Micrometer‐sized electrochemical capacitors have recently attracted attention due to their possible applications in micro‐electronic devices. Here, a new approach to large‐scale fabrication of high‐capacitance, two‐dimensional MoS2 film‐based micro‐supercapacitors is demonstrated via simple and low‐cost spray painting of MoS2 nanosheets on Si/SiO2 chip and subsequent laser patterning. The obtained micro‐supercapacitors are well defined by ten interdigitated electrodes (five electrodes per polarity) with 4.5 mm length, 820 μm wide for each electrode, 200 μm spacing between two electrodes and the thickness of electrode is ~0.45 μm. The optimum MoS2‐based micro‐supercapacitor exhibits excellent electrochemical performance for energy storage with aqueous electrolytes, with a high area capacitance of 8 mF cm?2 (volumetric capacitance of 178 F cm?3) and excellent cyclic performance, superior to reported graphene‐based micro‐supercapacitors. This strategy could provide a good opportunity to develop various micro‐/nanosized energy storage devices to satisfy the requirements of portable, flexible, and transparent micro‐electronic devices.  相似文献

The rapid development of lightweight and wearable devices requires electronic circuits possessing compact, high‐efficiency, and long lifetime in very limited space. Alternating current (AC) line filters are usually tools for manipulating the surplus AC ripples for the operation of most common electronic devices. So far, only aluminum electrolytic capacitors (AECs) can be utilized for this target. However, the bulky volume in the electronic circuits and limited capacitances have long hindered the development of miniaturized and flexible electronics. In this work, a facile laser‐assisted fabrication approach toward an in‐plane micro‐supercapacitor for AC line filtering based on graphene and conventional charge transfer salt heterostructure is reported. Specifically, the devices reach a phase angle of 73.2° at 120 Hz, a specific capacitance of 151 µF cm?2, and relaxation time constant of 0.32 ms at the characteristic frequency of 3056 Hz. Furthermore, the scan rate can reach up to 1000 V s?1. Moreover, the flexibility and stability of the micro‐supercapacitors are tested in gel electrolyte H2SO4/PVA, and the capacitance of micro‐supercapacitors retain a stability over 98% after 10 000 cycles. Thus, such micro‐supercapacitors with excellent electrochemical performance can be almost compared with the AECs and will be the next‐generation capacitors for AC line filters.  相似文献

Printable supercapacitors are regarded as a promising class of microscale power source, but are facing challenges derived from conventional sandwich‐like geometry. Herein, the printable fabrication of new‐type planar graphene‐based linear tandem micro‐supercapacitors (LTMSs) on diverse substrates with symmetric and asymmetric configuration, high‐voltage output, tailored capacitance, and outstanding flexibility is demonstrated. The resulting graphene‐based LTMSs consisting of 10 micro‐supercapacitors (MSs) present efficient high‐voltage output of 8.0 V, suggestive of superior uniformity of the entire integrated device. Meanwhile, LTMSs possess remarkable flexibility without obvious capacitance degradation under different bending states. Moreover, areal capacitance of LTMSs can be sufficiently modulated by incorporating polyaniline‐based pseudocapacitive nanosheets into graphene electrodes, showing enhanced capacitance of 7.6 mF cm?2. To further improve the voltage output and energy density, asymmetric LTMSs are fabricated through controlled printing of linear‐patterned graphene as negative electrodes and MnO2 nanosheets as positive electrodes. Notably, the asymmetric LTMSs from three serially connected MSs are easily extended to 5.4 V, triple voltage output of the single cell (1.8 V), suggestive of the versatile applicability of this technique. Therefore, this work offers numerous opportunities of graphene and analogous nanosheets for one‐step scalable fabrication of flexible tandem energy storage devices integrating with printed electronics on same substrate.  相似文献

The rapid development of integrated electronics and the boom in miniaturized and portable devices have increased the demand for miniaturized and on‐chip energy storage units. Currently thin‐film batteries or microsized batteries are commercially available for miniaturized devices. However, they still suffer from several limitations, such as short lifetime, low power density, and complex architecture, which limit their integration. Supercapacitors can surmount all these limitations. Particularly for micro‐supercapacitors with planar architectures, due to their unique design of the in‐plane electrode finger arrays, they possess the merits of easy fabrication and integration into on‐chip miniaturized electronics. Here, the focus is on the different strategies to design electrode finger arrays and the material engineering of in‐plane micro‐supercapacitors. It is expected that the advances in micro‐supercapacitors with in‐plane architectures will offer new opportunities for the miniaturization and integration of energy‐storage units for portable devices and on‐chip electronics.  相似文献

