The bio‐green methods of synthesis nanoparticles (NPs) have advantages over chemo‐physical procedures due to cost‐effective and ecofriendly products. The goal of current investigation is biosynthesis of zinc oxide NPs (ZnO‐NPs) and evaluation of their biological assessment. Water extract of Brassica napus pollen [rapeseed (RP)] prepared and used for the synthesis of ZnO‐NPs and synthesised ZnO‐NP characterised using ultraviolet–visible, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy, field emission scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscope. Antioxidant properties of ZnO‐NPs, cytotoxic and pro‐apoptotic potentials of NPs were also evaluated. The results showed that ZnO‐NPs have a hexagonal shape with 26 nm size. ZnO‐NPs synthesised in RP (RP/ZnO‐NPs) exhibited the good antioxidant potential compared with the butylated hydroxyanisole as a positive control. These NPs showed the cytotoxic effects against breast cancer cells (M.D. Anderson‐Metastasis Breast cancer (MDA‐MB)) with IC50 about 1, 6 and 6 μg/ml after 24, 48 and 72 h of exposure, respectively. RP/ZnO‐NPs were found effective in increasing the expression of catalase enzyme, the enzyme involved in antioxidants properties of the cells. Bio‐green synthesised RP/ZnO‐NPs showed antioxidant and cytotoxic properties. The results of the present study support the advantages of using the bio‐green procedure for the synthesis of NPs as an antioxidant and as anti‐cancer agents.Inspec keywords: II‐VI semiconductors, wide band gap semiconductors, ultraviolet spectra, toxicology, X‐ray diffraction, biochemistry, zinc compounds, nanomedicine, enzymes, biomedical materials, particle size, antibacterial activity, transmission electron microscopy, molecular biophysics, visible spectra, nanofabrication, cellular biophysics, nanoparticles, cancer, field emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectra, semiconductor growthOther keywords: bio‐green synthesis ZnO‐NPs, zinc oxide NPs, synthesised ZnO‐NP, field emission scanning electron microscope, transmission electron microscope, antioxidant properties, bio‐green synthesised RP‐ZnO‐NPs, Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, breast cancer cells MDA‐MB, pro‐apoptotic potentials, cytotoxic effects, catalase enzyme, bio‐green procedure, time 48.0 hour, time 72.0 hour, size 26.0 nm, time 24.0 hour, ZnO  相似文献

Bio‐ synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was made by using the aqueous leaf extract of Ardisia solanacea. Rapid formation of AgNPs was observed from silver nitrate upon treatment with the aqueous extract of A. solanacea leaf. The formation and stability of the AgNPs in the colloidal solution were monitored by UV–visible spectrophotometer. The mean particle diameter of AgNPs was calculated from the DLS with an average size ∼4 nm and ∼65 nm. ATR‐FTIR spectroscopy confirmed the presence of alcohols, aldehydes, flavonoids, phenols and nitro compounds in the leaf which act as the stabilizing agent. Antimicrobial activity of the synthesized AgNPs was performed using agar well diffusion and broth dilution method against the Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria. Further, robust anti‐oxidative potential was evaluated by DPPH assay. The highest antimicrobial activity of synthesized AgNPs was found against Pseudomonas aeruginosa (28.2 ± 0.52 mm) whereas moderate activity was found against Bacillus subtilis (16.1 ± 0.76), Candida kruseii (13.0 ± 1.0), and Trichophyton mentagrophytes (12.6 ± 1.52). Moreover, the potential wound healing activity was observed against the BJ‐5Ta normal fibroblast cell line. Current research revealed that A. solanacea was found to be a suitable source for the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles.Inspec keywords: antibacterial activity, nanoparticles, silver, nanomedicine, wounds, microorganisms, X‐ray diffraction, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectra, transmission electron microscopyOther keywords: phyto‐assisted synthesis, biofunctionalised silver nanoparticles, antioxidant antimicrobial wound healing activities, silver nanoparticle biosynthesis, aqueous leaf extract, Ardisia solanacea, silver nitrate, UV–visible spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, Fourier transform infra‐red spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, electron microscopy, attenuated total reflection Fourier transform infra‐red spectroscopy, dilution method, Gram‐positive bacteria, Gram‐negative bacteria, radical scavenging method, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Bacillus subtilis, Candida kruseii, BJ‐5Ta normal fibroblast cell line, SEM, alcohols, aldehydes, flavonoids, phenols, nitro compounds, Ag  相似文献

