In this paper, a new framework for the synthesis of a class of sliding mode observers for affine linear parameter varying (LPV) systems is proposed. The sliding mode observer is synthesized by selecting the design freedom via linear matrix inequalities ( LMIs ). Posing the problem from a small gain perspective allows existing numerical techniques from the literature to be used for the purpose of synthesizing the observer gains. In particular, the framework allows affine parameter‐dependent Lyapunov functions to be considered for analyzing the stability of the state estimation error dynamics, to help reduce design conservatism. Initially a variable structure observer formulation is proposed, but by imposing further constraints on the LMIs, a stable sliding mode is introduced, which can force and maintain the output estimation error to be zero in finite time. The efficacy of the scheme is demonstrated using an LPV model of the short period dynamics of an aircraft and demonstrates simultaneous asymptotic estimation of the states and disturbances.  相似文献

In this article, a triple state and output variable transformation-based method combined with linear matrix inequality (LMI) techniques to design a new robust reduced-order sliding mode observer for perturbed linear multiple-input and multiple-output systems is developed. The state and output variables of the original system are triple transformed into suitable canonical form coordinates to facilitate the design of a reduced-order observer. The existing transformations are summarised in this study and presented systematically. A new combined observer configuration is proposed and compared with another type of observers. Global asymptotical stability LMI and sliding mode existence conditions for the coupled observer error system are derived using Lyapunov full quadratic form. Reaching and sliding modes of motion of decoupled observer error system are discussed as well. Two numerical and simulation examples are given to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed design techniques.  相似文献

High-gain observers have been used in the design of output feedback controllers due to their ability to robustly estimate the unmeasured states while asymptotically attenuating disturbances. The available techniques for the design of high-gain observers can be classified into three groups: pole-placement algorithms, Riccati equation-based algorithms, and Lyapunov equation-based algorithms. In [1], we presented separation results for globally bounded stabilizing state feedback controllers when the high-gain observer is designed using pole-placement so as to create a closed-loop system with two-time-scale structure. In this paper, we show that the separation results of [1] hold for the other observer designs.  相似文献

Presents a state observer for a class of nonlinear systems based on the input output linearization. While the previous result presented state observers for nonlinear systems of full relative degree, we proposed a procedure fur the design of nonlinear state observers which do not require the hypothesis of full relative degree. Assuming that there exists a global state observer for internal dynamics and that some functions are globally Lipschitz, we can design a globally convergent state observer. It is also shown that if the zero dynamics are locally exponentially stable, then there exists a local state observer. An example is given to illustrate the proposed design of nonlinear state observers  相似文献

In this paper, a class of nonlinear interconnected systems with uncertain time varying parameters (TVPs) is considered. Both the interconnections and the isolated subsystems are nonlinear. Sliding mode control method and adaptive techniques are employed together to design an observer to estimate the state variables of the systems in presence of unknown TVPs. The Lyapunov direct method is used to analysis the stability of the sliding motion and it is not required to solve the so‐called constrained Lyapunov problem (CLP). A set of conditions is developed under which the augmented systems formed by the error dynamical systems and the designed adaptive laws, are globally uniformly ultimately bounded. A simulation example is presented and the results show that the method proposed in this paper is effective.  相似文献

