Single‐ and few‐layer transition‐metal dichalcogenide nanosheets, such as WSe2, TaS2, and TaSe2, are prepared by mechanical exfoliation. A Raman microscope is employed to characterize the single‐layer (1L) to quinary‐layer (5L) WSe2 nanosheets and WSe2 single crystals with a laser excitation power ranging from 20 μW to 5.1 mW. Typical first‐order together with some second‐order and combinational Raman modes are observed. A new peak at around 308 cm?1 is observed in WSe2 except for the 1L WSe2, which might arise from interlayer interactions. Red shifting of the A1g mode and the Raman peak around 308 cm?1 is observed from 1L to 5L WSe2. Interestingly, hexagonal‐ and monoclinic‐structured WO3 thin films are obtained during the local oxidation of thinner (1L–3L) and thicker (4L and 5L) WSe2 nanosheets, while laser‐burned holes are found during the local oxidation of the WSe2 single crystal. In addition, the characterization of TaS2 and TaSe2 thin layers is also conducted.  相似文献

2D metallic transition‐metal dichalcogenides (MTMDs) have recently emerged as a new class of materials for the engineering of novel electronic phases, 2D superconductors, magnets, as well as novel electronic applications. However, the mechanical exfoliation route is predominantly used to obtain such metallic 2D flakes, but the batch production remains challenging. Herein, the van der Waals epitaxial growth of monocrystalline, 1T‐phase, few‐layer metallic VSe2 nanosheets on an atomically flat mica substrate via a “one‐step” chemical vapor deposition method is reported. The thickness of the VSe2 nanosheets is precisely tuned from several nanometers to several tenths of nanometers. More significantly, the 2D VSe2 single crystals are found to present an excellent metallic feature, as evidenced by the extra‐high electrical conductivity of up to 106 S m?1, 1–4 orders of magnitude higher than that of various conductive 2D materials. The thickness‐dependent charge‐density‐wave phase transitions are also examined through low‐temperature transport measurements, which reveal that the synthesized 2D metallic 1T‐VSe2 nanosheets should serve as good research platforms for the detecting novel many‐body states. These results open a new path for the synthesis and property investigations of nanoscale‐thickness 2D MTMDs crystals.  相似文献

In this work, hydroxyl‐functionalized Mo2C‐based MXene nanosheets are synthesized by facilely removing the Sn layer of Mo2SnC. The hydroxyl‐functionalized surface of Mo2C suppresses the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) through strong interaction between Mo atoms on the MXenes surface and LiPSs. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are further introduced into Mo2C phase to enlarge the specific surface area of the composite, improve its electronic conductivity, and alleviate the volume change during discharging/charging. The strong surface‐bound sulfur in the hierarchical Mo2C‐CNTs host can lead to a superior electrochemical performance in lithium–sulfur batteries. A large reversible capacity of ≈925 mAh g ? 1 is observed after 250 cycles at a current density of 0.1 C (1 C = 1675 mAh g?1) with good rate capability. Notably, the electrodes with high loading amounts of sulfur can also deliver good electrochemical performances, i.e., initial reversible capacities of ≈1314 mAh g?1 (2.4 mAh cm?2), ≈1068 mAh g?1 (3.7 mAh cm?2), and ≈959 mAh g?1 (5.3 mAh cm?2) at various areal loading amounts of sulfur (1.8, 3.5, and 5.6 mg cm?2) are also observed, respectively.  相似文献

Nanostructured transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are proven to be efficient and robust earth‐abundant electrocatalysts to potentially replace precious platinum‐based catalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER). However, the catalytic efficiency of reported TMD catalysts is still limited by their low‐density active sites, low conductivity, and/or uncleaned surface. Herein, a general and facile method is reported for high‐yield, large‐scale production of water‐dispersed, ultrasmall‐sized, high‐percentage 1T‐phase, single‐layer TMD nanodots with high‐density active edge sites and clean surface, including MoS2, WS2, MoSe2, Mo0.5W0.5S2, and MoSSe, which exhibit much enhanced electrochemical HER performances as compared to their corresponding nanosheets. Impressively, the obtained MoSSe nanodots achieve a low overpotential of ?140 mV at current density of 10 mA cm?2, a Tafel slope of 40 mV dec?1, and excellent long‐term durability. The experimental and theoretical results suggest that the excellent catalytic activity of MoSSe nanodots is attributed to the high‐density active edge sites, high‐percentage metallic 1T phase, alloying effect and basal‐plane Se‐vacancy. This work provides a universal and effective way toward the synthesis of TMD nanostructures with abundant active sites for electrocatalysis, which can also be used for other applications such as batteries, sensors, and bioimaging.  相似文献