Facile green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using an aqueous extract of Carissa carandas (C. carandas) leaves was studied. Fabrication of AgNPs was confirmed by the UV–visible spectroscopy which gives absorption maxima at 420 nm. C. carandas leaves are the rich source of the bioactive molecules, acts as a reducing and stabilising agent in AgNPs, confirmed by Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy. The field emission scanning electron microscope revealed the spherical shape of biosynthesised AgNPs. A distinctive peak of silver at 3 keV was determined by energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy. X‐ray diffraction showed the facecentred cubic structure of biosynthesised AgNPs and thermal stability was confirmed by the thermogravimetric analysis. Total flavonoid and total phenolic contents were evaluated in biosynthesised AgNPs. Biosynthesised AgNPs showed free radical scavenging activities against 2, 2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl test and ferric reducing antioxidant power assay. In vitro cytotoxicity against hepatic cell lines (HUH‐7) and renal cell lines (HEK‐293) were also assessed. Finally, biosynthesised AgNPs were scrutinised for their antibacterial activity against methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella sonnei, Shigella boydii and Salmonella typhimurium. This study demonstrated the biofabrication of AgNPs by using C. carandas leaves extract and a potential in vitro biological application as antioxidant, anticancer and antibacterial agents.Inspec keywords: antibacterial activity, biomedical materials, cancer, tumours, nanomedicine, silver, nanoparticles, reduction (chemical), nanofabrication, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, field emission scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectra, X‐ray chemical analysis, X‐ray diffraction, thermal stability, thermal analysis, free radical reactions, toxicology, cellular biophysics, microorganismsOther keywords: total phenolic contents, free radical scavenging activities, 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl test, ferric reducing antioxidant power assay, in vitro cytotoxicity, hepatic cell lines HUH‐7, renal cell lines HEK‐293, antibacterial activity, methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Shigella sonnei, Shigella boydii, Salmonella typhimurium, biofabrication, in vitro biological application, Ag, total flavonoid contents, thermogravimetric analysis, thermal stability, face‐centred cubic structure, X‐ray diffraction, energy dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, distinctive peak, spherical shape, field emission scanning electron microscope, Fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy, stabilising agent, reducing agent, bioactive molecules, absorption maxima, UV‐visible spectroscopy, plant extract colour, antibacterial activities, anticancer activities, antioxidant activities, Carissa carandas, aqueous leaves extract, silver nanoparticles, structural characterisation, one‐pot green synthesis  相似文献

The focus of this study is on a rapid and cost‐effective approach for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using Artemisia quttensis Podlech aerial parts extract and assessment of their antioxidant, antibacterial and anticancer activities. The prepared AgNPs were determined by ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infra‐red spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive spectroscopy, and dynamic light scattering and zeta‐potential analysis. The AgNPs and A. quttensis extract were evaluated for their antiradical scavenging activity by 2, 2‐diphenyl, 1‐picryl hydrazyl assay and anticancer activity against colon cancer (human colorectal adenocarcinoma cell line 29) compared with normal human embryonic kidney (HEK293) cells. Also, the prepared AgNPs were studied for its antibacterial activity. The AgNPs revealed a higher antioxidant activity compared with A. quttensis extract alone. The phyto‐synthesised AgNPs and A. quttensis extract showed a dose–response cytotoxicity effect against HT29 and HEK293 cells. As evidenced by Annexin V/propidium iodide staining, the number of apoptotic HT29 cells was significantly enhanced, following treatment with AgNPs as compared with untreated cells. Besides, the antibacterial property