In this study, the methodology of shift reagents was exploited to distinguish cis and trans unsaturation in oils and fats. The differential binding of silver ions (in the form of AgFOD) to cis and trans double bonds allowed the separation of the allylic and olefinic proton signals in the 1H NMR spectra of mixtures of cis and trans methyl esters of monoene aliphatic acids and unsaturated triacylglycerol mixtures at low frequency spectrometers (300 MHz). Careful integration of the appropriate proton resonances in the recorded quantitative 1H NMR spectra afforded percentage concentrations in very good agreement with the actual values. This 1H NMR methodology was validated by analyzing AOCS Laboratory Proficiency Program GC samples containing various percentages of saturated, cis‐mono unsaturated, and cis‐polyunsaturated fat as well as trans content. This fast and relatively low‐cost NMR methodology could be used on line for obtaining nutrition labeling compositional data (NLCD) required for fat‐containing food products. Attempts to differentiate lipid molecules with different degree of unsaturation and positional distribution of cis double bonds were unsuccessful.  相似文献

The suitability of 13C NMR as a primary method for the analysis of lipids to obtain nutritional labeling compositional data (NLCD), i.e. the percentages of saturated, cis‐monounsaturated, trans‐monounsaturated, and cis‐polyunsaturated fat, was assessed. The 13C NMR methodology was developed by using mixtures of pure triglycerides as model lipids to optimize and standardize scan conditions and spectral pre‐processing procedures, establish fixed integration limits for measurement of the 13C resonances used in the determination of NLCD, and evaluate the quantitative accuracy of the 13C NMR analysis. The standardized 13C NMR methodology allowed the NLCD of the model triacylglycerol mixtures to be determined within ?±1%. To further evaluate the methodology, two sets of validation samples, consisting of ten unhydrogenated oils from the American Oil Chemists' Society Laboratory Proficiency Program (AOCS‐LPP) and two trans‐containing AOCS‐LPP samples combined with three samples from a hydrogenation process, were analyzed. Good overall agreement between the NMR‐determined NLCD (in units of mol‐%) and the mol‐% NLCD calculated for these samples from fatty acid compositional data obtained by gas chromatography was found, including good tracking of the trans content in the second validation set. Given that the NLCD must be expressed on a wt‐% basis to be of practical utility, a means of mol‐% to wt‐% conversion was developed assuming all unsaturates to be C18 and obtaining the weight‐average molecular weight of the saturated fatty acid contributions from the NMR data. This conversion was shown to be especially effective for oil blends, where errors become significant if unit conversion is not done. This work indicates that 13C NMR can provide excellent primary NLCD data, even in wt‐% terms, which can be used for calibrating simpler and automatable instrumental methods such as FTIR spectrometers to determine or screen for NLCD for fats and oils or lipids extracted from food on a routine basis.  相似文献

The common unsaturated fatty acids present in many vegetable oils (oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids) can be quantitated by 1H‐nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H‐NMR). A key feature is that the signals of the terminal methyl group of linolenic acid are shifted downfield from the corresponding signals in the other fatty acids, permitting their separate integration and quantitation of linolenic acid. Then, using the integration values of the signals of the allylic and bis‐allylic protons, oleic and linoleic acids can be quantitated. The procedure was verified for mixtures of triacylglycerols (vegetable oils) and methyl esters of oleic, linoleic and linolenic acids as well as palmitic and stearic acids. Generally, the NMR (400 MHz) results were in good agreement with gas chromatographic (GC) analyses. As the present 1H‐NMR‐based procedure can be applied to neat vegetable oils, the preparation of derivatives for GC would be unnecessary. The present method is extended to quantitating saturated (palmitic and stearic) acids, although in this case the results deviate more strongly from actual values and GC analyses. Alternatives to the iodine value (allylic position equivalents and bis‐allylic position equivalents) can be derived directly from the integration values of the allylic and bis‐allylic protons.  相似文献

