This paper studies the problem of semi‐global leader‐following output consensus of a multi‐agent system. The output of each follower agent in the system, described by a same general linear system subject to external disturbances and actuator saturation, is to track the output of the leader, described by a linear system, which also generates disturbances as the exosystem does in the classical output regulation problem. Conditions on the agent dynamics are identified, under which a low‐gain feedback‐based linear state‐control algorithm is constructed for each follower agent such that the output consensus is achieved when the communication topology among the agents is a digraph containing no loop, and the leader is reachable from any follower agent. We also extend the results to the non‐identical disturbance case. In this case, conditions based on both the agent dynamics and the communication topology are identified, under which a low‐gain feedback‐based linear state‐control algorithm is constructed for each follower agent such that the leader‐following output consensus is achieved when the communication topology among the follower agents is a strongly connected and detailed balanced digraph, and the leader is a neighbor of at least one follower. In addition, under some further conditions on the agent dynamics, the control algorithm is adapted so as to achieve semi‐global leader‐following output consensus for a jointly connected undirected graph and the leader reachable from at least one follower. In this paper, the consensus of second‐order multi‐agent dynamical systems with exogenous disturbances is studied. A pinning control strategy is designed for a part of agents of the multi‐agent systems without disturbances, and this pinning control can bring multiple agents' states to reaching an expected consensus track. Under the influence of the disturbances, disturbance observers‐based control (DOBC) is developed for disturbances generated by an exogenous system to estimate the disturbances. Asymptotical consensus of the multi‐agent systems with disturbances under the composite controller can be achieved for fixed and switching topologies. Finally, by applying an example of multi‐agent systems with switching topologies and exogenous disturbances, the consensus of multi‐agent systems is reached under the DOBC with the designed parameters. In this paper, we study the robust consensus tracking problem for a class of high‐order multi‐agent systems with unmodelled dynamics and unknown disturbances. A continuous robust state feedback control algorithm is proposed to enable the agents to achieve robust consensus tracking of a desired trajectory. By utilizing Lyapunov analysis methods and an invariance‐like theorem, sufficient conditions for semi‐global asymptotic consensus tracking are established. A robust output feedback control algorithm is designed to obtain a uniformly ultimately bounded consensus tracking result. Numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, the semi‐global bipartite output consensus problem of heterogeneous linear multi‐agent systems is studied. Compared with related works, both cooperative interactions and antagonistic interactions between agents are considered, and the input saturation on each follower is taken into account. First, two distributed finite‐time observers are designed to recover the leader's state. Particularly, the setting time can be independent of any initial states. Due to the antagonistic interactions, estimation values are the same as the leader's state in modulus but may not in sign. Then, the low‐gain feedback technique is used to develop the distributed control law for each follower. Moreover, we summarize a framework for solving the semi‐global bipartite output consensus problem of heterogeneous multi‐agent systems subject to input saturation. Finally, examples are given to illustrate the results.  相似文献

A robust consensus controller is proposed for heterogeneous higher‐order nonlinear multi‐agent systems, when the agent dynamics are involved with mismatched uncertainties. A distributed consensus protocol based on a time‐varying nonhomogeneous finite‐time disturbance observer and sliding mode control is designed to realize the network consensus of higher‐order multi‐agent systems. The time‐varying finite‐time disturbance observer overcomes the problem of peaking value near the initial time caused by the constant gain one and is designed to estimate the uncertainties and to mitigate the effect of mismatched uncertainties during the sliding mode. To eliminate the chattering phenomenon and ensure finite‐time convergence to the sliding surface, the control law is designed by using the super twisting algorithm. Finally numerical simulations are given to illustrate the validity of the proposed method. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper investigates the finite‐time consensus problem for multi‐agent systems with second‐order individual dynamics under switching topologies. A distributed continuous‐time protocol is designed to guarantee finite‐time consensus for homogeneous agents without predetermined leaders, i.e., it ensures agents asymptotically converge to an average consensus within finite time, even if the interaction topology among them is time‐varying but stepwise jointly‐connected. In particular, it introduces a distributed continuous‐time protocol to reach consensus in finite time and reduce the chattering together. Finally, the simulation results are also given to validate the proposed approach.  相似文献

