聚醚醚酮(PEEK)基自润滑复合材料具有摩擦因数低、耐磨性好等特点,可以在无润滑、高温、潮湿、污染、腐蚀等恶劣环境下使用。本文综述了对聚醚醚酮(PEEK)基复合材料摩擦学研究的新进展,讨论了纤维增强、无机填充、有机共混改性以及温度、对偶和介质、固体润滑剂等对PEEK基复合材料摩擦学性能的影响,介绍了PEEK基复合材料在人工关节假体材料方面的应用,指出PEEK摩擦复合材料今后的研究方向,以期扩大PEEK复合材料的摩擦学工程应用。  相似文献

The failure caused by fretting wear is a key issue in orthopedic applications as well as other engineering applications. In this study, fretting wear tests were conducted on poly (ether ether ketone) (PEEK), glass fiber reinforced PEEK (GFRPEEK) and carbon fiber reinforced PEEK (CFRPEEK), respectively. Surface characterizations of tested specimens were performed using XRD, microhardness tester, 3D white-light interfering profilometry, SEM and optical microscopy to analyze their wear features. The obtained results showed that the fibers increased the microhardness values and reduced the friction coefficients and wear rates of PEEK-based composites. The fretting regimes of PEEK, GFRPEEK and CFRPEEK were gross slip. The fretting wear mechanisms of those PEEK composites were dominated by abrasive wear, adhesive wear and delamination. CFRPEEK has demonstrated superior fretting wear characteristics, and hence, is a potential bio-implant material for applications such as artificial joints.  相似文献

Ocean tribology, a new research field of tribology, is currently being established and developed. The tribological behaviors of polyether ether ketone (PEEK), poly(phenyl p-hydroxybenzoate) (PHBA), polyimide (PI), and perfluoroethylene propylene copolymer (FEP) sliding against GCr15 and 316 steel rings under the lubrication of sea water were studied and compared with that under the lubrication of pure water. The results show that the friction and wear behaviors of a polymer under the lubrication of aqueous medium are not only related to the properties of polymer itself, but also to the corrosive effect and lubricating effect of the medium. When a polymer slid against GCr15 steel under sea water lubrication, the friction coefficient and wear rate of polymer were much larger than that under pure water lubrication because of indirect corrosive wear. However, when sliding against corrosion-resistant 316 steel, polymers PEEK, FEP, and PI exhibited lower coefficients of friction and wear rates under sea water lubrication, this was attributed to better lubricating effect of sea water as a result of the deposition of CaCO3 and Mg(OH)2 on the counterface. On the contrary, the friction coefficient and wear rate of PHBA sliding against 316 steel under sea water lubrication were larger than that under pure water lubrication, which may be related to the properties of PHBA itself.  相似文献

以机械共混的方式制备了热塑性聚酰亚胺/聚醚醚酮(TPI/PEEK)共混物;用熔体流动速率仪研究了共混物的流变性能,用差示扫描量热仪考察了共混物的相容性和热性能,用广角X射线衍射仪研究了共混物的形态和结晶性能。结果表明:共混物的熔体流动指数随PEEK含量的降低和熔体温度的升高而增加;共混物为不相容体系;随TPI含量的减少,共混体系中PEEK的结晶温度和熔点分别升高,而结晶度降低,X射线衍射的结晶峰越来越明显,峰面积也随之增大。  相似文献

The current study examines the tribological performance of polymer/metal contacts in the presence of refrigerant versus ambient air under conditions simulating refrigeration compressors. Ten different polymers were employed as potential compressor bearing materials; four unfilled polymers and six blended polymers. All polymers were tested against cast iron samples of RMS roughness 0.3--0.5 μm and representative testing was performed against aluminum alloy disks. Experiments conducted in R-134A refrigerant exhibited slightly favorable friction and wear characteristics compared to experiments conducted in ambient air. Moreover, all blended polymers have superior tribological characteristics to unfilled polymers and metals. PEEK and polyimide in both unfilled and blended forms exhibit minimal wear and do not adversely affect the metal disks. This study also shows that although coherent, uniform films were not produced under compressor-like conditions, as evidenced by scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, the tested polymers still have favorable tribological properties and are good candidates for tribological contacts in refrigeration compressors.  相似文献

为研究3D打印各向异性对摩擦性能的影响,通过熔融沉积成型(FDM)制备了0°、45°、90°3种打印角度的聚醚醚酮(PEEK)试样,研究3种不同打印角度及载荷变化对PEEK试样摩擦学性能及磨损机制的影响。利用MFT-5000摩擦磨损试验机对PEEK材料进行室温水润滑下的往复滑动摩擦试验,用超景深显微镜观察磨损后表面形貌。试验结果表明:不同载荷下3种打印角度试样的摩擦因数由大到小依次为0°试样、90°试样、45°试样,磨损率由大到小依次为90°试样、45°试样、0°试样;随着载荷的增大,3种不同打印角度试样的摩擦因数均呈现下降趋势,磨损率则呈现上升趋势;PEEK磨损机制是黏着磨损以及疲劳磨损引起的表层脱落。  相似文献

