蓝牙自适应分组选择策略与选择重传算法研究

Performance Evaluation of a Logical Link Control Protocol for an ATM Air Interface

The paper deals with error control proceduresbased on repetitions necessary for an ATM air interface,which enables a full integration of wireless (W) ATMterminals into a fixed ATM network. The architecture and functionality of an additional LLC layer atthe air interface are explained. A set of ARQ protocolsfor the different ATM service classes is investigated.The protocol for VBR services is able to control the number of retransmissions depending on therequirements on maximum delay and residual cell lossratio. It also takes into account instantaneousconditions such as channel load from other sources.Furthermore, the protocol is able to discard ATM cells toavoid and resolve congestion. The performance of theprotocol has been evaluated by simulations.

Automated Verification of the Connection Management Aspects of the IEEE 802.2 Logical Link Control Protocol

This paper discusses the verification of the connection management aspects of the IEEE 802.2 logical link control (LLC) protocol standard for local area networks. An automated protocol development technique is used to verify a subset of the protocol with respect to the protocol properties of completeness, deadlock freeness, boundedness, and termination. These properties are found to hold for the subset of the protocol analyzed here. The technique is also used to derive user event sequences for some interesting subsets of the protocol. These user event sequences together make up a partial service specification of the protocol.     

Performance Analysis of the ATM Adaptation Layer 2 (AAL2)

In this paper, we analyze the performance of AAL2 multiplexer for a continuous time Markovian arrival process. AAL2 CPS (Common Part Sublayer) packets are multiplexed in the AAL2 multiplexing queue and transmitted in the transmission queue. This tandem structure suggests that the statistics of AAL2 CPS requires at least 2 dimensional state space. Furthermore, from a network-level point of view, cell multiplexing and de-multiplexing procedures are repeated at each AAL2 switching node. That requires simple analysis model. To solve this problem, we reduce the state space by showing that the output process of multiplexing queue can be modeled with the Coxian distribution. We propose a single dimension analysis model of the CPS transmission queue. When AAL2 convey both real and non real time short packets, QoS management is a problem. This is because the QoS of real time as well as non-real time packets is measured using different metrics – delay and cell loss ratio respectively. Most previous work is concentrated around delay performance due to the real time applications getting the primary attention. From the direct comparison of delay and CLR performance, we show that delay constraint is the dominant parameter in QoS of AAL2.
