The photolysis of ozone and formation of hydrogen peroxide were investigated in solution of pH 2–7, in a 200 cm3 photoreactor in the incident photon flow range 9.6 x 10?8 - 4.2 x 10?7 einstein s?1. The quantum yield of the primary photochemical reactions was measured in a direct way by suppressing the secondary radical reactions. The determined quantum yields of the photo-decompositions of ozone and hydrogen peroxide were 0.42 ± 0.042 ± 0.04 and 0.49 ± 0.04, respectively.

A correct mathematical treatment is given for calculation of the light absorption of the individual components of a multi-absorbent reaction mixture.

On the basis of the literature data and die present results, a probable chemical and reaction kinetic model was proposed to characterize the investigated reaction systems. Reaction kinetic simulations demonstrated that the model predicts a good fit to the measured data with the preferred literature rate constants, except that for the HO3 radical decomposition reaction. A reasonable reduction of this rate coefficient value is in accordance with the latest published results.  相似文献

An existing differential mobility analyzer (DMA) of cylindrical electrodes and a novel DMA of rectangular plate electrodes are demonstrated for size fractionation of nanoparticles at high-aerosol flow rates in this work. The two DMAs are capable of delivering monodisperse size selected nanoparticles (SMPS σg < 1.1) at gas flow rates ranging from 200 slm to 500 slm. At an aerosol flow rate of 200 slm, the maximum attainable particle mean size is of about 20 nm for the cylindrical DMA and of nearly 50 nm for the rectangular plate DMA. The number concentration of the monodisperse nanoparticles delivered by the high-flow DMAs spans from 104 cm?3 to 106 cm?3 depending upon the particle mean size and particle size dispersion.

This study introduces a spark discharge system (SDS) as a way to simulate welding fumes. The SDS was developed using welding rods as electrodes with an optional coagulation chamber. The size, morphology, composition, and concentration of the fume produced and the concentration of ozone (O3) and nitrogen oxides (NOX) were characterized. The number median diameter (NMD) and total number concentration (TNC) of fresh fume particles were ranged 10–23 nm and 3.1×107 ? 6×107 particles/cm3, respectively. For fresh fume particles, the total mass concentration (TMC) measured gravimetrically ranged 85–760 μg/m3. The size distribution was stable over a period of 12 h. The NMD and TNC of aged fume particles were ranged 81–154 nm and 1.5×106?2.7×106 particles/cm3, respectively. The composition of the aged fume particles was dominated by Fe and O with an estimated stoichiometry between that of Fe2O3 and Fe3O4. Concentrations of O3 and NOX were ranged 0.07–2.2 ppm and 1–20 ppm, respectively. These results indicate that the SDS is capable of producing stable fumes over a long-period that are similar to actual welding fumes. This system may be useful in toxicological studies and evaluation of instrumentation.

A new polar nephelometer (PN) has been developed to measure simultaneously the scattering angular distributions from 11.7° to 168.3° for individual particles in planes parallel and perpendicular to the polarization of the incident laser beam. Each detection plane had 21 silicon photodiode detectors to detect scattered light at a rate of 100 Hz. Laboratory experiments to validate the performance of the instrument were conducted using nearly mono-disperse spherical particles (polystyrene latex [PSL] and nigrosine) and nonspherical particles (sodium chloride [NaCl] and soot). The observed scattering angular distributions for individual PSL particles were in good agreement with the results of simulations based on Mie theory. Complex refractive index values for nigrosine particles were determined by comparing the observed scattering angular distributions with the results of simulations. Clear differences between the measured scattering angular distributions and the results of simulations based on Mie theory assuming spherical particles were observed for NaCl particles (mobility diameters of 500 and 700 nm) and propane soot particles (mobility diameters of 300, 500, and 700 nm). These results are reasonably explained by theoretical predictions. We also conducted initial observations of ambient particles in Nagoya city, Japan. Scattering angular distributions for particles with a mobility diameter of 500 nm and an average effective density of 1.4 or 0.3 g/cm3, which were selected with a combination of differential mobility analyzer and aerosol mass particle analyzer, were measured using the PN. As results, scattering angular distributions for nearly spherical inorganic and organic particles with an average effective density of around 1.4 g/cm3 were found to be distinguishable from nonspherical particles with an average effective density of around 0.3 g/cm3. This study has demonstrated that our PN has the potential to distinguish between spherical and nonspherical particles.

