Abstract

This study investigates the effect of operation parameters on the separation of nitric acid‐water mixture using air gap membrane distillation (AGMD). Porous hydrophobic PTFE membrane was used. The performance was evaluated based on the permeate flux and the nitric acid selectivity. Operating parameters such as feed solution temperature, feed concentration, flow rate, and air gap width were varied. Nitric acid selectivity was found to increase with the increase in feed solution temperature, feed concentration, flow rate, and air gap width. Permeate flux increased, when the feed temperature and the flow rate were increased. The effect of recirculation of the feed solution was also studied. With the recirculation mode, at different initial solution volumes, it was observed that the nitric acid concentration in the feed and the permeate, increased. The rate of flux decline was greater, when the initial feed solution volume was lower.  相似文献

In this work, experimental results for the concentration of dilute glycerol wastewater using membrane distillation (MD) with a microporous hydrophobic flat-sheet PTFE membrane are reported. Experiments were performed using the sweeping gas mode of the MD (SGMD) process. The effects of various operating variables, such as feed temperature, glycerol concentration in aqueous phase, feed flow rate and sweeping gas flow rate were studied. A Taguchi analysis has been performed on the experimental results which determined the effects and contribution of each of the factors on the distillate flux and the interactions between the operating variables. Results showed that the most influential factor was feed temperature. The second significant contribution was observed for the sweeping gas flow rate. Feed concentration had a negative effect on the distillate flux. At optimum conditions (i.e. 65 °C, 400 mL/min, 1 mass%, and 0.453 Nm3/h), the Taguchi model predicted the value of the response (the distillate flux) as 20.93 L/m2 h, which had good agreement with the experimental results.  相似文献

以硅烷改性ZSM-5分子筛为填充剂,采用沉浸凝胶相转化法制备了ZSM-5/BPPO非对称膜. 结果表明,分子筛在BPPO膜中分散均匀,填充分子筛后膜表面粗糙度增大、疏水性增强. 以低浓度乙醇-水体系为研究对象,考察了分子筛填充量、进料液浓度及进料液温度对ZSM-5/BPPO膜渗透汽化分离性能的影响. 结果表明,随乙醇浓度增大,ZSM-5/BPPO膜的分离因子减小,渗透通量增大;随进料液温度升高,ZSM-5/BPPO膜的分离因子及渗透通量均增大;在60℃、分子筛填充量为0.3%(w)时,ZSM-5/BPPO膜对5%(w)乙醇-水体系的分离因子高达18.49,渗透通量为529.69 g/(m2×h). ZSM-5/BPPO膜对不同醇-水体系的分离结果表明,醇类分子量越大,膜分离性能越好.  相似文献

Response surface methodology was used to optimize the performance of pervaporation of ethanol aqueous solution using polydimethylsiloxane hollow-fiber membrane. The effects of four operating conditions, that is, the feed temperature (30–50°C), the feed flow rate (10–50 L/h), ethanol concentration (5–20 wt%), and the vacuum pressure (10–50 KPa) on the membrane selectivity and the total flux of permeation were investigated with response surface methodology. The results showed that a quadratic model was suggested for both selectivity and total flux showing a high accuracy with R2 = 0.9999 and 0.9995, respectively. The developed models indicated a significant effect of the four studied factors on both selectivity and total flux with some significant interactions between these factors. The optimum selectivity was 15.56, achieved for a feed temperature of 30°C, feed flow rate of 10 L/h, ethanol concentration of 15 wt%, and a permeate pressure of 10.74 KPa whereas the optimum total flux was 1833.66 g/m2.h was observed for at a feed temperature of 50°C, a feed flow rate of 50 L/h, ethanol concentration of 15 wt%, and a permeate pressure of 49.38 KPa.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The pervaporation transport process of H2O-EtOH solution was studied on a chitosan membrane and on a H2SO4 crosslinked chitosan membrane. The influence of concentration, temperature, and crosslinking was also studied. The dependence of permeation fluxes on feed concentration showed strong coupling effects existed in the permeation process. That the thermodynamic swelling—distribution relationship changed with the feed concentration also showed that a strong coupling effect existed in the thermodynamic swelling process. The permeation fluxes and thermodynamic swelling processes showed analogous relationships versus the concentration in the feed. The high swelling ratio and the high selectivity of the membrane in the thermodynamic swelling distribution process was the basis ofhigh flux and high permselectivity of pervaporation. With an increase of temperature, the permeation fluxes increased quickly, but the swelling ratio of water and EtOH in the membrane scarcely changed. This showed that an increase of temperature promoted the diffusion process but had little influence on permselectivity. The permselectivity of pervaporation depended strongly on the thermodynamic swelling process.  相似文献

