在无线传感器网络中,传感节点由于采用电池供电,因此寿命有限。如何有效节省传感器节点的能量,延长网络的使用寿命,一直是广泛研究的焦点。文章提出一种适用于高冗余度布置的无线传感器网络结构中,节省传感器节点能量消耗的方法-接续调度法。该方法通过协调点对小区域内节点的调度,使区域内节点依次分时段工作。通过这种接续调度,避免了节点间的冲突和串扰,达到延长整体网络寿命的效果。  相似文献

Reducing the energy consumption of network nodes is one of the most important problems for routing in wireless sensor networks because of the battery limitation in each sensor. This paper presents a new ant colony optimization based routing algorithm that uses special parameters in its competency function for reducing energy consumption of network nodes. In this new proposed algorithm called life time aware routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks (LTAWSN), a new pheromone update operator was designed to integrate energy consumption and hops into routing choice. Finally, with the results of the multiple simulations we were able to show that LTAWSN, in comparison with the previous ant colony based routing algorithm, energy aware ant colony routing algorithms for the routing of wireless sensor networks, ant colony optimization-based location-aware routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks and traditional ant colony algorithm, increase the efficiency of the system, obtains more balanced transmission among the nodes and reduce the energy consumption of the routing and extends the network lifetime.  相似文献

Congestion control in wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is crucial. In this article, we discuss congestion control and the adaptive load-aware problem for sensor nodes in WSNs. When the traffic load of a specific node exceeds its the available capacity of the node, a congestion problem occurs because of buffer memory overflow. Congestion may cause serious problems such as packet loss, the consumption of power, and low network throughput for sensor nodes. To address these problems, we propose a distributed congestion control protocol called adaptive load-aware congestion control protocol (ALACCP). The protocol can adaptively allocate the appropriate forwarding rate for jammed sensor nodes to mitigate the congestion load. Through the buffer management mechanism, the congestion index of neighboring sensor nodes, and an adjustment of the adaptive forwarding rate, the degree of congestion is alleviated markedly. The performance in allocating the forwarding rate effectively to neighboring sensor nodes also improves. The ALACCP can avoid packet loss because of traffic congestion, reduce the power consumption of nodes, and improve the network throughput. Simulation results revealed that the proposed ALACCP can effectively improve network performance and maintain the fairness of networks.  相似文献

数据存储是无线传感器网络中数据管理的基础操作.在移动低占空比传感网中,由于节点的移动性,每个节点需要频繁更新邻居节点集合,使得节点能量消耗过大;同时,节点大部分时间处于睡眠状态,仅在少部分时间内苏醒工作,造成数据备份的通信延迟过大.提出一种快速的低能耗数据保存机制.首先,源节点基于连续时间序列对感知数据进行分段线性拟合压缩;接着,节点根据预估故障概率和存储空间大小,计算出合理的压缩数据备份数量.在此基础上,设计一种动态自适应传输协议.实验仿真表明,与已有存储算法比较,该机制具有更低的传输能耗和通信延迟.  相似文献

为降低通信频率对节点能耗的影响同时提高大规模节点下传感器网络的连通率,本文设计了一种以发布/订阅模型作为应用层数据交互方式的无线传感器网络。该网络利用6LoWPAN技术实现组网,并以Contiki操作系统为平台完成了基于发布/订阅模型的MQTT-S应用层协议设计。测试结果表明,该设计能够有效降低节点的通信流量,实现对节点功耗以及网络通信优化,并能与互联网实现无缝连接减少开发成本,对大规模传感器网络的设计与应用具有重要意义。  相似文献

多路径数据传输是无线传感器网络亟需解决的一个关键问题.本文针对节点故障、链路失效和外界干扰影响网络稳定性和可靠性,提出一种基于混合蛙跳算法的无线传感器网络多路径传输策略.首先我们详细介绍了蛙跳算法及其原理,之后我们将其应用到无线传感器网络多路径传输策略之中,接着运用混合蛙跳算法对传感网络节点其进行更新、划分、重组以便选择出最优节点建立传输最优路径,提高网络的稳定性和可靠性.通过算法仿真与结果对比提出的算法与AODV、粒子群PSO算法相比,在网络能耗、传输时延、丢包率、连通率和可靠度等方面都具有较好的性能.其中网络能耗比AODV、PSO算法降低了62.5%和35.8%.  相似文献

Nodes deployment is a fundamental factor in determining the connectivity, coverage, lifetime and cost of wireless sensor networks. In this paper, a two-tiered wireless sensor networks consisting of sensor clusters and a base station is considered. Within a sensor cluster, there are many sensor nodes and a relay node. We focus on the deployment strategy for sensor nodes and relay nodes to minimize cost under some constraints. Several means are used. The regular hexagonal cell architecture is employed to build networks. Based on the analysis of energy consumption of sensors and cost of network, an integer programming model is presented to minimize the cost. By the model, number of layers of sensor cluster is determined. In order to balance the energy consumption of sensors on the identical layer, a uniform load routing algorithm is used. The numerical analysis and simulation results show that the waste of energy and cost of wireless sensor networks can be effectively reduced by using the strategy.  相似文献

