ATM安全概观

安全性问题在当今的网络环境中正变得越来越重要。ＡＴＭ作为未来高速网络的骨干技术，必须集成安全机制。然而，对ＡＴＭ安全的研究才刚刚开始，ＡＴＭ论坛安全工作组最近提出一一个ＡＴＭ安全构架的草案，并通过了第一阶段的安全建议，由于ＡＴＭ自身的一些特点，其安全机制的实现显得困难重重。     

Security in data networks

The explosive growth of data networks and their commercial application is driving the need for improved security. This paper aims to raise awareness of the features of secure data networks and the role that encryption plays in this context. An overview of data network security is provided by examining a number of currently available technologies, and how they may be combined to provide a secure network. This is illustrated by a review of existing and proposed encryption services offered by BT/Concert. Taking a glimpse into the future, the ATM Forum's proposals for security in ATM networks are summarised.     

Securing multimedia services over satellite ATM networks

In recent years there has been increasing interest in interconnecting satellite and ATM networks, because both share common characteristics of the ability to provide bandwidth-on-demand and flexibility of integrating voice, video and data services. There are several new satellite constellation proposals that support multimedia service and transport ATM traffic. For a successful implementation of such systems it is essential to address the security requirements of users, satellite ATM network operators and multimedia service providers. In order to minimize delay and the cost of implementing security systems for satellite ATM networks, the network operator role (in security services) can be limited to the mutual authentication with satellite users during call set-up periods. In this paper a mutual authentication protocol between the user and the satellite network is presented using digital signature and public key systems. Also, another mutual authentication protocol between the user and the service provider is presented to provide end-to-end authentication and negotiation of security options such as selecting a secret key system and the key length. Finally, a detailed hardware implementation of ATM cell payload encryption is presented using the DES/TripleDES secret key system. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

基于改进BP神经网络的ATM系统信息安全评估方法

根据ATM系统3层体系结构,针对ATM系统面临的信息安全问题,提出了应用人工神经网络(ANN)技术来评估ATM系统信息安全的思想;设计了基于改进的BPANN的ATM系统3层神经网络评估模型。根据建立的BP神经网络模型,以ATM信息系统主要信息安全指标作为训练样本,通过学习和训练找出输入与输出之间的内在联系,用训练好的BP网络对ATM信息系统进行评估,并将评估结果与传统的评估方法进行比较。实验结果表明,提出的评估模型具有很强的自适应性和容错能力,适用于复杂的ATM信息系统的安全性评估。实验数据与实际ATM信息系统的运行状态相吻合。     

Asynchronous transfer mode security

It is envisioned that asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) will provide scalable and high-performance application-independent security services. The ATM Forum Security Working Group is currently developing its phase one security specification, which defines a number of security services for the ATM user plane and control plane. In addition, mechanisms for carrying security-related messages and required security infrastructure mechanisms are also being defined. These mechanisms will allow an organization to build an ATM network which not only meets its performance objectives, but also its information protection requirements as specified in its site security policy. This article provides an overview of ATM security as specified by the ATM Forum Security Working Group. First, the ATM user and control planes' security services and mechanisms are described. Then the security messaging mechanisms at connection establishment and during the connection lifetime phases are discussed
