Rohstoffversorgung der Spanplattenindustrie in der Bundesrepublik

The particle board industry is the most important user of pulpwood besides the pulp and paper industry. In addition, the industry uses large amounts of industrial wood residues. The ratio of pulpwood and residues at present is about 60:40. The report analyses both the resources presently available and such new materials which are being used partly, but will be used on a larger scale in future. The amounts of the various types of raw materials are specified.     

Erfahrungen mit Isocyanaten in der Spanplattenindustrie

In 1973, after about 2 years of industrial particleboard manufacture, polymer diphenylmethane-diisocyanate (PMDI), a new adhesive with unusual properties was introduced. More than 10 year’s proof in practice, at about two million cubicmeters of polyurea-bound boards have shown the durability of the new type of binding. The higher price, as compared to usual resins, led to only a pertial substitution in those fields, where the technical superiority, of the new type of binding, such as the missing formaldehyde release is of special importance.     

Qualitätsbestimmte Regelung in der Spanplattenindustrie

Real time quality control is feasible with the measuring instruments, the data networks and the statistical algorithms available at present. Real time quality control is at least as safe as the conventional. Shewart control chart procedure, but can be done on line. In addition to RTQ optimal control can be introduced, giving considerable savings in production cost. The procedure is applicable to similar process industries.     

Sicherheitsaspekte bei Automatisierungsvorgängen in der Spanplattenindustrie

Automatic production lines in particleboard plants involve a large energy input compared to other wood processing industries. Generally a large energy input entails greater accident risks. The financial burden resulting from industrial accidents in trade group “Particle-board Production” within the last years with almost constant number of employees, has increased for our association as carrier of statutory insurance. Investigations made by our technical supervisor service in a work study reveal sections of accident concentration in particleboard production and show safety aspects.     

Die Novellierung der TA-Luft—Auswirkungen auf die Spanplattenindustrie

The amendment to TA-Luft (Technical Regulation— Air) has substantially changed certain fields of environmental regulations (protection against immission). This paper describes the basis for the new regulations in TA-Luft and consequences for the particleboard industry are discussed in detail.     

Einsparungsmöglichkeiten in der Spanplattenindustrie durch Prozeßautomatisierung

The present state of production systems in particleboard production can be termed semi-automated. In some fields such as drying, gluing and mat forming closed feed-back systems are already in use. For a full utilization of the entire savings potential, progress in the development of process control systems must be advanced. Examples from the fields of service and maintenance demonstrate that cost savings are feasible based on a compilation of operating data for anticipated information on production progress. Important steps towards process control systems will be the feed-back to the process of data compiled and evaluated during operating processes, as well as the performance of control processes based on process models. Although current production systems still have a long way to go, it is important to develop and discuss firm objectives in this rapidly expanding field.     

Langholz-Zerspaner für die Spanplattenindustrie Entwicklung und Stand der Technik

Zusammenfassung Das immer st?rker werdende Verlangen der Forstwirtschaft. Langholz auch an Spanplattenwerke liefern zu k?nnen, zwingt diese sich darauf einzustellen. Das Abl?ngen von in fallenden L?ngen oder in Kranl?ngen angeliefertem Waldholz auf dem Werksplatz zur Zerspanung in Kurzholzzerspanern stellt nur noch eine übergangsl?sung dar. Die entsprechende Maschinenbauindustrie stellt eigens für diesen Zweck gebaute Langholz-Zerspaner her, die sehr schnell Eingang in die Spanplattenindustrie fanden. Es wird über die schon viele Jahre laufende Entwicklung zum Langholz-Zerspaner und über den gegenw?rtigen Stand der Technik berichtet.

Chippers for long logs in the particle board industry development and stand of technique

Summary The increasing demand to supply the particle board industry with long logs has become an important task for forestry. The cutting of logs from original lengths and crane lengths in the log yard for chipping with shortwood-chippers may be considered as a provisional arrangement only. The machine-building industry produces for this purpose chippers for long logs which have found a ready market in particle board industry. In the following, the development in the field of long log chippers during the past years is dealt with, and the present stand of technique is discussed.

     

Kontinuierliche Preßverfahren in der Spanplattenindustrie—Verfahrensbedingte Ersparnisse und Platteneigenschaften

Important economical and technical reasons advocate a return to continuous pressing processes in particleboard production. Continuous pressing achieves boards with improved density profiles. This, in turn, leads to remarkable savings in material, energy, processing and storage costs, greater capacifies and other advantages, which are elaborated in comparison to conventional single-daylight presses. A preview is given on possibilities of applying finish-foil in a socalled one-step-process. A subsequent paper will discuss details concerning machinery and processing in modern continuous pressing plants.     

Beitrag zum Nachweis der Kurzzeit-Erhitzung der Milch

Zusammenfassung Es wurde festgestellt, daß durch das neue Kurzzeit-Erhitzungsverfahren die diastatische Kraft der Milch erheblich geschwächt wird. Der Nachweis dieser Erhitzung gelingt gut nach der ergänzten Methode von Bengen und Bohm. Auch das Verfahren von Weinstein ist bei der Kurzzeit-Erhitzung gut anzuwenden.