The exploration of highly efficient electrocatalysts for both oxygen and hydrogen generation via water splitting is receiving considerable attention in recent decades. Up till now, Pt‐based catalysts still exhibit the best hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance and Ir/Ru‐based oxides are identified as the benchmark for oxygen evolution reaction (OER). However, the high cost and rarity of these materials extremely hinder their large‐scale applications. This paper describes the construction of the ultrathin defect‐enriched 3D Se‐(NiCo)Sx/(OH)x nanosheets for overall water splitting through a facile Se‐induced hydrothermal treatment. Via Se‐induced fabrication, highly efficient Se‐(NiCo)Sx/(OH)x nanosheets are successfully fabricated through morphology optimization, defect engineering, and electronic structure tailoring. The as‐prepared hybrids exhibit relatively low overpotentials of 155 and 103 mV at the current density of 10 mA cm?2 for OER and HER, respectively. Moreover, an overall water‐splitting device delivers a current density of 10 mA cm?2 for ≈66 h without obvious degradation.  相似文献

Nanoscale surface‐engineering plays an important role in improving the performance of battery electrodes. Nb2O5 is one typical model anode material with promising high‐rate lithium storage. However, its modest reaction kinetics and low electrical conductivity obstruct the efficient storage of larger ions of sodium or potassium. In this work, partially surface‐amorphized and defect‐rich black niobium oxide@graphene (black Nb2O5?x@rGO) nanosheets are designed to overcome the above Na/K storage problems. The black Nb2O5?x@rGO nanosheets electrodes deliver a high‐rate Na and K storage capacity (123 and 73 mAh g?1, respectively at 3 A g?1) with long‐term cycling stability. Besides, both Na‐ion and K‐ion full batteries based on black Nb2O5?x@rGO nanosheets anodes and vanadate‐based cathodes (Na0.33V2O5 and K0.5V2O5 for Na‐ion and K‐ion full batteries, respectively) demonstrate promising rate and cycling performance. Notably, the K‐ion full battery delivers higher energy and power densities (172 Wh Kg?1 and 430 W Kg?1), comparable to those reported in state‐of‐the‐art K‐ion full batteries, accompanying with a capacity retention of ≈81.3% over 270 cycles. This result on Na‐/K‐ion batteries may pave the way to next‐generation post‐lithium batteries.  相似文献

2D β‐Ga2O3 nanosheets, as fundamental materials, have great potential in next generations of ultraviolet transparent electrodes, high‐temperature gas sensors, solar‐blind photodetectors, and power devices, while their synthesis and growth with high crystalline quality and well‐controlled orientation have not been reported yet. The present study demonstrates how to grow single‐crystalline ultrathin quasi‐hexagonal β‐Ga2O3 nanosheets with nanowire seeds and proposes a hierarchy‐oriented growth mechanism. The hierarchy‐oriented growth is initiated by epitaxial growth of a single‐crystalline ( 2 ? 01 ) β‐Ga2O3 nanowire on a GaN nanocrystal and followed by homoepitaxial growth of quasi‐hexagonal (010) β‐Ga2O3 nanosheets. The undoped 2D (010) β‐Ga2O3 nanosheet field effect transistor has a field‐effect electron mobility of 38 cm2 V?1 s?1 and an on/off current ratio of 107 with an average subthreshold swing of 150 mV dec?1. The from‐nanowires‐to‐nanosheets technique paves a novel way to fabricate nanosheets, which has great impact on the field of nanomaterial synthesis and growth and the area of nanoelectronics as well.  相似文献

Fiber‐shaped supercapacitors (FSCs) are promising energy storage solutions for powering miniaturized or wearable electronics. However, the scalable fabrication of fiber electrodes with high electrical conductivity and excellent energy storage performance for use in FSCs remains a challenge. Here, an easily scalable one‐step wet‐spinning approach is reported to fabricate highly conductive fibers using hybrid formulations of Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets and poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):polystyrene sulfonate. This approach produces fibers with a record conductivity of ≈1489 S cm?1, which is about five times higher than other reported Ti3C2Tx MXene‐based fibers (up to ≈290 S cm?1). The hybrid fiber at ≈70 wt% MXene shows a high volumetric capacitance (≈614.5 F cm?3 at 5 mV s?1) and an excellent rate performance (≈375.2 F cm?3 at 1000 mV s?1). When assembled into a free‐standing FSC, the energy and power densities of the device reach ≈7.13 Wh cm?3 and ≈8249 mW cm?3, respectively. The excellent strength and flexibility of the hybrid fibers allow them to be wrapped on a silicone elastomer fiber to achieve an elastic FSC with 96% capacitance retention when cyclically stretched to 100% strain. This work demonstrates the potential of MXene‐based fiber electrodes and their scalable production for fiber‐based energy storage applications.  相似文献