of the AgNPs indicated a significant effect against the selected pathogenic bacteria. These present obtained results show the potential applications of phyto‐synthesised AgNPs using A. quttensis aerial parts extract.Inspec keywords: nanoparticles, silver, nanomedicine, cancer, transmission electron microscopy, ultraviolet spectroscopy, visible spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, electrokinetic effects, kidney, cellular biophysics, antibacterial activity, toxicology, patient treatmentOther keywords: anticancer properties, antibacterial properties, antioxidant properties, phytosynthesised Artemisia quttensis Podlech extract mediated AgNP, ultraviolet‐visible spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, zeta‐potential analysis, antiradical scavenging activity, 2,2‐diphenyl, 1‐picryl hydrazyl assay, anticancer activity, HT29 colon cancer, human embryonic kidney cells, HEK293 cells, A. quttensis extract, dose‐response cytotoxicity effect, Annexin V staining, apoptotic HT29 cells, pathogenic bacteria, propidium iodide staining, Ag  相似文献

In the current study for the first time, silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were biosynthesized by reducing agents from hot water extract of Allium ampeloprasum, an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory edible plant. UV–vis. spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, X-ray diffractometric, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) analyses have been applied to confirm the formation of biosynthesized AgNPs. Total phenol content and antioxidant activities of AgNPs and extract together with their antibacterial and cytotoxic properties, were evaluated. According to TEM, AgNPs were spherical with a diameter of 8–50 nm. Total phenolic compounds were 15.58 μg/mL, and 10.94 μg/mL at a concentration of 150 μg/mL for the A. ampeloprasum extract and the biosynthesized AgNPs, respectively. Biosynthesized AgNPs showed significant antioxidant activity (81%) as compared to A. ampeloprasum extract (32%) and were active on multi-drug resistant P. aeruginosa. Besides, the cytotoxic activity response was also demonstrated that AgNPs were more potent than the A. ampeloprasum extract and showed high activity against Hela cell line with an IC50 value of less than 25 µg/mL. In conclusion, AgNPs synthesized by A. ampeloprasum extract with excellent antioxidant and antibacterial effects and acceptable cytotoxicity on cervical cancer cells have the potential to be used in biological applications.  相似文献

The synthesis of metal nanoparticles (NPs) loaded on the ultrasonic‐assisted Spirulina platensis (MNPs/UASP) was investigated using the green synthesis method. The S. platensis algal extract was taken as a reducing agent. The formations of metal NPs were characterised using UV–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The antimicrobial activity of different metal NPs demonstrated various inhibitory activities against one gram‐positive bacteria (Staphylocicus aureus), four gram‐negative bacteria (Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli) and one fungus (Aspergillus niger). Both CrNPs/UASP and ZnNPs/UASP show good antimicrobial activity when compared with other MNPs/UASP against microorganisms. This MNPs/UASP is effective in preventing and treating the microbial infection and water pollution in the environment.Inspec keywords: antibacterial activity, nanoparticles, nanomedicine, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, microorganisms, Fourier transform infrared spectraOther keywords: metal nanoparticles loaded ultrasonic‐assisted Spirulina platensis, algal extract, antimicrobial activity, green synthesis method, UV–visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, gram‐positive bacteria, Staphylocicus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia, Proteus vulgaris, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Aspergillus niger, fungus, microorganisms, microbial infection, water pollution  相似文献

Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) were synthesised from aqueous Ag nitrate through a simple, competent and eco‐friendly method using the leaf extract of Ipomoea eriocarpa as reducing as well as capping agent. Ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy was used to confirm the formation of AgNPs which displayed the substantiation of surface plasmon bands at 425 nm. The NPs were also characterised using Fourier transformer infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction method, transmission electron microscope and zeta potential. The characterisation study confirmed the formation of AgNPs, their spherical shape and average diameter of 12.85 ± 8.65 nm. Zeta potential value of −20.5 mV suggested that the AgNPs are stable in the suspension. The aqueous extract and the AgNPs were further screened for in vivo anti‐inflammatory activity using carrageenan‐induced paw edema in male Wistar rats. The study demonstrated that the AgNPs (1 ml kg−1) had a significant (p  < 0.05) anti‐edemic effect and inhibition was observed from the first hour (21.31 ± 1.34) until the sixth hour (52.67 ± 1.41), when the inhibitory effect was greatest and superior to the aqueous extract and the standard, diclofenac.Inspec keywords: silver, nanoparticles, nanofabrication, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, absorption coefficients, surface plasmons, Fourier transform infrared spectra, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, suspensions, drugs, nanomedicineOther keywords: biosynthesis, aqueous leaf extract, ipomoea eriocarpa, antiinflammatory effect, carrageenan‐induced paw edema, male Wistar rats, silver nanoparticles, aqueous nitrate, capping agent, ultraviolet‐visible absorption spectroscopy, surface plasmon band, Fourier transformer infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, zeta potential, spherical shape, suspension, aqueous extract, in vivo antiinflammatory activity, antiedemic effect, inhibitory effect, diclofenac, wavelength 425 nm, size 12.85 nm to 8.65 nm, Ag  相似文献

The present work is emphasised on the bio‐fabrication of silver and gold nanoparticles in a single step by a microwave‐assisted method using the leaf extract of Synedrella nodiflora as both reducing and stabilising agent. The synthesised nanoparticles are highly stable and show surface plasmon resonance peak at 413 and 535 nm, respectively, for silver and gold nanoparticles in UV–Vis spectrum. The functional group responsible for the reduction of metal ions were obtained from Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The crystalline nature of nanoparticles with face‐centred cubic geometry was confirmed by the X‐ray diffraction and selected area electron diffraction patterns. The morphology and sizes of the silver and gold nanoparticles were obtained from transmission electron microscopy images. The nanoparticles exhibit effective antimicrobial activities against various pathogenic strains. These antimicrobial properties were analysed by employing agar well diffusion method. The nanoparticles show significant antioxidant properties, and it was determined using 2, 2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl assay. The nanoparticles also show potent catalytic activity in the degradation of anthropogenic pollutant dyes Congo red and eosin Y by excess NaBH4. Thus, the current study demonstrates the potential use of S. nodiflora as a reducing and stabilising agent for the synthesis of silver and gold nanoparticles and their relevance in the field of biomedicine and catalysis.Inspec keywords: transmission electron microscopy, visible spectra, surface plasmon resonance, nanofabrication, ultraviolet spectra, field emission electron microscopy, reduction (chemical), nanocomposites, microorganisms, nanoparticles, dyes, silver, X‐ray diffraction, nanomedicine, gold, antibacterial activity, electron diffraction, infrared spectra, particle size, Fourier transform spectra, scanning electron microscopy, catalysis, crystal growth from solutionOther keywords: synthesised nanoparticles, gold nanoparticles, catalytic activities, electron diffraction patterns, antimicrobial activities, antioxidant activities, transmission electron microscopy images, X‐ray diffraction, 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl assay, Synedrella nodiflora, UV–Vis spectrum, silver nanoparticles, biofabrication, surface plasmon resonance, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, face‐centred cubic geometry, area electron diffraction patterns, pathogenic strains, agar well diffusion method, anthropogenic pollutant dyes, Congo red, eosin Y, wavelength 413.0 nm, wavelength 535.0 nm, Au, Ag  相似文献