This paper focuses on coatings based on poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) applied to metal substrates and their tribological investigation. Short carbon fibres (SCF), graphite, and 300 nm titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc sulphide (ZnS) particles were used as filler materials for the PEEK. These filler materials and their combinations were found to have a significant influence on the tribological behaviour of the corresponding PEEK compounds. One of the compounds (PEEK6) was found, especially at higher temperatures and under higher normal loads, to be a good coating material showing superior tribological behaviour. For PEEK6, a specific wear rate and a coefficient of friction (COF) lower than those for the best commercially available PEEK compound (PEEK4) were measured. For specific test parameters, PEEK6 showed a COF of less than 0.1. The tribological results were also compared with those of a conventional sliding bearing material based on poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF).  相似文献

PEEK, an engineering polymer with many advantages such as lightweight, high thermal stability, high strength coupled with toughness, has often been used as a substitute for metals in applications such as bearings, piston parts, pumps and even biomaterials. However, it shows high coefficient of friction which results in high wear rate when used in tribological applications. This paper seeks to solve tribological problems of high friction and wear for PEEK by applying an ultrathin layer of perfluoropolyether (PFPE) and Multiply-Alkylated Cyclopentane (MAC) lubricants on the surface of PEEK. Results obtained from tribological tests conducted showed that for highly improved tribological performance, there is an optimal initial surface roughness of PEEK surface and lubricant concentration or the thickness of the coatings for both PFPE and MAC lubricant. Also, MAC performs better compared to PFPE for thinner films.  相似文献

An overview is given on the friction and wear properties of high temperature resistant polymers, in particular polyetheretherketone (PEEK), under various testing conditions against smooth steel counterparts. The effects of internal lubricants, especially polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), and short fibre reinforcements (glass vs. carbon) are outlined. In addition, results of sliding wear experiments with continuous glass, carbon or aramid fibre-polymer matrix composites against steel were used to develop a hypothetical model composite with optimum wear resistance.  相似文献

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK)-based composites reinforced with lubricant additive (polytetrafluoroethylene, PTFE) and reinforcement additives including carbon fiber (CF), glass fiber (GF), and bronze powder were prepared using a hot-press molding technique. The synergetic effects of different additives on the tribological behaviors of PEEK-based composites sliding against 316 steel under seawater lubrication were investigated systematically using a ring-on-block test rig. The results showed that lubricant additive PTFE can decrease the friction coefficient and consequently improved the wear resistance of PEEK under seawater lubrication, especially when the volume fraction of PTFE was about 20%. It was also found that the incorporation of CF can further improve the wear resistance of PEEK blended with 20% PTFE, especially under high load and high sliding speed. This suggested that a synergistic effect on improving the wear resistance of PEEK existed between PTFE and CF, which originated from good lubrication of PTFE, good reinforcement of CF, and good interfacial combination between CF and PEEK-20%PTFE. However, two other reinforcement additives of GF and bronze powder had an antagonistic effect but not a synergetic effect with PTFE; that is, the incorporation of the two additives greatly deteriorated the wear resistance of PEEK blended with 20% PTFE.  相似文献

Four polytetrafluoroethylene-based polymer blends (PTFE blends) with polyimide (PI), polyether ether ketone (PEEK), poly(phenyl p-hydroxybenzoate) (PHBA), and perfluoroethylene propylene copolymer (FEP) were prepared by compression molding and follow-up sintering. Their microstructure was observed by scanning electron microscope. And the tribological behaviors of PTFE blends sliding against 316 steel under pure water and sea water lubrication were comparatively evaluated using block-on-ring tribology test rig. The worn surface of counterpart was examined by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The results showed that by blending with the four polymers, PTFE exhibited the transformed microstructure and improved wear resistance. Compared with FEP, rigid polymers PI, PHBA, and PEEK can enhance the wear resistance of PTFE greatly because they can effectively improve the load-carrying capacity of PTFE matrix and can more efficiently prevent the crystalline bands of PTFE from being pulled out. However, because of the weak inhibition on the pulling out of PTFE crystalline bands, FEP cannot enhance the wear resistance of PTFE as significantly as other polymers. In addition, the friction coefficients and wear rates of PTFE and its blends were lower under the lubrication of sea water than under the lubrication of pure water, which was ascribed to more excellent lubricating effect of sea water originating from the deposition of CaCO3 and Mg(OH)2 onto the sliding surfaces.  相似文献

