基于下一代广播电视无线网(NGB-W)技术需求分析,文章给出了两种广播与双向通信融合的网络架构,讨论了下行广播传输、广播与通信融合数据推送、双向无线接入、频谱感知等方面涉及的关键技术,并探讨了NGB-W的应用前景。文章认为采用广播与双向通信融合网络,NGB-W系统可以充分利用超高频(UHF)频谱资源,根据各种信息业务的不同特点,有针对性地分配网络资源和频谱资源,选择最优传输方式,从而提高系统整体无线频谱利用率。  相似文献

Thanks to the advent of converged communications services (often referred to as ‘triple play’), the next generation service engineer will need radically different skills, processes and tools from today’s counterpart. Why? In order to meet the challenges of installing and maintaining services based on multi-vendor software and hardware components in an IP-based network environment. The converged services environment is likely to be ’smart’ and support flexible and dynamic interoperability between appliances and computing devices. These radical changes in the working environment will inevitably force managers to rethink the role of service engineers in relation to customer relationship management. This paper aims to identify requirements for an information system to support converged communications service engineers with regard to customer-engineer relationship management. Technologies used in wireless broadband systems are typically data-driven and require a very high processing speed. In this article we discuss technological issues that could be utilized in designing converged hardware/software platforms for future radio technologies in both civilian and military communications. Broadband wireless communications have gained increased interest during the last few years. This has been fuelled by a large demand on high-frequency utilization as well as a large number of users requiring simultaneous high-data-rate access for the applications of wireless mobile Internet and e-commerce. The convergence of wireless mobile and access will be the next storm in wireless communications, which will use a new network architecture to deliver broadband services in a more generic configuration to wireless customers, and support value-added services and emerging interactive multimedia communications. Large bandwidth, guaranteed quality of service, and ease of deployment coupled with the great advancements in semiconductor technologies make this converged wireless system a very attractive solution for broadband service delivery.  相似文献

The challenge to deliver the next generation of ubiquitous and converged network and service infrastructures for communication, computing and media, has forced research into innovative new directions. New infrastructures must overcome the scalability, flexibility, dependability and security bottlenecks of current ones in order to permit the emergence of dynamic and, pervasive and robust new communication technologies. This paper promotes secure personal networks (PNs) as a key IMT-Advanced technology candidate, in particular, contributing to fulfilling the requirement for global connectivity for IMT-Advanced communications. Advanced PN concepts, such as the PN-Federation can support a number of requirements related to connectivity for the successful adoption of IMT-Advanced systems and services. Introducing intelligence for managing, protecting, processing, and delivering information of mobile communication systems has been identified as the way towards ubiquitous, converged and secure communications. One way to do this is through cognition. This paper discusses an approach and application of intelligence in the context of achieving ubiquitous, converged, and secure communications. Namely, we apply cognitive radio to personal networks for improving IMT-Advanced system and service connectivity. Further, the paper provides an understanding of how best to combine cognition with the current mobile communication systems.