Biomimetic synthesis of metal nanoparticles (NPs) is safe and eco‐friendly; therefore, find diverse applications. Considering this, the soil fungi Penicillium chrysogenum strain Fungal germplasm collection centre/ BLS1 was isolated, characterized and explored to synthesize extracellular silver NPs (AgNPs) under optimised conditions. The synthesis of AgNPs was investigated using ultraviolet (UV)–visible spectroscopy, Fourier‐transform infra‐red spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis. Process optimisation exhibited AgNPs synthesis within 8 h using 2 mM AgNO3 at pH 11 and temperature 70°C. TEM analysis revealed polydispersed ellipsoidal shaped AgNPs with average particle size 96.8 nm as measured by DLS. AgNPs showed negative zeta potential that confers surface stability in solution. FTIR spectra confirmed the presence of protein bound to AgNPs. Antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Staphylococcus aureus by the AgNPs (100 ppm) was demonstrated by counting colony forming unit, disc diffusion, and growth kinetics assay. Additionally radial assay revealed antifungal activity of AgNPs (100 ppm) against phytopathogenic fungi Sclerotinia sclerotiorum Microbial type culture collection 8785. Furthermore, AgNPs (100 ppm) did not show any cytotoxic effects on human Red blood cells. Therefore, this novel fungal strain can be utilised for biofabrication of AgNPs under optimised conditions and have shown strong antimicrobial property.Inspec keywords: biomimetics, silver, nanoparticles, particle size, nanofabrication, nanomedicine, microorganisms, biomedical materials, antibacterial activity, light scattering, cellular biophysics, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectra, transmission electron microscopy, pH, electrokinetic effects, proteins, molecular biophysics, biochemistry, reduction (chemical), biodiffusion, reaction kinetics, bloodOther keywords: biomimetic synthesis, physicocultural conditions, antimicrobial potential assessment, metal nanoparticles, soil fungi Penicillium chrysogenum strain FGCC/BLS1, extracellular silver NPs, ultraviolet‐visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, FTIR, transmission electron microscope, TEM, dynamic light scattering, process optimisation, Ag nitrate, pH, absorbance, polydispersed ellipsoidal shaped AgNPs, particle size, DLS, mycosynthesised AgNPs, negative zeta potential, surface stability, protein component, reducing agent, antibacterial activity, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, disc diffusion, colony forming unit counting, growth kinetics assay, radial assay, antifungal activity, phytopathogenic fungi Sclerotinia sclerotiorum MTCC 8785, RBC haemolysis assay, temperature 70 degC, Ag  相似文献

The peel of Citrus maxima (C. maxima) is the primary byproducts during the process of fruit or juice in food industries, and it was always considered as biomass waste for further treatments. In this study, the authors reported a simple and eco‐friendly method to synthesise gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) using C. maxima peel extract as reducing and capping agents. The synthesised AuNPs were characterised by UV–visible spectrum, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The UV–visible spectrum of the AuNPs colloid showed a characteristic peak at 540 nm. The peaks of XRD analysis at (2θ) 38.30°, 44.28°, 64.62°, 77.57° and 81.75° were assigned to (111), (200), (220), (311) and (222) planes of the face‐centered cubic (fcc) lattice of gold. The TEM images showed that AuNPs were nearly spherical in shape with the size of 8–25 nm. The FTIR spectrum revealed that some bioactive compounds capped the surface of synthesised AuNPs. The biosynthesised AuNPs performed strong catalytic activity in degradation of 4‐nitrophenol to 4‐aminophenol and good antibacterial activity against both gram negative (Escherichia coli) and gram positive (Staphylococcus aureus) bacterium. The synthesis procedure was proved simple, cost effective and environment friendly.Inspec keywords: gold, nanoparticles, nanofabrication, X‐ray diffraction, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectra, crystal structure, catalysis, antibacterial activity, nanobiotechnologyOther keywords: gold nanoparticles, Citrus maxima peel extract, UV–visible spectrum, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope, Fourier‐transform infrared spectroscopy, XRD analysis, faced centre cubic lattice, TEM images, catalytic activity, 4‐nitrophenol, 4‐aminophenol, antibacterial activity, gram negative bacterium, gram positive bacterium, Au  相似文献

