针对分布式MIMO系统中断概率和信道容量这2大性能指标,在复合衰落信道模型下,当上行链路采用最大比发送—选择合并,下行链路采用选择发送—最大比合并时,利用Lognormal分布对复杂Gamma-Lognormal分布的近似,推导得到当移动台位置给定时,系统中断概率和信道容量的闭合表达式,证明了系统性能指标与移动台分布之间存在密切的联系;随后依照实际通信环境,提出一种考虑存在小区热点的移动台非均匀分布模型,然后推导得到考虑该分布模型后的系统平均中断概率和平均信道容量闭合表达式;最后通过计算机仿真,证明了所提近似处理的精确性以及各项理论分析的合理性。 相似文献

In this paper, a novel approach to the problem of estimating the average channel capacity (in the Shannon sense) assigned to each user of a spread spectrum (SS) multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) system operating in a Rayleigh fading environment, is presented. The analysis leads to a closed‐form expression which fully conforms to the upper bound of the channel capacity value of a non‐fading AWGN channel when the transmitted signal bandwidth tends to infinity proving the validity of the described analysis. In this paper, we study the channel service process of a multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) system over an independent and identically distributed (i.i.d.) fading channel. One key problem of communication over fading MIMO channels is what kind of service the MIMO channel can provide. In this paper, this problem is investigated in terms of channel service process. Assuming that the channel state information is available at the receiver, the channel service process S(t) is defined as the integral of the instantaneous channel capacity over a time interval of length t, which specifies the service provided by the channel during the period. Using the characteristic function approach and the infinitely divisible law, it is proved that the channel service process S(t) is a deterministic linear function of time t, other than any curve form or a stochastic process. Specifically, , where is a constant equal to the corresponding ergodic capacity. This result has two implications: (i) i.i.d. fading MIMO channels can support a constant rate traffic stream of rate without higher layer transmission delay; (ii) the ergodic capacity is the actual transmission capacity of the fading channel, other than only a statistical average value. The generalized selection combining (GSC) scheme that adaptively combines a subset of M strongest paths out of L available diversity paths finds applications in several wideband receivers and broadband wireless communications. In this paper, exact closed‐form expressions for the moment generating function (MGF), the probability density function (PDF) and the cumulative density function (CDF) of the GSC(M, L) output signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) in independent and identically distributed (i.i.d) Nakagami‐m fading channels are derived while the fading index is a positive integer. These expressions hold for any M and L and provide a comprehensive framework for performance analysis including the derivation of closed‐form formulas for the average symbol error probability (ASEP) of a broad class of binary and M‐ary modulations, mean combined SNR and the outage probability of GSC(M, L) receiver structures. When the Nakagami‐m fading index is not an integer, the MGF of GSC(M, L) output SNR is derived as an (M − 1)‐fold infinite series. With this MGF, analytical expressions for both the outage probability and error rates can be readily obtained. An easily programmable recursive solution of the MGF of GSC(M, L) output SNR is also outlined for both the positive integer and noninteger fading severity index cases. This paper presents a performance analysis for evaluating multiuser and spatial diversities achieved in multiuser MIMO systems employing orthogonal space-time block coding (OSTBC) over Nakagami-m fading channels. Two multiuser scheduling schemes are considered, absolute SNR-based scheduling (AS) and normalized SNR-based scheduling (NS) schemes for both heterogeneous and homogeneous wireless networks. Analytical expressions are derived for the average channel capacity and average bit error rate (BER) of these systems. The considered scheduling schemes are numerically evaluated and compared in terms of average capacity, average BER and fairness. It is shown that in the heterogeneous case, unlike the AS scheme, the NS scheme can guarantee fairness to the users. It is also shown that in the heterogeneous case, the AS scheme yields a higher average capacity and a lower average BER compared to the NS scheme and to the homogeneous case. 相似文献