Objectives: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of bioactive glass–ceramic particles (Biosilicate®) addition on surface nanoroughness and topography of Resin-modified glass ionomer cements (RMGICs).

Methods: Experimental materials were made by incorporating 2 wt% of Biosilicate® into Fuji II LC® (FL) and Vitremer® (VT) powders. Disks of RMGICs (with and without Biosilicate®) measuring 0.5 cm (diameter) × 0.5 mm (thickness) were fabricated and polished. Samples were stored at 37 °C in dry or immersed in distilled water for 30 days. Digital images (20 × 20 μm) from the surfaces were obtained by means of an atomic force microscopy. Three images were acquired for each sample, and four nanoroughness measurements were performed in each image. Nanoroughness (Ra, nm) was assessed by Nanoscope Software V7. Data were analyzed with ANOVA and Student–Newman–Keuls multiple comparisons (p < 0.05). SEM images were obtained for surface topography analysis.

Results: FL was significantly rougher than VT (p < 0.05) in wet and dry conditions. The addition of Biosilicate® increased the surface roughness in VT and decreased in FL, regardless of the storage media (p ≤ 0.05). No differences existed between materials and storage conditions after Biosilicate® addition. Significance: The Biosilicate® particles addition produced changes on the surface nanoroughness of the RMGICs. These changes depended on the particles size of the original cements in dry conditions. In water storage, dissolution of the Biosilicate® particles, a silica-rich gel formation, and a hydroxyl carbonate apatite precipitation on the surface of the materials changed the nanoroughness surface. FL was the roughest in both conditions.

Objectives: To investigate the effect of different self-etch adhesive systems application techniques: active or passive in a single or double layer on adhesive–dentin microshear bond strength.

Methods: Occlusal surfaces of 48 extracted human molars were ground to expose flat superficial dentin surfaces. Specimens were randomly divided into two main groups according to the tested self-etch adhesive system either: One-step self-etch (AdperTM easy-one) or two-step self-etch (AdperTM SE Plus). Each adhesive system was applied on the prepared dentin surfaces followed one of these techniques: (1) Passive application of a single layer, (2) Active application of single layer, (3) Passive application of double adhesive layer (with light curing in between), and (4) Active application of double adhesive layers. Resin composite was packed inside micro-tubes fixed on the bonded dentin surfaces and light cured for 40 s. All specimens were stored in artificial saliva either for 24 h or 3 months before testing. Microshear bond strength test was employed using a universal testing machine at a crosshead speed of 0.5 mm/min.

Results: AdperTM SE Plus showed higher significant microshear bond strength in compared with AdperTM easy-one. For both adhesive systems active application showed higher significant microshear bond strength to dentin than passive application. Double application of adhesive systems showed lower microshear bond strength than single application.

Conclusion: Active application of self-etch adhesives could improve the dentin microshear bond strength. Double application with curing in between the layers did not improve the bond strength to the tested adhesive.  相似文献

An aerosol-based process for coating the surface of arbitrary “carrier” particles with other types of (smaller) “coating” particles via mutual electrostatic attraction is described. Its practical viability was tested by depositing negatively charged 12-nm palladium particles on 250-nm silica spheres carrying a charge of approximately +40 units each. At respective concentrations of 3 to 8 × 106 particles per cm3 (with a charge fraction of about 25%) and 1 × 104 particles per cm3, the deposition process runs to completion (i.e., to neutralization of the carrier particles) within less than a minute. Comparative estimates show that electrostatically enhanced deposition rates are up to 50 times higher than purely thermal collisions. Transmission electron micrographs show a fairly uniform distribution of coating particles across the surface of the carrier particles. The electrostatic coating kinetics were determined experimentally via the charge loss of the carrier particles and compared also to numerical simulations using Zebel's model for electrostatic enhancement of the collision kernel. Measured rates were generally within 10–15% of the simulations, except for the very early stages of attachment (the first 10 s), where agreement was found to be rather sensitive to the coating particle concentration, possibly due to space charge effects.

Purpose: To investigate the effects of phosphoric acid esters (PAEs)-containing primers on the micro-tensile bond strengths (MTBS) of etched enamel, the micro-morphologies of the resin–enamel interfaces, and the enamel surfaces.