This paper investigates the consensus problem for multi‐agent systems and presents a class of nonlinear consensus protocols. First, we reveal some structure property of the corresponding Laplacian matrix by decomposing the interaction graph into strongly connected components. Then, by means of the input‐to‐state stability and algebraic graph theory, we propose a framework to prove consensus for multi‐agent systems with nonlinear protocols. In particular, we prove that consensus can be always reached in systems of single‐integrator agents with a directed communication topology containing a spanning tree, provided the nonlinear protocol is an odd and increasing function. The nonlinear consensus protocols proposed in this paper include the classical linear consensus protocol as a special case, and may have a wide range of applications, including consensus with faster convergence rates and with bounded control inputs. This paper is concerned with the second‐order consensus problem of multi‐agent systems with a virtual leader, where all agents and the virtual leader share the same intrinsic dynamics with a locally Lipschitz condition. It is assumed that only a small fraction of agents in the group are informed about the position and velocity of the virtual leader. A connectivity‐preserving adaptive controller is proposed to ensure the consensus of multi‐agent systems, wherein no information about the nonlinear dynamics is needed. Moreover, it is proved that the consensus can be reached globally with the proposed control strategy if the degree of the nonlinear dynamics is smaller than some analytical value. Numerical simulations are further provided to illustrate the theoretical results. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper addresses the consensus tracking problem for a class of heterogeneous nonlinear second‐order multi‐agent systems with parametric uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics, and bounded external disturbances. By linearly parameterizing the control input of the leader, two distributed adaptive robust consensus tracking control protocols with dynamic and fixed coupling gains are constructed based on the relative information from neighboring agents. The global tracking errors are shown to be guaranteed to exponentially converge to a ball with a constant radius at a prescribed rate of convergence under external disturbances. Finally, a numerical example is provided to verify the theoretical results. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this study, consensus problems for second‐order multi‐agent systems with nonuniform and switching topologies are investigated. Each agent has a self‐delay, and each delay is independent of the others. As a measure of the disagreement dynamics, a class of positive semi‐definite Lyapunov–Krasovskii functions are introduced. Using algebraic graph theory and these Lyapunov–Krasovskii functions, sufficient conditions are derived by contradiction under which all agents asymptotically reach consensus. Finally, the effectiveness of the obtained theoretical results is demonstrated through numerical simulations.  相似文献

In this paper the disturbance attenuation and rejection problem is investigated for a class of MIMO nonlinear systems in the disturbance‐observer‐based control (DOBC) framework. The unknown external disturbances are supposed to be generated by an exogenous system, where some classic assumptions on disturbances can be removed. Two kinds of nonlinear dynamics in the plants are considered, respectively, which correspond to the known and unknown functions. Design schemes are presented for both the full‐order and reduced‐order disturbance observers via LMI‐based algorithms. For the plants with known nonlinearity, it is shown that the full‐order observer can be constructed by augmenting the estimation of disturbances into the full‐state estimation, and the reduced‐order ones can be designed by using of the separation principle. For the uncertain nonlinearity, the problem can be reduced to a robust observer design problem. By integrating the disturbance observers with conventional control laws, the disturbances can be rejected and the desired dynamic performances can be guaranteed. If the disturbance also has perturbations, it is shown that the proposed approaches are infeasible and further research is required in the future. Finally, simulations for a flight control system is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results.