Cross‐layer design for MIMO systems over spatially correlated and keyhole Nakagami‐m fading channels
Cross‐layer design is a generic designation for a set of efficient adaptive transmission schemes, across multiple layers of the protocol stack, that are aimed at enhancing the spectral efficiency and increasing the transmission reliability of wireless communication systems. In this paper, one such cross‐layer design scheme that combines physical layer adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) with link layer truncated automatic repeat request (T‐ARQ) is proposed for multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) systems employing orthogonal space‐‐time block coding (OSTBC). The performance of the proposed cross‐layer design is evaluated in terms of achievable average spectral efficiency (ASE), average packet loss rate (PLR) and outage probability, for which analytical expressions are derived, considering transmission over two types of MIMO fading channels, namely, spatially correlated Nakagami‐m fading channels and keyhole Nakagami‐m fading channels. Furthermore, the effects of the maximum number of ARQ retransmissions, numbers of transmit and receive antennas, Nakagami fading parameter and spatial correlation parameters, are studied and discussed based on numerical results and comparisons. Multiple‐input multiple‐output (MIMO) transmission techniques constitute an important technology in modern wireless communication. Hence, performance analysis methods for such systems are of considerable interest. This paper considers first the average pairwise error probability for uncoded MIMO systems employing maximum likelihood detection over a composite Rayleigh‐Lognormal fading channel with spatial correlation. It provides general results, applicable also to a wider class of shadowing models, concerning asymptotical diversity gains and shows that they are not changed by such shadowing. Then, analytical evaluation techniques for bit‐error‐rate (BER) over composite Rayleigh‐Lognormal fading channels, based on the truncated union bound and the transfer function, are considered. Furthermore, these techniques are modified for applications over spatially correlated channels. This paper shows that such performance evaluation techniques provide good approximations to BER of spatially uncorrelated MIMO systems and also in the presence of moderate spatial correlation, over Rayleigh‐Lognormal fading channels. Novel closed-form upper bounds on the error performance of coded modulation systems over fast-fading multi-input multi-output (MIMO) channels are obtained for two different space-time schemes: direct transmission and orthogonal space-time block codes. The concept of the distance spectrum for associated space-time codes is developed and used to derive the bounds which can be calculated readily through polynomial expansion. Comparison of the bounds for the two systems indicates the performance of direct transmission is superior. Comparison with simulation results shows that the bounds are tight and useful for benchmarking the practical iterative decoding process. 相似文献

In this article, a cross-layer design (CLD) scheme for multiple-input and multiple-output system with the dual constraints of imperfect feedback and average packet error rate (PER) is presented, which is based on the combination of the adaptive modulation and the automatic repeat request protocols. The design performance is also evaluated over wireless Rayleigh fading channel. With the constraint of target PER and average PER, the optimum switching thresholds (STs) for attaining maximum spectral efficiency (SE) are developed. An effective iterative algorithm for finding the optimal STs is proposed via Lagrange multiplier optimisation. With different thresholds available, the analytical expressions of the average SE and PER are provided for the performance evaluation. To avoid the performance loss caused by the conventional single estimate, multiple outdated estimates (MOE) method, which utilises multiple previous channel estimation information, is presented for CLD to improve the system performance. It is shown that numerical simulations for average PER and SE are in consistent with the theoretical analysis and that the developed CLD with average PER constraint can meet the target PER requirement and show better performance in comparison with the conventional CLD with instantaneous PER constraint. Especially, the CLD based on the MOE method can obviously increase the system SE and reduce the impact of feedback delay greatly. 相似文献

The performance of antenna diversity coherent and differentially coherent linear multiuser receivers is analyzed in frequency-nonselective Rayleigh fading CDMA channels with memory. The estimates of the complex fading processes are utilized for maximal-ratio combining and carrier recovery of the coherent multiuser receiver. To analyze the impact of channel estimation errors on the receiver performance, error probability is assessed directly in terms of the fading rate and the number of active users, showing the penalty imposed by imperfect channel estimation as well as the fading-induced error probability floor. The impact of fading dynamics on the differentially coherent decorrelating receiver with equal-gain combining is quantified. While performance of multiuser receivers at lower SNR is determined by both the fading dynamics and the number of active CDMA users, performance at higher SNR is given by an error probability floor which is due to fading only and has the same value as in a single-user case. The comparison of the two receiver structures indicates that the coherent decorrelating receiver with diversity reception may be preferable to the differentially coherent one in nonselective fading CDMA channels with memory. 相似文献

In this paper, we derive closed form upper bounds on the error probability of low-density parity-check (LDPC) coded modulation schemes operating on quasi-static fading channels. The bounds are obtained from the so-called Fano- Gallager?s tight bounding techniques, and can be readily calculated when the distance spectrum of the code is available. In deriving the bounds for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, we assume the LDPC code is concatenated with the orthogonal space-time block code as an inner code. We obtain an equivalent single-input single-output (SISO) channel model for this concatenated coded-modulation system. The upper bounds derived here indicate good matches with simulation results of a complete transceiver system over Rayleigh and Rician MIMO fading channels in which the iterative detection and decoding algorithm is employed at the receiver. 相似文献

This paper analyzes the impact of receive fading correlation on the error performance of a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system that employs a zero-forcing detection scheme over frequency-nonselective Rayleigh fading channels. Error rate expressions as a function of the eigenvalues of the fading correlation matrix and the number of transmit and receive antennas are derived. In this paper we present tight approximations of the error performance for the entire signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) range of practical interest for an amplify and forward (AF) relaying system with channel state information (CSI) at the relay and destination, which employs multiple antennas at the nodes and orthogonal space–time block coding (OSTBC) transmission over a flat Rayleigh fading. Additionally, for a high value SNR range, we simplified the tight approximation expression in the simple asymptotic expression.