Wireless network sensing and control systems are becoming increasingly important in many application domains due to advent of nanotechnology. The size of a wireless sensor network can easily reach hundreds or even thousands of sensor nodes. Since these types of networks usually have limited battery resources, power consumption optimization for prolonging system lifetime of such networks have received a great attention by the researchers in this field in recent years. In this paper, a centralized approach for clustering and data transmission mechanism is proposed that optimizes the power consumption and hence lifetime of the network. The mechanism is comprised of two phases. In the first phase, a mechanism based on a centralized cluster head selection that utilizes information such as nodes residual energies and their locations in the network is proposed in order to select the most appropriate candidates as cluster heads. In the second phase, the concept of a “window size” is introduced where minimization of the number of cluster head changes of a node and consequently maximization of the network lifetime is considered. Simulation results validate that the proposed mechanism does effectively reduce data traffic and therefore increases network lifetime.  相似文献

One way to reduce energy consumption in wireless sensor networks is to reduce the number of active nodes in the network. When sensors are redundantly deployed, a subset of sensors should be selected to actively monitor the field (referred to as a "cover"), whereas the rest of the sensors should be put to sleep to conserve their batteries. In this paper, a learning automata based algorithm for energy-efficient monitoring in wireless sensor networks (EEMLA) is proposed. Each node in EEMLA algorithm is equipped with a learning automaton which decides for the node to be active or not at any time during the operation of the network. Using feedback received from neighboring nodes, each node gradually learns its proper state during the operation of the network. Experimental results have shown that the proposed monitoring algorithm in comparison to other existing methods such as Tian and LUC can better prolong the network lifetime.  相似文献

在无线传感器网络中,设计合理的节点调度算法是提高网络感知能力、降低系统能耗的关键。在分析节点能耗模型的基础上,针对移动目标跟踪型网络应用,提出一种高能效的无线传感器网络自适应节点调度算法ANSTT。该算法根据节点对移动目标的感知能力,以及节点的相对剩余能量水平,自动调整节点工作模式。仿真实验表明,ANSTT算法在维持低感知延时、高目标感知率的同时,可有效降低系统能耗,延长网络寿命。  相似文献

Nowadays, it is unusual for an electronic system to be without sensors, thus sensing plays an important part in everyday life. To this, the field of image processing is an added advantage as it stores image data and makes it readily available for parallel processing. The wireless sensor nodes over heterogeneous networks exhibit radio communication always with highest energy consumption. Multicore processors are more suitable for real time applications compared to traditional modern microcontrollers of sensor nodes in terms of improvement in their energy consumption rate. To significantly reduce the energy consumption, the usage of off-the-shelf low power microcontroller with appropriate processing core has to be considered. The proposed CEMulti-core architecture incorporated with the MIPS single core processor and multicore processor is simulated and the experimental results are compared and analyzed for their speedup, clock cycles and the time required for execution. Thus enabling the sensor node over heterogeneous networks to process large sized images with increase in energy efficiency.  相似文献

In the wireless sensor networks, high efficient data routing for the limited energy resource networks is an important issue. By introducing Ant-colony algorithm, this paper proposes the wireless sensor network routing algorithm based on LEACH. During the construction of sensor network clusters, to avoid the node premature death because of the energy consumption, only the nodes whose residual energy is higher than the average energy can be chosen as the cluster heads. The method of repeated division is used to divide the clusters in sensor networks so that the numbers of the nodes in each cluster are balanced. The basic thought of ant-colony algorithm is adopted to realize the data routing between the cluster heads and sink nodes, and the maintenance of routing. The analysis and simulation showed that the proposed routing protocol not only can reduce the energy consumption, balance the energy consumption between nodes, but also prolong the network lifetime.  相似文献

The energy consumption in the wireless sensor networks is a very critical issue which attracts immediate attention for the sake of the growing demand of the billion dollar market in future. The Dynamic Power Management (DPM) technique is a way of controlling and saving the energy usage in a sensor node. Previously, researchers have proposed lifetime improving stochastic models for wireless sensor networks and limited work has been done focusing on the wireless sensor node. This paper proposes an analyser based Semi-Markov model for DPM in the event-driven sensor node. The power consumption comparison with previously proposed models without this analyser shows the analyser significant contributes to lifetime improvement. The improved model is more power efficient, presents how the DPM model observes the input event arrival and power states of the sensor node components, and then dynamically manages the power consumption of the overall system. Further, to observe the effect of event arrival, missed events, waiting time, processor utilization on the power consumption and lifetime, the proposed DPM system with the single server queuing model is developed.  相似文献

Recent technological advances in microelectronics and nano-systems technologies have made it feasible to equip wireless sensor nodes with small low-cost cameras to capture and transmit video. Wireless video sensor networks are gaining popularity due to numerous potential applications such as video surveillance, environmental and habitat monitoring, and so on. However, due to the limited battery available in wireless video sensor nodes, provisioning of QoS in such a network is a challenging task. We provide a survey on the major issues related to QoS provisioning in wireless video sensor networks and possible solution approaches. A dynamic power management framework is proposed for a wireless video sensor node to improve energy saving performance so that the lifetime of the sensor node can be increased. This framework considers the video traffic arrival process in the sensor node, the sleep and wakeup processes in the camera and wireless transceiver electronics, the queue status, and the wireless channel condition. Performance analysis results show that the proposed mechanism can achieve considerable energy saving in a sensor node while providing a target level of QoS performance.  相似文献