The rise of micro‐supercapacitors is satisfying the demand for power storage in portable devices and wireless gadgets. But the miniaturization of the energy‐storage components is significantly limited by their energy density. Electrode materials with adequate electrochemical active surfaces are therefore required for improving performance. 2D materials with ultralarge specific surface areas offer a broad portfolio of the development of high‐performance micro‐supercapacitors in spite of their several critical drawbacks. An architecture engineering strategy is therefore developed to break these natural limits and maximize the significant advantages of these materials. Based on the approaches of phase transformation, intercalation, surface modification, material hybridization, and hierarchical structuration, 2D architectures with improved conductivity, enlarged specific surface, enhanced redox activity, as well as the unique synergetic effect exhibit great promise in the application of miniaturized supercapacitors with highly enhanced performance. Herein, the architecture engineering of emerging 2D materials beyond graphene toward optimizing the performance of micro‐supercapacitors is discussed, in order to promote the application of 2D architectures in miniaturized energy‐storage devices.  相似文献

Fiber supercapacitors (FSCs) are promising energy storage devices in portable and wearable smart electronics. Currently, a major challenge for FSCs is simultaneously achieving high volumetric energy and power densities. Herein, the microscale fiber electrode is designed by using carbon fibers as substrates and capillary channels as microreactors to space‐confined hydrothermal assembling. As P‐doped graphene oxide/carbon fiber (PGO/CF) and NiCo2O4‐based graphene oxide/carbon fiber (NCGO/CF) electrodes are successfully prepared, their unique hybrid structures exhibit a satisfactory electrochemical performance. An all‐solid‐state PGO/CF//NCGO/CF flexible asymmetric fiber supercapacitor (AFSC) based on the PGO/CF as the negative electrode, NCGO/CF hybrid electrode as the positive electrode, and poly(vinyl alcohol)/potassium hydroxide as the electrolyte is successfully assembled. The AFSC device delivers a higher volumetric energy density of 36.77 mW h cm?3 at a power density of 142.5 mW cm?3. In addition, a double reference electrode system is adopted to analyze and reduce the IR drop, as well as effectively matching negative and positive electrodes, which is conducive for the optimization and improvement of energy density. For the AFSC device, its better flexibility and electrochemical properties create a promising potential for high‐performance micro‐supercapacitors. Furthermore, the introduction of the double reference electrode system provides an interesting method for the study on the electrochemical performances of two‐electrode systems.  相似文献

Cost‐effective synthesis of carbon nanospheres with a desirable mesoporous network for diversified energy storage applications remains a challenge. Herein, a direct templating strategy is developed to fabricate monodispersed N‐doped mesoporous carbon nanospheres (NMCSs) with an average particle size of 100 nm, a pore diameter of 4 nm, and a specific area of 1093 m2 g?1. Hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide and tetraethyl orthosilicate not only play key roles in the evolution of mesopores but also guide the assembly of phenolic resins to generate carbon nanospheres. Benefiting from the high surface area and optimum mesopore structure, NMCSs deliver a large specific capacitance up to 433 F g?1 in 1 m H2SO4. The NMCS electrodes–based symmetric sandwich supercapacitor has an output voltage of 1.4 V in polyvinyl alcohol/H2SO4 gel electrolyte and delivers an energy density of 10.9 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 14014.5 W kg?1. Notably, NMCSs can be directly applied through the mask‐assisted casting technique by a doctor blade to fabricate micro‐supercapacitors. The micro‐supercapacitors exhibit excellent mechanical flexibility, long‐term stability, and reliable power output.  相似文献

Planar micro‐supercapacitors are attractive for system on chip technologies and surface mount devices due to their large areal capacitance and energy/power density compared to the traditional oxide‐based capacitors. In the present work, a novel material, niobium nanowires, in form of vertically aligned electrodes for application in high performance planar micro‐supercapacitors is introduced. Specific capacitance of up to 1 kF m?2 (100 mF cm?2) with peak energy and power density of 2 kJ m?2 (6.2 MJ m?3 or 1.7 mWh cm?3) and 150 kW m?2 (480 MW m?3 or 480 W cm?3), respectively, is achieved. This remarkable power density, originating from the extremely low equivalent series resistance value of 0.27 Ω (2.49 µΩ m2 or 24.9 mΩ cm2) and large specific capacitance, is among the highest for planar micro‐supercapacitors electrodes made of nanomaterials.  相似文献