In this paper, an efficient framework is proposed to the consensus and formation control of distributed multi‐agent systems with second‐order dynamics and unknown time‐varying parameters, by means of an adaptive iterative learning control approach. Under the assumption that the acceleration of the leader is unknown to any follower agents, a new adaptive auxiliary control and the distributed adaptive iterative learning protocols are designed. Then, all follower agents track the leader uniformly on [0,T] for consensus problem and keep the desired distance from the leader and achieve velocity consensus uniformly on [0,T] for the formation problem, respectively. The distributed multi‐agent coordinations performance is analyzed based on the Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed protocols in this paper.Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we develop nonlinear distributed or semi‐decentralized cooperative control schemes for a team of heterogeneous autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). The objective is to have the network of AUVs follow a desired trajectory, while the agents maintain a desired formation when there is a virtual leader whose position information is only available and known to a very small subset of the agents. The virtual leader does not receive any feedback and information from the other agents and the agents only communicate with their nearest neighboring agents. It is assumed that the model parameters associated with each vehicle/agent is different, although the order of the agents is the same. The developed and proposed nonlinear distributed cooperative control schemes are based on the dynamic surface control methodology for a network of heterogeneous autonomous vehicles with uncertainties. The development and investigation of the dynamic surface control methodology for a team of cooperative heterogenous multi‐agent nonlinear systems is accomplished for the first time in the literature. Simulation results corresponding to a team of six AUVs are provided to demonstrate and illustrate the advantages and superiority of our proposed cooperative control strategies as compared to the methods that are available in the literature. This paper investigates the problem of consensus tracking control for second‐order multi‐agent systems in the presence of uncertain dynamics and bounded external disturbances. The communication ?ow among neighbor agents is described by an undirected connected graph. A fast terminal sliding manifold based on lumped state errors that include absolute and relative state errors is proposed, and then a distributed finite‐time consensus tracking controller is developed by using terminal sliding mode and Chebyshev neural networks. In the proposed control scheme, Chebyshev neural networks are used as universal approximators to learn unknown nonlinear functions in the agent dynamics online, and a robust control term using the hyperbolic tangent function is applied to counteract neural‐network approximation errors and external disturbances, which makes the proposed controller be continuous and hence chattering‐free. Meanwhile, a smooth projection algorithm is employed to guarantee that estimated parameters remain within some known bounded sets. Furthermore, the proposed control scheme for each agent only employs the information of its neighbor agents and guarantees a group of agents to track a time‐varying reference trajectory even when the reference signals are available to only a subset of the group members. Most importantly, finite‐time stability in both the reaching phase and the sliding phase is guaranteed by a Lyapunov‐based approach. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to demonstrate the performance of the proposed controller and show that the proposed controller exceeds to a linear hyperplane‐based sliding mode controller. In this paper, an adaptive protocol is proposed to solve the consensus problem of multi‐agent systems with high‐order nonlinear dynamics by using neural networks (NNs) to approximate the unknown nonlinear system functions. It is derived that all agents achieve consensus if the undirected interaction graph is connected, and the transient performance of the multi‐agent system is also investigated. It shows that the adaptive protocol and the consensus analysis can be easily extended to switching networks by the existing LaSalle's Invariance Principle of switched systems. A numerical simulation illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed consensus protocol. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley and Sons Asia Pte Ltd and Chinese Automatic Control Society  相似文献

This paper investigates the problem of coordinated tracking of a linear multi‐agent system subject to actuator magnitude saturation and dead zone characteristic with input additive uncertainties and disturbances. Distributed consensus and swarm tracking protocols are developed from a low‐and‐high gain feedback approach. Under the assumption that each agent is asymptotically null controllable with bounded controls, it is shown that robust semi‐global consensus tracking and swarm tracking of the multi‐agent system can always be reached provided that the networks are connected. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the theoretical results. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper addresses the consensus problem of nonlinear multi‐agent systems with unknown external disturbance. First, a distributed observer is proposed to estimate the state and unknown disturbance of each agent simultaneously. Then, a novel event‐triggered control scheme based on the agent state estimation and disturbance estimation is proposed. Unlike the existing strategies, our event‐triggered conditions depend on agent state estimation and disturbance estimation, which are more effective and practical. Under this observer and control strategy, some sufficient conditions are derived to ensure the consensus of the multi‐agent system with unknown external disturbance. Moreover, the Zeno‐behavior of triggering time sequences is also excluded. Finally, a simulation example is given to verify the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper studies synchronization to a desired trajectory for multi‐agent systems with second‐order integrator dynamics and unknown nonlinearities and disturbances. The agents can have different dynamics and the treatment is for directed graphs with fixed communication topologies. The command generator or leader node dynamics is also nonlinear and unknown. Cooperative tracking adaptive controllers are designed based on each node maintaining a neural network parametric approximator and suitably tuning it to guarantee stability and performance. A Lyapunov‐based proof shows the ultimate boundedness of the tracking error. A simulation example with nodes having second‐order Lagrangian dynamics verifies the performance of the cooperative tracking adaptive controller. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents a coordinated tracking controller for multi‐agent systems. We assume that agents are uncertain, nonidentical, and affected by external disturbances. The information available to the tracking controller is a weighted sum of relative measurements. A coordinated tracking controller based on the disturbance observer, which is known as a robust output feedback controller, is designed so that the disturbances acting on agents are attenuated and at the same time the weighted sum of relative measurements approximately satisfies a differential equation defined by the leader's dynamics, which results in practical coordinated tracking. Systematic design procedures of the controller as well as numerical simulations are provided. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
