1 电信制造业市场疲软 国内电信设备制造业经过十几年的高速发展,正面临从未有过的严峻局面。近来,中国所有上市的通信设备制造商的财务报表都显示,上半年利润严重下滑。 大唐电信公司净利润与去年同期相比下降94.20％;烽火通信实现净利润4635.53万元人民币,同比下降45.86％。东方通信净利润仅6,947万元人民币,利润同比下降47％;中兴收入有所增长但净利润下滑,利润同比下降27％;南京熊     

全球十大通信设备公司名次变化

环顾全球通信设备制造业,可以很明显地发现,通信设备业主要集中于全球最大的十家公司。1997年,这十家通信设备制造商的通信设备销售收入达到1400亿美元,占全球通信设备销售收入的60%以上。1995～1997年,全球最大的十家通信设备制造商排名变化如表中所列。在这全球十大通信设备制造厂商中,销售收入超过120亿美元的公司有七家,其中朗讯公司已两年独占螯头。朗讯公司继1996年超过摩托罗拉和阿尔卡特后,1997年继续保持领先地位,这均有赖于公司制定的发展战略。1997年7月,朗讯为了加强其在高增值市场的实力,耗资18亿美元收购ｏｃｔｅｌ通信公司。…

Evolution of telecommunications in Russia

The current status of Russia's telecommunications infrastructure does not correspond to the country's increasing demands. The creation of a commercial digital overlay network is apparently the only possible solution to provide modern telecommunications services. This article describes the following aspects of the evolution of telecommunications in Russia: a classification of the main specific features of the existing telecommunications networks; an analysis of the telecommunications statistics and forecasting of the main characteristics; likely future scenarios of the evolving telecommunications system; and the main telecommunications projects that will be carried out in the nearest future. Until now, the public switched telephone network (PSTN), a unique system providing basic dialogue services (speech, data transmission, etc.), was the single solution to provide national telecommunications. For this reason, we first describe the main features of the Russian national PSTN

An overview of telecommunications switching systems currently deployed in China is presented. The hierarchy of China's automatic public switched telephone network (PSTN) and the common channel signaling that is being deployed in the PSTN are discussed. China's national synchronization network, switching deployment, and numbering plan are also discussed

An overview of planning for the public switched telephone network (PSTN) in China is presented. Telecommunications planning is performed by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPT), the government agency responsible for telecommunications research and development, planning, and operation of the overall telecommunications networks in China. The planning process, which produces both fundamental (requirements) and developmental (implementation) plans, is described

This article reviews the achievements and history of telecommunications development in China, and analyzes the development of the telecommunications services market in China. The analysis is mainly focused on total turnover of telecommunications services, the development of telecommunications services, and competition in the market. Finally, it analyzes issues on policies and regulations for telecommunications, and gives development targets for the future     

Telecommunications in Russia

National telecommunications has undergone significant changes. Some of these changes and the main principles of the national telecommunications system are described. First the milestones of the previous years are considered. Afterward, the structure of the public switched telephone network (PSTN), the basis of national telecommunications, is presented. We then deal with statistics and forecasting. Two tables present the development of the main telecommunication networks. A third table allows us to compare telecommunications development in the republics of the former USSR. Three figures show the forecasts of the main indexes of future telecommunications. General evolution tendencies inherent in Russian telecommunications are described next, including new technologies and services. One example related to modern equipment application is described. Finally, we deal with aspects of Russian telecommunications liberalization
