A three-band white light-emitting diode (LED) was fabricated using an InGaN-based blue LED chip that emits 460-nm blue light, and a green phosphor SrGa/sub 2/S/sub 4/ : Eu/sup 2+/ and a red phosphor Ca/sub 1-x/Sr/sub x/S : Eu/sup 2+/ that emit 535-nm green and 615-nm red emissions, respectively, when excited by 460-nm blue light. When the white LED operated in a direct current (DC) 20 mA at room temperature, the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage chromaticity coordinate (x, y), the color temperature Tc, and the color rendering index Ra are calculated to be (0.3236, 0.3242), 5937 K, and 92.2, respectively. The luminous efficacy of this white LED is about 15 lm/W at a DC 20 mA. With increasing DC from 5.0 to 60 mA, both the coordinates x and y of the white LED trend to increase, and consequently the Tc and the Ra increases and decreases, respectively. 相似文献

We report on applying a scanning white light interferometry (SWLI) for quality control of aluminum lead single-point tape automated bonding (spTAB). A spTAB process was used to connect Al leads on a thin polyimide flex to Al bond pads on a flexible Al-polyimide cable. In the experiment three different bonding process parameters, i.e. bond force, ultrasonic power, and ultrasonic treatment time were varied in order to maximize the pull force. A custom built scanning white-light interferometer was used to measure the bond height in order to correlate this parameter with the tensile bond force. This force was obtained in a destructive way by a consecutive pull test. All bonds with a height within (7.22 ± 1.80 μm), possessed a tensile strength exceeding 85 mN. This was verified by a separate validation measurement where the pull force of bonds complying with the height requirement was recorded. Based on the 3D observations the conditions for an acceptable bond quality were revisited and refined. 相似文献

Even though light-emitting diodes (LEDs) may have a very long life, poorly designed LED lighting systems can experience a short life. Because heat at the p-n-junction is one of the main factors that affect the life of the LED, by knowing the relationship between life and heat, LED system manufacturers can design and build long-lasting systems. In this study, several white LEDs from the same manufacturer were subjected to life tests at different ambient temperatures. The exponential decay of light output as a function of time provided a convenient method to rapidly estimate life by data extrapolation. The life of these LEDs decreases in an exponential manner with increasing temperature. In a second experiment, several high-power white LEDs from different manufacturers were life-tested under similar conditions. Results show that the different products have significantly different life values. 相似文献
