The contents of As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Hg, Mg, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn in eleven fruiting bodies of Boletus tomentipes were determined. The results showed the values of the studied elements decreased in the order: Mg (208–279 mg kg−1) > Fe (106–137 mg kg−1) > Mn (29.5–46.8. mg kg−1) > Zn (18.7–23.1 mg kg−1), > Cu (11.4–15.8 mg kg−1) > Cr (3.36–4.78 mg kg−1) > Pb (1.38–3.88 mg kg−1) > Ni (1.68–3.01 mg kg−1) > Cd (0.16–0.32 mg kg−1) > As (0.10–0.24 mg kg−1) > Hg (<0.06 mg kg−1).  相似文献

Rosmarinus officinalis L. is a perennial herb that belongs to the Lamiaceae family. It is used as a food flavouring agent, and well known medicinally for its powerful antimutagenic, antibacterial and chemopreventive properties. Essential oils were obtained from this plant by hydrodistillation (HD) and solvent free microwave extraction (SFME). GC–MS analyses of the oils revealed the presence of 24 and 21 compounds in the essential oils obtained through HD and SFME, respectively. The total yield of the volatile fractions obtained through HD and SFME was 0.31% and 0.39%, respectively. Higher amounts of oxygenated monoterpenes such as borneol, camphor, terpene-4-ol, linalool, α-terpeneol (28.6%) were present in the oil of SFME in comparison with HD (26.98%). However, HD oil contained more monoterpene hydrocarbons such as α-pinene, camphene, β-pinene, myrcene, α-phellanderene, 1,8-cineole, trans β-ocimene, γ-terpenene, and cis sabinene hydrate (32.95%) than SFME extracted oil (25.77%). The essential oils obtained using the two methods of extraction were active against all the bacteria tested at a concentration of 10 mg ml−1. Minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values for all the susceptible bacteria ranged between 0.23 mg ml−1 and 7.5 mg ml−1.  相似文献

Ten popular species of both edible and medicinal Korean mushrooms were analysed for their free amino acids and disaccharides. The average total free amino acid concentration was 120.79 mg g−1 in edible mushrooms and 61.47 mg g−1 in medicinal mushrooms, respectively. The average total of free amino acids for all mushrooms, edible mushrooms and medicinal mushrooms was 91.13 mg g−1. Agaricus blazei (227.00 mg g−1) showed the highest concentration of total free amino acids; on the other hand, Inonotus obliquus (2.00 mg g−1) showed the lowest concentration among the 10 species of mushrooms. The average total carbohydrates concentration was 46.67 mg g−1 in the 10 species of mushrooms, where the edible mushrooms contained 66.68 mg g−1 and the medicinal mushrooms contained 26.65 mg g−1. The carbohydrates constituents of the 10 mushroom species were mainly mannose (36.23%), glucose (34.70%), and xylose (16.83%).  相似文献

A simple and reliable reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of danshensu, protocatechuic aldehyde, rosemarinic acid, salvianolic acid B, dihydrotanshinone I, tanshinone I, cryptotanshinone and tanshinone IIA in Salvia herbs. The contents of these eight main components were compared between Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge and Salvia przewalskii Maxim, which were used for treating coronary heart diseases, cerebrovascular disease, bone loss, hepatitis, hepatocirrhosis and chronic renal failure. The samples were successfully separated by the HPLC method. All the standard compounds showed a good linearity (R2 > 0.9994) in the relatively wide concentration range. The limit of detection of the eight compounds was in the range of 0.05–0.5 μg/ml and the limit of quantification was in the range of 0.25–1.50 μg/ml. The intra-day variability was in the range of 0.03–8.08% and the inter-day variability was in the range of 0.18–12.36%. The recoveries of the selected compounds were in the range of 96.2–108.1%. This method was accurate, precise and reproducible, and could be successfully applied to the quality control and stable experiment for the preparations consisted of these active components, and the content comparison of the herbs from Salvia species.  相似文献