Compactness and versatility of fiber‐based micro‐supercapacitors (FMSCs) make them promising for emerging wearable electronic devices as energy storage solutions. But, increasing the energy storage capacity of microscale fiber electrodes, while retaining their high power density, remains a significant challenge. Here, this issue is addressed by incorporating ultrahigh mass loading of ruthenium oxide (RuO2) nanoparticles (up to 42.5 wt%) uniformly on nanocarbon‐based microfibers composed largely of holey reduced graphene oxide (HrGO) with a lower amount of single‐walled carbon nanotubes as nanospacers. This facile approach involes (1) space‐confined hydrothermal assembly of highly porous but 3D interconnected carbon structure, (2) impregnating wet carbon structures with aqueous Ru3+ ions, and (3) anchoring RuO2 nanoparticles on HrGO surfaces. Solid‐state FMSCs assembled using those fibers demonstrate a specific volumetric capacitance of 199 F cm?3 at 2 mV s?1. Fabricated FMSCs also deliver an ultrahigh energy density of 27.3 mWh cm?3, the highest among those reported for FMSCs to date. Furthermore, integrating 20 pieces of FMSCs with two commercial flexible solar cells as a self‐powering energy system, a light‐emitting diode panel can be lit up stably. The current work highlights the excellent potential of nano‐RuO2‐decorated HrGO composite fibers for constructing micro‐supercapacitors with high energy density for wearable electronic devices.  相似文献

Flexible supercapacitors have shown enormous potential for portable electronic devices. Herein, hierarchical 3D all‐carbon electrode materials are prepared by assembling N‐doped graphene quantum dots (N‐GQDs) on carbonized MOF materials (cZIF‐8) interweaved with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) for flexible all‐solid‐state supercapacitors. In this ternary electrode, cZIF‐8 provides a large accessible surface area, CNTs act as the electrical conductive network, and N‐GQDs serve as highly pseudocapactive materials. Due to the synergistic effect and hierarchical assembly of these components, N‐GQD@cZIF‐8/CNT electrodes exhibit a high specific capacitance of 540 F g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 in a 1 m H2SO4 electrolyte and excellent cycle stability with 90.9% capacity retention over 8000 cycles. The assembled supercapacitor possesses an energy density of 18.75 Wh kg?1 with a power density of 108.7 W kg?1. Meanwhile, three supercapacitors connected in series can power light‐emitting diodes for 20 min. All‐solid‐state N‐GQD@cZIF‐8/CNT flexible supercapacitor exhibits an energy density of 14 Wh kg?1 with a power density of 89.3 W kg?1, while the capacitance retention after 5000 cycles reaches 82%. This work provides an effective way to construct novel electrode materials with high energy storage density as well as good cycling performance and power density for high‐performance energy storage devices via the rational design.  相似文献

The micro‐supercapacitors are of great value for portable, flexible, and integrated electronic equipments. Here, the large‐scale and integrated asymmetrical micro‐supercapacitor (AMSC) array is fabricated in virtue of the laser direct writing and electrodeposition technology. The AMSC shows the ideal flexibility, high areal specific capacitance (21.8 mF cm?2), and good rate capability. Moreover, its energy density reaches 12.16 µW h cm?2, outperforming most micro‐supercapacitors reported previously. Meanwhile, large‐scale series‐connected AMSCs are integrated on the flexible substrates (e.g., indium tin oxide‐polyethylene terephthalate film), which can power a veriety of the commercial electronics. The combination of AMSCs array, solar cell, and electronic device proves the feasibility for practical application in the portable, flexible, and integrated electronic equipments.  相似文献

The emergence of flexible and wearable electronics has raised the demand for flexible supercapacitors with accurate sizes and aesthetic shapes. Here, a strategy is developed to prepare flexible all‐in‐one integrated supercapacitors by combining all‐freeze‐casting with typography technique. The continuous seamless connection of all‐in‐one supercapacitor devices enhances the load and/or electron transfer capacity and avoids displacing and detaching between their neighboring components at bending status. Therefore, such a unique structure of all‐in‐one integrated devices is beneficial for retaining stable electrochemical performance at different bending levels. More importantly, the sizes and aesthetic shapes of integrated supercapacitors could be controlled by the designed molds, like type matrices of typography. The molds could be assembled together and typeset randomly, achieving the controllable construction and series and/or parallel connection of several supercapacitor devices. The preparation of flexible integrated supercapacitors will pave the way for assembling programmable all‐in‐one energy storage devices into highly flexible electronics.  相似文献

Planar supercapacitors with high flexibility, desirable operation safety, and high performance are considered as attractive candidates to serve as energy‐storage devices for portable and wearable electronics. Here, a scalable and printable technique is adopted to construct novel and unique hierarchical nanocoral structures as the interdigitated electrodes on flexible substrates. The as‐fabricated flexible all‐solid‐state planar supercapacitors with nanocoral structures achieve areal capacitance up to 52.9 mF cm?2, which is 2.5 times that of devices without nanocoral structures, and this figure‐of‐merit is among the highest in the literature for the same category of devices. More interestingly, due to utilization of the inkjet‐printing technique, excellent versatility on electrode‐pattern artistic design is achieved. Particularly, working supercapacitors with artistically designed patterns are demonstrated. Meanwhile, the high scalability of such a printable method is also demonstrated by fabrication of large‐sized artistic supercapacitors serving as energy‐storage devices in a wearable self‐powered system as a proof of concept.  相似文献

