《机械设计制图》新教学模式探究与实践

高等学校课程双语教学存在的问题与对策 ——以食品包装学课程为例

高等学校课程双语教学对培养国际化人才有着重要的作用。沈阳农业大学在食品包装学课程双语教学实践中发现,双语教学存在授课教师双语教学经验欠缺、英文授课能力不高、学生外语水平难以应对双语教学、双语教学方法还有待深入探讨、双语教材的发展滞后等问题。必须提高教师的专业水平与英语表达能力,探究双语教学的方法与手段,加强双语教材建设,为培养合格的国际化专业人才奠定基础。

Developing Problem Solving Skills: The McMaster Problem Solving Program

This paper describes a 25-year project in which we defined problem solving, identified effective methods for developing students' skill in problem solving, implemented a series of four required courses to develop the skill, and evaluated the effectiveness of the program. Four research projects are summarized in which we identified which teaching methods failed to develop problem solving skill and which methods were successful in developing the skills. We found that students need both comprehension of Chemical Engineering and what we call general problem solving skill to solve problems successfully. We identified 37 general problem solving skills. We use 120 hours of workshops spread over four required courses to develop the skills. Each skill is built (using content-independent activities), bridged (to apply the skill in the content-specific domain of Chemical Engineering) and extended (to use the skill in other contexts and contents and in everyday life). The tests and examinations of process skills, TEPS, that assess the degree to which the students can apply the skills are described. We illustrate how self-assessment was used.     

数字化印刷背景下印刷图文信息处理专业教育改革

随着数字化印刷技术的发展,中国高等学校印刷图文信息处理专业原有的教育模式凸显出了技术滞后、教师缺乏专业实践及生产经验、学生的实践性教学环境尚不能满足生产性实训要求等问题,必须采取以下措施,才能培养满足社会需求的专业人才:加强专业课程体系的构建;加强专业知识结构的调整;根据现实变化,优化课程内容;改进教育模式和教学手段,提高教学效果;创建校办实训工厂,增加学生实践机会;加强师资队伍建设,提高专业教师的教学水平。     

浅析技工学校专业英语教学策略

中国的圜际化步伐不断的加快，我们在现实生活中也能感受到，外国的产品越来越多，外国人也越来越多的来到中国，而我们身边的一些人也都纷纷的出国旅行、一作或是留学。这在几十年前还是新鲜事，但是在今天却成了司空见惯的事情，通过这些变化，可以看出中国与世界接轨的程度，英语的学习在我们的生活中也是十分重要的。英语教学对于任何一个学校都是必不可少的，技工学校也不例外，由于资本主义圜家、特别是英语国家的科学技术在世界上处于领先地位，技工学校所教授的课程又是与前沿科技的相关性十分密切的。本文通过对技工学校英语教学的现状分析，找出其存在的问题，进而指出解决问题的相关对策。

Crowdsourcing-Based Framework for Teaching Quality Evaluation and Feedback Using Linguistic 2-Tuple

Crowdsourcing is widely used in various fields to collect goods and services from large participants. Evaluating teaching quality by collecting feedback from experts or students after class is not only delayed but also not accurate. In this paper, we present a crowdsourcing-based framework to evaluate teaching quality in the classroom using a weighted average operator to aggregate information from students’ questionnaires described by linguistic 2-tuple terms. Then we define crowd grade based on similarity degree to distinguish contribution from different students and minimize the abnormal students’ impact on the evaluation. The crowd grade would be updated at the end of each feedback so it can guarantee the evaluation accurately. Moreover, a simulated case is shown to illustrate how to apply this framework to assess teaching quality in the classroom. Finally, we developed a prototype and carried out some experiments on a series of real questionnaires and two sets of modified data. The results show that teachers can locate the weak points of teaching and furthermore to identify the abnormal students to improve the teaching quality. Meanwhile, our approach provides a strong tolerance for the abnormal student to make the evaluation more accurate.

