A new approach for the design of multivariable feedback control systems in the frequency domain is presented. The techniques handle stability, performance, and robustness aspects of the design problem satisfactorily. The overall approach is systematic and intuitively appealing. A new computer-aided control system design package called SFPACK is developed. This package has implemented the new frequency response design techniques. The package is interactive and command-driven, and it is used as a teaching tool for helping the students to understand the concepts of the design approach. The MAT-LAB-derived control environment in SFPACK is extended to provide the user with an expert system development environment  相似文献

An interactor plays a basic role in the design problems of multivariable control systems, such as the model matching control, decoupling control, adaptive control, and disturbance decoupling control. For example, it is well known that a linear multivariable system is decouplable by the static state feedback if and only if it has a diagonal interactor. But, in general, the interactor is a lower left triangular matrix, which makes the design problems of multivariable control systems complicated. From this point of view, the precompensator such that the total system has a diagonal interactor is important for multivariable control systems to simplify their design procedure. This paper concerns the systematic design method of the precompensator for a diagonal interactor using Markov parameters of the plant. It will also be proved that this compensator is always obtained by the proposed design algorithm. Furthermore, this argument will be a basic idea when this technique is applied to the nonlinear multivariable systems. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The design of multivariable controllers for turbogenerators is usually based on single-machine infinite-bus representations, which are not valid for multimachine power systems. Alternatively, an overall control strategy may be sought for all the generators in the system, but this arrangement is not feasible in practice and involves major mathematical difficulties. The paper describes a method for designing physically-realizable multivariable controllers for individual turbogenerators in multimachine systems, without the assumption of an infinite bus. This employs an equivalent model for each generator, which includes the effects of interconnections with other units in the power system. The method has been used to design optimal state-space controllers for a three-machine system, and results obtained by nonlinear computer simulation show that good performance is achieved.  相似文献

This paper describes an expert system which has been developed to assist in the decision making of voltage control during energizing a high voltage line. A set of rules is used to select the appropriate control action to rectify voltage violations. Controls such as shunt reactors and generator voltages are selected, based on the sensitivity factors. The expert system is built using a command language called COPE. The developed system is implemented on an IBM4381 type computer and tested for the reduced Western Systems Coordinating Council power flow data.  相似文献

Describes challenges in using image processing and automated feature extraction for improving diagnostic accuracy. The generalization of digital technology in medical imaging makes it possible to design computer-aided decision-support tools to help resolve the difficulties encountered by radiologists. It has already been demonstrated that image processing and automated feature extraction can help improve diagnostic accuracy in some applications. Future challenges are for the development of vision techniques tailored for a wider range of imaging modalities and pathologies the design of methods for the combination of several classifiers, and the implementation of expert systems incorporating both low-level feature extractors and high-level clinical knowledge. After evaluation, these tools will be integrated in PACS systems to highlight regions of interest and to provide clinicians with a documented second opinion. A novel multivariable composite model reference adaptive control scheme is developed for multivariable fractional‐order systems with arbitrary relative degree. Firstly, by introducing right gain matrix to substitute left gain matrix, the stringent symmetry assumption is no longer required. The design procedures of controller with certain and uncertain high‐frequency gain matrix are then provided, respectively. The (robust) stability of the resulting closed‐loop control system is investigated by indirect Lyapunov method. It is shown that the composite model reference adaptive control can achieve better performance on output tracking than that of model reference adaptive control. Finally, the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed control scheme are demonstrated in 3 numerical examples.  相似文献

本文提出了一种多变量PID控制系统参数在线自整定方法,即多变量专家极点配置(MEPP)法。该方法将单变量PID控制器极点配置自整定方法推广到多变量系统,并成功地运用专家系统原理实现了闭环极点的自动配置,克服了人工试凑的缺陷。该方法用于火电单元机组协调控制系统自整定仿真研究,结果是令人满意的。  相似文献

After a rather slow beginning, the provision of secirity functions has now become virtually a standard of control centre design. The practical realization of known real-time analytical techniques for security functions has been made possible by the successful development of static state estimation methods for online application. In this paper, the stability-equation method is applied to the analysis and design of an interconnected power system with governor backlash nonlinearities. The considered system is a nonlinear multivariable feedback control system. The governor nonlinearities tend to produce a sustaining oscillation in area frequency and tie-line power transient responses. Most conventional linear design techniques are usually unable to find the sustaining oscillation in design phase and need simulation verifications to check the validations after designs. However, the proposed method can consider effects of nonlinearities in the design phase. Some nonlinear design techniques need parameters optimization method by Lyapunov theorem or Integral of Square Errors (ISE) criteria. They are effective. However, they need large computation efforts. The proposed method can choice frequency bias parameters and integrator gains of supplementary controllers for avoiding the oscillation or reducing the amplitude of the oscillation to be acceptable. Simulation verifications show that the proposed method can provide a simple and effective way for the considered system.  相似文献
