This paper deals with the fault estimation problem for a class of linear time‐delay systems with intermittent fault and measurement noise. Different from existing observer‐based fault estimation schemes, in the proposed design, an iterative learning observer is constructed by using the integrated errors composed of state predictive error and tracking error in the previous iteration. First of all, Lyapunov function including the information of time delay is proposed to guarantee the convergence of system output. Subsequently, a novel fault estimation law based on iterative learning scheme is presented to estimate the size and shape of various fault signals. Upon system output convergence analysis, we proposed an optimal function to select appropriate learning gain matrixes such that tracking error converges to zero, simultaneously to ensure the robustness of the proposed iterative learning observer which is influenced by measurement noise. Note that, an improved sufficient condition for the existence of such an estimator is established in terms of the linear matrix inequality (LMI) by the Schur complements and Young relation. In addition, the results are both suit for the systems with time‐varying delay and the systems with constant delay. Finally, three numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods and two comparability examples are provided to prove the superiority of the algorithm.  相似文献

This article addresses fault detection, estimation, and compensation problem in a class of disturbance driven time delay nonlinear systems. The proposed approach relies on an iterative learning observer (ILO) for fault detection, estimation, and compensation. When there are no faults in the system, the ILO supplies accurate disturbance estimation to the control system where the effect of disturbances on estimation error dynamics is attenuated. At the same time, the proposed ILO can detect sudden changes in the nonlinear system due to faults. As a result upon the detection of a fault, the same ILO is used to excite an adaptive control law in order to offset the effect of faults on the system. Further, the proposed ILO‐based adaptive fault compensation strategy can handle multiple faults. The overall fault detection and compensation strategy proposed in the paper is finally demonstrated in simulation on an automotive engine example to illustrate the effectiveness of this approach. This paper studies the problem of fault estimation and accommodation for a class of nonlinear time‐varying delay systems using adaptive fault diagnosis observer (AFDO). A novel fast adaptive fault estimation algorithm that does not need the derivative of the output vector is proposed to enhance the performance of fault estimation. Meanwhile, a delay‐dependent criteria is obtained based on free weighting matrix method with the purpose of reducing the conservatism of the AFDO design. On the basis of fault estimation, an observer‐based fault‐tolerant controller is designed to guarantee the stability of the closed‐loop system. In terms of matrix inequality, we derive sufficient conditions for the existence of the adaptive observer and fault‐tolerant controller. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley and Sons Asia Pte Ltd and Chinese Automatic Control Society  相似文献

This paper studies the robustness problem of the min–max model predictive control (MPC) scheme for constrained nonlinear time‐varying delay systems subject to bounded disturbances. The notion of the input‐to‐state stability (ISS) of nonlinear time‐delay systems is introduced. Then by using the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method, a delay‐dependent sufficient condition is derived to guarantee input‐to‐state practical stability (ISpS) of the closed‐loop system by way of nonlinear matrix inequalities (NLMI). In order to lessen the online computational demand, the non‐convex min‐max optimization problem is then converted to a minimization problem with linear matrix inequality (LMI) constraints and a suboptimal MPC algorithm is provided. Finally, an example of a truck‐trailer is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed results. This paper deals with the problem of obtaining delay‐dependent stability conditions and L2‐gain analysis for a class of nonlinear time‐delay systems with norm‐bounded and possibly time‐varying uncertainties. No restrictions on the derivative of the time‐varying delay are imposed, though lower and upper bounds of the delay interval are assumed to be known. A Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach is proposed to derive novel delay‐dependent stability conditions which are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). To reduce conservatism, the work exploits the idea of splitting the delay interval in multiple regions, so that specific conditions can be imposed to a unique functional in the different regions. This improves the computed bounds for certain delay‐dependent integral terms, providing less conservative LMI conditions. Examples are provided to demonstrate the reduced conservatism with respect to the available results in the literature. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An observer‐based adaptive fuzzy model following controller is proposed for a class of MIMO nonlinear uncertain systems to cope with time‐delay, uncertainty in plant structure and disturbances. Based on universal approximation theorem the unknown nonlinear functions are approximated by fuzzy systems, where the premise and the consequent parts of the fuzzy rules are tuned with adaptive schemes. To have more robustness, and at the same time to alleviate chattering, an adaptive discontinuous structure is suggested. Moreover, the availability of the states measurement is not required and an adaptive observer is used to estimate the states. Asymptoic stability of the overall system is ensured using suitable a Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional candidate. In this paper, the issue of observer designs for a class of nonlinear continuous‐time systems with time‐delay is addressed, where the nonlinear function is not necessarily Lipschitz. It is shown that both full‐order and reduced‐order observers can be obtained by means of the same linear matrix inequality. A numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley and Sons Asia Pte Ltd and Chinese Automatic Control Society  相似文献

