3 was characterized by XRD and SEM. The results indicated the Li3V2(PO4)3 powder had good crystallinity and mesoporous morphology with an average diameter of about 30 nm. The pure Li3V2(PO4)3 exhibits a stable discharge capacity of 130.08 mAh g−1 at 0.1 C (14 mA g−1).  相似文献