利用自制中空纤维气隙式多效膜蒸馏组件进行了多效膜蒸馏过程浓缩稀硫酸和磷酸溶液的研究, 考察了膜入口温度、料液进口浓度和料液流量对渗透通量和造水比的影响。结果表明,膜入口温度升高时渗透通量和造水比增加;料液流量增加,渗透通量增加,而造水比随之降低;料液酸浓度增加,渗透通量和造水比均随之下降,且硫酸的影响更为显著。实验过程中渗透通量和造水比最高可达5.3 L/(m2·h)和11.5。在适当的操作条件下,该过程可将质量分数(下同)为2%的稀硫酸或稀磷酸溶液浓缩至40%以上,且渗透液最大的电导率仍小于200 μS/cm。以10%的硫酸溶液为料液,利用2个不同的膜组件进行了持续30 d的多效膜蒸馏过程稳定性实验研究,实验期间所用膜组件操作性能没有明显下降,没有观察到膜渗漏现象。  相似文献

对气扫式膜蒸馏(SGMD)的热量和质量传递机理进行了研究,建立了该过程的热量和质量传递模型,并对模型进行了计算,得出了吹扫气流速、组件长度、进料流速和进料温度对膜通量的影响。通过实验对模型计算结果进行了验证。实验结果表明模型计算值与实验值非常接近。随吹扫气流速的增大,通量先增加然后趋近于平衡。组件长度越短通量越高。进料流速对通量的影响很小,随膜丝内Reynolds数的增加,通量稍有增加,随进料温度的升高,通量呈指数倍增加。  相似文献

采用纺丝-烧结技术制备了具有内表面致密皮层的外支撑式金属镍非对称中空纤维膜,并用于乙醇自热重整(EATR)制氢,研究了温度、进料流速、吹扫气流速、水醇比(S/C)以及氧醇比(O2/C)等操作条件对膜制氢性能的影响。结果表明,金属镍非对称中空纤维膜既具有优异的EATR催化活性,又有良好的透氢性能。在500~1000℃、S/C=4、O2/C=0.8的条件下乙醇可完全转化,H2产率和H2渗透通量可分别达到81.59%和13.99 mmol/(m2·s),增加进料中氧气含量可显著抑制膜表面积炭,但同时也会降低氢气产率和一氧化碳选择性。  相似文献

以浓海水为含溴原料液,NaOH溶液为吸收剂,考察了用聚丙烯(PP)、聚偏氟乙烯(PVDF)和聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)3种材料制作的微孔疏水中空纤维气态膜组件从浓海水中提溴的性能和使用寿命。实验结果表明PTFE中空纤维膜具有更高的传质系数和更强的耐溴氧化能力,更适合用于浓海水提溴。进而考察了各种操作条件对PTFE气态膜组件传质系数K和提溴率η的影响以及该组件的长期操作稳定性。实验结果表明:K随温度增加而增大,随料液中NaCl含量的增大而略有减小,料液流速和含溴量、吸收液的流速和吸收剂浓度对传质系数影响不大。PTFE膜组件在连续运行的3个月内表现了良好的操作稳定性,为PTFE中空纤维气态膜法提溴工艺的工业化应用提供了技术基础。  相似文献

利用制盐工业卤水作为含溴原料液、NaCOOH溶液为吸收液、HBr+NaBr溶液为提溴产物,分别与流经膜另一侧的纯水组成试验体系,考察了料液流量、浓度和操作温度对渗透通量的影响,回归得到了渗透系数计算式。并对NaCOOH溶液-卤水体系的渗透通量进行了计算和试验测定。计算与试验结果具有相同的趋势。对气态膜法提溴过程和渗透蒸馏过程的特点进行了分析,提出抑制渗透蒸馏现象发生的措施。  相似文献