Materials and Methods: Thirty-three bovine incisors were used in this study. After the labial enamel surfaces were highly polished, they were etched, water sprayed, and air-dried. Afterward, the enamel surfaces were treated with or without (control) one of three PAEs-containing primers (40%MDP, Ivoclar Vivadent; Resulcin AquaPrime A + B, DMG; Xeno V, Dentsply), water sprayed, and air-dried. Subsequently, an adhesive Heliobond (Ivoclar Vivadent) was applied and resin composite (Core Build-up, Bisco) was placed incrementally. They were prepared into multiple beams of about 1 × 1 × 8 mm for MTBS tests. The enamel surfaces and resin–enamel interfaces were analyzed by SEM and TEM. The data were analyzed by two-way ANOVA and LSD test.

Results: Using PAEs-containing primers could increase the enamel MTBS (p < 0.05). The primer MDP produced higher MTBS than the primer Resulcin AquaPrime A + B and Xeno V. The SEM findings revealed the primed enamel surfaces were covered with a thin or glue-like layer of monomer-calcium salts of PAEs and the residual enamel crystallites, and various micro-porosities were detected within the hybrid layers. The TEM findings revealed the hydroxyapatite crystallites were tightly covered by the adhesive, the adhesive mixed with resin composite, or sparse irregular enamel crystallites.

Conclusion: The application of PAEs-containing primers on the etched enamel substrate could significantly increase the immediate enamel bond strengths. However, this effect was dependent on the individual PAEs-containing primer used.  相似文献

Objectives: The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of different desensitizers’ application on the microleakage of previously restored Class V composite resin restorations.

Materials and methods: Class V cavities were prepared on the buccal surfaces of 40 extracted human third molars. Forty box-shaped cavities were divided into four groups, based on the desensitizers used (n = 10). All teeth were restored with the same bonding agent and composite material. No desensitizer was applied in the control group. In the experimental groups, BisBlock, Gluma and Universal bonding agents were the desensitizers. The desensitizers were applied after completion of composite restorations according to manufacturers’ instructions. All specimens were then thermocycled at 5–55 °C, with a 10-s dwell time for 500 cycles. The samples were then immersed in 0.5% methylene blue dye for 24 h, sectioned into two equal halves, evaluated for microleakage using a stereomicroscope at 30× magnification and scored on a scale of 0–3. The data were analysed using the Kruskal–Wallis test at the significance level p < 0.05.

Results: There were no significant differences in microleakage after desensitizer application (p > 0.05). However, based on the obtained numerical values in our study, while the BisBlock and bonding groups showed lower microleakage at the occlusal margin, BisBlock, Gluma and bonding group showed lower microleakage at the gingival margin compared to the control group.

Conclusions: The application of desensitizers as a post-treatment option could be considered an advisable procedure to minimize microleakage.  相似文献

The Institute of Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN in French) is conducting research on the impact of a fire on the behaviour of containment devices such as high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) pleated filters for radioactive materials. This work aims to study the clogging of HEPA filters in case of fire involving realistic materials (polymers making up gloves boxes, waste treatment solvent, hydraulic oil, solid material mixtures making up a trash bin, electrical cables, and cabinets) used in nuclear facilities, from the medium to large scale. The clogging kinetics of industrial pleated HEPA filters is monitored by measuring the pressure drop of the filters and the filtered air temperature at a given filtration velocity (from 0.23 to 2.1 cm/s). Upstream HEPA filters, combustion aerosols are characterized in terms of size distribution, mass concentration, composition, and particle morphology using, respectively, a DMS500 (CambustionLTD), glass fiber filter sampling, and transmission electron microscope analysis of particles deposited on TEM grids. Particles emitted denote well-known fractal morphology, are composed of carbonaceous primary particles with diameters ranging from 31 nm to 48 nm and showing an high clogging efficiency. An empirical relationship has been successfully applied to the obtained results for a larger range of fuels, filtration velocities and fire conditions.

Finally, experiments have been performed on a large-scale facility, using full-scale fire scenarios (electrical cabinet, constant, and variable filtration velocity) and a reasonable agreement was observed with our empirical relationship. At this scale, particles appear to be compact, with a complex composition and diameters close to 220 nm with a lower clogging efficiency.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to assess the influence of an in vitro aging regime (NaOCl storage) on dentine microtensile bond strength (μTBS) of five one-step one-bottle self-etch adhesives in comparison with bond strength of two-step self-etch adhesive.