A Rubric for Evaluating Essays from Non-structural Perspective

Composition writing is part of College English teaching. Students＇ problems in writing fall into two categories： structural problems and non-structural problems. The former cover problems with grammar, punctuation, capitalization, word spelling, and organization of paragraphs. The latter are related to cohesion and coherence. However, there has been lack of detailed and feasible rubrics for evaluating students＇ compositions. By analyzing 50 published English expository essays from English fast reading materials we got clearer idea about authentic assessment~ in turn, presented a rubric for evaluating students＇ essays, especially from non-structural perspective. It is hoped that English teachers will work out more effective means by which compositions are more objectively evaluated and more reasonably graded.     

论运输包装动力学课程教学

运输包装动力学课程是包装工程专业的主干课程之一,该课程在教学上还存在许多问题,而包装行业的发展却给该课程的教学提出了新的要求。因此,教师在设置教学环节方面必须做到课堂讲授、实验教学、课程设计并重,重视培养学生的设计能力;在教材选用方面,教师应根据学生就业或升学的不同,综合不同类别的教材,在教授中各有侧重,以培养出符合社会要求的应用型人才。     

Developing Critical Writing Skills in Engineering and Technology Students

This study culminated in the development, refinement, and evaluation of a system of writing instruction that allows even instructors without great confidence in their own writing abilities to help students develop better, more effective writing skills and strategies. The system consists of two components and works backwards, starting with teaching students the assessment strategy (rubric) to be used in evaluating their work. Therefore, the first system component or rubric becomes a guide to teach students how to connect their ideas (sentence subjects) in sequence without ambiguity or implied connectivity. The second component of the system consists of written assignments initiated with “work orders” that state specifically what is expected of the student in each paragraph and includes formatting instructions. Finally, the system was designed for use in any technical curriculum by engineering and technology instructors and incorporates research findings and suggestions by four influential professional writing associations: 1) the college teachers of English for Science and Technology (EST), 2) the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) Committee on Assessment, 3) the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and 4) Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC).     

Analytic Hierarchy Process for Evaluating Flipped Classroom Learning

In reality, the flipped classroom has gained popularity as a modern way of structuring teaching, where lectures move from in-class procedures to digitally-based assignments, freeing up the debate, and practice exercises class time. Therefore, it is essential to implement and analyze a way of teaching that will improve student performance. The paper aims to develop a model of the method of teaching science in Iraqi schools, and to assess whether teaching flipped classroom affects the achievement, motivation, and creative thinking of students by using the methodology of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) in the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The AHP approach includes several steps, including setting assessment criteria and their weights, and by assessing the methodology of the flipped classroom as compared to the conventional cognitive learning process. An experiment was carried out in Iraqi secondary schools to examine the attitude of the students towards the subject of Chemistry. The findings have indicated that the students and teachers favored flipped classroom learning more than conventional cognitive learning. The study took the following parameters compared to the traditional approach: teaching techniques, learning flexibility, teaching aids effectiveness, student participation and working environment. This paper indicates that the teachers in Iraqi schools will be able to improve and do more preparation to shift towards flipped learning in the classroom.     

Research on Digital and Analog Electronic Experiment Teaching Course Management based on UltraLab Network Experiment Platform

Digital circuit and analog circuit courses are basic courses for students of science and engineering universities. Among them,the practical courses are of great significance for students to master the knowledge of electronics. In order to make teachers teaching more efficiently and students studying more quickly,how to update the experimental course in teaching reform is the key point. This paper analyzing the present situation of teaching in the digital circuit and analog circuit courses,the teaching questions in universities. On the basis of it,the innovation measures of experimental teaching methods and contents are discussed. Our school tries to introduce the UltraLab network experiment platform,reform and optimize the teaching methods of related courses.And it' s accelerating the construction and development of emerging engineering education' s process,reducing effectively the teacher's time for managing in equipment,improving the students' ability to use instruments.     

Study on Training Innovation Ability of Forestry and Agricultural Mechanical Post-graduates

For training forestry and agricultural mechanical post-graduates' innovation ability. This paper studied some problems hindering students improvement,mean value and standard deviation of time management tendency of students were researched. The results showed,graduate enthusiasm should be mobilized,curriculum should be optimized,new teaching methods should be introduced,practice should be strengthened and paid more attention,a strict system of management and evaluation should be established.