采用减压膜蒸馏技术在较低真空度下浓缩Na2SO4水溶液,研究了真空度、料液温度、料液流速以及料液浓度对膜通量与截留率的影响。结果表明,随着膜下游真空度增加,膜通量增大;料液温度显著影响膜通量;随着料液浓度增加,膜通量严重衰减;实验条件下聚丙烯中空纤维膜表现出很好的疏水性,Na2SO4的截留率接近100%。  相似文献

Lignocellulosic biomass has potential as an alternative to corn as starting material for the production of ethanol for the development of non-fossil fuel energy sources. In this case, low concentration bioethanol is gained by yeast fermentation and it has to be efficiently recovered and concentrated. For this purpose pervaporation separation of dilute alcohol-aqueous solutions was carried out using a poly(octhylmethyl siloxane) [POMS] membrane. The effect of different process parameters (feed composition, feed temperature, feed flow rate, permeate pressure) on pervaporation performance were investigated and discussed in terms of the separation factor and the total flux. The membrane studied was ethanol to water selective at ethanol feed concentrations lower than 2.5% w/w, while the highest permeability was achieved at feed temperature of 95°C.  相似文献

This work presents the design of hollow fiber T-type zeolite membrane modules with different geometric configurations. The module performances were evaluated by pervaporation dehydration of ethanol/water mixtures. Strong concentration polarization was found for the modules with big membrane bundles. The concen-tration polarization was enhanced at high temperature due to the higher water permeation flux. The increase of feed flow could improve water permeation flux for the membrane modules with small membrane bundle. Computational fluid dynamics was used to visualize the flow field distribution inside of the modules with different configurations. The membrane module with seven bundles exhibited highest separation efficiency due to the uniform distribution of flow rate. The packing density could be 10 times higher than that of the tubular membrane module. The hollow fiber membrane module exhibited good stability for ethanol dehydration.  相似文献

通过γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅(KH-560)对壳聚糖进行交联改性制备乙醇脱水渗透蒸发杂化膜.实验结果表明偶联剂的加入能有效提高壳聚糖膜的分离效果,随着偶联剂含量的增加,杂化膜的对水的选择性先增加后下降,在2%(质量分数)时有最好的选择性.膜的分离因子随着进料温度的增大而降低,随着乙醇浓度的增大而增大;通量随着进料温度的增大而增大,随着乙醇浓度增大而减小.硅烷偶联剂/壳聚糖杂化膜呈现出良好的渗透蒸发分离性能,当进料乙醇浓度为95%(质量分数),温度为35℃时,通量和分离因子分别为134g/(h·m2)和97214.  相似文献

The use of air‐gap membrane distillation for the selective removal of propanone from aqueous solutions was tested. The effect of the following operating conditions upon flux and selectivity was experimentally examined: feed concentration, feed flow rate, feed temperature, and coolant temperature. Although the PVDF membranes tested performed well at the propanone feed concentrations encountered in fermentation processes, they demonstrated wetting limitations at higher concentrations. Within the feed temperature range of 40–70 °C, and propanone concentration up to 6 wt%, propanone selectivities of 2–6 were achieved. Pervaporation membranes for the dehydration of water–ethanol mixtures were prepared from a semi‐interpenetrating polymer network (semi‐IPN) of natural rubber (NR) and crosslinked poly(acrylic acid) (PAA). The swelling studies revealed that hydrophilic PAA present in the semi‐IPN membranes caused the membranes to swell greatly in water. The swelling degree of the membranes in water was significantly affected by the amount ratio between the hydrophobic NR and the hydrophilic PAA. The sorption experiments of the NR/PAA membranes in various concentrations of water–ethanol mixtures suggested the preferential sorption to water. However, for the membrane with high PAA content, the water sorption selectivity decreased considerably at high water concentration of water–ethanol mixtures because the membrane was in the highly swollen state. Pervaporation separations of water–ethanol mixtures using NR/PAA membranes were performed and it was found that at low water concentrations of feed mixtures, increasing the PAA content of the membrane can enhance both water permeation flux and selectivity. Additionally, under low feed water concentration, increasing the feed temperature would increase the water flux with the decreasing of the ethanol flux. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