The chemical composition, antioxidant and antibacterial activities of essential oils isolated by hydrodistillation from the aerial parts of Tunisian Thymus capitatus Hoff. et Link. during the different phases of the plant development, and from different locations, were evaluated. The chemical composition was analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). The main components of the essential oils were carvacrol (62–83%), p-cymene (5–17%), γ-terpinene (2–14%) and β-caryophyllene (1–4%). The antioxidant activity of the oils (100–1000 mg l−1) was assessed by measurement of metal chelating activity, the reductive potential, the free radical scavenging (DPPH) and by the TBARS assay. The antioxidant activity was compared with that of synthetic antioxidants: butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT). Both the essential oils and BHA and BHT showed no metal chelating activity. Although with the other methodologies, there was a general increase in the antioxidant activity, with increasing oil concentration, maxima being obtained in the range of 500 and 1000 mg l−1 for flowering and post-flowering phase oils. Major differences were obtained according to the methodology of antioxidant capacity evaluation. Antibacterial ability of Th. capitatus essential oils was tested by disc agar diffusion against Bacillus cereus, Salmonella sp., Listeria innocua, four different strains of Staphylococus aureus (C15, ATCC25923, CFSA-2) and a multi-resistant form of S. aureus (MRSA-2). Antibacterial properties were compared to synthetic antibiotics. Higher antibacterial activity was observed with the flowering and the post-flowering phase essential oils.  相似文献

Minor carbohydrates present in carrot (Daucus carota L.) have been studied by GC–MS analysis of their trimethylsilyl derivatives because of their remarkable role in a variety of biological functions. Scyllo-inositol and sedoheptulose (d-altro-2-heptulose), identified for the first time in this paper were present in all the carrots analysed in concentrations ranging 1.5–5.8 and 1.4–24.6 mg g−1 dried weight, respectively. Other minor carbohydrates detected in carrot were myo- inositol (2.2–9.8 mg g−1) and mannitol (traces-1.3 mg g−1). Whereas small amounts (close to 2 mg g−1) of scyllo-inositol were experimentally determined in other vegetables from the Apiaceae family (parsley, coriander and fennel), sedoheptulose was only detected at trace levels.  相似文献

The glucosinolate and phenolic profiles of 37 rocket salad accessions (32 Eruca sativa and 5 Diplotaxis tenuifolia) were obtained by liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry. Eleven desulpho-glucosinolates (DS-GLSs) were isolated and the glucosinolate profiles did not differ between the two species. Total DS-GLS content, expressed as sinigrin equivalents (SE) revealed a certain variability, ranging from 0.76 to 2.46 g kg−1 d.w. but, again, the quantitative analysis did not discriminates Eruca from Diplotaxis. The polyphenol evaluation by HPLC-DAD–MS allowed the identification of two different classes of compounds in the two rocket salad species. Qualitative differences were observed between the polyphenol profiles at specific level: quercetin derivatives were the main phenolics of Diplotaxis, whereas kaempferol derivatives characterised Eruca samples. The contents of total flavonoids determined as rutin equivalents (RE) ranged from 4.68 to 31.39 g kg−1 d.w. Kaempferol-3,4′-diglucoside (71.4–82.2%) and isorhamnetin-3,4′-di-glucoside (7.8–18.4%) were always isolated as first and second more abundant phenolic compounds in Eruca samples. No marker phenolic compounds were isolated in Diplotaxis samples.  相似文献

Cymbopogon schoenanthus L. Spreng, is an aromatic herb consumed in salads and used to prepare traditional meat recipes in Tunisia. The chemical composition, antioxidant activities and acetylcholinesterase inhibitory properties of the essential oils from fresh leaves, dried leaves and roots collected from three different locations in southern Tunisia, were evaluated. Essential oils were analysed by GC–mass spectrometry and 13C NMR. The major components were limonene (10.5–27.3%), β-phellandrene (8.2–16.3%), δ-terpinene (4.3–21.2%) and α-terpineol (6.8–11.0%). Antioxidant activity was measured by DPPH assay. The results ranged from 36.0% to 73.8% (2 μl of essential oil per mL of test solution).  相似文献

