Counterfeit electronic components have become a significant concern in the electronic parts supply chain. Original equipment manufacturers in particular are concerned about counterfeit components as there have been several recent reports of counterfeit parts entering the supply chain of the US military. This paper presents a case study of multilayer ceramic capacitors for use in a printed circuit assembly in an electronic system on a military aircraft. The capacitors failed during a high temperature screening test. Upon failure analysis it was revealed that the capacitors were not made to the correct specifications and were suspected to be counterfeit and not the authentic military grade capacitors manufactured by Kemet. Further investigation revealed that the suspect multilayered ceramic capacitors had entered into the electronics parts supply chain and were sold as authentic Kemet capacitors that met the higher military-specified requirements. The manufacturing and distribution of the counterfeit capacitors were traced to locations where, according to Kemet, its authentic capacitors are neither manufactured nor distributed.  相似文献

Counterfeit pharmaceutical products are a global threat to public health, and they undermine the credibility and the financial success of the producers of genuine products. The escalating circulation of counterfeit drugs demands new anticounterfeit measures that permit rapid screening, are nondestructive, and cannot be circumvented easily. Herein we describe a micro-X-ray diffraction (μ-XRD) protocol for this purpose capable of reading barcodes and logos fabricated on various substrates using soft-lithography stamping of compounds that can be read by X-ray diffraction but are invisible to the naked eye or optical microscopy. This method is demonstrated with barcodes and logos of compounds, approved by the Food and Drug Administration, printed on flat substrates as well as commercial aspirin and ibuprofen tablets. The μ-XRD protocol is nondestructive, automated, and user-friendly and can be used to certify the authenticity of drug tablets by mapping hidden patterns printed under the tablet coating and on packages.  相似文献

多年的运输包装实践说明,根据传统破损边界曲线(DBC)得到的产品脆值应用到缓冲包装设计时,常会产生保守性,导致过度包装及包装材料的浪费等。根据瞬态振动理论中冲击响应谱(SRS)的基本特性,采用Biot模型代表一个产品的结构系统模型,则该结构系统是由一系列单自由度(SDOF)质量-弹簧振子所组成,再获得其SRS。通过现代的实验装置及先进测头可以获得结构系统中易损元件的SRS。然后根据工程力学中动荷系数的概念,在上述易损元件SRS基础上,设定易损元件危险点处最大应力达到弹性极限时,SRS表示的最大响应加速度值即达到了临界值,在此基础上绘制新的DBC,据此可求得基于响应加速度的新脆值。此新脆值使用在缓冲包装设计时,将会避免上述传统脆值可能带来的保守性。  相似文献

目的 基于价值理论研究,以提高某军用包装袋价值的有效途径。方法 应用价值工程程序,首先对某军用包装袋的功能进行定量分析,然后计算出各零部件的成本及成本系数,再对零部件成本和功能匹配情况进行分析,找出价值系数不合适的零部件,最后对不合适的零部件提出建议,为该产品的改进提供方向。结果 运用价值功能理论分析发现,由于军用包装袋的可靠性要求,若提高功能其成本必然会提高,故仅能通过功能不变、降低成本的方法来提高价值。结论 通过对军用包装袋进行价值分析,可得出提高包装袋价值是降低成本的唯一途径,为军用包装的成本控制提供了新思路。  相似文献

Electron and electronic energy transfer processes are ways by which different molecules can signal their state from one (the Donor, D) to the other (the Acceptor, A). This transfer is often studied as an intermolecular process but it can also occur intramolecularly, that is between two bridged parts of a bichromophoric molecule.We show that the donor part of a bichromophore molecule can communicate its logic output as input to the acceptor part of the bichromophoric molecule. Such transfer is achieved through electronic energy transfer between the chromophores. We discuss a specific pair, the rhodamine 6G-azulene, for which there is considerable data, but the scheme is general enough to allow a wide choice of D–A pairs. We present preliminary results pertaining to a newly synthesized bichromophoric molecule based on this pair, in which a full adder is implemented, utilizing intramolecular electronic energy transfer between the two moieties.  相似文献

Over the past 40 years, a number of discoveries in quantum physics have completely transformed our vision of fundamental metrology. This revolution starts with the frequency stabilization of lasers using saturation spectroscopy and the redefinition of the metre by fixing the velocity of light c. Today, the trend is to redefine all SI base units from fundamental constants and we discuss strategies to achieve this goal. We first consider a kinematical frame, in which fundamental constants with a dimension, such as the speed of light c, the Planck constant h, the Boltzmann constant k(B) or the electron mass m(e) can be used to connect and redefine base units. The various interaction forces of nature are then introduced in a dynamical frame, where they are completely characterized by dimensionless coupling constants such as the fine structure constant alpha or its gravitational analogue alpha(G). This point is discussed by rewriting the Maxwell and Dirac equations with new force fields and these coupling constants. We describe and stress the importance of various quantum effects leading to the advent of this new quantum metrology. In the second part of the paper, we present the status of the seven base units and the prospects of their possible redefinitions from fundamental constants in an experimental perspective. The two parts can be read independently and they point to these same conclusions concerning the redefinitions of base units. The concept of rest mass is directly related to the Compton frequency of a body, which is precisely what is measured by the watt balance. The conversion factor between mass and frequency is the Planck constant, which could therefore be fixed in a realistic and consistent new definition of the kilogram based on its Compton frequency. We discuss also how the Boltzmann constant could be better determined and fixed to replace the present definition of the kelvin.  相似文献

In the last twenty years injection molding and blow molding have seen a rapid growth due to the development of new application areas in the automotive, sports and leisure, electronics, transportation and packaging industries. This success can be traced to the optimization of existing processes and to the development of new processing techniques employing novel concepts such as gas-assisted injection molding, co-injection, and 3D and sequential blow molding. The complexity of these new molding techniques calls for a much better understanding of the material behavior during the basic stages of the process and its relation to the properties and performance of the final part. These characteristics are directly dependent upon die and mold designs and on the operating conditions during extrusion, injection, inflation and cooling in the mold.In this paper we will demonstrate how the numerical simulation of the individual steps of the process can be used to optimize the process and product performance of industrial parts. In the case of injection molding, special interest will be devoted to the numerical prediction of the filling phase for both thin and thick parts. For blow molding the prediction of material behavior during clamping and inflation will be shown and related to final part thickness distribution, parison programming and preform design.  相似文献

We demonstrate the use of spatially offset Raman spectroscopy (SORS) in the identification of counterfeit pharmaceutical tablets and capsules through different types of packaging. The technique offers a substantially higher sensitivity than that available from conventional backscattering Raman spectroscopy. The approach is particularly beneficial in situations where the conventional Raman backscattering method is hampered or fails because of excessive surface Raman or fluorescence signals emanating from the packaging, capsule shell, or tablet coating contaminating the much weaker subsurface Raman signals of the active pharmaceutical ingredients and excipients held in the product. It is demonstrated that such interfering signals can be effectively suppressed by SORS.  相似文献