Large size of capacitors is the main hurdle in miniaturization of current electronic devices. Herein, a scalable solution‐based layer‐by‐layer engineering of metallic and high‐κ dielectric nanosheets into multilayer nanosheet capacitors (MNCs) with overall thickness of ≈20 nm is presented. The MNCs are built through neat tiling of 2D metallic Ru0.95O20.2? and high‐κ dielectric Ca2NaNb4O13? nanosheets via the Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) approach at room temperature which is verified by cross‐sectional high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The resultant MNCs demonstrate a high capacitance of 40–52 µF cm?2 and low leakage currents down to 10?5–10?6 A cm?2. Such MNCs also possess complimentary in situ robust dielectric properties under high‐temperature measurements up to 250 °C. Based on capacitance normalized by the thickness, the developed MNC outperforms state‐of‐the‐art multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC, ≈22 µF cm?2/5 × 104 nm) present in the market. The strategy is effective due to the advantages of facile, economical, and ambient temperature solution assembly.  相似文献

Lithium‐ion capacitors (LICs) are promising electrical energy storage systems for mid‐to‐large‐scale applications due to the high energy and large power output without sacrificing long cycle stability. However, due to the different energy storage mechanisms between anode and cathode, the energy densities of LICs often degrade noticeably at high power density, because of the sluggish kinetics limitation at the battery‐type anode side. Herein, a high‐performance LIC by well‐defined ZnMn2O4‐graphene hybrid nanosheets anode and N‐doped carbon nanosheets cathode is presented. The 2D nanomaterials offer high specific surface areas in favor of a fast ion transport and storage with shortened ion diffusion length, enabling fast charge and discharge. The fabricated LIC delivers a high specific energy of 202.8 Wh kg?1 at specific power of 180 W kg?1, and the specific energy remains 98 Wh kg?1 even when the specific power achieves as high as 21 kW kg?1.  相似文献

A facile methodology for the large‐scale production of layer‐controlled MoS2 layers on an inexpensive substrate involving a simple coating of single source precursor with subsequent roll‐to‐roll‐based thermal decomposition is developed. The resulting 50 cm long MoS2 layers synthesized on Ni foils possess excellent long‐range uniformity and optimum stoichiometry. Moreover, this methodology is promising because it enables simple control of the number of MoS2 layers by simply adjusting the concentration of (NH4)2MoS4. Additionally, the capability of the MoS2 for practical applications in electronic/optoelectronic devices and catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction is verified. The MoS2‐based field effect transistors exhibit unipolar n‐channel transistor behavior with electron mobility of 0.6 cm2 V?1 s?1 and an on‐off ratio of ≈10³. The MoS2‐based visible‐light photodetectors are fabricated in order to evaluate their photoelectrical properties, obtaining an 100% yield for active devices with significant photocurrents and extracted photoresponsivity of ≈22 mA W?1. Moreover, the MoS2 layers on Ni foils exhibit applicable catalytic activity with observed overpotential of ≈165 mV and a Tafel slope of 133 mV dec?1. Based on these results, it is envisaged that the cost‐effective methodology will trigger actual industrial applications, as well as novel research related to 2D semiconductor‐based multifaceted applications.  相似文献

An ethanol solvothermal route has been developed to prepare ultrathin anatase TiO2 nanosheets with dominant {001} facets (≈97%), a thickness of ≈2.5 nm, and a side length of ≈200 nm. The introduction of ethanol solvent significantly enhances the content of surface chemisorbed F? on the TiO2 nanosheet, which has a higher stability and further lowers the surface energy of {001} facets, giving rise to the large percentage of active {001} facets. Adopting well‐defined morphology, such nanosheets loaded with 1 wt% Pt exhibit an H2 evolution rate as high as 17.86 mmol h?1 g?1, and the corresponding apparent quantum efficiency has been determined to be 34.2%.  相似文献