Material and methods: Flattened dentine surfaces from 30 bovine incisors were bonded with five one-step one-bottle self-etch adhesives (iBond, Clearfil S3 Bond, AdheSE One F, G-Bond, Optibond all-in-one) and one two-step self-etching adhesive (Clearfil SE Bond). Composite buildups were done with microhybrid resin composite. Bonded samples were sectioned into resin–dentine sticks of 0.8 mm2 cross section. Randomly selected 20 sticks were tested directly by microtensile bond strength testing machine, whereas another randomly selected 20 sticks were tested after being stored in solution of 10% NaOCl for 5 h. Data were analyzed by two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Tukey’s honest significant difference (HSD) tests (p < 0.05).

Results: All adhesives exhibited similar dentine bond strength with exception of G-Bond. After NaOCl storage, μTBS reduced in all groups significantly. The lowest μTBS were found for G-Bond. Rest of one-step self-etch adhesives presented similar μTBS with two-step self-etch adhesive.

Conclusion: Interfaces of resin–dentine bonding are susceptible to NaOCl degradation. The amount of the destruction depends on adhesive system. NaOCl degradation of the nonresin encapsulated collagen fibers might decrease long-term stability of resin bonding with dentine.  相似文献

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect nanosilica and nanoalumina has on nanoparticle release from industrial nanocomposites due to drilling for hazard reduction whilst simultaneously obtaining the necessary mechanical performance. This study is therefore specifically designed such that all background noise is eliminated in the measurements range of 0.01 particles/cm3 and ±10% at 106 particles/cm3. The impact nano-sized SiO2 and Al2O3 reinforced polyester has on nanoparticle aerosols generated due to drilling is investigated. Real-time measurement was conducted within a specially designed controlled test chamber using a condensation particle counter (CPC) and a scanning mobility particle sizer spectrometer (SMPS). The results show that the polyester nanocomposite samples displayed statistically significant differences and an increase in nanoparticle number concentration by up to 228% compared to virgin polyester. It is shown that the nanofillers adhered to the polyester matrix showing a higher concentration of larger particles released (between 20 – 100 nm). The increase in nanoparticle reinforcement weight concentration and resulting nanoparticle release vary considerably between the nanosilica and nanoalumina samples due to the nanofillers presence. This study indicates a future opportunity to safer by design strategy that reduces number of particles released concentration and sizes without compromising desired mechanical properties for engineered polymers and composites.

Air pollution has been recognised as one of the major risk factors for the global burden of disease. In modern society the majority of the exposure occurs indoors where people spend most of their time. Indoor air quality may be improved with portable air cleaners utilizing various cleaning techniques, such as filtration, electrostatic precipitation, and ionization. The objective of this study was to quantify air cleaner particle removal by particle size resolved clean air delivery rates (CADR). This was obtained by utilizing particle concentration measurements and indoor aerosol modeling. Our test protocol was applied to five air cleaners designed for household and office use. For particles with diameters above 100 nm and at the chosen settings, the CADR was around 40 m3/h for an ion generator, around 70 m3/h for an electrostatic precipitator, and ranging from 100 to almost 300 m3/h for the three filter-based air cleaners. Similar performances were obtained for ultrafine particles, except for the ion generator that performed better in this size range.

In this study, nanosized (<100 nm) aerosol particles with high mass concentrations for inhalation tests were generated by a spray-drying technique with combining Coulomb explosion and rapid evaporation of the droplets. Under typical spray-drying conditions, aerosol particles with average diameter of 50–150 nm were prepared from a suspension of NiO nanoparticles with a primary diameter of 15–30 nm. Under the Coulomb explosion method, the sprayed droplets were charged by being mixed with unipolar ions to break up the droplets, which resulted in the generation of smaller aerosol particles with diameters of 15–30 nm and high number concentrations. Under the rapid evaporation method, the droplets were heated immediately after being sprayed to avoid inertial impaction on the flow path due to shrinkage of the droplet, which increased the mass concentration of the aerosol particles. The combination of the Coulomb explosion and rapid evaporation of droplets resulted in the generation of aerosol particles with sizes less than 100 nm and mass concentrations greater than 1 mg/m3; these values are often necessary for inhalation tests. The aerosols generated under the combined method exhibited good long-term stability for inhalation tests. The techniques developed in this study were also applied to other metal oxide nanoparticle materials and to fibrous multiwalled carbon nanotubes.