Hybrid metal‐ion capacitors (MICs) (M stands for Li or Na) are designed to deliver high energy density, rapid energy delivery, and long lifespan. The devices are composed of a battery anode and a supercapacitor cathode, and thus become a tradeoff between batteries and supercapacitors. In the past two decades, tremendous efforts have been put into the search for suitable electrode materials to overcome the kinetic imbalance between the battery‐type anode and the capacitor‐type cathode. Recently, some transition‐metal compounds have been found to show pseudocapacitive characteristics in a nonaqueous electrolyte, which makes them interesting high‐rate candidates for hybrid MIC anodes. Here, the material design strategies in Li‐ion and Na‐ion capacitors are summarized, with a focus on pseudocapacitive oxide anodes (Nb2O5, MoO3, etc.), which provide a new opportunity to obtain a higher power density of the hybrid devices. The application of Mxene as an anode material of MICs is also discussed. A perspective to the future research of MICs toward practical applications is proposed to close.  相似文献

Graphene fiber based micro‐supercapacitors (GF micro‐SCs) have attracted great attention for their potential applications in portable and wearable electronics. However, due to strong π–π stacking of nanosheets for graphene fibers, the limited ion accessible surface area and slow ion diffusion rate leads to low specific capacitance and poor rate performance. Here, the authors report a strategy for the synthesis of a vertically oriented graphene nanoribbon fiber with highly exposed surface area through confined‐hydrothermal treatment of interconnected graphene oxide nanoribbons and consequent laser irradiation process. As a result, the as‐obtained fiber shows high length specific capacitance of 3.2 mF cm?1 and volumetric capacitance of 234.8 F cm?3 at 2 mV s?1, as well as excellent rate capability and outstanding cycling performance (96% capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles). Moreover, an all‐solid‐state asymmetric supercapacitor based on graphene nanoribbon fiber as negative electrode and MnO2 coated graphene ribbon fiber as positive electrode, shows high volumetric capacitance and energy density of 12.8 F cm?3 and 5.7 mWh cm?3 (normalized to the device volume), respectively, much higher than those of previously reported GF micro‐SCs, as well as a long cycle life with 88% of capacitance retention after 10 000 cycles.  相似文献

Wearable and portable devices with desirable flexibility, operational safety, and long cruising time, are in urgent demand for applications in wireless communications, multifunctional entertainments, personal healthcare monitoring, etc. Herein, a monolithically integrated self‐powered smart sensor system with printed interconnects, printed gas sensor for ethanol and acetone detection, and printable supercapacitors and embedded solar cells as energy sources, is successfully demonstrated in a wearable wristband fashion by utilizing inkjet printing as a proof‐of‐concept. In such a “wearable wristband”, the harvested solar energy can either directly drive the sensor and power up a light‐emitting diode as a warning signal, or can be stored in the supercapacitors in a standby mode, and the energy released from supercapacitors can compensate the intermittency of light illumination. To the best of our knowledge, the demonstration of such a self‐powered sensor system integrated onto a single piece of flexible substrate in a printable and additive manner has not previously been reported. Particularly, the printable supercapacitors deliver an areal capacitance of 12.9 mF cm?2 and the printed SnO2 gas sensor shows remarkable detection sensitivity under room temperature. The printable strategies for device fabrication and system integration developed here show great potency for scalable and facile fabrication of a variety of wearable devices.  相似文献

On‐chip micro‐supercapacitors (MSCs), as promising power candidates for microdevices, typically exhibit high power density, large charge/discharge rates, and long cycling lifetimes. However, as for most reported MSCs, the unsatisfactory areal energy density (<10 µWh cm?2) still hinders their practical applications. Herein, a new‐type Zn‐ion hybrid MSC with ultrahigh areal energy density and long‐term durability is demonstrated. Benefiting from fast ion adsorption/desorption on the capacitor‐type activated‐carbon cathode and reversible Zn stripping/plating on the battery‐type electrodeposited Zn‐nanosheet anode, the fabricated Zn‐ion hybrid MSCs exhibit remarkable areal capacitance of 1297 mF cm?2 at 0.16 mA cm?2 (259.4 F g?1 at a current density of 0.05 A g?1), landmark areal energy density (115.4 µWh cm?2 at 0.16 mW cm?2), and a superb cycling stability without noticeable decay after 10 000 cycles. This work will inspire the fabrication and development of new high‐performance microenergy devices based on novel device design.  相似文献