1T phase MoS2 possesses higher conductivity than the 2H phase, which is a key parameter of electrochemical performance for lithium ion batteries (LIBs). Herein, a 1T‐MoS2/C hybrid is successfully synthesized through facile hydrothermal method with a proper glucose additive. The synthesized hybrid material is composed of smaller and fewer‐layer 1T‐MoS2 nanosheets covered by thin carbon layers with an enlarged interlayer spacing of 0.94 nm. When it is used as an anode material for LIBs, the enlarged interlayer spacing facilitates rapid intercalating and deintercalating of lithium ions and accommodates volume change during cycling. The high intrinsic conductivity of 1T‐MoS2 also contributes to a faster transfer of lithium ions and electrons. Moreover, much smaller and fewer‐layer nanosheets can shorten the diffusion path of lithium ions and accelerate reaction kinetics, leading to an improved electrochemical performance. It delivers a high initial capacity of 920.6 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1 and the capacity can maintain 870 mAh g?1 even after 300 cycles, showing a superior cycling stability. The electrode presents a high rate performance as well with a reversible capacity of 600 mAh g?1 at 10 A g?1. These results show that the 1T‐MoS2/C hybrid shows potential for use in high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

Compared with 2D S‐based and Se‐based transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), Te‐based TMDs display much better electrical conductivities, which will be beneficial to enhance the capacitances in supercapacitors. However, to date, the reports about the applications of Te‐based TMDs in supercapacitors are quite rare. Herein, the first supercapacitor example of the Te‐based TMD is reported: the type‐II Weyl semimetal 1Td WTe2. It is demonstrated that single crystals of 1Td WTe2 can be exfoliated into the nanosheets with 2–7 layers by liquid‐phase exfoliation, which are assembled into air‐stable films and further all‐solid‐state flexible supercapacitors. The resulting supercapacitors deliver a mass capacitance of 221 F g?1 and a stack capacitance of 74 F cm?3. Furthermore, they also show excellent volumetric energy and power densities of 0.01 Wh cm?3 and 83.6 W cm?3, respectively, superior to the commercial 4V/500 µAh Li thin‐film battery and the commercial 3V/300 µAh Al electrolytic capacitor, in association with outstanding mechanical flexibility and superior cycling stability (capacitance retention of ≈91% after 5500 cycles). These results indicate that the 1Td WTe2 nanosheet is a promising flexible electrode material for high‐performance energy storage devices.  相似文献

MoSe2 is a promising earth‐abundant electrocatalyst for the hydrogen‐evolution reaction (HER), even though it has received much less attention among the layered dichalcogenide (MX2) materials than MoS2 so far. Here, a novel hydrothermal‐synthesis strategy is presented to achieve simultaneous and synergistic modulation of crystal phase and disorder in partially crystallized 1T‐MoSe2 nanosheets to dramatically enhance their HER catalytic activity. Careful structural characterization and defect characterization using positron annihilation lifetime spectroscopy correlated with electrochemical measurements show that the formation of the 1T phase under a large excess of the NaBH4 reductant during synthesis can effectively improve the intrinsic activity and conductivity, and the disordered structure from a lower reaction temperature can provide abundant unsaturated defects as active sites. Such synergistic effects lead to superior HER catalytic activity with an overpotential of 152 mV versus reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) for the electrocatalytic current density of j = ?10 mA cm?2, and a Tafel slope of 52 mV dec?1. This work paves a new pathway for improving the catalytic activity of MoSe2 and generally MX2‐based electrocatalysts via a synergistic modulation strategy.  相似文献

2D ternary systems provide another degree of freedom of tuning physical properties through stoichiometry variation. However, the controllable growth of 2D ternary materials remains a huge challenge that hinders their practical applications. Here, for the first time, by using a gallium/indium liquid alloy as the precursor, the synthesis of high‐quality 2D ternary Ga2In4S9 flakes of only a few atomic layers thick (≈2.4 nm for the thinnest samples) through chemical vapor deposition is realized. Their UV‐light‐sensing applications are explored systematically. Photodetectors based on the Ga2In4S9 flakes display outstanding UV detection ability (R λ = 111.9 A W?1, external quantum efficiency = 3.85 × 104%, and D* = 2.25 × 1011 Jones@360 nm) with a fast response speed (τring ≈ 40 ms and τdecay ≈ 50 ms). In addition, Ga2In4S9‐based phototransistors exhibit a responsivity of ≈104 A W?1@360 nm above the critical back‐gate bias of ≈0 V. The use of the liquid alloy for synthesizing ultrathin 2D Ga2In4S9 nanostructures may offer great opportunities for designing novel 2D optoelectronic materials to achieve optimal device performance.  相似文献