为了寻找适合于水液压泵/马达的摩擦副材料,以316 L不锈钢与纯聚醚醚酮树脂、30%玻璃纤维增强PEEK(PEEKGF30)、30%碳纤维增强PEEK(PEEKCA30),PTFE和石墨及碳纤维填充PEEK(PEEKHPV)组成的摩擦副为研究对象,利用MMW-1立式万能摩擦磨损试验机测量摩擦副在水润滑下接触表面的摩擦因数和温度以及试样的磨损量,并通过激光共聚焦显微镜对试件表面磨损形貌进行分析。结果表明:316 L-PEEKHPV摩擦副的摩擦因数、摩擦温升、磨损量均小于其余3组摩擦副,适合作为水液压泵/马达的关键摩擦副材料。316 L不锈钢与PEEKGF30配对时,摩擦机制为涂抹和擦伤,磨损较为严重;与PEEKCA30配对时,摩擦机制为擦伤;与PEEKHPV配对时摩擦机制主要为划伤,磨损较为轻微。  相似文献

A series of blends with Polytetrafluroethylene (PTFE) powder and Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) was developed by varying the PTFE contents in steps of 5 wt.% from 0 to 20 wt.%. The composites were evaluated for their friction and wear properties at room temperature as well as high temperature in low amplitude oscillating wear (LAOW) mode against steel (100 Cr 6) ball against polymer plate. The same blends were also evaluated in abrasive wear mode to study the influence of harsh operating conditions on wear and friction performance. Incorporation of PTFE benefited PEEK in various ways such as it increased the tribo-utility of the latter by increasing its limiting load value, removing its stick-slip tendency, lowering coefficient of friction and specific wear rate significantly. With increase in PTFE content, benefits to the wear performance increased regularly. This was not the case for friction coefficient. Lowest μ was recorded for 15% PTFE contents. The enhancement in wear and friction performance, however, was at the cost of strength properties which decreased substantially with increase in PTFE content. At 100 °C, friction coefficient and wear rates of all blends increased marginally. In abrasive wear mode, on the other hand, PTFE filled PEEK showed poorer wear resistance than neat PEEK. This was correlated with strength properties and it was observed that these blends closely followed the predictions of Ratner–Lancaster plot. SEM was used to examine the micro-structural features of worn surfaces.  相似文献

为改善聚醚醚酮(PEEK)在矿井工况下的摩擦性能,选用纳米二氧化硅(SiO2)、二硫化钼(MoS2)和短切碳纤维(CF)为增强填料制备PEEK/SiO2/CF-MoS2复合材料,并探究PEEK/SiO2/CF-MoS2复合材料在不同工况条件下的滑动与滚动摩擦学性能;通过模拟滚轮罐耳在矿井环境下的运行方式,分析其磨损形貌和磨损机制。结果表明:PEEK/SiO2/CF-MoS2复合材料在不同载荷条件下均具有良好的减摩和耐磨特性;滑动摩擦在水介质工况下及滚动摩擦在干摩擦工况下,复合材料的摩擦因数和磨损率最低,其磨损机制均以磨粒磨损为主。与矿井常用的聚氨酯材料的对比,PEEK/SiO2/CF-MoS2复合材料的摩擦学性能更为优异。  相似文献

针对液压往复密封的低摩擦、高耐磨、耐高压抗挤出、耐液压油等独特工况条件,采用聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)和碳纤维对聚醚醚酮(PEEK)材料进行填充改性,研究改性PEEK材料的力学性能和摩擦磨损性能,并与填料改性PTFE材料进行比较。通过结构设计和有限元仿真分析,对改性PEEK材料与弹性体材料组合的密封件在不同温度下的密封性能进行了模拟和分析,并通过密封功能试验对模拟分析结果进行了验证。结果发现:质量分数20%PTFE填充改性PEEK材料的摩擦因数最低,且其对金属摩擦副无损伤,更适用于液压往复密封;组合密封能有效克服PEEK材料弹性性能差、安装困难的不足。有限元仿真分析结果表明,组合密封在不同温度下能很好适应42 MPa的压力。密封功能试验表明,组合密封比单一PEEK材料密封的启动摩擦力小、泄漏率低,证明改性PEEK材料可替代聚四氟乙烯和尼龙材料应用在液压往复密封领域。  相似文献

