A decision feedback equalizer (DFE) with correct tap weights operating on a noisy channel is considered. We show how the results concerning a noiseless channel can be extended to yield tight bounds on the stationary error probability performance for the noisy case. In this correspondence we determine an upper bound on the error recovery time of a decision feedback equalizer (DFE) operating on a high signal to noise ratio channel of exponential impulse response to be used for binary transmission. Two algorithms are presented for optimum timing recovery in digitally implemented equalizers. The first one is a polarity-type algorithm based on the conventional minimum mean-square error criterion. A theoretical analysis is made to characterize the algorithm phase detector and evaluate its steady-state phase jitter variance. Influence of various channel and system design parameters on the algorithm performance is illustrated using phase jitter probability densities obtained by means of computer simulations. Interaction of the algorithm with decision-directed carrier recovery is also examined. It is shown that interaction with carrier recovery may considerably degrade the timing acquisition performance, and a second algorithm is then presented which eliminates this interaction. The second algorithm is based on the minimization of a modified mean-square error criterion which provides a measure of the intersymbol interference, independently of the carrier phase. Decision-directed timing and carrier recoveries are thus decoupled and the system startup period is considerably reduced. Phase detector characteristic and steady-state jitter performance of the second algorithm are evaluated by analytical means and computer simulations, as in the first algorithm. 相似文献

针对通信系统中带内噪声及干扰的滤波问题,提出一种基于最低误码率准则的非线性几何特征均衡器.考虑到噪声与干扰具有不同的统计特性,本文所建立的均衡模型把匹配滤波器输出映射到特征空间,使信号与干扰在特征空间形成不同的几何特征,再用Volterra序列予以分离,而分离是基于最低误码率准则.仿真表明:对于扩展的二元相移键控信号,在相对强的调频信号、调幅信号及噪声的联合干扰下,匹配滤波器和基于最小均方误差准则的线性均衡器均已失效,而几何特征均衡器仍能表现出良好的性能,并且基于奇次三阶Volterra序列的几何特征均衡器更具实用价值. 相似文献

Minimum Mean-Squared Error Iterative Successive Parallel Arbitrated Decision Feedback Detectors for DS-CDMA Systems 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper we propose minimum mean squared error (MMSE) iterative successive parallel arbitrated decision feedback (DF) receivers for direct sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) systems. We describe the MMSE design criterion for DF multiuser detectors along with successive, parallel and iterative interference cancellation structures. A novel efficient DF structure that employs successive cancellation with parallel arbitrated branches and a near-optimal low complexity user ordering algorithm are presented. The proposed DF receiver structure and the ordering algorithm are then combined with iterative cascaded DF stages for mitigating the deleterious effects of error propagation for convolutionally encoded systems with both Viterbi and turbo decoding as well as for uncoded schemes. We mathematically study the relations between the MMSE achieved by the analyzed DF structures, including the novel scheme, with imperfect and perfect feedback. Simulation results for an uplink scenario assess the new iterative DF detectors against linear receivers and evaluate the effects of error propagation of the new cancellation methods against existing ones. 相似文献

The performance of decision feedback equalizers (DFE's) working on a noiseless channel with correct tap weights is studied. We show that the space of channel parameters can accordingly be partitioned into a finite number of sets. The error recovery performance of a DFE is the same for all DFE's within one such set, and is determinable. We also discuss some tight bounds for recovery time statistics, which are particularly important when the number of equalizer taps is not small. We argue that minimum phase or near minimum phase character for the channel does not necessarily guarantee short recovery time. 相似文献

信道估计的准确程度直接影响到联合检测算法的性能。传统的信道估计算法将其他小区用户的信号均作为白噪声来处理,因此影响了信道估计的准确性。该文提出基于最小均方误差准则的联合多小区信道估计算法,由于改变了信道估计矩阵的结构,将邻小区强干扰用户也作为可以检测的用户信号来处理,降低了信道估计中噪声功率。该算法不仅适用于多小区联合检测,也可用于单小区联合检测。与传统的Steiner信道估计算法相比,新算法在存在邻小区同频干扰的情况下,能够很大程度提高信道估计的精度,进而大幅提升TD-SCDMA系统的性能。 相似文献

本文介绍了一种将正交频分复用(OFDM)技术和码分多址(CDMA)技术相结合的多载波CDMA (MC-CDMA)系统,分析了MC-CDMA系统的发射端和接收端的结构,建立了MC-CDMA系统的信号模型,详细分析了MC-CDMA中的多址干扰形式,以及针对MC-CDMA系统的多用户检测原理,提出了一种基于最小误码率准则的多用户检测算法。理想的基于最小误码率准则的多用户检测算法在实际中难于实现,本文采用估计概率密度函数的方法,推导出了一种自适应实现的最小误码率多用户检测算法。仿真结果表明,该算法能够有效抑制多址干扰,降低误码率,同时,该算法还具有比基于最小均方误差准则的多用户检测器更低的误码率的优点。 相似文献