Besides some usual fatty acids (FA), two conjugated ene-yne acetylenic FA [trans-10-heptadecen-8-ynoic acid (pyrulic acid) (7.4%), and trans-11-octadecen-9-ynoic acid (ximenynic acid) (3.5%)], a novel ene-yne-ene acetylenic FA [cis-7, trans-11-octadecadiene-9-ynoic acid (heisteric acid) (22.6%)], and 9,10-epoxystearic acid (0.6%) could be identified in the seed oil of Heisteria silvanii (Olacaceae). Two further conjugated acetylenic FA [9,11-octadecadiynoic acid (0.1%) and 13-octadecene-9,11-diynoic acid (0.4%)] were identified tentatively by their mass spectra. The FA mixture has been analyzed by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) of their methyl ester and 4,4-dimethyloxazoline derivatives. The structure of heisteric acid was elucidated after isolation via preparative silver ion thin-layer chromatography and by various spectroscopic methods [ultraviolet; infrared; 1H, 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR); 1H−1H and 1H−13C correlation spectroscopy]. To determine the position of the conjugated ene-yne-ene system, the NMR spectra were also measured after addition of the lanthanide shift reagent Resolve-Al EuFODTM. Furthermore, the triyglyceride mixture was analyzed by high-temperature GC and high-temperature GC coupled with negative chemical ionization MS. A glass capillary column coated with a methoxy-terminated 50%-diphenyl-50%-dimethylpolysiloxane was used for the separation of the triacylglycerol (TAG) species. No evidence of decomposition of the TAG species containing conjugated ene-yne-ene FA was observed. Twenty-six species of the separated TAG were identified by means of their abundant quasi molecular ion [M−H] and their corresponding carboxylate anions [RCOO] of the fatty acids, respectively. The major molecular species of the TAG were found to be 16:0/18:1/18:1, 16:0/18:1/18:3 (heisteric acid), 17:2 (pyrulic acid)/18:1/18:1, 18:1/18:1/18:3 (heisteric acid). The TAG containing acetylenic FA showed an unexpected increase of the retention time in comparison to the TAG containing usual FA, thus making the prediction of the elution order of lipid samples containing acetylenic FA difficult.  相似文献

TAG of butterfat were fractionated according to the type and degree of unsaturation into six fractions by silver-ion HPLC. The fractions containing TAG with either cis-or trans-monoenoic FA were collected and fractionated further by reversed-phase HPLC to obtain fractions containing cis TAG of ACN:DB (acyl carbon number:double bonds) 48∶1, 50∶1, and 52∶1 as well as trans 48∶1, 50∶1, and 52∶1. The FA compositions of these fractions were elucidated by GC. The MW distribution of each fraction was determined by ammonia negative-ion CI-MS. Each of the [M-H] parent ions was fractionated further by collision-induced dissociation with argon, which gave information on the location of cis-and trans-FA between the primary and secondary positions of TAG. The results suggest that the sn-positions of the monoenoic cis-and trans-FA depend on the two other FA present in the molecule. With 14∶0 FA in the TAG molecule, the 18∶1 FA in the sn-2 position are mostly present as cis-isomers. When there is no 14∶0 in the TAG molecule, the trans-18∶1 isomers seem to be more common in the sn-2 position. Also when other long-chain FA are present, the trans-isomers are more likely to be located in the secondary (sn-2) position.  相似文献

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12 CLA on FA composition of TAG in epididymal adipose tissue and liver, and of hepatic phospholipids PL. Twenty-four Syrian Golden hamsters were randomly divided into three groups of eight animals each and fed semipurified atherogenic diets supplemented with either 0.5 g/100g diet of linoleic acid or cis-9, trans-11 or trans-12, cis-9 CLA for 6 wk. Total lipids were extracted, and TAG and PL were separated by TLC. FA profile in lipid species from liver and adipose tissue, as well as in feces, was determined by GC. Trans-10, cis-12 CLA feeding significantly reduced linoleic and linolenic acids in TAG from both tissues, leading to reduced total PUFA content. Moreover, in the epididymal adipose tissue docosenoic and arachidonic acids were significantly increased. In liver PL, although no changes in individual FA were observed, total saturated FA (SFA) were decreased. No changes in TAG and PL FA profiles were induced by the cis-9, trans-11 CLA. TAG and PL incorporated cis-9, trans-11 more readily than trans-11, cis-12 CLA. This difference was not due to differential intestinal absorption, as shown by the analysis of feces. We concluded that only trans-10, cis-12 CLA induces changes in FA composition. Whereas increased PUFA content was observed in either liver or adipose tissue TAG, decreased SFA were found in liver PL. Incorporation of cis-9, trans-11 CLA in TAG is greater than that of trans-10, cis-12 CLA, but this is not due to differences in intestinal absorption.  相似文献