In this present study, a hybrid Chi‐Fe3 O4 was prepared, characterised and evaluated for its antibacterial and antibiofilm potential against Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus marcescens bacterial pathogens. Intense peak around 260 nm in the ultraviolet–visible spectrum specify the formation of magnetite nanoparticles. Spherical‐shaped particles with less agglomeration and particle size distribution of 3.78–46.40 nm were observed using transmission electron microscopy analysis and strong interaction of chitosan with the surface of magnetite nanoparticles was studied using field emission scanning microscopy (FESEM). X‐ray diffraction analysis exhibited the polycrystalline and spinel structure configuration of the nanocomposite. Presence of Fe and O, C and Cl elements were confirmed using energy dispersive X‐ray microanalysis. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopic analysis showed the reduction and formation of Chi‐Fe3 O4 nanocomposite. The antibacterial activity by deformation of the bacterial cell walls on treatment with Chi‐Fe3 O4 nanocomposite and its interaction was visualised using FESEM and the antibiofilm activity was determined using antibiofilm assay. We report new, eco‐friendly and green method for the synthesis of sulphur nanoparticles using sodium polysulphide in the presence of leaf extracts of four different medicinal plants, which can be used for treatment of bacterial infections. Sodium polysulphide and acidic solution (H2 SO4) in the presence of plant leaf extract developed the yellowish precipitate in solution, which indicated the formation of sulphur nanoparticles. UV–Vis spectrophotometer analysis of reaction mixture showed absorbance spectra in the range of 292–296 nm, which is supposed to be specific for sulphur nanoparticles. Zeta potential study of sulphur nanoparticles synthesized from Catharanthus roseus showed more stability when compared with other medicinal plants. Sulphur nanoparticles synthesized from C. roseus were further characterized by XRD analysis, FTIR analysis, and TEM analysis. The biogenic sulphur nanoparticles were spherical, polydispersed with particle size of 70–80 nm. Evaluation of antibacterial study revealed that synthesized sulphur nanoparticles exhibited better bactericidal efficacy against common pathogenic bacteria Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus with minimum inhibitory concentration of 200 μg/ml with significant activity used in combination with antibiotic. It can be concluded that the synthesized sulphur nanoparticles can be used as antibacterial agents after thorough experimental trials in animals.Inspec keywords: antibacterial activity, biomedical materials, nanoparticles, nanofabrication, sodium compounds, sulphur, ultraviolet spectra, visible spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectra, electrokinetic effects, transmission electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction, microorganismsOther keywords: bio‐inspired synthesis, sulphur nanoparticles, leaf extract, medicinal plants, antibacterial activity, eco‐friendly, green synthesis, sodium polysulphide, bacterial infections, biological synthesis, UV–visible analysis, nanoparticle tracking analysis, zeta potential analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction analysis, transmission electron microscopy analysis, acidic solution, UV–Vis spectrophotometer analysis, pathogenic bacteria, Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, size 70 nm to 80 nm, wavelength 292 nm to 296 nm, S  相似文献

The green synthesised copper oxide NPs was characterised by transmission electron microscope, energy dispersive X‐Ray spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared and ultraviolet‐visible analysis. The activities of the CuO NPs as catalyst were tested in the formation of C‐N and C‐O bonds. The N ‐arylated and O ‐arylated products of amides, N‐H heterocycles and phenols were obtained in excellent yields. For the first time in this study, gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) were biosynthesized by the eco-friendly and cost-effective procedure using Presley leaf (Petroselinum crispum) extract then used as antioxidant, anticancer, antibacterial and photocatalytic agents. Different four-volume of the extract 2.5 mL, 5 mL, 10 mL, and 20 ML named AuNPs(A), AuNPs(B), AuNPs(C) and AuNPs(D) were used to module the size and shape of AuNPs. The prepared NPs were characterized by various techniques including UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy, Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), dynamic light scattering (EDX), and X-ray diffractometric (XRD). TEM imaging confirmed the formation of spherical, semi-rod aggregates, and flower-shaped NPs. The reduction and stabilization effect of the plant extract to fabricate AuNPs were explained by FTIR analysis. The four AuNPs provided high antioxidant ability, while AuNPs(D) was the best one. The NPs showed an emerging antimicrobial activity against two gram-negative microbes and not effective against the gram-positive microbes. The photocatalytic capacity for degradation of methylene blue dye was achieved after only one minute (the four samples have an equal effect). The AuNPs(D) provide the best anticancer activity on the human cancerous colorectal cell line using MTT assay rather than the other three AuNPs. The results spotlight for using Presley as a common cheap plant for bio-fabricating AuNPs who possess huge multifunctional applications.  相似文献