Recently, due to the possibility of thinning down to the atomic thickness to achieve exotic properties, layered materials have attracted extensive research attention. In particular, PbI2, a kind of layered material, and its perovskite derivatives, CH3NH3PbI3 (i.e., MAPbI3), have demonstrated impressive photoresponsivities for efficient photodetection. Herein, the synthesis of large‐scale, high‐density, and freestanding PbI2 nanosheets is demonstrated by manipulating the microenvironment during physical vapor deposition. In contrast to conventional two‐dimensional (2D) growth along the substrate surface, the essence here is the effective nucleation of microplanes with different angles relative to the in‐plane direction of underlying rough‐surfaced substrates. When configured into photodetectors, the fabricated device exhibits a photoresponsivity of 410 mA W?1, a detectivity of 3.1 × 1011 Jones, and a fast response with the rise and decay time constants of 86 and 150 ms, respectively, under a wavelength of 405 nm. These PbI2 nanosheets can also be completely converted into MAPbI3 materials via chemical vapor deposition with an improved photoresponsivity up to 40 A W?1. All these performance parameters are comparable to those of state‐of‐the‐art layered‐material‐based photodetectors, revealing the technological potency of these freestanding nanosheets for next‐generation high‐performance optoelectronics.  相似文献

Flexible power sources have shown great promise in next‐generation bendable, implantable, and wearable electronic systems. Here, flexible and binder‐free electrodes of Na3V2(PO4)3/reduced graphene oxide (NVP/rGO) and Sb/rGO nanocomposites for sodium‐ion batteries are reported. The Sb/rGO and NVP/rGO paper electrodes with high flexibility and tailorability can be easily fabricated. Sb and NVP nanoparticles are embedded homogenously in the interconnected framework of rGO nanosheets, which provides structurally stable hosts for Na‐ion intercalation and deintercalation. The NVP/rGO paper‐like cathode delivers a reversible capacity of 113 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1 and high capacity retention of ≈96.6% after 120 cycles. The Sb/rGO paper‐like anode gives a highly reversible capacity of 612 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1, an excellent rate capacity up to 30 C, and a good cycle performance. Moreover, the sodium‐ion full cell of NVP/rGO//Sb/rGO has been fabricated, delivering a highly reversible capacity of ≈400 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 after 100 charge/discharge cycles. This work may provide promising electrode candidates for developing next‐generation energy‐storage devices with high capacity and long cycle life.  相似文献

Molecular surfactants are widely used to control low‐dimensional morphologies, including 2D nanomaterials in colloidal chemical synthesis, but it is still highly challenging to accurately control single‐layer growth for 2D materials. A scalable stacking‐hinderable strategy to not only enable exclusive single‐layer growth mode for transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) selectively sandwiched by surfactant molecules but also retain sandwiched single‐layer TMDs' photoredox activities is developed. The single‐layer growth mechanism is well explained by theoretical calculation. Three types of single‐layer TMDs, including MoS2, WS2, and ReS2, are successfully synthesized and demonstrated in solar H2 fuel production from hydrogen‐stored liquid carrier—methanol. Such H2 fuel production from single‐layer MoS2 nanosheets is COx‐free and reliably workable under room temperature and normal pressure with the generation rate reaching ≈617 µmole g?1 h?1 and excellent photoredox endurability. This strategy opens up the feasible avenue to develop methanol‐storable solar H2 fuel with facile chemical rebonding actualized by 2D single‐layer photocatalysts.  相似文献

2D layers of metal dichalcogenides are of considerable interest for high‐performance electronic devices for their unique electronic properties and atomically thin geometry. 2D SnS2 nanosheets with a bandgap of ≈2.6 eV have been attracting intensive attention as one potential candidate for modern electrocatalysis, electronic, and/or optoelectronic fields. However, the controllable growth of large‐size and high‐quality SnS2 atomic layers still remains a challenge. Herein, a salt‐assisted chemical vapor deposition method is provided to synthesize atomic‐layer SnS2 with a large crystal size up to 410 µm and good uniformity. Particularly, the as‐fabricated SnS2 nanosheet‐based field‐effect transistors (FETs) show high mobility (2.58 cm2 V?1 s?1) and high on/off ratio (≈108), which is superior to other reported SnS2‐based FETs. Additionally, the effects of temperature on the electrical properties are systematically investigated. It is shown that the scattering mechanism transforms from charged impurities scattering to electron–phonon scattering with the temperature. Moreover, SnS2 can serve as an ideal material for energy storage and catalyst support. The high performance together with controllable growth of SnS2 endow it with great potential for future applications in electrocatalysis, electronics, and optoelectronics.  相似文献