Positional isomers (1-butyryl-2X-3Y-rac-glycerol and 2-butyryl-1X-3Y-rac-glycerol;X,Y=long-chain acyls) of saturated triacylglycerols (TAG) with 34 and 40 acyl carbons were shown to separate in two chromatographic peaks on immobilized phenyl(65%) methylsilicone column by gas-liquid chromatography, and on reversed-phase ODS-1 column by high-performance liquid chromatography. The analysis of 500-MHz1H nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra showed distinct differences between 2-butyryl-1X-3Y-rac-glycerol and 1-butyryl-2X-3Y-rac-glycerol isomers in the resonance signals of methylene and methine protons of glycerol backbone, and carbon-2 methylene of acyl groups, and methyl protons of butyryl group. The1H NMR spectra of three interesterified mixtures of three monoacid TAG containing saturated butyrate and caproate TAG and unsaturated butyrate TAG showed that triplets of methyl protons of butyryl groups atsn-1(3)- andsn-2-positions in saturated and unsaturated TAG had similar chemical shifts and that the chemical shift of caproyl methyl protons was different from those of butyryl methyl protons. The positional distribution of butyryl groups in isolated positional isomers of butyrate TAG, interesterified TAG mixtures, and natural and interesterified butteroil can be determined by integration of these signals.  相似文献

The amounts of 14 conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) isomers (t12t14, t11t13, t10t12, t9t11, t8t10, t7t9, t6t8; 12,14 c/t, t11c13, c11t13, t10c12, 9,11 c/t, t8c10, t7c9‐18:2) in 20 beef samples were determined by triple‐column silver‐ion high‐performance liquid chromatography (Ag+‐HPLC). Quantitation was performed using an external CLA reference standard consisting of cis9,trans11‐18:2,trans9,trans11‐18:2 and cis9,cis11‐18: 2. Linearity was checked as being r > 0.9999 between 0.02 × 10‐3 to 2 mg/ml. The determination limit (5‐fold signal/noise ratio) of the CLA reference was estimated to be 0.25, 0.50, 1.0 ng/injection for the cis/trans, trans, trans and cis,cis isomers, respectively. As expected, cis9,trans11‐18:2 was the predominant isomer (1.95 ± 0.54 mg/g fat) in beef, followed by trans7,cis9‐18:2 (0.19 ± 0.04 mg/g fat); cis,cis isomers were below the determination limit in most beef samples. Total CLA amounts determined by Ag+‐HPLC were compared to total CLAs determined by gas chromatography (GC, 100 m CPSilTM 88 column). The amounts obtained by GC were generally higher than those determined by Ag+ ‐HPLC due to co‐eluting compounds.  相似文献

The seed oil ofSantalum spicatum contains a significant amount of ximenynic acid,trans-11-octadecen-9-ynoic acid, a long-chain acetylenic fatty acid, as a major component (34%). The identity oftrans-ximenynic acid was confirmed after isolation by ultraviolet, infrared, and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) (1H- and13C-) spectroscopy and by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Thecis isomer of ximenynic acid was also found (<1%) in some samples. Thecis andtrans isomers were characterized by GC/MS comparison of their methyl esters and 4,4-dimethyloxazoline derivatives.  相似文献

In this work the molecular fatty components of Pecorino Sardo Protected Designation of Origin (PS PDO) cheese were characterized through an exhaustive investigation of the 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra of the extracted lipids. Several fatty acids (FA), such as long chain saturated, oleic, linoleic, linolenic, butyric, capric, caprylic, caproic, trans vaccenic, conjugated linoleic acid (cis9, trans11–18:2), and caproleic (9–10:1) were unambiguously detected. The positional isomery of some acyl groups in the glycerol backbone of triacylglycerols (TAG) was assessed. Furthermore, the NMR signals belonging to sn-1,2/2,3, sn-1,3 diacylglycerols (DAG), and free fatty acids (FFA) were analysed as a measure of lipolytic processes on cheese. Lastly, 1H-NMR resonances of saturated aldehydes and hydroperoxides were detected, their very low intensity indicating that the lipid oxidation process can be considered to be of minor relevance in Pecorino Sardo cheese.  相似文献

