Yanshan Petrochemical Company Kicked off the Construction of 500kt/a Hexene-1 Unit

The construction of the first in China demonstration unit for manufacture of coal-based synthetic oil has been kicked off in the Tunliu coal mine of Shanxi Lu＇an Group. It is learned that this is a coal-based syncrude technology, the intellectual property rights on which is fully owned by the Chinese organization. The investment in this project totals 1.886 billion RMB, and the diesel fuel obtained can be directly used in the motor vehicles without any processing procedures with its fuel consumption per 100 km being by 30% 40% less than conventional automotive fuel and the exhaust gas emissions being less than that specified by the Euro Ⅳ emission standard.