This study reports an eco‐friendly‐based method for the preparation of biopolymer Ag–Au nanoparticles (NPs) by using gum kondagogu (GK; Cochlospermum gossypium), as both reducing and protecting agent. The formation of GK‐(Ag–Au) NPs was confirmed by UV‐absorption, fourier transformed infrared (FTIR), atomic force microscopy (AFM), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and transmission electron microscope (TEM). The GK‐(Ag–Au) NPs were of 1–12 nm in size. The anti‐proliferative activity of nanoparticle constructs was assessed by MTT assay, confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and quantitative real‐time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) techniques. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have been biosynthesised through the extracts of Ribes khorassanicum fruits, which served as the reducing agents and capping agents. Biosynthesised AgNPs have been found to be ultraviolet–visible (UV–vis) absorption spectra since they have displayed one surface plasmon resonance peak at 438 nm, attesting the formation of spherical NPs. These particles have been characterised by UV–vis, field‐emission scanning electron microscopy, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy analysis. The formation of AgNPs at 1.0 mM concentration of AgNO3 has resulted in NPs that contained mean diameters in a range of 20–40 nm. The green‐synthesised AgNPs have demonstrated high antibacterial effect against pathogenic bacteria (i.e. Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa). Owing to the numerous biological applications, cost effectiveness and low cytotoxicity of the biomimetic nanoparticles (NPs), the authors optimised the production of silver NPs (AgNPs) using aqueous extract of Teucrium stocksianum Boiss. The NPs were characterised by ultraviolet‐visible (UV‐vis) spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS) and Fourier transform‐infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). The UV‐vis spectroscopy revealed a surface plasmon resonance (410‐440 nm) at an incubation temperature of 90°C when 1 mM Ag nitrate combined to 5 mg/ml extract concentration in the ratio of 1:10. DLS results show an average zeta size of ∼44.61 nm and zeta potential of −15.3 mV. SEM and XRD confirmed the high crystallinity and cubical symmetry with an average size below 100 nm. FTIR measurement shows the presence of various functional groups, responsible for the capping and reduction of Ag metal. The 3‐(4,5‐dimethylthiazol‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐diphenyltetrazolium bromide cell viability assay shows that AgNPs are less cytotoxic to J774 and L929 cells as compared with enhanced anticancer activity with low IC50 concentrations (68.24 µg/ml) against Michigan Cancer Foundation‐7 (MCF‐7) cells. The ethidium bromide/acridine orange assay shows that the AgNPs kill the cell by apoptosis. Overall, the results show that AgNPs possesses potent anticancer activities.Inspec keywords: cellular biophysics, cancer, nanobiotechnology, nanomedicine, ultraviolet spectra, X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopes, light scattering, patient treatmentOther keywords: anticancer assessment, in vitro cytotoxic assessment, aqueous extract‐mediated AgNPs, Teucrium stocksianum Boiss, nanoparticles, biological applications, biosynthesis, silver NPs, X‐ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, dynamic light scattering, Fourier transform‐infrared spectroscopy, UV‐vis spectroscopy, surface plasmon resonance, extract concentration, zeta potential, high crystallinity, FTIR measurement, amide molecules, viability assay, enhanced anticancer activity, potent anticancer activities  相似文献

