A common way of dynamically scheduling jobs in a manufacturing system is by means of dispatching rules. The problem of this method is that the performance of these rules depends on the state the system is in at each moment, and no rule exists that overrules the rest in all the possible states that the system may be in. The system’s state is defined by a set of control attributes. It would therefore be interesting to use the most appropriate dispatching rule at each moment. To achieve this goal, a scheduling approach which uses machine learning is presented in this paper. By means of this technique, by analysing the previous performance of the system (training examples), a set of heuristic rules are generated that can be used to decide which is the most appropriate dispatching rule at each moment in time. This approach is applied to a job shop configuration. The results demonstrate that this approach produces an improvement in the performance of the system when compared to the traditional method of using dispatching rules.  相似文献

The design of a Ka-band gyrotron traveling wave tube (TWT) amplifier capable of operating over a wide range of peak powers and bandwidths is presented. The amplifier operates in the TE11 mode at the fundamental cyclotron harmonic. Instantaneous bandwidths in the range of 2.5 to 3.9 GHz (at 1 dB below saturation) with corresponding peak powers between 92.2 and 57.9 kW can be achieved by simply adjusting the mod-anode voltage of the electron gun. The corresponding gains range from 57.1 to 36.0 dB. The design performance is obtained with a high quality, 6 A, 70 kV electron beam generated with a double-anode magnetron injection gun. This wide range performance capability in the design is achieved via the use of the distributed loss approach in the interacting circuit, which also guarantees zero-drive stability. A diffractive loading scheme is employed in the lossy section of the circuit to ensure high average power operation of the amplifier  相似文献

In this review, we show the features of C++ that make it superior in comparison with other languages. Use of data hiding and objects are an important way to improve the quality of the software that is produced, because the final product is easier to develop, maintain, document, and upgrade. Because of the overloading mechanism, the elegance of some notations-such as in the example of the product among vectors and matrices-is now available, even when writing a computer program. In addition, the Standard Template Library provides a huge set of templates that save a great deal of time in the development of software. The emergence of pervasive wide-area distributed computing environments, such as pervasive information systems and computational grids, has enabled new generations of applications that are based on seamless access, aggregation, and interaction. However, the inherent complexity, heterogeneity, and dynamism of these systems require a change in how the applications are developed and managed. In this paper, we present a programming framework that extends existing programming models/frameworks to support the development of autonomic self-managing applications. The framework enables the development of autonomic elements and the formulation of autonomic applications as the dynamic composition of autonomic elements. The operation of the proposed framework is illustrated using a forest fire management application.  相似文献