The structures of the products obtained on ozonation of methyl oleate have been re-examined. The assignments for the six isomeric ozonides of methyl oleate have been made by1H and13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), which were consistent with the retention times observed in high-performance liquid chromatography; the assignments were confirmed by mass and infrared spectroscopy. Two triplets for the ozonide ring protons of thecis andtrans isomers in the normal (MOO1) and the two cross ozonides (MOO1 and MOO3) can be resolved by 400 MHz NMR. For MOO1 and MOO3, where the two ring carbons are equivalent, two peaks for the ring carbons of each cross ozonides are resolved in the13C NMR spectra, one for thecis and one for thetrans isomer. For MOO2, four peaks for the ring carbons are resolved in the13C NMR spectra, two for thecis and two for thetrans isomer.  相似文献

Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) mixtures were isomerized with p-toluenesulfinic acid or I2 catalyst. The resultant mixtures of the eight cis/trans geometric isomers of 8,10-, 9,11-, 10,12-, and 11,13-octadecadienoic (18∶2) acid methyl esters were separated by silver ion-high-performance liquid chromatography (Ag+-HPLC) and gas chromatography (GC). Ag+-HPLC allowed the separation of all positional CLA isomers and geometric cis/trans CLA isomers except 10,12–18∶2. However, one of the 8,10 isomers (8cis, 10trans-18∶2) coeluted with the 9trans,11cis18∶2 isomer. There were differences in the elution order of the pairs of geometric CLA isomers resolved by Ag+-HPLC. For the 8,10 and 9,11 CLA isomers, cis, trans eluted before trans, cis, whereas the opposite elution pattern was observed for the 11,13–18∶2 geometric isomers (trans, cis before cis, trans). All eight cis/trans CLA isomers were separated by GC on long polar capillary columns only when their relative concentrations were about equal. Large differences in the relative concentration of the CLA isomers found in natural products obscured the resolution and identification of a number of minor CLA isomers. In such cases, GC-mass spectrometry of the dimethyloxazoline derivatives was used to identify and confirm coeluting CLA isomers. For the same positional isomer, the cis, trans consistently eluted before the trans, cis CLA isomers by GC. High resolution mass spectrometry (MS) selected ion recording (SIR) of the molecular ions of the 18∶1 18∶2, and 18∶3 fatty acid methyl esters served as an independent and highly sensitive method to confirm CLA methyl ester peak assignments in GC chromatograms obtained from food samples by flame-ionization detection. The high-resolution MS data were used to correct for the nonselectivity of the flame-ionization detector.  相似文献

Summary Poly(1-methyl-1-phenyl-1-silapentane) (I) has been prepared by the chemical reduction of the carbon-carbon double bonds of poly(1-methyl-1-phenyl-1-sila-cis-pent-3-ene (cis-II) with diimide, which was generatedin-situ by the thermal decomposition ofp-toluenesulfonhydrazide in refluxing toluene. At lower temperature (100°C),cis-II is isomerized byp-toluenesulfinic acid to lower molecular weight poly(1-methyl-1-phenyl-1-sila-cis andtrans-pent-3-ene) (cis/trans-II). Protodesilation of I with trifluoromethanesulfonic acid yields poly(1-methyl-1-trifluoromethanesulfonyl-1-silapentane) (III). The structures of I andcis/trans-II have been characterized by1H,13C and29Si NMR, GPC, TGA and elemental analysis. The structure of I has been characterized spectroscopically by1H,13C,19F and29Si NMR.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate whether hydroperoxides are formed in the autoxidation of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) methyl ester both in the presence and absence of α‐tocopherol. The existence of hydroperoxide protons was confirmed by D2O exchange and by chemoselective reduction of the hydroperoxide groups into hydroxyl groups using NaBH4. These experiments were followed by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. The 13C and 1HNMR spectra of a mixture of 9‐hydroper‐oxy‐10‐trans,12‐cis‐octadecadienoic acid methyl ester (9‐OOH) and 13‐hydroperoxy‐9‐cis, 11‐trans‐octadecadienoic acid methyl ester (13‐OOH), which are formed during the autoxidation of methyl linoleate, were studied in detail to allow the comparison between the two linoleate hydroperoxides and the CLA methyl ester hydroperoxides. The 13CNMR spectra of samples enriched with one of the two linoleate hydroperoxide isomers were assigned using 2D NMR techniques, namely Correlated Spectroscopy (COSY), gradient Heteronuclear Multiple Bond Correlation (gHMBC), and gradient Heteronuclear Single Quantum Correlation (gHSQC). The 13C and 1H NMR experiments performed in this study show that hydroperoxides are formed during the autoxidation of CLA methyl ester both in the presence and absence of α‐tocopherol and that the major isomers of CLA methyl ester hydroperoxides have a conjugated monohydroperoxydiene structure similar to that in linoleate hydroperoxides.  相似文献