Samples of cultivated Ulva clathrata were collected from a medium scale system (MSS, 1.5 × 1.5 m tank), or from a large scale system (LSS, 0.8 ha earthen pond). MSS samples were dried directly while the LSS sample was washed in freshwater and pressed before drying. Crude protein content ranged 20–26%, essential amino acids accounting for 32–36% of crude protein. The main analysed monosaccharides were rhamnose (36–40%), uronic acids (27–29%), xylose (10–13%) and glucose (10–16%). Some notable variations between MSS and LSS samples were observed for total dietary fibre (26% vs 41%), saturated fatty acids (31% vs 51%), PUFAS (33% vs 13%), carotenoids (358 vs 169 mg kg−1 dw) and for Ca (9 vs 19 g kg−1), Fe (0.6 vs 4.2 g kg−1), Cu (44 vs 14 mg kg−1), Zn (93 vs 17 mg kg−1) and As (2 vs 9 mg kg−1). The chemical composition of U. clathrata indicates that it has a good potential for its use in human and animal food.  相似文献

Phytochemical analyses of the cultivated Sideritis raeseri subsp. raeseri in four different stages of flower development were performed. Traditionally used infusion and decoction were also prepared from aerial parts in full flowering stage, and analyses of active compounds and radical scavenging capacity were performed. The highest yield of the essential oil, obtained by hydrodistillation, was noticed in the full flowering phase (0.11%), with sesquiterpene bicyclogermacrene as the main constituent (42.5%). All examined extracts contained phenolic compounds and their amounts varied from 15.3 to 34.1 mg GAE/g DW. The amounts of total phenolics in infusion and decoction were similar (46.5 and 43.9 mg GAE/100 ml, respectively). LC–ESI-MS analyses of all samples allowed the characterisation of 22 phenolic compounds. Two dominant flavone glycosides, 4′-O-methylhypolaetin-7-O-[6?-O-acetyl-β-d-allopyranosyl (1 → 2)-β-d-glucopyranoside (17) and 4′-O-methylisoscutellarein-7-O-[6?-O-acetyl-β-d-allopyranosyl-(1 → 2)]-β-d-glucopyranoside (19) were quantified using HPLC. Berries and red fruits are rich dietary sources of polyphenols with reported health benefits. More than 50 different flavonols (glycosides of quercetin, myricetin, kaempferol, isorhamnetin, syringetin and laricitrin) have been detected and quantified with HPLC–MSn in fruits of blueberry, bilberry, cranberry, lingonberry, eastern shadbush, Japanese wineberry, black mulberry, chokeberry, red, black and white currants, jostaberry, red and white gooseberry, hardy kiwifruit, goji berry, rowan, dog rose, Chinese and midland hawthorn, wild and cultivated species of blackberry, raspberry, strawberry and elderberry. The phenolic constituents and contents varied considerably among the analyzed berry species. Elderberry contained the highest amount of total flavonols (450–568 mg kg−1 FW), followed by berry species, containing more than 200 mg kg−1 FW of total: chokeberry (267 mg kg−1), eastern shadbush (261 mg kg−1), wild grown blackberry (260 mg kg−1), rowanberry (232 mg kg−1), american cranberry (213 mg kg−1) and blackcurrants (204 mg kg−1). Strawberry (10.5 mg kg−1) and white currants (4.5 mg kg−1) contained the lowest amount of total flavonols. Quercetins represent the highest percentage (46–100%) among flavonols in most analyzed berries. In wild strawberry and gooseberry the prevailing flavonols belong to the group of isorhamnetins (50–62%) and kaempferols, which represent the major part of flavonols in currants (49–66%). Myricetin glycosides could only be detected in chokeberry, rowanberry and species from the Grossulariaceae, and Adoxaceae family and Vaccinium genus. Wild strawberry and blackberry contained from 3- to 5-fold higher total flavonols than the cultivated one.  相似文献

We investigate in this work the chemical composition by GC–EIMS, the antibacterial and the cytotoxic activities of Tunisian Nigella sativa essential oil and its bioactive compound, thymoquinone, were tested against various clinical cariogenic bacteria (n = 30). Eighty-four compounds were identified in the essential oil. The major one was p-cymene (49.48%) whereas thymoquinone represented only 0.79%. The essential oil (2.43 mg/disc) containing only 3.35 μg of thymoquinone showed pronounced dose dependant antibacterial activity against Streptococcus mitis, Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus constellatus and Gemella haemolysans (15.5 ± 0.707 mm). However, pure thymoquinone compound (150 μg/disk) was active against all the studied strains especially S. mutans and S. mitis (24.5 ± 0.71 and 22 ± 1.41 mm inhibition zones, respectively).  相似文献