Objective: This study investigated the bond strength of two resin cements (Panavia F 2.0 and Multilink N) to different CAD/CAM materials: resin nanoceramic (RNC; Lava Ultimate), hybrid ceramic (HC; Vita Enamic), zirconia-reinforced lithium silicate ceramic (ZLDC; Vita Suprinity), and lithium disilicate glass-ceramic (LDG; IPS e.max CAD HT).

Material and methods: CAD/CAM blocks of 2-mm thickness were sectioned with a slow-speed diamond-saw sectioning machine. The slabs were then embedded in autopolymerizing acrylic resin (n = 12), and resin cements were applied to the surface of the specimens. All specimens were stored in water for 24 h and subjected to 5000 thermal cycles. Bond strength was measured by means of the shear bond strength test. The data were statistically analyzed by two-way ANOVA and Tukey LSD post hoc tests.

Results: The results of the two-way ANOVA test indicated that the bond strength values varied significantly depending on the CAD/CAM restorative materials, resin cements, and interaction of these variables (p < 0.05). The RNC group showed the highest bond strength for Panavia F 2.0 (p < 0.05); there were no significant differences among other CAD/CAM materials for Panavia F 2.0 (p > 0.05). The LDG group showed the highest bond strength for Multilink N, it was followed by the ZLDC group (p < 0.05); there were no significant differences between RNC and HC groups (p > 0.05).

Conclusions: Choosing resin cements for restorations should be done carefully because bond strength values vary significantly depending on the resin cement and CAD/CAM restorative material.  相似文献

Black carbon (BC) is important for climate forcing, and its effects on the Earth's radiative balance remain a major uncertainty in climate models. In this study, we investigated the mixing state of refractory black carbon (rBC) and aerosol optical properties in a polluted atmosphere at Xi’an, western China. The average rBC mass concentration was 9.9 μg m?3 during polluted periods, 7.6 times higher than that in clean periods. About 48.6% of the rBC was internally-mixed or coated with nonrefractory materials during polluted periods; this was 27% higher than in clean periods. Correlation analysis between the number fraction of thickly-coated rBC particles (fBC) and the major particulate species indicate that organics may be the primary contributor to rBC coatings during polluted periods. The average mass absorption cross section of rBC (MACBC) particles at λ = 870 nm was 7.6 ± 0.02 m2 g?1 for the entire campaign. The MACBC showed a positive correlation with fBC, and the enhancement of MACBC due to internal mixing was 1.8 times. These observations suggest that an enhancement of BC absorption by a factor of ~2 could be appropriate for climate models associated with high PM2.5 levels.

Objective: To evaluate the influence of manual and mechanical mixing techniques as well as the effects of moisture on the push-out bond strength of ProRoot MTA (Dentsply Tulsa Dental, Tulsa, OK, USA) and Biodentine (Septodont, Saint Maur des Fosses, France) to radicular dentin.

Material and methods: Two hundred and forty dentin discs were assigned into three groups with respect to the moisture condition tested: (1) dry, (2) paper points, (3) wet. The discs were further divided into four subgroups according to the calcium silicate cements (CSCs) and mixing techniques used: (1) ProRoot MTA mixed manually, (2) ProRoot MTA mixed mechanically, (3) Biodentine mixed manually, and (4) Biodentine mixed mechanically. Bond strengths of the cements to root canal dentin were measured using a push-out test setup. The data were statistically analyzed using three-way ANOVA and Bonferroni post hoc test p = 0.05.

Results: The data indicated that the push-out bond strength values were significantly affected by CSCs, mixing techniques, and moisture conditions (p < 0.001). Dry conditions caused a significant decrease in bond strength values for both CSCs (p < 0.001). The mean bond strength of Biodentine was significantly higher than that of ProRoot MTA, regardless of the mixing techniques and moisture conditions (p < 0.001). Mechanical mixing favored bond strength values statistically compared to manual mixing (p < .001).