Nanoparticles are known to play remarkable role as abiotic stress elicitors in plants. This study reports the comparative analysis of effects produced by capped [zinc oxide (ZnO)‐polyethylene glycol (PEG), ZnO‐polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP), copper oxide (CuO)‐PEG, CuO‐PVP] and uncapped (ZnO and CuO) nanoparticles on the medicinal plant, Stevia rebaudiana raised in vitro for the production of commercially important sweetener compounds. In context of shoot organogenesis, ZnO‐PEG, ZnO‐PVP, CuO‐PEG, CuO‐PVP were employed to the growth medium that resulted in increased growth parameters, and larger content of steviol glycosides as compared to the shoots raised in medium containing ZnO and CuO, revealed by high‐performance liquid chromatography. In the meanwhile, non‐enzymatic antioxidant activities including total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, total antioxidant capacity, total reducing power and 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picryl hydrazyl‐free radical scavenging activity were calculated and showed comparatively greater amounts in shoots grown in medium containing capped ZnO or CuO nanoparticles. Furthermore, the ZnO and its derivatives revealed to be more reactive at 1 mg/l of concentration. Whereas, the CuO and its derivatives produced greater response on Stevia at 10 mg/l concentration of nanoparticles. This study paves the way for more such studies encompassing capped and uncapped nanoparticles and their ultimate effect on in‐vitro grown plant tissues for the production of active metabolites on industrial scale.Inspec keywords: nanoparticles, chromatography, resins, polymers, zinc compounds, copper compounds, food technology, agricultureOther keywords: nanoparticles, sweetener compounds, antioxidant activities, Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni, abiotic stress elicitors, zinc oxide‐polyethylene glycol, zinc oxide‐polyvinyl pyrrolidone, copper oxide‐polyethylene glycol, medicinal plant, shoot organogenesis, steviol glycosides, high‐performance liquid chromatography, nonenzymatic antioxidant activities, total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, total antioxidant capacity, total reducing power, 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picryl hydrazylfree radical scavenging activity, derivatives, active metabolite production, copper oxide‐polyvinyl pyrrolidone  相似文献

Medicinal plants are widely utilised by the African population since they have no harmful side effects and low cost compared with different treatments. The field of nanotechnology is the most active part of research in modern material''s science. Though there are several chemicals as well as physical methods, however, green synthesis of nanomaterials is the most emerging method of synthesis. Conventionally, chemical reduction is the most often applied approach for the preparation of metallic nanoparticle''s however, in most of the synthesis protocols it cannot avoid the utilisation of toxic chemicals. Hence, the authors report an environmentally friendly, cost effective and green approach for synthesis of 1 mM AgNO3 solution using the polyphenolic‐rich leaf extracts of Syzygium cumini (S. cumini) (L.) Skeels as a reducing and capping agent. The synthesised AgNPs are characterised by UV‐Vis spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. FTIR analysis revealed that the AgNPs were stable due to eugenols, terpenes, and other different aromatic compounds present in the extract. The green biosynthesised S. cumini AgNPs significantly inhibited the growth of human pathogenic both gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus (1.40 mm) and gram‐negative bacteria Escherichia coli (2.75 mm) and Salmonella typhimurium (1.45 mm) showing promising antimicrobial activity.Inspec keywords: silver, nanoparticles, nanofabrication, nanomedicine, antibacterial activity, biomedical materials, visible spectra, ultraviolet spectra, Fourier transform infrared spectra, microorganismsOther keywords: green‐route mediated synthesis, silver nanoparticles, Syzygium cumini, Skeels polyphenolic‐rich leaf extracts, antimicrobial activity, medicinal plants, African population, nanotechnology, physical methods, nanomaterials, metallic nanoparticles, AgNO3 solution, polyphenolic‐rich leaf extracts, capping agent, UV‐visible spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, FTIR, eugenols, terpenes, aromatic compounds, green biosynthesis, human pathogenic growth, gram‐positive Staphylococcus aureus, gram‐negative bacteria Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhimurium, antimicrobial activity, size 2.75 mm, size 1.45 mm, size 1.40 mm, Ag  相似文献
