Flowering is a pivotal developmental process in response to the environment and determines the start of a new life cycle in plants. Woody plants usually possess a long juvenile nonflowering phase followed by an adult phase with repeated flowering cycles. The molecular mechanism underlying flowering regulation in woody plants is believed to be much more complex than that in annual herbs. In this review, we briefly describe the successive but distinct flowering processes in perennial trees, namely the vegetative phase change, the floral transition, floral organogenesis, and final blooming, and summarize in detail the most recent advances in understanding how woody plants regulate flowering through dynamic gene expression. Notably, the florigen gene FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT) and its antagonistic gene TERMINAL FLOWER 1 (TFL1) seem to play a central role in various flowering transition events. Flower development in different taxa requires interactions between floral homeotic genes together with AGL6 conferring floral organ identity. Finally, we illustrate the issues and corresponding measures of flowering regulation investigation. It is of great benefit to the future study of flowering in perennial trees.  相似文献

Anthocyanins are responsible for the red color of strawberry, they are a subclass of flavonoids synthesized in cytosol and transferred to vacuole to form the visible color. Previous studies in model and ornamental plants indicated members of the glutathione S-transferase (GST) gene family were involved in vacuolar accumulation of anthocyanins. In the present study, a total of 130 FaGST genes were identified in the genome of cultivated strawberry (Fragaria × ananassa), which were unevenly distributed across the 28 chromosomes from the four subgenomes. Evolutionary analysis revealed the expansion of FaGST family was under stable selection and mainly drove by WGD/segmental duplication event. Classification and phylogenetic analysis indicated that all the FaGST genes were clarified into seven subclasses, among which FaGST1, FaGST37, and FaGST97 belonging to Phi class were closely related to FvRAP, an anthocyanin-related GST of wildwood strawberry, and this clade was clustered with other known anthocyanin-related GSTs. RNAseq-based expression analysis at different developmental stages of strawberry revealed that the expression of FaGST1, FaGST37, FaGST39, FaGST73, and FaGST97 was gradually increased during the fruit ripening, consistent with the anthocyanins accumulation. These expression patterns of those five FaGST genes were also significantly correlated with those of other anthocyanin biosynthetic genes such as FaCHI, FaCHS, and FaANS, as well as anthocyanin regulatory gene FaMYB10. These results indicated FaGST1, FaGST37, FaGST39, FaGST73, and FaGST97 may function in vacuolar anthocyanin accumulation in cultivated strawberry.  相似文献

Floral scents possess high ornamental and economic values to rose production in the floricultural industry. In the past two decades, molecular bases of floral scent production have been studied in the rose as well as their genetic inheritance. Some significant achievements have been acquired, such as the comprehensive rose genome and the finding of a novel geraniol synthase in plants. In this review, we summarize the composition of floral scents in modern roses, focusing on the recent advances in the molecular mechanisms of floral scent production and emission, as well as the latest developments in molecular breeding and metabolic engineering of rose scents. It could provide useful information for both studying and improving the floral scent production in the rose.  相似文献

Phosphatidyl ethanolamine-binding proteins (PEBPs) are involved in regulating flowering time and various developmental processes. Functions and expression patterns in cultivated peanuts (Arachis hypogaea L.) remain unknown. In this study, 33 PEBP genes in cultivated peanuts were identified and divided into four subgroups: FT, TFL, MFT and FT-like. Gene structure analysis showed that orthologs from A and B genomes in cultivated peanuts had highly similar structures, but some orthologous genes have subgenomic dominance. Gene collinearity and phylogenetic analysis explain that some PEBP genes play key roles in evolution. Cis-element analysis revealed that PEBP genes are mainly regulated by hormones, light signals and stress-related pathways. Multiple PEPB genes had different expression patterns between early and late-flowering genotypes. Further detection of its response to temperature and photoperiod revealed that PEBPs ArahyM2THPA, ArahyEM6VH3, Arahy4GAQ4U, ArahyIZ8FG5, ArahyG6F3P2, ArahyLUT2QN, ArahyDYRS20 and ArahyBBG51B were the key genes controlling the flowering response to different flowering time genotypes, photoperiods and temperature. This study laid the foundation for the functional study of the PEBP gene in cultivated peanuts and the adaptation of peanuts to different environments.  相似文献

Volatile ester compounds are important contributors to the flavor of strawberry, which affect consumer preference. Here, the GC-MS results showed that volatile esters are the basic aroma components of strawberry, banana, apple, pear, and peach, and the volatile esters were significantly accumulated with the maturation of strawberry fruits. The main purpose of this study is to discuss the relationship between carboxylesterases (CXEs) and the accumulation of volatile ester components in strawberries. FaCXE2 and FaCXE3 were found to have the activity of hydrolyzing hexyl acetate, Z-3-hexenyl acetate, and E-2-hexenyl acetate to the corresponding alcohols. The enzyme kinetics results showed that FaCXE3 had the higher affinity for hexyl acetate, E-2-hexenyl acetate, and Z-3-hexenyl acetate compared with FaCXE2. The volatile esters were mainly accumulated at the maturity stages in strawberry fruits, less at the early stages, and the least during the following maturation stages. The expression of FaCXE2 gradually increased with fruit ripening and the expression level of FaCXE3 showed a decreasing trend, which suggested the complexity of the true function of CXEs. The transient expression of FaCXE2 and FaCXE3 genes in strawberry fruits resulted in a significantly decreased content of volatile esters, such as Z-3-hexenyl acetate, methyl hexanoate, methyl butyrate, and other volatile esters. Taken together, FaCXE2 and FaCXE3 are indeed involved in the regulation of the synthesis and degradation of strawberry volatile esters.  相似文献

建立了啶酰菌胺在草莓和土壤中的残留分析方法,样品经丙酮提取,二氯甲烷液-液分配,固相萃取小柱净化后,进行高效液相色谱分析.仪器最小检出量为0.1 ng,在草莓和土壤中的最低检出质量分数均为0.02 mg/kg.在草莓中的平均添加回收率为92.3%~94.4%,变异系数为2.64~4.82;在土壤中的平均添加回收率为89.0%~94.3%,变异系数为3.72~5.43.  相似文献