Pigs were fed a commercial conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) mixture, prepared by alkali isomerization of sunflower oil, at 2% of the basal diet, from 61.5 to 106 kg live weight, and were compared to pigs fed the same basal diet with 2% added sunflower oil. The total lipids from liver, heart, inner back fat, and omental fat of pigs fed the CLA diet were analyzed for the incorporation of CLA isomers into all the tissue lipid classes. A total of 10 lipid classes were isolated by three-directional thin-layer chromatography and analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) on long capillary columns and by silver-ion high-performance liquid chromatography (Ag+-HPLC); cholesterol was determined spectrophotometrically. Only trace amounts (<0.1%; by GC) of the 9,11–18∶2 cis/trans and trans, trans isomers were observed in pigs fed the control diet. Ten and twelve CLA isomers in the diet and in pig tissue lipids were sepatated by GC and Ag+-HPLC, respectively. The relative concentration of all the CLA isomers in the different lipid classes ranged from 1 to 6% of the total fatty acids. The four major cis/trans isomers (18.9% 11 cis, 13 trans-18∶2; 26.3% 10 trans, 12 cis-18∶2; 20.4% 9 cis, 11 trans-18∶2; and 16.1% 8 trans, 10 cis-18∶2) constituted 82% of the total CLA isomers in the dietary CLA mixture, and smaller amounts of the corresponding cis,cis (7.4%) and trans, trans (10.1%) isomers were present. The distribution of CLA isomers in inner back fat and in omental fat of the pigs was similar to that found in the diet. The liver triacylglycerols (TAG), free fatty acids (FFA), and cholesteryl esters showed a similar patterns to that found in the diet. The major liver phospholipids showed a marked increase of 9 cis,11 trans-18∶2, ranging from 36 to 54%, compared to that present in the diet. However, liver diphosphatidylglycerol (DPG) showed a high incorporation of the 11 cis,13 trans-18∶2 isomer (43%). All heart lipid classes, except TAG, showed a high content of 11 cis,13 trans-18∶2, which was in marked contrast to results in the liver. The relative proportion of 11 cis,13 trans-18∶2 ranged from 30% in the FFA to 77% in DPG. The second major isomer in all heart lipids was 9 cis,11 trans-18∶2. In both liver and heart lipids the relative proportions of both 10 trans,12 cis-18∶2 and 8 trans,10 cis-18∶2 were significantly lower compared to that found in the diet. The FFA in liver and heart showed the highest content of trans, trans isomers (31 to 36%) among all the lipid classes. The preferential accumulation of the 11 cis,13 trans-18∶2 into cardiac lipids, and in particular the major phospholipid in the inner mitochondrial membrane, DPG, in both heart and liver, appears unique and may be of concern. The levels of 11 cis,13 trans-18∶2 naturally found in foods have not been established.  相似文献

Conversion of trans-[RuCl2(P-P)2] (P-P=4-membered chelate diphosphine) to cis is facilitated by treatment with AgOTf or AgBF4 in 1,2-dichloroethane, which gives mixtures of Ru–Cl–Ag heterobimetallic complexes with cis stereochemistry at Ru(II), characterised by 31P{1H} and 1H NMR spectroscopy and by FAB mass spectrometry. Treatment of these mixtures with neutral ligands (CO, CH3CN) gives cis-[RuCl(L)(P-P)2]+, whereas simultaneous treatment of trans-[RuCl2(P-P)2] with L and Ag(I) salt gives trans-[RuCl(L)(P-P)2]+.  相似文献