The effect on quality were assessed for gilthead seabream fed five different diets: control (basal diet); BHT (basal diet with 200 mg kg−1 of butylated hydroxytoluene); rosemary (basal diet with 600 mg kg−1 of rosemary extract - Rosmarinus officinalis); carvacrol (basal diet with 500 mg kg−1 of essential oil of Thymbra capitata, carvacrol chemotype); and thymol (basal diet with 500 mg g−1 of essential oil of Thymus zygis, subspecies gracilis, thymol chemotype). After 18 weeks of experimentation, the animals were stored on ice at 4 °C for 0, 7, 14, and 21 days. Physical-chemical, microbiological and sensory analyses were carried out at each sampling point to determine the degree of deterioration in the gilthead seabream. Lower indices of oxidation were observed in animals who were administered feeds supplemented with BHT, carvacrol and (to a lesser degree) rosemary. Lower bacteria counts were observed for the BHT and thymol groups, in addition to a slower deterioration in terms of sensory perception. Accordingly, the addition of natural antioxidants to the diet may have an added effect on fish quality, delaying post mortem deterioration.  相似文献

This study was designed to examine the chemical composition and in vitro antioxidant activity of the essential oil of Clinopodium vulgare. GC–MS analysis of the oil resulted in the identification of 40 compounds, representing 99.4% of the oil; thymol (38.9%), γ-terpinene (29.6%) and p-cymene (9.1%) were the main components. The samples were subjected to a screening for their possible antioxidant activity by using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) and β-carotene-linoleic acid assays. In the first case, IC50 value of the C. vulgare essential oil was determined as 63.0 ± 2.71 μg/ml. IC50 value of thymol and γ-terpinene, the major compounds of the oil, was determined as 161 ± 1.3 μg/ml and 122 ± 2.5 μg/ml, respectively, whereas p-cymene did not show antioxidant activity. In β-carotene-linoleic acid system, C. vulgare essential oil exhibited 52.3 ± 1.19% inhibition against linoleic acid oxidation. In both systems, antioxidant capacities of BHT, curcumine and ascorbic acid were also determined in parallel experiments.  相似文献

Ethyl carbamate (EC), which is probably carcinogenic to humans, can be produced during the alcoholic fermentation of sugar-cane juice to give cachaça. The stages to produce cachaça are obtainment of sugar-cane juice, sugar-cane fermentation to wine, and obtainment of distilled fractions and residue. In order to investigate the presence of EC in the wine and in the fractions of the distillation process, as well as in the vinasse (the residue left after distillation), gas chromatography–mass spectrometry was employed. After the fermentation phase, the wine showed an average content of 122 mg L−1 of EC. Average EC content in distilled fractions was 59.7 mg L−1 for head, 52 μg·L−1 for heart and 1.57 mg L−1 for tail. EC content was 53.1 mg L−1 for vinasse. The results showed that it is essential to separate the head and tail fractions to ensure cachaça quality, with respect to EC content.  相似文献

Essential oils of 92 cutting clones from a clonal orchard of Cinnamomum osmophloeum Kaneh. were obtained by hydrodistillation and characterised by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. Our results showed that the yields of essential oils ranged between 0.09% and 2.65% (vol/fresh wt). The constituents of essential oils varied among samples. The major chemotypes classified in the individual cutting clones were cinnamaldehyde (50 plants, representing 50–95% of the total volatiles), linalool (1 plant, 73.3%), β-cubebene (2 plants, 59.4% and 78.7%), and cinnamyl acetate (1 plant, 61.8%). The antioxidant activities of the four chemotypes were determined using a 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) assay. The antioxidant activities of the essential oil decreased in the order of cinnamyl acetate > cinnamaldehyde > β-cubebene > linalool. Indigenous cinnamon oil extract showed a good free radical-scavenging capacity at all concentrations studied, except at 2 μg/ml. The scavenging activity increased with increasing concentration of the extract. The capability of the four essential oil chemotypes to reduce the stable radical, DPPH, to DPPH-H was assayed by a decrease in the IC50 values of 10.4 (cinnamyl acetate type) to 29.7 (linalool type) μg/ml. These results suggest that the leaf essential oil of C. osmophloeum possesses chemical compounds with antioxidant activity which can be used as natural preservatives in food and/or by the pharmaceutical industry. Trees in this plantation which can be used for further propagation for the production of chemotypes of interest were identified.  相似文献