利用真空热压烧结技术制备了不同碳纤含量的碳纤维/聚醚醚酮(CF/PEEK)复合材料,采用热导率分析仪和热重测试仪对材料的热学性能进行表征,并利用多功能摩擦磨损试验机、三维形貌轮廓仪、扫描电子显微镜和摩擦静电计对材料的摩擦磨损性能和抗摩擦静电性能进行分析。分析结果表明:随着CF添加量的增加,复合材料摩擦因数、磨损率和摩擦静电电压先降低后升高,当CF添加量(质量分数)为20%时,摩擦因数、磨损率和摩擦静电电压达到最低,分别为0.247、5.6×10-6 mm/(N·m)和3.3 V,证明此种方法制备的20%CF/PEEK材料具有优异的摩擦磨损性能和抗静电性能。CF/PEEK复合材料磨损机理以黏着磨损为主,并且伴随着轻微的磨粒磨损。  相似文献

Abstract

As a 3D printing technology, selective laser melting has remarkable advantages such as high processing flexibility, high material utilization, and short production cycle. The applications of selective laser melting technology in industry have become quite extensive. There are many tribological studies on selective laser melting materials, but few based on water lubrication (Zhu, et al., Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A, 19(2), pp 95–110). In this article, the tribological properties of 316L stainless steel processed by selective laser melting and traditional methods have been studied under water lubrication. Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) filled with carbon fiber (CF)/polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE)/graphite was selected as the counterpart. 316L stainless steel and PEEK are a tribopair commonly used in water hydraulics. This study is of great significance to the application of selective laser melting material of tribopairs in water hydraulics. Friction and wear tests were carried out on a pin-on-disc contact test apparatus under different operating conditions. The friction coefficient, specific wear coefficient, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) of the worn surface, and energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) of the surface adhesions of the three tribopairs were measured and compared. The results revealed that the friction coefficient of the selective laser melting (SLM) 316L stainless steel was significantly higher than that of traditionally processed (TP) 316L stainless steel, which might be caused by the pores on the surface of SLM 316L stainless steel. Adhesion and cutting on the surface of SLM 316L stainless steel were also more serious, resulting in a higher specific wear coefficient of its counterpart PEEK composite compared to PEEK composite against TP 316L stainless steel.  相似文献

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) is a designation given to materials of the polyaryletherketone family having a characteristic distribution of ether and ketone groups in the polymer backbone. PEEK materials have high strength and chemical resistance as well as very high melting points and glass transition temperatures. Because of this combination of properties, PEEK materials find use for wear application in extreme environments where they provide a light-weight and corrosion resistant bearing material that often does not require lubrication. This study focused on determining the effects of supplier and molecular weight on the wear of particular PEEK materials, in addition to the effect of contact pressure. Multidirectional wear testing was performed on four PEEK materials. The materials were obtained from two different suppliers, and two molecular weights were chosen for each supplier. Extensive analysis of transfer films produced during wear testing was performed using optical microscopy. White light profilometry was used to measure transfer film thickness in order to calculate a mean film thickness for given experimental conditions. Dynamic mechanical analysis, as well as gel permeation chromatography and differential scanning calorimetry were used to characterize each material's viscoelastic behavior, molecular weight, and crystallinity, respectively. It was found that the wear of PEEK materials was significantly affected by both contact pressure and molecular weight, but not by supplier. However, an interaction was observed that showed the low molecular weight material from one of the suppliers was more vulnerable to wear at high contact pressures than the other three materials. Results of transfer film analysis showed that film thickness was greatest in locations where pin sliding direction was perpendicular to the counterface roughness direction, but that mean transfer film thickness did not correlate to wear amounts. This work is significant because it highlights the fact that tribologically relevant polymers, such as PEEK materials, vary greatly in terms of their polymer morphology and processing history, and this variation must be recognized by investigators when reporting wear data.  相似文献

用热压成型法制备了纳米、微米SiO2填充聚醚砜酮(PPESK)复合材料,考察了复合材料的硬度和抗弯强度,并研究了干摩擦条件下纳米、微米SiO2颗粒对复合材料摩擦磨损性能的影响,用扫描电镜观察分析了复合材料磨损表面形貌及磨损机理。结果表明:干摩擦条件下,纳米SiO2填充PPESK主要是轻微的磨粒磨损;而微米SiO2填充PPESK主要是严重的磨粒磨损。  相似文献

Poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE)‐blended poly(ether‐etherketone) (PEEK)‐based materials for bearings was evaluated by ring‐on‐disc test equipment. The role of PTFE on load carrying capacities was studied from the viewpoint of tribochemistry. The load carrying capacities of PEEK‐based materials were improved by the addition of PTFE. The dispersion degree of PTFE in PEEK strongly affected the tribological properties. Time‐of‐flight secondary ion mass spectroscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy were employed to study the surface chemistry of the rubbed surface. The results indicate that the formation of boundary film composed of PTFE is beneficial to improve load carrying capacities. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