TAG (MLM) with medium-chain FA (MCFA) at the 1,3-positions and long-chain FA (LCFA) at the 2-position, and TAG (LMM) with LCFA at the 1(3)-position and MCFA at 2,3(1)-positions are a pair of TAG regioisomers. Large-scale preparation of the two TAG regioisomers was attempted. A commercially available FFA mixture (FFA-CLA) containing 9-cis, 11-trans (9c, 11t)- and 10t,12c-CLA was selected as LCFA, and caprylic acid (C8FA) was selected as MCFA. The MLM isomer was synthesized by acidolysis of acyglycerols (AG) containing two CLA isomers with C8FA: A mixture of AG-CLA/C8 FA (1∶10, mol/mol) and 4 wt% immobilized Rhizomucor miehei lipase was agitated at 30°C for 72 h. The ratio of MLM to total AG was 51.1 wt%. Meanwhile, LMM isomer was synthesized by acidolysis of tricaprylin with FFA-CLA: A mixture of tricaprylin/FFA-CLA (1∶2, mol/mol) and 4 wt% immobilized R. miehei lipase was agitated at 30°C for 24 h. The ratio of LMM to total AG was 51.8 wt%. MLM and LMM were purified from 1,968 and 813 g reaction mixtures by stepwise short-path distillation, respectively. Consequently, MLM was purified to 92.3% with 49.1% recovery, and LMM was purified to 93.2% with 52.3% recovery. Regiospecific analyses of MLM and LMM indicated that the 2-positions of MLM and LMM were 95.1 mol% LCFA and 98.3 mol% C8 FA, respectively. The results showed that a process comprising lipase reaction and short-path distillation is effective for large-scale preparation of high-purity regiospecific TAG isomers.  相似文献

Poly(1,4‐cyclohexylenedimethylene phthalate) s, prepared by the reaction of phthalic anhydride and 1,4‐cyclohexane dimethanol (35/65 or 73/27 mol % cis/trans or trans alone), have been used to improve the toughness of bisphenol‐A diglycidyl ether epoxy resin cured with 4,4′‐diaminodiphenyl sulfone. The aromatic polyesters include poly(cis/trans‐1,4‐cyclohexylenedimethylene phthalate) (PCP) based on a commercial cyclohexanedimethanol, poly(trans‐1,4‐cyclohexylenedimethylene phthalate) (trans‐PCP) and poly(cis/trans‐1,4‐cyclohexylenedimethylene phthalate) (cis‐rich PCP) prepared from a cis‐rich diol. The polyesters used were soluble in the epoxy resin without solvents and were effective as modifiers for toughening the cured epoxy resin. For example, the inclusion of 20 wt% of PCP (MW 6400 g mol−1) led to an 80% increase in the fracture toughness (KIC) of the cured resin with no loss of mechanical and thermal properties. The toughening mechanism is discussed in terms of morphological and dynamic viscoelastic behaviours of the modified epoxy resin system. © 2000 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

A series of combined liquid crystalline poly(bis‐4,4′‐oxy‐α‐methylstilbene‐4‐substituted (X) phenylazo‐4′‐phenyloxydecylphosphate ester)s bearing photoreactive mesogenic units were synthesized. FTIR and 1H NMR spectroscopy confirmed the structures of these polymers. The inherent viscosities of the polymers were found to be in the range 0.45–0.65 dL g?1. Polarizing optical microscopy (POM) exhibited birefringent liquid crystalline melt properties. The thermal properties of all of the polymers were studied by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The photochemical properties of these polymers were studied by UV‐visible and fluorescence spectroscopy. The influence of the photoinduced EZ (transcis) isomerization of the various terminal substituents of the side‐chain azobenzenes was investigated. The kinetics of the photoisomerization process reveal the switching times for the conversion between the trans‐ and cis‐ forms of the azobenzene units. The photo‐optical properties of these polymers exhibited layered smectic phases and showed good photoinduced properties in their mesomorphic states. Anionic ring-opening polymerization of the cis and trans isomers of 1,3,5-trimethyl-1,3,5-tris(3′,3′,3′-trifluoropropyl)cyclotrisiloxane (cis- and trans-F3) and their mixtures was conducted under conditions that suppressed siloxane bond redistribution in order to preserve stereoregularity formed in the resulting poly[methyl(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)siloxane] (PMTFPS). Proton decoupled 19F NMR of the resulting polymers was interpreted by assuming that the original stereoconfiguration of the monomer was preserved and that the monomer inserted with a roughly equal probability of forming meso or racemic configurations relative to the configuration of the reacting chain end. Polymers from cis-F3 were solid and crystalline at room temperature while the more typical polymers from mixtures of isomers containing greater than 50% trans-F3 were liquid and amorphous.  相似文献