Asymptotic output‐feedback tracking in a class of causal nonminimum phase uncertain nonlinear systems is addressed via sliding mode techniques. Sliding mode control is proposed for robust stabilization of the output tracking error in the presence of a bounded disturbance. The output reference profile and the unknown input/disturbance are supposed to be described by unknown linear exogenous systems of a given order. Local asymptotic stability of the output tracking error dynamics along with the boundedness of the internal states are proven. The unstable internal states are estimated asymptotically via the proposed multistage observer that is based on the method of extended system center. A higher‐order sliding mode observer/differentiator is used for the exact estimation of the input–output states in a finite time. The bounded disturbance is reconstructed asymptotically. A numerical example illustrates the efficiency of the proposed output‐feedback tracking approach developed for causal nonminimum phase nonlinear systems. This paper proposes a sliding mode observer–controller design method for uncertain Markovian jump systems with time delays and uncertain switching probabilities. Both the structures of a sliding mode observer and a sliding mode controller are given. By the mode‐dependent Lyapunov functional approach, a sufficient condition for the stochastic stability of the closed‐loop system is given, which can be converted into a convex optimization problem. The reachability of the sliding surfaces in both the estimation error space and the state estimate space can be ensured by the presented control scheme. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed design method is demonstrated by a simulation example. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of sliding mode control (SMC) with passivity for a class of uncertain switched time-delay systems is studied. By means of the multiple Lyapunov functions techniques, a delay-dependent sufficient condition for the existence of linear sliding surface of subsystem is deduced in which the solution to the switched sliding mode dynamics is robustly exponentially stable and passive under a state-based switching law. Moreover, the sliding mode controller is designed to drive the system trajectories onto the predefined sliding surface of subsystem in finite time. Finally, a numerical example is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, by introducing the concept of command-to-state/output mapping, it is shown that the state of an uncertain nonlinear system can robustly be estimated if command-to-state mapping of the system and that of an uncertainty-free observer converge to each other. Then, a global Jacobian system is defined to capture this convergence property for the dynamics of estimation error, and a set of general stability and convergence conditions are derived using Lyapunov direct method. It is also shown that the conditions are constructive and can be reduced to an algebraic Lyapunov matrix equation by which nonlinear feedback in the observer and its corresponding Lyapunov function can be searched in a way parallel to those of nonlinear control design. Case studies and examples are used to illustrate the proposed observer design method. Finally, observer-based control is designed for systems whose uncertainties are generated by unknown exogenous dynamics.  相似文献

In this paper, the observer design problem is studied for a class of time-delay non-linear systems. The system under consideration is subject to delayed state and non-linear disturbances. The time-delay is allowed to be time-varying, and the non-linearities are assumed to satisfy global Lipschitz conditions. The problem addressed is the design of state observers such that, for the admissible time-delay as well as non-linear disturbances, the dynamics of the observation error is globally exponentially stable. An effective algebraic matrix inequality approach is developed to solve the non-linear observer design problem. Specifically, some conditions for the existence of the desired observers are derived, and an explicit expression of desired observers is given in terms of some free parameters. A simulation example is included to illustrate the practical applicability of the proposed theory.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of designing a dynamic output feedback sliding mode control algorithm for linear MIMO systems with mismatched parameter uncertainties along with disturbances and matched nonlinear perturbations. Once the system is in the sliding mode, the proposed output‐dependent integral sliding surface can robustly stabilize the closed‐loop system and obtain the desired system performance. Two types of mismatched disturbances are considered and their effects on the sliding mode are explored. By introducing an additional dynamics into the controller design, the developed control law can guarantee that the system globally reaches and is maintained on the sliding surface in finite time. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed method is illustrated by numerical examples. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We consider a general class of nonlinear reduced-order observers and show that the global asymptotic convergence of the observation error in the absence of network-induced constraints is maintained for the emulated observer semiglobally and practically (with respect to the maximum allowable transmission interval) when system measurements are sent through a communication channel. Networks governed by a Lyapunov uniformly globally asymptotically stable protocol are investigated. Our results can be used to synthesize various observers for networked control systems for a range of network configurations, as we illustrate it by considering classes of immersion and invariance observers which include the circle-criterion observers.  相似文献

