Time saving is the primary justification for a CMM. The data acquisition activity (probing), in general, occupies over 95% of the real cycle time, and is dictated by the characteristics of the machine and its servo control system. Considering all the requirements, a control system based on a microprocessor was chosen. The microprocessor can be programmed to suit the system requirements in a way which cannot be achieved in pure hardware systems. A compact tomography camera system consisting of a photomultiplier tube, a multislit optical system, and a band-pass interference filter has been developed. The viewing area and spatial resolution can be configured by the arrangement of the slit system. The camera system has been specially designed for self-organized compact torus experiments having strong magnetohydrodynamics events with a submicrosecond time-scale. The developed system has been tested on a field-reversed configuration formed by the field-reversed theta-pinch. Lateral-torsional coupled vibration destabilizes a rotating system. The instability region of the rotating system is the speed range where the frequencies of the lateral and torsional modes intersect. In this study, the abnormally increased vibration of the typical diesel engine-reduction gear propulsion system for a naval vessel was examined in relation to the lateral-torsional coupled vibration under the assumption that it can be approximated by the Jeffcott rotor with three degrees of freedom. Through numerical and experimental investigation, a protection method was developed to avoid the unstable region of the diesel engine-reduction gear propulsion system.  相似文献

A new contact-type on-machine measurement system is designed and developed for the evaluation of a micro cutting edge profile. The measurement system is composed of a compact probe unit having a sharp stylus mounted on a flexible beam, an inner displacement sensor for the detection of the stylus displacement, and a two-axis precision positioning system. For the evaluation of tool faces having a steep slope, a new probing procedure with the enhancement of the inner displacement sensor integrated into the probe unit is newly proposed. After the design and development of the probe unit, the feasibilities of the developed measurement system and the proposed probing procedure are demonstrated through some basic experiments. Regarding the out-of-straightness and angular error motion of the two-axis positioning system employed in the developed measurement system, a pair of length gauges is newly employed to reduce the influences of error motions of the stage system. The topographic profile of the micro cutting edge obtained by the measurement system with the modified probe unit is then compared with those obtained by a commercial stylus profiler and a laser confocal microscope. The feasibility and effectiveness of the developed on-machine tool edge profile measurement system are also demonstrated through uncertainty analysis based on the GUM with the Monte-Carlo method.  相似文献

This paper analyzes the behavior of a mechanical system formed by a flat punch with square edges at 90 over a half-infinite substrate made of the same material under normal reversible constant and tangential loads, typical of a fretting situation. Based on previous studies of the behavior of such a system, both static and cyclic behavior are analyzed. The analysis is carried out using both analytical and numerical solutions, the latter being obtained with finite and/or boundary element codes. The kinematic behavior of the contact zone is studied (slipping, separation, or adherence), as well as the stress state of the substrate in the area surrounding the edges of the punch. The very same analyses have been made of a system equal to the latter but replacing the contact by continuity. The comparison of the solutions of the two systems gives the validity range of different continuous models, easier to use in representing the behavior of the punch–substrate system.  相似文献

Based on a control Lyapunov function (CLF) strategy, a novel approach for designing a controller for a slowly varying nonlinear system is proposed. The approach may be thought of as being in between the time-invariant and time-varying CLF techniques. If the time-invariant technique is used to control a slowly varying system, stability will not be guaranteed. On the other hand, the time-varying CLF technique, due to the control law, has complexity and needs to measure or estimate the derivative of system parameters. The advantage of the proposed method is its independence from the measurement or estimation of the derivatives of the system parameters. It is shown that the proposed control law can even be independent of the parameters of the system. In this paper, the conditions are derived that allow using the simple CLF formula that guarantees the stability of a slowly varying system. The efficiency of the approach is shown through some simulations.  相似文献
