A novel perovskite intercalated nanomaterial HLaNb2O7/(Pt, TiO2) is fabricated by successive intercalated reaction of HLaNb2O7 with [Pt(NH3)4]Cl2 aqueous solution, n-C6H13NH2/C2H5OH organic solution and acidic TiO2 colloid solution, followed by ultraviolet light irradiation. The gallery height and the band gap energy of HLaNb2O7/(Pt, TiO2) is less than 0.6 nm and 3.14 eV, respectively. The photocatalytic activity of HLaNb2O7/TiO2 is superior to that of unsupported TiO2 and is enhanced by the co-incorporation of Pt. The photocatalytic hydrogen evolution based on HLaNb2O7/(Pt, TiO2) is 240 cm3 h−1 g−1 using methanol as a sacrificial agent under irradiation with wavelength more than 290 nm from a 100-W mercury lamp. High photocatalytic activity of HLaNb2O7/(Pt, TiO2) may be due to the host with rare earth La element and perovskite structure, the quantum size effect of intercalated semiconductor and the coupling effect between host and guest.  相似文献

CuCr2O4/TiO2 heterojunction has been successfully synthesized via a facile citric acid (CA)-assisted sol-gel method. Techniques of X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum (UV-vis DRS) have been employed to characterize the as-synthesized nanocomposites. Furthermore, photocatalytic activities of the as-obtained nanocomposites have been evaluated based on the H2 evolution from oxalic acid solution under simulated sunlight irradiation. Factors such as CuCr2O4 to TiO2 molar ratio in the composites, calcination temperature, photocatalyst mass concentration, and initial oxalic acid concentration affecting the photocatalytic hydrogen producing have been studied in detail. The results showed that the nanocomposite of CuCr2O4/TiO2 is more efficient than their single part of CuCr2O4 or TiO2 in producing hydrogen. The optimized composition of the nanocomposites has been found to be CuCr2O4·0.7TiO2. And the optimized calcination temperature and photocatalyst mass concentration are 500 °C and 0.8 g l−1, respectively. The influence of initial oxalic acid concentration is consistent with the Langmuir model.  相似文献

Pt electrode dissolution has been investigated using an electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM) in H2O2-containing 0.5 mol dm−3 H2SO4. The Pt electrode weight-loss of ca. 0.4 μg cm−2 is observed during nine potential sweeps between 0.01 and 1.36 V vs. RHE. In contrast, the Pt electrode weight-loss is negligible without H2O2 (<0.05 μg cm−2). To support the EQCM results, the weight-decrease amounts of a Pt disk electrode and amounts of Pt dissolved in the solutions were measured after similar successive potential cycles. As a result, these results agreed well with the EQCM results. Furthermore, the H2O2 concentration dependence of the Pt weight-decrease rate was assessed by successive potential steps. These EQCM data indicated that the increase in H2O2 accelerates the Pt dissolution. Based on these results, H2O2 is known to be a major factor contributing to the Pt dissolution.  相似文献

A new series visible-light driven photocatalysts (CuIn)xCd2(1x)S2 was successfully synthesized by a simple and facile, low-temperature hydrothermal method. The synthesized materials were characterized by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area measurement, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV–Vis DRS). The results show that the morphology of the photocatalysts changes with the increase of x from 0.01 to 0.3 and their band gap can be correspondingly tuned from 2.37 eV to 2.30 eV. The (CuIn)xCd2(1−x)S2 nanocomposite show highly photocatalytic activities for H2 evolution from aqueous solutions containing sacrificial reagents, SO32− and S2− under visible light. Substantially, (CuIn)0.05Cd1.9S2 with the band gap of 2.36 eV exhibits the highest photocatalytic activity even without a Pt cocatalyst (649.9 μmol/(g h)). Theoretical calculations about electronic property of the (CuIn)xCd2(1−x)S2 indicate that Cu 3d and In 5s5p states should be responsible for the photocatalytic activity. Moreover, the deposition of Pt on the doping sample results in a substantial improvement in H2 evolution than the Pt-loaded pure CdS and the amount of H2 produced (2456 μmol/(g h)) in the Pt-loaded doping system is much higher than that of the latter (40.2 μmol/(g h)). The (CuIn)0.05Cd1.9S2 nanocomposite can keep the activity for a long time due to its stability in the photocatalytic process. Therefore, the doping of CuInS2 not only facilitates the photocatalytic activity of CdS for H2 evolution, but also improves its stability in photocatalytic process.  相似文献