This paper is concerned with delay‐dependent stability for linear systems with time‐varying delays. By decomposing the delay interval into multiple equidistant subintervals, on which different Lyapunov functionals are chosen, and new Lyapunov‐Krasvskii functionals are then constructed. Employing these new Lyapunov‐Krasvskii functionals, some new delay‐dependent stability criteria are established. The numerical examples show that the obtained results are less conservative than some existing ones in the literature. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the delay‐dependent stability and robust stability for uncertain systems with time‐varying delay. Through constructing an appropriate type of Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional and proving its positive definiteness, using slack matrices and a convex combination condition, the delay‐dependent stability criteria, which are less conservative, are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are also given to illustrate the improvement on the conservatism of the delay bound over some existing results. This paper investigates the problem of state observer design for a class of nonlinear uncertain dynamical systems with interval time‐varying delay and the one‐sided Lipschitz condition. By constructing the novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional while utilizing the free‐weighting matrices approach, the one‐sided Lipschitz condition and the quadratic inner‐bounded condition, novel sufficient conditions, which guarantee the observer error converge asymptotically to zero, are established for a class of nonlinear dynamical systems with interval time‐varying delay in terms of the linear matrix inequalities. The computing method for observer gain matrix is given. Finally, two examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Stability robustness of systems with uncertain time delays is considered. A new delay‐dependent state‐space stability criterion is formulated in the form of an easily checked LMI condition. Two applications of the main result are presented, one with only time‐delay uncertainty and one with both delay and parametric uncertainty. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This article addresses the problem of finite‐time stability (FTS) and finite‐time contractive stability (FTCS) for switched nonlinear time‐delay systems (SNTDSs). By virtues of the Lyapunov‐Razumikhin method, Lyapunov functionals approach, and the comparison principle technique, we obtain some improved Razumikhin‐type theorems that verify FTS and FTCS property for SNTDSs. Moreover, our results allow the estimate of the upper bound of the derivatives for Lyapunov functions to be mode dependent functions which can be positive and negative. Meanwhile, the proposed results also improve the related existing results on the same topic by removing some restrictive conditions. Finally, two examples are presented to verify the effectiveness of our methods.  相似文献

This paper presents an approach to the stability analysis of a class of nonlinear interconnected continuous‐time singular systems with arbitrary switching signals. This class of interconnected subsystems consists of unknown but bounded state delay and nonlinear terms, and each subsystem can be globally stable, unstable, or locally stable. By constructing a new Lyapunov‐like Krasovskii functional, sufficient conditions are derived and formulated to check the asymptotic (exponential) stability of such systems with arbitrary switching signals. Then, some new general criteria for asymptotic (exponential) stability with average dwell‐time switching signals are also established. The theoretical developments are demonstrated by two numerical simulations. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The problem of delay‐dependent robust stabilization for uncertain singular discrete‐time systems with Markovian jumping parameters and time‐varying delay is investigated. In terms of free‐weighting‐matrix approach and linear matrix inequalities, a delay‐dependent condition is presented to ensure a singular discrete‐time system to be regular, causal and stochastically stable based on which the stability analysis and robust stabilization problem are studied. An explicit expression for the desired state‐feedback controller is also given. Some numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. We consider general discrete‐time nonlinear systems (of arbitrary nonlinear growth) with time‐varying input delays and design an explicit predictor feedback controller to compensate the input delay. Such results have been achieved in continuous time, but only under the restriction that the delay rate is bounded by unity, which ensures that the input signal flow does not get reversed, namely, that old inputs are not felt multiple times by the plant (because on such subsequent occasions, the control input acts as a disturbance). For discrete‐time systems, an analogous restriction would be that the input delay is non‐increasing. In this work, we do not impose such a restriction. We provide a design and a global stability analysis that allow the input delay to be arbitrary (containing intervals of increase, decrease, or stagnation) over an arbitrarily long finite period of time. Unlike in the continuous‐time case, the predictor feedback law in the discrete‐time case is explicit. We specialize the result to linear time‐invariant systems and provide an explicit estimate of the exponential decay rate. Carefully constructed examples are provided to illustrate the design and analytical challenges. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the delay‐dependent H filtering problem for singular systems with time‐varying delay in a range. In terms of linear matrix inequality approach, the delay‐range‐dependent bounded real lemmas are proposed, which guarantee the considered system to be regular, impulse free and exponentially stable while satisfying a prescribed H performance level. The sufficient conditions are proposed for the existence of linear H filter. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the benefits of the proposed methods. This paper presents a new insight into the delay‐dependent stability for time‐delay systems. Because of the key observation that the positive definiteness of a chosen Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional does not necessarily require all the involved symmetric matrices in the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional to be positive definite, an improved delay‐dependent asymptotic stability condition is presented in terms of a set of LMIs. This fact has been overlooked in the development of previous stability results. The importance of the present method is that a vast number of existing delay‐dependent results on analysis and synthesis of time‐delay systems derived by the Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability theorem can be improved by using this observation without introducing additional variables. The reduction of conservatism of the proposed result is both theoretically and numerically demonstrated. It is believed that the proposed method provides a new direction to improve delay‐dependent results on time‐delay systems. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, fault estimation and active fault-tolerant control are studied for a class of nonlinear systems with simultaneous actuator and sensor faults, as well as unknown external disturbances. Firstly, the state equation of a class of nonlinear systems is transformed into an augmented system state equation by extending the sensor fault as an auxiliary state. Then, a novel fault estimation observer based on iterative learning with unknown inputs is designed to estimate the system state, as well as actuator and sensor faults. Subsequently, by using the fault estimation information, a dynamic output feedback active fault-tolerant control scheme is proposed to compensate for the influence of faults on the system. Lyapunov stability theory is used to prove the stability of the closed-loop system and the convergence of the fault estimation observer. The gain matrices of the fault estimation observer and fault-tolerant controller are obtained by solving linear matrix inequalities. Furthermore, the paper avoids the use of the norm in the convergence proof of the conventional iterative learning algorithm, which reduces the amount of calculation in the derivation process. Finally, the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed method are verified through simulation of the DC motor angular velocity system.  相似文献