Tea catechins are an important group of natural compounds associated with health promoting effects and desired commodities for the growing market of dietary supplements and functional foods. Consequently these compounds attract more interest of research groups worldwide. A reliable quantitative analysis of tea catechins is essential for human intervention studies, manufacturers of dietary supplements and quality control by authorities. UHPLC–ESI-MS/MS analytical method was chosen due to rapid runtime, high sensitivity and selectivity. The chromatographic separation of eight tea catechins was achieved within 2.5 min on C18 BEH analytical column (100 mm × 2.1 mm i.d.; 1.7 μm), whilst the gradient elution mode was employed using water:methanol mobile phase with addition of volatile organic acid. The concentration of organic acids in the mobile phase was optimised within the range of 0.01–0.1% (v/v). High sensitivities were achieved in positive (10.2-16.8 fmol/inj.) and negative ion detection mode (102.1-168.1 fmol/inj.), through accurate and complex tuning of MS parameters. The UHPLC-ESI-MS/MS method was validated in terms of linearity (>0.9997; >0.9990), range (0.02–2.40 mg L−1; 0.15-24.00 mg L−1), LOD (3.0–4.8 μg L−1; 30.1–48.0 μg L−1), LOQ (9.9–15.8 μg L−1; 150.5-240.0 μg L−1), intra-day precision (4.4-7.1% RSD; 3.3-5.1% RSD), accuracy (94.06-113.7%; 89.5-108.4%), retention time repeatability (0.0-0.5% RSD; 0.0-0.6% RSD), and peak area repeatability (1.2-4.0% RSD; 2.4-3.5% RSD) for positive and negative ion detection modes, respectively. The statistical comparison of the quantitative results obtained in positive and negative ion detection mode was performed.  相似文献

Effects of particle size, temperature, contact time, solvent-to-sage ratio and the ethanol–water ratio on the extraction of the active compounds rosmarinic acid, carnosic compounds and essential oil from dried sage (Salvia officinalis) were studied. Optimal extraction conditions giving highest yield of all three active compounds were particle diameter 1 mm, extraction temperature 40 °C, solvent-to-sage ratio of 6:1 and 55–75 wt% ethanol for up to 3 h. This gave an extract equivalent to 14.9% of dry sage, containing 6.9% rosmarinic acid (55% recovery), 10.6% carnosic compounds (75% recovery) and 7.3% essential oil (42% recovery). Scale up of the process by a factor of 100 demonstrated that the optimised laboratory scale process can be carried out without any loss of efficiency at an industrial scale.  相似文献

Five triterpene alcohols and four 4-monomethylsterols were identified by GC–MS during the ripening of Picholine olive. The quantitative characterisation of these compounds was performed using GC–FID. The results showed that the maximum level of total triterpene alcohols (263.68 mg/100 g oil) was reached at 26th week after the flowering date (WAF) of olive; whilst the highest level of total 4-monomethylsterols (234 mg/100 g oil) was attained at 24th WAF of fruit. The percentage of these two classes represented 20–33% of total phytosterols during olive maturity. 24-Methylene cycloartenol (12–207 mg/100 g oil) and cycloartenol (27–198 mg/100 g oil) were the predominant triterpene alcohols during the ripening of Picholine olive; whereas citrostadienol (30–161 mg/100 g oil) and cycloeucalenol (11–74 mg/100 g oil) were the main 4-monomethylsterol compounds followed by obtusifoliol and gramisterol. β-Amyrin, δ-amyrin and traroxerol were less present in Picholine olive and they accounted for 14% of total triterpene alcohols at complete maturity of fruit. The level of these methylsterols was overwhelmed by the amount of 4-desmethylsterols at each stage of Picholine olive maturity.  相似文献
