本文通过对西沙永乐群岛的调研,发现当地的渔民屋在选址上主要考虑基地的可建设性与运输条件;聚落形态上呈现集中式的聚落布局;建筑单体采用带有檐廊的单一空间;建筑围护结构主要用于防台风和暴雨;建筑材料主要使用回收利用的木料、竹子以及当地的珊瑚石。渔民屋虽然看似简陋,但是透过它可以看出西沙地区建设过程中所面临的问题及经验,能够为西沙地区未来新型适宜性民居的建设明确方向。  相似文献

Catering for the needs of an impoverished rural community in Alabama through its design-and-build activities, Rural Studio leads the way internationally as a university-affiliated architecture programme with a social remit. Guest-Editor Michael Hensel describes how the initiative has grown and developed since it was first established over two decades ago, in 1993, by Samuel Mockbee for students from Auburn University. The realisation of tens of houses and community projects have not only helped to reshape the local environment, but with the more recent strategic approach advanced under Andrew Frear's directorship more long-term projects have been launched and greater emphasis has been placed on the responsible local sourcing of materials, energy and food.  相似文献

本文概述了一代建筑大师密斯的教育历程,并分析了密斯二战前在包豪斯的短暂执教和开创ⅡT教学体系的源流关系,以及在这个过程中密斯的建筑理念如何影响他的教学方针和课程设置。作为划时代的人物,密斯的思想在今天仍然发挥着很大作用,ⅡT有着良好的实践与教学互动的传统,他的传人们为此也作出了很大贡献,其中不乏优秀的建筑师及事务所(如赫尔墨特·杨、SOM)。但整体上来说,密斯很少有继承者发挥如密斯般的开创性作用,这不禁令人深思,密斯真正的思想灵魂是什么?是否得到真正的继承?因此十分有必要在ⅡT的宏观教学体系下对密斯的个性进行反思式的再解读。本文试图对密斯式教学体系中客观存在的问题和局限做探索性的解释,并立足于当代中国的实际情况总结出其对中国教育的启发。  相似文献

阅读密斯建筑作品的平面图,常常会产生“单层密斯”或“标准层密斯”的印象。然而建于1930年的吐根哈特住宅却是一个显著的例外。本文以吐根哈特住宅为切入点,通过对它的两个差异很大的上下层平面的分析和研究,试图揭示密斯对于建筑上、下层关系处理的变化过程。这种分析也展示了密斯在其早期建筑思想走向成熟的过程中,对于“空间”、“功能”、“地形”等建筑基本问题理解的演化。它们同时显示了吐根哈特住宅作为密斯建筑生涯中“承上启下”关节点的历史地位。  相似文献

Thinkorama is a special section devised for this issue dedicated to ideas, thinking about ideas, writing about and making ideas. Full credit for the title must go to champion and first lady of architectural ideas, director of the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Phyllis Lambert, who coined the phrase on the eve of a presentation of Cedric Price's ‘Potteries Thinkbelt’ in November 2003 at the University of Westminster. The event, called ‘SuperCrit’, was endorsed by Price, but his untimely death in the summer of that year prevented him from presenting the project himself. It was therefore handed to a group of friends and associates to argue the profundity of this great architectural work-on-paper. Over the past two decades, private house ownership has expanded exponentially throughout Europe. Over the past decade, this has intensified with the desire and ability among wealthier northern Europeans to own second homes in sunnier climes. It has not only driven up house prices in pockets of Europe, but has also impacted on the social and cultural lives of local communities in ‘desirable locations’, having an adverse effect on the quality of the built environment. Lino Bianco describes the situation in Malta and how, after decades of largely uncontrolled development by real-estate investors, the government is taking stock and encouraging through investment in architectural education, and property legislation, the growth of an indigenous architecture that is contextual, sensitive and energy-conscious. Laura Lesniewski , Principal of BNIM, describes how Elements, an internal division of the US firm focused on sustainable design and research, made an essential contribution to BNIM's new facility for the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies in Rhinebeck, New York. Through the adoption of building information modelling (BIM) and other new tools and analysis techniques, and the optimisations of the three primary flows through the building – energy, air and water – it has realised a new standard in ecological design.