This paper addresses the robust trajectory tracking problem for a robot manipulator in the presence of uncertainties and disturbances. First, a neural network-based sliding mode adaptive control (NNSMAC), which is a combination of sliding mode technique, neural network (NN) approximation and adaptive technique, is designed to ensure trajectory tracking by the robot manipulator. It is shown using the Lyapunov theory that the tracking error asymptotically converge to zero. However, the assumption on the availability of the robot manipulator dynamics is not always practical. So, an NN-based adaptive observer is designed to estimate the velocities of the links. Next, based on the observer, a neural network-based sliding mode adaptive output feedback control (NNSMAOFC) is designed. Then it is shown by the Lyapunov theory that the trajectory tracking errors, the observer estimation errors asymptotically converge to zero. The effectiveness of the designed NNSMAC, the NN-based adaptive observer and the NNSMAOFC is illustrated by simulations.  相似文献

The paper is devoted to investigating sliding mode control for a class of nonlinear uncertain stochastic systems with input nonlinearity and Markovian switching. A nonfragile observer subjected to the transition rates of the modes is designed. By some specified matrices, the connections among the designed sliding surfaces corresponding to every mode are established. The state estimation‐based sliding mode control law is derived to guarantee the reachability of the sliding surface in finite time interval. The sufficient conditions on asymptotically stochastic stability of the error system and sliding mode dynamics with a given disturbance attenuation level are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, an example is provided to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Based on a novel adaptive observer, which does not require signal boundedness in its stability proof, an algebraic separation property of linear state feedback control and adaptive state observation is established. This means, whenever a linear, stabilizing state feedback control law is realized with the state replaced by the state estimate of the given stable adaptive observer, then the resulting nonlinear control system is also globally asymptotically Lyapunov stable with respect to the initial state and parameter observation error of the adaptive observer. In particular, no assumptions on the system dynamics nor on the speed of the adaptation are made.  相似文献

The dynamics of the second‐order sliding mode (SOSM) can be obtained by directly taking the second derivative on the sliding variable when it has a relative degree of 2 with respect to the control input. However, there will always appear some state‐dependent certain or uncertain terms in the first derivative of the sliding variable, and the derivative directly imposed on these terms could enlarge the uncertainties in the control channel. One method to reduce the uncertainties in the control channel is to hold this information in the dynamics of the first derivative of the sliding variable, while the original SOSM dynamics could be transformed to be a SOSM system with a mismatched unbounded perturbation. This paper focuses on the controller design problem for SOSM dynamics subject to mismatched unbounded perturbation. By using Lyapunov analysis, a novel backstepping‐like design methodology will be proposed. The rigorous mathematical proof will show that under the derived SOSM controller, the closed‐loop sliding mode dynamics is globally finite‐time stable. Meanwhile, the frequently used constant upper bound assumptions for the standard SOSM system can also be extended to the state‐dependent hypotheses in this paper. An academic example is illustrated to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Multiple sliding mode observers for state and unknown input estimations of a class of MIMO nonlinear systems are systematically developed in this paper. A new nonlinear transformation is formulated to divide the original system into two interconnected subsystems. The unknown inputs are assumed to be bounded and not necessarily Lipschitz, and do not require any matching condition. Under structural assumptions for the unknown input distribution matrix, the sliding mode terms of the nonlinear observer are designed to track their respective unknown inputs. Also, the unknown inputs can be reconstructed from the multiple sliding mode structurally. The conditions for asymptotic stability of estimation error dynamics are derived. Finally, simulation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This work investigates and solves the design of adaptive impulsive observers for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems with unknown parameter. Sufficient conditions are derived for designing such observers for each subsystem to reconstruct asymptotically and update system states in real time. The state observer is represented in terms of impulsive differential equations. The parameter estimation law is modelled by an impulse‐free, time‐varying differential equation associated with the impulse time sequence in order to determine when the observer estimated state is updated. The asymptotic convergence to zero of the observation errors is established by applying the method of multiple time‐varying Lyapunov functions. Sufficient conditions are derived that guarantee the convergence of parameter estimation. An example of switched Lorenz system along with numeric and simulation results is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper presents a converse Lyapunov theorem for discrete-time systems with disturbances taking values in compact sets. Among several new stability results, it is shown that a smooth Lyapunov function exists for a family of time-varying discrete systems if these systems are robustly globally asymptotically stable.  相似文献