HLaNb2O7 photocatalyst was prepared by the proton exchange reaction of KLaNb2O7 with diluted acid. The layered perovskite KLaNb2O7 has been successfully synthesized by the polymerized complex method. The product was characterized by X-ray diffraction, ultraviolet–visible spectra, scan electron microscope, TG–DSC, specific surface area, and FTIR. The layered perovskite KLaNb2O7 was formed at a lower calcination temperature (1000 °C, 6 h) by the polymerized complex method than a solid-state reaction method (1150 °C, 24 h). Photocatalytic decomposition of water to produce hydrogen under UV irradiation with methanol as electron donor was studied over layered perovskite HLaNb2O7 photocatalysts. The HLaNb2O7 photocatalyst prepared by the polymerized complex method showed much higher activity than that prepared by conventional solid-state reaction method.  相似文献

A series of graphene/CaIn2O4 composites were synthesized using a facile solvothermal method to improve the photocatalytic performance of CaIn2O4. The reduction of graphene oxide to graphene and the deposition of CaIn2O4 nanoparticles on the graphene sheets can be achieved simultaneously during the solvothermal process. The photocatalytic activities of as-prepared graphene/CaIn2O4 composites for hydrogen evolution from CH3OH/H2O solution were investigated under visible light irradiation. It was found that graphene exhibited an obvious influence on the photocatalytic activity of CaIn2O4. The graphene/CaIn2O4 composite reached a high H2 evolution rate of 62.5 μmol h−1 from CH3OH/H2O solution when the content of graphene was 1 wt%. Furthermore, the 1 wt% graphene/CaIn2O4 composite did not show deactivation for H2 evolution for longer than 32 h. This work could provide a new insight into the fabrication of visible light driven photocatalysts with efficient and stable performance.  相似文献

TiO2 photocatalyst with deposited CuO (CuO-TiO2) was synthesized by the impregnation method using P25 (Degussa) as support, and exhibited high photocatalytic hydrogen generation activity from methanol/water solution. A substantial hydrogen evolution rate of 10.2 ml min−1 (18,500 μmol h−1 g−1catalyst) was observed over this efficient CuO-TiO2 with optimal Cu content of 9.1 mol% from an aqueous solution containing 10 vol% methanol; this improved hydrogen generation rate is significantly higher than the reported Cu-containing TiO2, including some Pt and Pd loaded TiO2. Optimal Cu content of 9.1 mol% provided maximum active sites and allowed good light penetration in TiO2. Over this efficient CuO-TiO2, the hydrogen generation rate was accelerated by increasing the methanol concentration according to Freundlich adsorption isotherm. However, the photocatalytic hydrogen generation rate was suppressed under long time irradiation mainly due to accumulation of by-products, reduction of CuO and copper leaching, which requires further investigation.  相似文献

We report a green and facile approach for the preparation of carbon-modified (C-modified) TiO2 composite materials by hydrothermal synthesis followed by pyrolytic treatment. The resultant materials were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen physisorption studies, Raman spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The photocatalytic performances of these materials were evaluated by calculating the amount of hydrogen evolved from the decomposition of water under solar simulated irradiation conditions. An improvement was achieved from no H2 evolution at all with the bare TiO2, to an evolution of 0.21 mL g−1 h−1 from a composite material modified with an optimum carbon loading of 3.62%. These results suggested that the interaction of carbon with predominantly rutile form of TiO2 can promote shallow trapping of photogenerated electrons in the oxygen vacancies. This phenomenon consequently enhances the photocatalytic activity by minimizing charge carrier recombination, a characteristic demonstrated by fluorescence quenching of the TiO2 emission.  相似文献

