钢筋混凝土梁腐蚀疲劳的试验研究

本文进行了钢筋混凝土梁在空气环境、淡水环境和盐水环境中的疲劳试验,研究了反复荷载下三种环境中梁的变形发展过程和疲劳寿命。结果表明,在环境和反复荷载的共同作用下,钢筋混凝土梁的挠度-荷载循环次数曲线具有明显的三阶段特征,反映了梁中钢筋裂缝萌生、稳定扩展和不稳定扩展,但曲线的斜率不同,盐水中的最大,淡水中的次之,空气中的最小,说明盐水中的梁损伤最快,淡水中的中等,空气中的最慢。试验同时表明,盐水中梁的疲劳寿命最短,淡水中的中等,空气中的最长,这是不同环境中梁损伤速度不同的结果。本文还根据试验结果给出了三种环境下不同荷载循环次数时钢筋混凝土梁挠度的公式及S-N方程。

Linking the energy-only market and the energy-plus-capacity market

This article analyzes the implications of capacity markets and allocation mechanisms for cross-border trade and market welfare by applying an analytical model where two markets with different market designs, the energy-only market and the energy-plus-capacity market, are interconnected and operate under different transmission capacity allocation schemes. The findings suggest that having an energy-only market at one side of the border and an energy-plus-capacity market at the other side may impede cross-border trade and result in underusage or misusage of transmission in the case of an explicit allocation of transmission capacity. Implicit allocation or market coupling, in principle, would increase the efficiency of cross-border trade, but may result in distributional effects, involving for instance a free-riding effect.

Accommodating the Apocalypse: an examination of the relationships between the economics of salvation and the enclos architecture of the Breton enclos

The distancing from notions of the apocalypse will be examined through an investigation of the architectural ensemble of the Breton enclos, or parish close. The enclos is an arrangement of religious architecture found in towns and villages all over Brittany. It is an ensemble that developed over a period of about two hundred years, and although the formal attributes of an enclos vary, its constituent parts are constant. These parts were added gradually: what is suggested here is that each architectural addition marked a further attempt to accommodate the apocalyptic or malefic dimension of the divine, in order to allow the 'good' dimension of religion to be manipulated by society. Moving from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, the elusion of the 'fundamental question' (Bataille) - the question of the inter-relationship between individual and world - increased: the violence of the apocalypse was tempered and re-presented in a palatable form. Effectively, this violence was denied and covered over, both individually and communally, and the consequences of this shift in relationships can be observed in the enclos (as elsewhere). The economics of this situation (the economics of salvation) will be examined, along side the role of architecture, straddling both real and symbolic expenditures, which changed to suit the demands of a changing society.     

Effect of the volume of the drainage system on the measurement of undrained thermo-poro-elastic parameters

For evaluation of the undrained thermo-poro-elastic properties of saturated porous materials in conventional triaxial cells, it is important to take into account the effect of the dead volume of the drainage system. The compressibility and the thermal expansion of the drainage system, along with the dead volume of the fluid filling this system, influence the measured pore pressure and volumetric strain during an undrained thermal or mechanical loading in a triaxial cell. The correction methods previously presented by Wissa [Pore pressure measurement in saturated stiff soils. ASCE J Soil Mech Found Div 1969;95(SM 4):1063–73], Bishop [Influence of system compressibility on observed pore pressure response to an undrained change in stress in saturated rock. Geotechnique 1976;26(2):371–5] and Ghabezloo and Sulem [Stress dependent thermal pressurization of a fluid-saturated rock. Rock Mech Rock Eng 2009;42(1):1–24], only permit one to correct the measured pore pressures during an undrained isotropic compression test or an undrained heating test. An extension of these methods is presented in this paper to correct the measured volumetric strain, and consequently the measured undrained bulk compressibility and undrained thermal expansion coefficients, during these tests. Two examples of application of the proposed correction method are presented for an undrained isotropic compression test and an undrained heating test performed on a fluid-saturated granular rock. A parametric study has demonstrated that the porosity and the drained compressibility of the tested material, and the ratio of the volume of the drainage system to the one of the tested sample, are the key parameters that most influence the error induced by the drainage system.