Conclusion: The mixing techniques and moisture conditions have an effect on the push-out bond strengths of ProRoot MTA and Biodentine. Dry samples and manual mixing of cements deteriorate the push-out bond strengths values.  相似文献

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the degree of conversion (DC) of two different resin cements polymerized under the monolithic zirconia specimens in different thicknesses and colors.

Material and methods: Partially stabilized monolithic zirconia blocks (inCoris TZI) were cut into three different thicknesses (0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 mm) and the specimens were divided into four color groups (A1, A2, A3, and A4). The light transmittance of each specimen was measured. Panavia F 2.0 or Variolink N resin cement was applied into teflon mold and irradiated using the light emitting diode curing unit for 20 s under monolithic zirconia specimen (n = 10). The resin cement specimens were stored at room temperature under dry conditions. The DC of each specimen was measured by Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflection (FT-IR/ATR) spectroscopy after the 1st and 10th day. Data were analyzed with two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), two-way repeated measures ANOVA, three-way repeated measures ANOVA, and the Tukey least significant difference (LSD) tests (α = 0.05).

Results: The light-cure resin cement groups showed higher DC than the dual-cure resin cement groups (p < 0.05). The DC of both resin cements reduced with an increase in the thickness and darkening of the color of monolithic zirconia specimens. There was a statistically meaningful increase in the 10th-day values for dual-cure resin cement (p < 0.05), whereas there were no significant differences between the 1st- and 10th-day values for light-cure resin cement (p > 0.05).

Conclusion: The use of light-cure resin cement can be suggested for the luting of monolithic zirconia restorations.  相似文献

A laser-induced breakdown spectrometer (LIBS) was developed for determining the elemental composition of individual airborne particles. The system employs two lasers focused on a narrow beam of particles. A continuous wave laser placed upstream scatters light from particles, while a pulse laser downstream ablates the particles. The scattered light from the upstream laser is used to trigger the downstream pulse laser, resulting in more accurate hitting of the particles than a free-firing laser system without the triggering signal (i.e., constant pulse laser firing). Various laboratory-generated aerosols (NaCl, MgCl2, KCl, and CaCl2) were used to evaluate the newly developed LIBS system. Particles were tightly focused into a center line with a sheath air focusing system using an optimum aerosol-to-sheath air velocity ratio. The locations of both the scattering laser and pulse laser beams were precisely controlled by a motorized X-Y stage controller. Data showed that for the LIBS with the triggering system, the hitting efficiency (%) of particles (200–600 nm) significantly increased (e.g., 350 nm particles had more than 26 times higher hitting efficiency at 1,000 particles/cm3), and much lower limits of particle size (~200 nm) and number concentration (<100 particles/cm3) were achieved compared to the free-firing laser condition. Additionally, the hitting rate (hits/min) significantly increased with the triggering system. Our results suggest that the LIBS with the triggering system can be useful for real-time detection of elements of particles existing at low number concentrations (e.g., atmospheric particles) and for the determination of the variation of elemental composition among particles.

The objective of this study was to obtain the multi-metric occupational exposure assessment to graphene family nanomaterials (GFNs) particles of workers engaged in the large-scale production of graphene. The study design consisted of the combination of (i) direct-reading instruments, used to evaluate the total particle number concentrations relative to the background concentration (time series with spatial approach) and the mean size-dependent characteristics of particles (mean diameter and surface-area concentration) and (ii) filter-based air sampling for the determination of size-resolved particle mass concentrations. The data obtained from direct reading measurement were then used to estimate the 8-h time weighted average (8-h TWA) exposure to GFNs particles for workers involved in different working tasks. Workers were generally exposed to 8-h TWA GFNs particle levels lower than the proposed reference value (40,000 particle/cm3). Furthermore, despite high short-term exposure conditions were present during specific operations of the production process, the possibility of significant exposure peaks is not likely to be expected. The estimated 8-h TWA concentration showed differences between the unexposed (<100 particle/cm3; <0.05 µg/m3) and exposed subjects (mean concentration ranging from 909 to 6438 particle/cm3 and from 0.38 to 3.86 µg/m3). The research outcomes can be of particular interest because the exposure of workers in real working conditions was assessed with a multi-metric approach; in this regard, the study suggests that workers who are directly involved in some specific working task (material sampling for quality control) have higher potential for occupational exposure than operators who are in charge of routine production work.