N-doped In2Ga2ZnO7 photocatalysts were fabricated by solid state reaction route. All the prepared photocatalysts were successfully characterised by PXRD, optical absorption spectra, SEM, TEM, XPS, BET surface area and photoresponse studies. The formation of In2Ga2ZnO7 was confirmed by the PXRD pattern. Optical absorption spectra showed that the visible light absorption of all the photocatalysts were enhanced by nitrogen doping. Among all the prepared photocatalysts, 1 wt% Pt loaded N-GaInZn-500 showed enhanced photocatalytic activity towards hydrogen evolution under visible light irradiation in presence of 10 vol% methanol solution as sacrificial agent. The excellent photocatalytic activity of N-GaInZn-500 is in agreement with N-content, bandgap energy, PL intensity and Surface area.  相似文献

An efficient visible-light active photocatalyst of multilayer-Eosin Y-sensitized TiO2 is prepared through linkage of Fe3+ between not only TiO2 and Eosin Y but also different Eosin Y molecules to form three-dimensional polymeric dye structure. The multilayer-dye-sensitized photocatalyst is found to have high light harvesting efficiency and photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution under visible light irradiation (λ > 420 nm). On the optimum conditions (1:1 initial molar ratio of Eosin Y to Fe(NO3)3, initial 10 × 10−3 M Eosin Y, and 1.0 wt% Pt deposited by in situ photoreduction), its maximal apparent quantum yield for hydrogen evolution is 19.1% from aqueous triethanolamine solution (TEOA aq). The present study highlights linking between dye molecules via metal ions as a general way to develop efficient visible-light photocatalyst.  相似文献

The physical properties and photoelectrochemical characterization of the spinel ZnFe2O4, elaborated by chemical route, have been investigated for the hydrogen production under visible light. The forbidden band is found to be 1.92 eV and the transition is indirectly allowed. The electrical conduction occurs by small polaron hopping with activation energy of 0.20 eV. p-type conductivity is evidenced from positive thermopower and cathodic photocurrent. The flat band potential (0.18 VSCE) determined from the capacitance measurements is suitably positioned with respect to H2O/H2 level (−0.85 VSCE). Hence, ZnFe2O4 is found to be an efficient photocatalyst for hydrogen generation under visible light. The photoactivity increases significantly when the spinel is combined with a wide band gap semiconductor. The best performance with a hydrogen rate evolution of 9.2 cm3 h−1 (mg catalyst)−1 occurs over the new hetero-system ZnFe2O4/SrTiO3 in Na2S2O3 (0.025 M) solution.  相似文献

A series of layered perovskite photocatalysts, ASr2TaxNb3−xO10 (A=K, H; x=0, 1, 1.5, 2 and 3), were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction followed by an ion-exchange reaction. Pt was incorporated in the interlayer of HSr2TaxNb3−xO10 by the stepwise intercalation reaction. The HSr2TaxNb3−xO10 showed hydrogen production activity and the activities were greatly enhanced by Pt co-incorporating. The x value in HSr2TaxNb3−xO10 had an important effect on the photocatalytic activity of the catalyst. When the x=1, the HSr2TaNb2O10/Pt photocatalyst showed a photocatalytic activity of 208 cm3 g−1 h−1 hydrogen evolution rate in 10 vol% methanol solution under irradiation with wavelength more than 290 nm from a 100-W mercury lamp at 333 K. The HSr2TaNb2O10/Pt photocatalyst exhibited much higher photocatalytic activity than the well-known TiO2/Pt photocatalyst under the same conditions.  相似文献

TiO2/reduced graphene oxide composite (T-rGO) was synthesized and its performance was evaluated with photocatalytic hydrogen evolution. It was found that the hydrogen evolution rate of T-rGO increased significantly after injecting small amount of air into the vacuum pumped and UV irradiated sealed reaction cell. The IR, XPS, Raman and ESR spectra analysis indicated that the O2•−, which generated from the reaction of photoinduced electrons and the injected O2 can moderately and controllably increase the oxygen groups on graphene planar of T-rGO at ambient condition. The amount of oxygen groups on graphene planar of T-rGO will affect the p-doping concentration of graphene, thus affect the p–n junction and the performance of T-rGO for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution.  相似文献

