A multi-band monopole antenna with wideband characteristic is proposed for DVB-H/DCS1800/PCS1900/IMT2000/Wibro/WLAN/ S-DMB applications. By using a meander structure and tapered feeding line, wideband characteristic can be achieved. The proposed antenna has an omnidirectional radiation pattern and yields greater than -4 dBi of antenna gain at the DVB-H band and 3 dBi for high- band, respectively. 相似文献

A novel multiple meander strip monopole antenna is presented. By iteratively meandering the vertical strip, compactness and broadband characteristics for the monopole antenna were achieved simultaneously. The designed monopole antenna with a radiation element volume of 14/spl times/14/spl times/14 mm/sup 3/ has the measured bandwidth ratio of 3.87:1, from 2.83 to 10.96 GHz for VSWR/spl les/2, with fairly frequency-insensitive omni-directional radiation characteristics. 相似文献

A small rectangular loop antenna (RLA) for RFID tags has been designed and fabricated for the UHF band. As the structure of a meander line and a folded meander line is applied in a general RLA, the RLA is miniaturised. The size reduction rate of meander line RLA and folded meander line RLA are 85.4 and 92.2% compared with a general RLA, respectively. The radiation patterns are omnidirectional in the z-y plane (horizontal pol.). Also the gain of the meander line RLA and folded meander line RLA are -2.47 and -4.01 dBd, respectively 相似文献

A novel compact microstrip-fed meander slot antenna is proposed to achieve suppression of harmonics and miniaturisation of the antenna. To obtain these characteristics, a meander-type slot radiator and U-shaped conductor line connected with the ground plane are applied. The real parts of the measured input impedance at the second- and third-harmonic frequencies are nearly zero. In the measured radiation patterns in E- and H-plane, the second- and third-harmonic suppressions are observed to be approximately less than -30 dB. 相似文献

A modified meander line monopole antenna is presented for broadband operation. The impedance and radiation characteristics of the antenna are investigated. The proposed antenna achieved a bandwidth of approximately 845 MHz with S11< -10 dB, which covered the GPS, DCS, PCS, UMTS and WiBro bands. The electrical characteristics of the proposed antenna appear to be attractive for mobile terminals and repeater applications. 相似文献

The growth of voids in conductor lines that have no applied voltage nor imposed thermal or concentration gradients is examined. Such voids can cause narrow aluminium conductors in silicon ICs to fail spontaneously. Recent attempts to describe void growth mathematically as a stress-driven diffusive phenomenon are reviewed, and an expression for the time dependent void size is derived. The operating frequency of the antenna is continuously tuned over the frequency range of the DVB-H standard 470-702 MHz. The antenna has an omnidirectional radiation pattern and covers the frequency range with requisite impedance bandwidth and gain level. Crosstie-overlay slow-wave transmission lines are used in a traveling-wave antenna array to reduce the circuit size. Series connection of the antenna radiation elements and transmission lines makes the antenna integratable. These two properties make the antenna suitable for microwave monolithic integrated circuit (MMIC) elements. The measured radiation pattern is shown to agree with the calculated pattern. This paper presents a CPW-fed UWB filter-antenna with sharp and high rejection multiple band notches for band-notched UWB communication applications. The band notch operation is achieved by employing a sharp bandstop filter (BSF) with multiple reject bands using only one element meander line resonator at the bottom layer through theoretical calculations and parametric studies. The adjustment of the notched bands is successfully accomplished by loading the meander line with open ended stubs to modify the harmonic frequencies to the desired bands. The structure of the proposed BSF is simple and compact so that the proposed filter-antenna is achieved with the same size of the reference UWB antenna without an extra area. Measurement results show that the proposed filter-antenna has two notches at the WiMAX systems operating in the 5.8 GHz (5.725–5.85 GHz) and at the international telecommunication union (ITU) operating in the 8.2 GHz (8.025–8.4 GHz). Also, it has sharp rejection characteristics at the edges of the federal communication commission (FCC) band for UWB communications. The experimental measurements are in good agreement with theoretical and simulation results for the BSF and the filter-antenna. Moreover, the filter-antenna exhibits stable omnidirectional radiation patterns except at the notched bands. 相似文献

A novel planar meander sleeve monopole antenna for digital video broadcasting-hand held (DVB-H) and GSM mobile handsets is presented. By using the planar sleeve monopole type radiating element constructed with meander strips, the antenna provides a degree of miniaturisation while retaining a wide bandwidth covering the DVB-H and GSM-900 bands. A prototype is constructed and tested, which shows that an impedance bandwidth of 498 MHz (463-961 MHz) within 2.5:1 VSWR is achieved. 相似文献

A novel CPW-fed circularly polarised antenna with corrugated structure and meander line loaded is presented. This antenna can achieve 44% size reduction compared to the conventional CPW-fed slot antenna. Predicted results are validated by experiment. The aim of this reported work was to achieve miniaturisation of an antenna for a wireless mic system covering the 216-224 MHz band. A double rectangular loop structure using a meander line was applied for size reduction and the broad bandwidth of the antenna. A novel broadband and small multilayer ceramic chip antenna has been designed and investigated. The proposed antenna has a small size of 14×2.4×1 mm3.