The presence of CO in the H2-rich gas used as fuel for hydrogen fuel cells has a detrimental effect on PEMFC performance and durability at conventional operating conditions. This paper reports on an investigation of the effect of CO on H2 activation on a fuel cell Pt/C catalyst close to typical PEMFC operating conditions using H2-D2 exchange as a probe reaction and to measure hydrogen surface coverage. While normally limited by equilibrium in the absence of impurities on Pt at typical fuel cell operating temperatures, the presence of ppm concentrations of CO increased the apparent activation energy (Ea) of H2-D2 exchange reaction (representing H2 activation) from approximately 4.5-5.3 kcal mole−1 (Bernasek and Somorjai (1975) [24], Montano et al. (2006) [25]) (in the absence of CO) to 19.3-19.7 kcal mole−1 (in the presence of 10-70 ppm CO), similar to those reported by Montano et al. (2006) [25]. Calculations based on measurements indicate a CO surface coverage of approximately 0.55 ML at 80 °C in H2 with 70 ppm CO, which coincide very well with surface science results reported by Longwitz et al. (2004) [5]. In addition, surface coverages of hydrogen in the presence of CO suggest a limiting effect on hydrogen spillover by CO. Regeneration of Pt/C at 80 °C in H2 after CO exposure showed only a partial recovery of Pt sites. However, enough CO-free Pt sites existed to easily achieve equilibrium conversion for H2-D2 exchange. This paper establishes the baseline and methodology for a series of future studies where the additional effects of Nafion and humidity will be investigated.  相似文献

ZnIn2S4/CdIn2S4 composite photocatalysts (x = 0–1) were successfully synthesized via a hydrothermal route. Compositions of ZnIn2S4/CdIn2S4 composite photocatalysts were optimized according to the photocatalytic H2 evolution rate. XRD patterns indicate the as-prepared samples are mixtures of hexagonal and cubic structures. FESEM and TEM images show that the as-prepared samples are composed of flower-like microspheres with wide distribution of diameter. There is obviously distinguishing distribution of Zn, Cd elements among the composite architectures. UV–vis absorption spectra of different compositions exhibit that absorption edges of ZnIn2S4/CdIn2S4 composites slightly move towards longer wavelengths with the increment of CdIn2S4 component. A typical time course of photocatalytic H2 evolution from an aqueous Na2SO3 and Na2S solution over unloaded and PdS-loaded ZnIn2S4/CdIn2S4 composite photocatalyst is carried out. The initial activity for H2 evolution over 0.75 wt% PdS-loaded sample is up to 780 μmol h−1. And the activity of unloaded sample also reaches 490 μmol h−1 with consistent stability.  相似文献

A novel Ir0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode has been synthesized by thermal decomposition of mixed H2IrCl6 and Mn(NO3)2 water solution. The Ir0.5Mn0.5O2 cathode has been characterized by XRD, field emission SEM (FESEM) and AC impedance spectroscopy. XRD result shows that rutile-structured Ir0.5Mn0.5O2 phase is formed by thermal decomposition of mixed H2IrCl6 and Mn(NO3)2 water solution. FESEM micrographs show that a porous structure with well-necked particles forms in the cathode after sintering at 1000 °C. The average grain size is between 20 and 30 nm. Two depressed arcs appear in the medium-frequency and low-frequency region, indicating that there are at least two different processes in the cathode reaction: charge transfer and molecular oxygen dissociation followed by surface diffusion. The minimum area specific resistance (ASR) is 0.67 Ω cm2 at 800 °C. The activation energy for the total oxygen reduction reaction is 93.7 kJ mol−1. The maximum power densities of the Ir0.5Mn0.5O2/LSGM/Pt cell are 43.2 and 80.7 mW cm−2 at 600 and 700 °C, respectively.  相似文献

Photo-assisted H2 evolution has been realized over the new heterosystem CuFeO2/SnO2 without any noble metal and was studied in connection with some physical parameters. The delafossite CuFeO2 has been prepared by thermal decomposition from various salts. The polarity of generated voltage is positive indicating that the materials exhibit p-type conductivity whereas the electroneutrality is achieved by oxygen insertion. The plot of the logarithm (conductivity) vs. T−1 gives average activation energy of 0.12 eV. CuFeO2 is a narrow band gap semiconductor with an optical gap of 1.32 eV. The oxide was characterized photoelectrochemically; its conduction band (−1.09 VRHE) is located below that of SnO2 (−0.86 VRHE) at pH ∼13.5 itself more negative than the H2O/H2 level leading to a thermodynamically favorable H2 evolution under visible irradiation. The sensitizer CuFeO2, working as an electron pump, is stable towards photocorrosion by hole consumption reactions involving the reducing agents X2− (=S2O32− and SO32−). The photoactivity was dependent on the precursor and the best performance (0.026 ml h−1 mg−1) was obtained in S2O32− (pH ∼13.5) over CuFeO2 synthesized from nitrate with a mass ratio (CuFeO2/SnO2) equal to unity. A quantum yield of 0.5% was obtained under polychromatic light. H2 liberation occurs concomitantly with the oxidation of S2O32− to dithionate and sulfate. The tendency towards saturation, in a closed system, is mainly ascribed to the competitive reduction of the end product S2O62−.  相似文献

One-dimensional (1D) Pt/TiO2 hybrid nanofibers (HNFs) with different concentrations of Pt were fabricated by a facile two-step synthesis route combining an electrospinning technique and calcination process. X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) results showed that the Pt nanoparticles (NPs) with the size of 5–10 nm were well dispersed in the TiO2 nanofibers (NFs). Further investigations from the UV–Vis diffuse reflectance (DR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis revealed that some Pt ions were incorporated into the TiO2 lattice as Pt4+ state, which contributed to the visible light absorption of TiO2 NFs. Meanwhile, the Pt2+ ions existing on the surface of Pt NPs resulted in the formation of Pt–O–Ti bond at Pt NPs/TiO2 NFs interfaces that might serve as an effective channel for improving the charge transfer. The as-electrospun Pt/TiO2 HNFs exhibited remarkable activities for photocatalytic H2 evolution under visible light irradiation in the presence of l-ascorbic acid as the sacrificial agent. In particular, the optimal HNFs containing 1.0 at% Pt showed the H2 evolution rate of 2.91 μmol h−1 and apparent quantum efficiency of 0.04% at 420 nm by using only 5 mg of photocatalysts. The higher photocatalytic activity could be ascribed to the appropriate amount of Pt ions doping and excellent electron-sink effect of Pt NPs co-catalysts.  相似文献

New Pt/C cathodes with many reaction sites for the oxygen reduction reaction as well as high tolerance to Pt corrosion have been designed for high-temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), wherein a composite mixture of Sn0.9In0.1P2O7 (SIPO) and sulfonated polystyrene-b-poly(ethylene/butylene)-b-polystyrene (sSEBS) functioned as an ionomer. The microstructure of the Pt-SIPO-sSEBS/C cathode was characterized by homogeneous distribution of the ionomer over the catalyst layer and close contact between the ionomer and the Pt/C powder. As a result, the activation and concentration overpotentials of the Pt-SIPO-sSEBS/C cathode between 100 and 200 °C were lower than those of an H3PO4-impregnated Pt/C cathode, which suggests that the present ionomer can avoid poisoning of Pt by phosphate anions and the limitation of gas diffusion through the catalyst layer. Moreover, agglomeration of Pt in the Pt-SIPO-sSEBS/C cathode was not observed during a durability test at 150 °C for 6 days, although it was significant in the Pt-H3PO4/C cathode. Therefore, it is concluded that the Pt-SIPO-sSEBS/C electrode is a very promising cathode candidate for high-temperature PEMFCs.  相似文献

Catalytic behaviors of TiO2-, Zr0.5Ti0.5O2-, and ZrO2-supported Ni catalysts were investigated for oxidative steam reforming of n-C4H10 at 723 K. The composite oxide support, Zr0.5Ti0.5O2, shows high specific surface area (136 m2/g), leading to fine Ni particles. Thus, the Ni/Zr0.5Ti0.5O2 catalyst exhibits higher and more stable activity than that exhibited by other catalysts. However, relatively large amounts of coke are deposited on the catalyst during reaction. Thus, to retard carbon deposition, the influence of SiO2 additive was studied. Large amounts of SiO2 additive (5 or 10 mol%) decrease initial activity; at 10 mol%, degradation is also induced by oxidation of Ni0. However, small amounts of SiO2 additive (1.5 mol%) effectively retard coking without lowering initial activity. The resultant Ni/Zr0.5Ti0.5O2–SiO2 (1.5 mol%) catalyst exhibits high and stable activity without coking.  相似文献
